Season One : Episode One, The Pilot.
โฌโฌโฌโฌโฌโฌโฌโฌโฌ
The sun shined bright this sunny morning in Los Angeles, as the morning soon came it also came time for everyone to wake up. Well for Becca, that was kind of a hard thing to do.
Becca was in a deep sleep from staying up the night before, catching up on Love Island but this soon came to bite her in the ass, as the sound of her door being busted open.
"Mom?, Mommy, Mom!"
Becca takes the pillow off her head, and rises up quickly to face whichever child of hers is trying to
get her attention.
"I'm up, I'm up..what's uh.." She rubbed her eyes, facing her daughter Aryana, "Yes Aryana." Becca Said
Aryana the sassy also bright eight year old was Becca's only daughter, she stood with her arms crossed staring at her mother with a sad look.
"Mom it's 7:20, remember you promised us that you would make us pancakes this morning." Aryana Said, as Becca sighed.
Becca picked up her phone from the end table, and looked at the time and groaned.
"I did didn't I, damn it I must have overslept, I'm so sorry baby. Hey about I make you and your brothers some cereal for breakfast instead, is that okay?" Becca suggested
"Fine I guess, but I really wanted chocolate pancakes." Aryana Said
"I know sweetie I'm sorry, come on let's go." She pulled the covers off her, standing to her feet, "Speaking of are your brothers even up?" Becca Asked
"Yeah, Bryan and Dylan are downstairs watching Tv." Aryana Said
Becca and Aryana walked downstairs, she walked into the living room to see her two sons Bryan who's Aryana's twin, is busy playing a video game as Dylan who's six is sitting on the couch playing with his Captain America action figure.
"Bryan seriously, playing video games at 7 in the morning." Becca Said
"What, you were sleeping in so I got bored and decided to play a little bit of Fortnite." Bryan replied
"And what about you mister?" Becca Said, looking down at her youngest child.
"Steve Rogers just wanted to play." Dylan Said, as Becca playfully rolled her eyes.
"Okay game off now." Becca ordered
"But-" Bryan Said
"No buts, look we're running on a short schedule this morning." Becca Said
"Yeah, thanks to you." Aryana Said, as Becca glared at her.
"Watch it you, look I'm sorry I overslept but it's 7:26 now and you have to be at school by 8:30 and I have to be at work by 9, so come on let's get the day started please." Becca Said
Bryan sighed as he turned the game off, "Okay."
"Thank you, now all three of you out those Pj's and go and get dress, while I get breakfast ready, Ahora, vamos." Becca Said, clapping her hands.
"Okay." They all said
"Gracias." Becca Said
While the three of them rushed up the stairs to get ready for school, Becca speed walked into the kitchen, opening up the cabinets grabbing three bowls and a box of cereal.
Becca then poured some orange juice into three glasses, then set the table with their breakfast.
Moments later Bryan, Aryana and Dylan came back downstairs dressed for the day.
As they were eating their breakfast, she took this time to get quickly ready. She rummaged through her drawers to find anything she could possibly throw on, and landed on a grey shirt from H&M and paired that with some black leggings paired with her white converses, and quickly brushed her teeth at the same time.
As the eight o'clock hour was approaching, Becca really didn't have time to do her hair so she picked up the dry shampoo which was on her dresser and sprayed some into her hair, and brushed it back into a nice ponytail.
Becca let out a breathy sigh, "Okay."
She grabbed her duffel bag which was packed with her uniform, phone and other important things she will need throughout the day. Becca walked down the stairs, as the kids were putting on their backpacks and sneakers.
"Okay, is everyone ready?" Becca Asked
"Yes." They said
"Before we go, mouths open..wide open, " As the three of them opened their mouths, she did a quick sniff to check, "Mhm, impressed you guys didn't forget, especially you Bryan." Becca Said
"Yeah I mean have you smelled his breath early in the morning, it smells like a dead fish." Aryana Said, grimacing.
