Season Two : Episode Ten, Merry Ex-Mas.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

December, 2018

It's beginning to look alike like Christmas now that it's over six days away. And with the holiday season people find various way to get into the spirit, such as spreading joy or giving back to the community, or having mini competitions with their neighbors.

A call came in as dispatch reported in about a man who fell off his roof, Becca who's been working hard all day with the boys, lately she's been picking up shifts to gain some more money so she could buy some more gifts for her family.

"You've been swiping on your phone for like five minutes Becks, what's up?" Chimney Asked

"What's up is that I can't seem to find a good Christmas gift for my mother." Becca Said

"Wait your still shopping for gifts this close to Christmas?" Eddie Chimed in

"Relax it's only six days left till Christmas plus this month has been hectic alright, I'm trying to find everyone I promised a gift this year a great gift." Becca Said

"Oh by the way I'd like my gift wrapped with a nice big beautiful red bow." Buck Said, with a smirk as Becca playfully rolled her eyes.

"Who are you shopping for?" Bobby Asked

"My mother she's always been very hard to shop for, I really don't know what to give her." Becca Said

"You want some suggestions?" Eddie Said

"Yes, please I'll take any suggestion that I can afford." Becca Said

"How about a book from her favorite author, that's a sweet and thoughtful gift." Bobby Suggested

"Hmm that is something I wasn't thinking." Becca Replied

"And very typical Becca why not buy her a new bag, you know there's mom's who's had the same bag for years. What women doesn't love a new bag." Chimney Said

"Ooh or jewelry you know like a new bracelet or new earrings." Buck Piped up

"Guys Christmas is more than jewelry and bags, and I know Joyce Martinez and I know that she loves to cook so Becca I'd buy her those brand new Air Fryers." Eddie Said, as Becca nodded slowly.

"So who's suggestion are you going to take into consideration Becca?" Bobby Asked

"Well even though those were some really good gift suggestions, but I think..I might go with Eddie's idea." Becca Said, as Eddie half smiled.

"Oh come on." Buck Said

"Your going to choose a kitchen gadget over our thoughtful ideas." Chimney Said

"Eddie's right she does love to cook Chim." Becca Said

"Plus its an all in one air fryer you can air fry, roast, broil, bake, reheat or dehydrate..it's definitely worth your buck." Eddie Said

"All right guys were here." Bobby Said

The fire engine arrived at the scene as Bobby, Buck, Eddie, Chimney, and Becca all exited as they were greeted by the victims wife.

"It's this way." She Said, leading them to the area.

There the man who fell off the roof laid, he was groaning out in pain laying on top of inflatable Santa Claus.

Bobby kneeled down near him, "Sir, can you move at all?"

"It hurts." He Said

"Okay. Probably a good sign. Just stay still. Can you
tell me how this happened?" Bobby Asked

"The Snowman pushed me off the roof." He Replied

"May I ask what we're you doing on the roof, considering how dangerous that was?" Becca Asked

"I wanted to prove that our house looks just as better than my neighbors, but I guess my snowman didn't much care for that." He Said

"Yeah we can see that." Becca Said

Chimney and Eddie who we're checking his blood pressure and putting a neck brace around to stable him.

"Blood pressure's 120/70. Respiration's good." Chimney Informed

"All right." Bobby Said

"Can we move him over a little bit?" He and Chimney tilted him over and checked his spine,
"Doesn't appear to be any spinal damage." Eddie Said

"All right, let's get him on a backboard." Bobby Said

Becca kneeled down as she laid the backboard on the ground, as the boys helped him onto the backboard then noticed a broken figure nearby.

"Oh, looks like the baby Jesus broke your fall." Chimney Said

"That's a Christmas miracle." Buck Smiled, as he playfully patted Chim on the chest.

"You guys ready?" Eddie Asked as he already had the husband on the backboard ready to go.

"Yeah." They all said, as they lifted him onto the gurney.

As they were wheeling him out the yard the people next door and the crowd all gathered around to watch him leave.

"Oh, look, John, you finally got your wish, everyone's taking pictures." She Said

"Ready to go." Bobby Said

"This is the best Christmas ever." He Smiled, as Eddie and Chimney wheeled him onto the ambulance truck.

The next day Becca and Violet agreed to meet up at the mall, Violet needed some company as she bought some last minute gifts for her family as well.

Once they were done the two of them were finished shopping, they stopped over at the food court to get some burgers. Becca took a big bite out of burger and slightly moaned a bit, which made Violet raise a brow.

"Mm this burger is amazing." Becca Said

"Geez if you love that burger so much get a room." Violet Joked, then took a bite from her burger.

"Don't tempt me I would