Bryan scoffed, "And have you smelled your breath in the morning, it's worst than my sweaty socks and that's saying something."
"No it doesn't." Aryana argued, in defense.
"Yeah it does, right Dylan?" Bryan Asked, as Dylan shook his head.
"I wants no part of this." Dylan Said
"All right, all right that's enough, let's go my three." Becca Said
She opened the door as they all exited the house, locking the door behind them. After about a 18 minutes drive from the house, Becca parked her car in front of the kids school.
"Now I won't be home until tomorrow, so Stacy will be here to pick you up after school." Becca Said
"Do you have another 24 hour shift again?" Dylan Asked
"Yes I do baby, but tomorrow is my day off and when you guys come home from school, I'll make it up to you I'll cook you guys anything you want." Becca Said
"Anything?" Dylan questioned, as Becca nodded.
"Mhm, yep." Becca Said, as the trio shared a look.
"Could you make grandma's delicious pasta for dinner?" Aryana Asked
"Ooh yes, please mom." Bryan begged
Becca smiled and nodded, "Yes, I'll make your Abuela's famous pasta for dinner tomorrow."
"Yes!" They cheered, high fiving each other.
"Okay, now come on, class starts soon." Becca Said
"Right, bye mom have a good day at work." Bryan Said
"Bye, Bye." Aryana Said
"Bye Mommy." Dylan Said
"Bye Bye, love you all and have a good day at school." Becca Said
Aryana opens the door as she and Dylan gets out the backseat, Bryan gets out the passenger side and close the door behind him. Becca smiled and waved, as she watched her children enter the school building.

Due to her surprise she actually arrived on time to work, Becca parked her car a few blocks down from the station. She threw her strap over her shoulder, and walked towards the station entrance, waving and saying good morning to everyone.
Making her way towards the locker room area, she happened to run into her two good friends Chim and Hen putting on their uniforms.
When Becca first joined the 118 almost two years ago, she instantly clicked with them and it didn't matter the age difference the more and more Becca showed up to work and proved herself, they gained her respect and friendship.
"Ah look who's here on time for the first time in weeks." Chim teased, as he buttoned up his shirt.
"Morning Chim, hey Hen." Becca Said, as she opened up her locker.
"Morning, hey did you get caught up already?" Hen Asked
"Mhm, I've finally caught up and watched the last three episodes of Love Island." Becca Said
"Oh Becca, don't tell me you're obsessed with those dating reality shows?" Chim Asked, rising a brow at her.
"Mm obsessed I wouldn't say, but a fan yes." Becca Said, as she put her uniform shirt on over her grey shirt.
"I don't get reality shows at times, I really question the sanity of those who sits down for hours to watch a bunch of desperate people try to get Tv time." Chim Said
Becca scoffed shaking her head, "And that's the whole point, sometimes it's just entertaining yet cringe to see people be desperate for tv time."
"Look I love my love island, and so does Karen." Hen Said
"You guys need better taste in Tv, try watching something like I don't know..uh breaking bad is good." Chim suggested
"Eh I don't know.." Hen Said
"You know, I've actually never watched Breaking Bad." Becca admitted, as a little gasp slipped from Chim's mouth.
"Oh we've got to watch it together." Chim Said, smiling as Becca shook her head.
After a few hours into the long shift and dealing with some call's here and there, It was the middle of the afternoon and everyone was now upstairs. Their captain Robert Aka Bobby Nash was busy cooking the team a delicious meal, which Becca couldn't get enough of every time.
As Becca was helping by preparing the salad, as Bobby chopped up some more veggies. Chimney was sharing to the group about his situation with his girlfriend, Tatyana.
"I know exactly what that polite, distant smile
means: she's bored. One foot out the door. This woman's so far out of my league, but she's just
once-in-a-lifetime, I can't let her go." Chim Said
"Lots of fish in the sea." Bobby encouraged
"Not with the bait he's using." Hen chimed in, as she carried the plates over to the table to set up.
"Cruel but true." Chim Said, as he ate some more pretzels.
"Besides the dating game out here in L.A is very..adventurous, I can speak from experience." Becca Said, tossing some cucumbers inside the salad.
"Oh yeah, I haven't exactly seen you out on a date recently?" Chim pointed out
"Well..I'm just enjoying my time, there's no need to rush. I'm young." Becca Said, in defense.
"Yeah you're 26, a single mom, divorced and you have all the time in the world..before you know it you'll be 30 soon." Chim teased, as Becca threw a Cherry tomato at him.
"Shut it." Becca Said, as Chim laughed.
"Hey no throwing food." Bobby Said
"Sorry Cap, anyways Chim where did you even meet her?" Becca questioned
"I met her on this new dating site just for cops and firefighters, RomancingTheUniform.com." He answered, "She's an adrenaline junkie, so foreplay is me telling her stories about running into burning buildings and jumping into icy lakes and..." Chim Said
"I'm sorry, wait." She interrupted, "Remind me, when is the last time you ran into or jumped over anything?" Hen Asked
"I embellish a little." Chim Said
"Just a little?" Becca Said, rising a brow at him.
"Okay, I embellished a lot." Chim Said
"Oh, noted." Hen Said, as she and Becca chuckled.
"I'm telling you, the uniform is a major aphrodisiac." Chim Said
"Clearly." Hen replied, taking a seat at the end of the table.
Becca walked over and placed the salad bowl down, just as she took her seat the sound of a siren is heard. She turned her head, as she sees the ladder truck being driven inside the station, the door opens and outcomes Evan Buckley, the probie.
Buck made his way up the stairs approaching the table, just as Hen was scooping up some spaghetti on her plate, Buck took it upon himself to dig his finger inside the bowl scooping some up.
"Seriously." Becca grimaced
"Hey! whoa, whoa, whoa." She snapped at him, "Wash your hands, e don't know where they've been." Hen Said
"Or who've they've been in." Becca muttered under her breath, causing Chim to snort a bit.
"What if we had a call." Bobby Said, as he placed the pan of meatballs on the table.
"I was in the neighborhood. I was just, uh, getting it washed." Buck replied
"They charge you extra for the full detail?" Chim Asked
"Oh. Yeah, yeah." Buck Said, nodding his head with a mouthful of broccoli.
"Listen, I like you." He takes the bowl of veggies from him, "You're a good firefighter. I know we got this thing, you call me "Pops," and I give you a hard time for being a dumbass kid, and we went to
a Springsteen concert together. But this is not a family, It's not a clubhouse." He deadpand, "
So I'm writing you up." Bobby Said
"Come on, Bobby. See the fire, put out the fire, the rest is blah-blah." Buck trailed on
"No. The system and the rules are not arbitrary.
First infraction. Two more, you're out, now wash your hands." Bobby Said, as he took a seat at the head of the table.
Buck sighed and went towards the counter to wash his hands.
"You know, you're not helping him by going easy on him." Chim chimed in
"Yeah I mean who touches food before washing their hands, if my abuelita would have seen that she would slapped Buck so fast with a chancla he wouldn't see it coming." Becca Said, taking a bite from her bread.
"Look he just needs a little direction." Bobby Said
"I'll remind you of that after he gets you killed." Chim Said, as Hen and Becca shake their heads at him.
"Anyone want to pass me a spoon, so I can serve myself some salad?" Bobby Asked
Chim slid the salad bowl over towards Bobby, before he could enjoy his meal the fire siren goes off causing everyone to groan.
Bobby and Hen makes their way down the stairs, as Chim and Becca quickly stuff their faces before heading off towards the poles.
โฌโฌโฌโฌโฌโฌโฌโฌโฌ
As the 118 crew was driving downtown, on their way they were informed by disbatch that someone heard a baby crying in the wall. The truck and ambulance was parked out front, as they made their way inside.
"Where we heading?" Chim Asked, as he picked up his equipment.
"The fourth floor." Bobby answered, as they speed walked up the stairs.
"Oh I'll race you." Buck Said
"Ah, race yourself, Rambo. I'm 50 years old, I'm taking the elevator." Bobby Said
"Who's Rambo?" Buck Asked, confused.
"Man you millennials are so uncultured." Chim Said
They all arrive to the fourth floor entering the man's apartment, Bobby tells them to wait out in the living area as he goes inside the bathroom. Minutes later, h walks out.
"I don't hear anything." Bobby Said
"Sir, are you sure you heard a baby crying?" Becca Questioned
"Look, I'm telling you, I heard a baby crying.
Someone flushed a baby down the toilet." He looks to see Hen, checking out his bong, "Oh, I'm not high."
Hen squinted her eyes, "Really?"
"Okay, I-I'm pretty high, but it's a sativa." He Said
"You know? I-It makes you happy. I-It doesn't
make you hallucinate." He explained
"It could've been a cat, right? sometimes rats get stuck in the walls." Chim Said
Bobby holds up a finger, "Shh. Did you hear that?"
The room went silent again as Chim, Hen, Becca and Buck tried to hear what their captain was hearing.
Bobby went back inside the bathroom, leaned his ear against the wall.
"Hey, do you know what, can you give me a stethoscope?" Hen digs in her bag, handing it over to him, "Okay, thanks." Bobby Said
He leaned against the wall again using the stethoscope to get a good listen, Bobby lightly tapped the wall and everyone heard the cry of the baby behind the wall.
"Oh my god, there's an actual baby in there." Becca Said, as her heart sunk.
"Give me a pen, give me a sharpie." Bobby Said
Chim tossed him a sharpie then Bobby drew an X on the wall.
"All right, We need to open up this wall." Bobby Said
"No, no. We're being punked. It's a tape recorder
or something. Right, Spicoli?" Chim Said
"Mm-mm. Maybe he's right, maybe a mother gives birth on the toilet and flushes it." Hen Said
"Okay, first of all, that's awful. Second, do you not know how a toilet pipe works? There's this piece of serpentine pipe that takes the waste from the toilet to..." Chim explained
"But Chim if this is a premature baby, its bones could bend and compress like sponges, we need to get in there now." Becca chimed in, as Bobby nodded.
"Stand back. I got this!" Buck Said, as he went to go smash the wall with his axe.
"Whoa! Hey, hey, hey!" He stops him from doing so, "Did you even stop to consider that you might hit a baby?" Bobby Said, sternly.
"Uh..I" Buck Said
"Yeah, I didn't think so. Go get the saw." Bobby ordered
"Okay. I'm, uh, I'm gonna...yeah." Buck Said, as he left the room.
"Try to find some common sense while you're down there." Becca Said, rolling her eyes at him.
Hen, Chim and Becca watched as Bobby got suited up to prepare to take down the wall. Buck soon returns and hands over the saw to his captain, Bobby uses the saw to cut open a square into the wall, he stepped back as his team quickly pulled apart the dry wall, exposing the pipe in the wall.
"Guys, that-that pipe services a quarter of the toilets
above us; that's gonna be messy, which means.." Hen Said
"Which means what?" Buck questioned
"Which means, even with the water off, if somebody flushes a toilet above us it could drown the baby." Hen Said
"Hen go around the complex, and warn everyone not to flush their toilets." Bobby Said
"Got it cap." Hen Said, then she rushed out the apartment.
Becca moved back as the men continued to pry the saw through the pipes, she couldn't help but worry about the baby. I mean she's a mother herself, and couldn't imagine doing such a horrific thing, she couldn't help but wonder about the mother as well.
"Chimney, cut right down here on the bottom." Bobby Said
Chimney did as such and used the saw to cut through the pipe, but this caused the pipe to burst squirting all the toilet water everywhere.
"Gross." Buck grimaced
Bobby successfully got the pipe off,"All right, Becca, Buck, help me out, help me out."
Bobby gently lowers the pipe down as Buck and Becca holds it for him, as he looks inside the pipe with his flashlight, seeing the baby's head.
"All right. All right, I see it. I see it." Bobby Said
"Okay, but lower it down gently." Becca ordered, as Buck did as such, as they both laid the pipe on a table.
"Okay, Chim you got to cut right here." Bobby Said
"Yeah." Chimney nodded, using the saw to cut off the top of the pipe.
"All right, it's off." Bobby Said, looking inside at the baby.
"Get the head out, Bobby, get the head out." Chimney Said
"Yeah, you got to push from below." Buck added
"Is the baby going to be all right?" The man asked, as Bobby looked up at him.
"I got it," She moved him back, "Hey, you're gonna have to stand back so they can do their job." Becca Said
"It's really a baby in there..oh my god." He Said, as he starts breathing nervously.
"Hey it's going to be okay, take deep slow breaths okay." Becca instructed, as the guy does as such.
Bobby tries to push the baby out with his hands and sighs, "Get the defibrillator."
"I'm on it." Buck Said, as he stumbled to get the cart.
"Are you nuts?" Chimney Questioned
"Just the lube, Buck." Bobby Said
Buck opened the cart, handing over the lube to Bobby who squirts some inside the pipe. Hen arrived and stumbled upon the scene.
"All right, work that in there, work that in there." Bobby Said, as they push the lube further inside.
"Wow, wow. Wow." Hen Said
"This is gonna be a scoop and run. Hen, get the ambulance ready." Bobby Said, as Hen left the apartment again.
"I'm ready here." Chim Said
"Okay, ready? Come on." Bobby Said
Bobby pushed the baby's feet back inside the pipe, which made her slide out the pipe further more.
"It's moving." Chimney Said
"It's coming, It's coming." Bobby Said
The baby's head slides out and Becca looks at the young infant sadly.
"Oh, my God." Chimney Said
"Stay on the shoulders Chim." Bobby Directed
"I got it. I got it." The baby's body fully slides out the pipe, "I got it." Chimney Said
"Okay, pull her out, pull her out. Pull her out." Bobby Said
Chimney wraps the unconscious baby girl up in a blanket, Bobby checks her pulse and sighs.
"All right, she's not breathing. Starting CPR." Bobby Said
Becca watched on nervously as her captain continuously did chest compressions, there still was no sign of breathing coming from the young infant.
"Come on baby girl." Becca muttered
"Come on. Come on." He tried once more, "Maybe her airway's blocked." Bobby Said
"Yeah. -I-I'll get the, uh..." Buck Said
"Yep. Get the pump." Bobby Said, as Buck rummaged through the bag.
"Buck, come on!" Chimney Said
"I'm coming! I'm...got it." Buck Said, as he takes out the nasal aspirator, but it doesn't work.
"Yeah, she's not breathing. Bobby, it's-it's not working." Chimney Said
Bobby tries once again at doing cpr, a thought comes to Becca's mind and she pushes the three men out the way.
"Becca what are you doing?" Buck questioned
Becca ignores him and quickly puts on a glove, then her finger to scoop out the debris from the toilet out the mouth of the baby.
"There we go, there we go." Chimney Said, as a sigh of relief leaves Becca once she hears the baby cooing.
"Nice call Becca." Bobby Said
"Thanks Cap." Becca nodded
"The debris from the toilet, how did you figure that out?" Buck Asked, as Becca smirked at him.
"Because I'm smart Buck." Becca Said, as Buck smiled impressed.
"All right. Okay, wrap her up." Bobby Said
Buck frantically wrapped the baby girl up very gently, then handed her over to Bobby.
"Let's go, down to the lobby. Here we go." Bobby Said, as they all rushed out the apartment.
They made it down the hall, Chimney pressed the button for the elevator but they don't have that much time.
"Damn it, what's taking so long." Bobby Said
"Yo, give her to me." Bobby looked to him, "Yo, come on, I'm twice as fast, come on." Buck pleaded, Bobby caved and handed over the baby.
"All right, you go." Bobby Said
"Buck please be careful with her." Becca Said, as Buck nodded.
"Okay, I will." He then jogged down the stairs, "I got you. I got you. You're gonna be okay, you're gonna be great." Buck reassured, to the baby.
Minutes later Buck exited the building with the baby still in his arms, he rushes over to Hen who's waiting by the ambulance.
"Careful Buck." Hen Said
"Come on get ready, get ready!" Buck Said, as he entered the back of the ambulance.
"Let's go, let's go!" Hen Said, as she went to go close the truck.
"Make way." Athena yelled, "Hold up! Hold up! I got another one coming."
Athena led the young mother Marika who was being carried out by her father, to the ambulance truck.
"Yo, is that the mother? No. Screw her! Look what she did!" Buck Yelled
"She's bleeding out, she's a child!" Athena Cried out
Soon Bobby, Becca and Chimney arrived back out front.
"What's going on?" Bobby Asked
"He is refusing to take her." Athena replied
"Okay, all right, all right, come on." Bobby Said
He and Chimney takes Marika, and puts her on the stretcher inside the ambulance.
"Come on, guys. Hurry up, Becca ride with the father to the hospital in the engine, stay behind us." Bobby Said
"Mhm, come on sir." Becca Said, as she lead Marika's father towards the fire engine.
"Hurry up!" Bobby Said, hanging on the ambulance truck.
"Yo, if this baby dies, it's on you." Buck Said, as Athena angrily glared at him.
On their way to the hospital, Bobby and Chimney worked on the mother and baby luckily they were okay for now.
Soon the 118 ambulance truck arrives as well as the fire engine, Becca gets out and helps Marika's father out. The nurses all met them outside, ready with a gurney, and small crib for the baby.
"They're gonna take care of you now, okay. You're gonna be okay now, aren't you?" Buck Said
"Get the baby to the NICU." One of the doctors ordered, as the nurses rolled the baby inside.
"Get the mother hooked up in room four."
"All right, I'm gonna see you in there, come on, Bobby." Buck Said
"Hey, hey, hold on. Where you going?" Bobby Asked
"That baby is alive because of us. Don't-don't we have some kind of obligation?" Buck Asked, impatient.
"I'll give them a call; we'll be lucky if they tell us if she's okay. There's nothing more we can do." He explained, "Look we did our jobs very well today, so far. Just be proud of that, now it's their turn." Bobby Said
Becca turned as she heard the sound of police sirens, the car parked and out came Sergeant Athena Grant.
Who Becca thought from first impression of meeting her, she thought that woman was a bad ass, the more she got to know her. But she saw that pissed off look in her eyes, and made a b-line for Buck.
"Hey! You do not get to choose who lives and who dies." Athena scolded
"Really 'cause I was under the impression that kind of was my job." Buck retorted, slyly.
"That mother was no less of a child than her baby,
you're gonna get someone killed." Athena Said
"Well, maybe, but not today." Buck retorted
"Yeah, you keep making jokes. I promise you,
the next time you screw up, it'll be your last." Athena said, then walked towards her car.
Buck scoffed smirking and looked to Bobby, Hen and Becca who shook their heads at him.
"What?" Buck Said
"Just get in the truck Buckley." Becca sighed, rolling her eyes at him.
After a grueling and long 24 shift, it came time for a well deserved day off. Becca made her way home and thanked her baby sitter for looking after the kids.
She made her way upstairs to her bedroom and collapsed on the bed drifting off into a slumber, which lasted for about 3 hours.
โฌโฌโฌโฌโฌโฌโฌโฌโฌ
After spending her entire day off cleaning the house, grocery shopping, and making Bryan, Aryana and Dylan their requested dinner meal.
The next day Becca went back to work for another 24 shift, in came another call. They arrived at the person's house after Bobby bursting through the door.
"L.A. fire! all right, guys, check all these rooms." Bobby Said
They all walked down the hall peaking into any room, hoping to find someone. Bobby walked further down the hallway, entering an open room with snakes.
"Wow." Bobby Said
"Oh, my god. Bobby, I can't do snakes, they scare the crap out of me. That scene from Conan the Barbarian with the giant snake, it traumatized me for life..I-I-I can't." Chimney trailed on
"Who's Conan?" Buck Asked
"Conan the Barbarian, Arnold Schwarzenegger. 1982. Geez." Chimney explained
"Dude, as far as I'm concerned, the world began
the day I was born." Buck Said, as he looked at a cage where there's a snake.
"And look at us now, aren't we so lucky.." Becca Said, sarcastically as Buck gave her a look.
"Guys, in here. Back here, guys, now." Bobby Said
They all followed behind Bobby who led them to a back room, to where there's a python wrapped around a woman.
"Oh, my god." Becca and Hen Said, simultaneously.
Bobby kneeled down and tried to pull the snake off, as the woman struggled to gasp for air.
"We got to help her get some air, guys." Bobby Said
"Oh, my...oh, my god. Oh, I...this is not good." Chimney rambled, frightened.
"Chim don't freak out." Becca Said
"It's kinda hard not to when there's a ten foot long song, crushing a human in front of us Becca." Chimney rambled on again
Becca and Bobby tried again to pull the large reptile off, but it's no use to how strong the hold is.
"Bobby, it's no use. That thing is, like, ten feet long.
Its constriction strength is, like, 50 pounds per square inch." Hen explained
"Oh, my god, I'm gonna start calling you "Snake-ipedia." Stop it." Chimney Exclaimed
"All I'm saying is that you'd stand a better chance
of tearing down a cement wall with your bare hands." Hen Said
"Why don't I just punch it in its face?" Buck suggested
"You can't punch it in the face, Buck. It's a snake." Bobby Said
"Yeah It's not some guy at an El Torito happy hour." Becca retorted
"Look, I have Dilaudid, we can inject the snake. It'll pass right out." Hen Said, as she looked through her medical bag.
"How much time is that gonna take?" Bobby Asked
"Minutes, give or take." Hen replied
"Well minutes we don't have, I think we're gonna
have to put it down." Bobby Said
"Kill it." Chimney Said, still frightened.
"No!. No, um, no." Hen Said
"Kill it, Just kill it." Chimney begged
"There's gotta be something else we can do, without killing it." Becca retorted
"It's a snake, It's doing what nature intended for it to do. Nobody told this fool to bring a snake into her house!" Hen Said
"Yeah, well, I'll make a donation to PETA for you." Bobby Said
Becca's arms start to get tired as her hold on the reptile gets looser, the woman's face turns red.
"Cap, It's getting really tight." Becca Said
"Okay, stand back we don't have time for this!" Buck Said
"Buck! No!" Hen Said, as Buck swung the axe at the python severing it's head.
The strong grip on the woman from the python is gone, Becca wipes some of the blood from the snake off her face.
"Wow. Why is that always the first option for you white boy, macho tough guys?" Hen questioned
"Sometimes it's better to think with brawn than brains." Buck smirked at Becca.
"You know what Buck, since you killed it, you take it off her." Becca Said, as she wiped the snake blood on Buck's shirt.
"Guys, I am totally gonna take credit for this with Tatiana. It's gonna get me laid for a week. Thank you." Chimney Said
"Oh, Spartacus." The red head said, looking sadly at her dead pet.
"Yeah, well, it was him or you, and, uh, when faced
with a situation like that, I always choose to save
the more attractive one." Buck Said, smirking at the red head.
"Is that right?" She Said, in a flirtatious manor.
"Oh, yeah, that's right." Buck replied
Becca rolled her eyes at the two, "Are they serious right now?"
"Okay, hard pass. I'm gonna skip the part where the two idiots flirt." Hen Said, as she picked up her medical bag.
"Yeah count me out too." Becca Said, following behind Hen and Chim.
"And you can expect a visit from animal control." Bobby Said, as he left the two in the room.
โฌโฌโฌโฌโฌโฌโฌโฌโฌ
After the drive back to the station, Buck snuck off again with the ladder truck which didn't surprise anyone. But this time was the last straw for Bobby, he couldn't give him any more chances and he fired Buck.
As everyone was upstairs eating some lunch, Becca went near the locker room area where she found Buck cleaning out his locker.
"Hey." Becca Said, as she sat down on the bench across from him.
"I guess you heard?" Buck Said
"Yeah." She sighed, "For what it's worth, everyone thinks it sucks." Becca Said, which caused Buck to raise a brow.
"Even you, I figured you be celebrating, since you don't like me." Buck Said, as Becca half smiled.
"If I was celebrating then I wouldn't be talking to you Buck." Becca Said
"Hm, but It's my own fault." Buck sighed
"Yeah. Everyone thinks that, too. I'll be honest.
When Bobby first brought you on board, we told him he should just get a Dalmatian instead." Buck chuckled, "But I'm legit sorry to see you go Evan, I'll be honest you've got some good skills, and a good heart." Becca Said
"Why do I feel that there's a "but" coming." Buck Said
"But..you're just disciplined enough." Becca Said, as Buck nodded his head
"Look, hey, um, I don't suppose you could maybe
talk to him for me?" Buck Asked
Before Becca could respond she was interrupted by the fire siren, everyone got up and got ready, Hen and Chim walked past the locker room.
"Ladder, medic. 10-36 auto emergency."
"Becca come on, Hey, tough break, kid." Chimney Said
"Sorry Buck." Hen Said
"Ladder, medic.10-36 auto emergency."
"Good luck with everything okay." Becca Said, as she patted Buck's shoulder before leaving the locker room.
About an hour later the team returned back to the station after finishing an emergency, but while they were out Sergeant Athena needed help, and luckily for her Buck was the only one who was available to help.
Becca was busy putting back all the equipment back on the ladder truck, she turned when she heard the sound of the fire engine. Bobby and Hen awaited
as Buck drove it into the station, he parks the truck and gets out to face Bobby.
"I know what this looks like." Buck started
"Looks like you took the engine out in your street clothes." Bobby Said
"I didn't really have time to change." Buck replied
"Athena Grant called me, she wanted to tell me
what an asset you are. Told her she was half right." Bobby Said
"Are you giving me another chance?" Buck questioned
"You used all your chances, and so have I. But somehow I failed to communicate to you how lucky we are, to get to do what we do." Bobby Said, as he turned to leave.
Buck shook his head, "You're wrong, Bobby. I absolutely do get what a privilege it is to serve here.
And you know what?, you were right to fire me, I was a punk." He admitted, "Uh, I still am one. But I'm a punk who understands what he lost, just needed you to know that."
"I hope you mean that, go get dressed." Bobby ordered, then walked upstairs.
Buck look's surprised and smirks at Hen and Becca who's behind him, "I think I'm not fired."
"Your shift's not over yet." Hen Said, then walked off smiling.
"You heard Cap," She throws a rag at him, "Go get changed Evan." Becca Said, then turned to leave.
"Will do..Rebecca." Buck Said
Becca stopped in her tracks, she turned back to Buck who had a flirtatious smile on his face. She shook her head and continued walking, Buck leaned against the truck with a sigh of relief of getting his job back.
Soon the siren rang again, signaling another emergency they had to deal with. Buck now changed in his uniform, opens the door of the engine and lets Becca go first, then he gets in after and the engine soon leaves the station.
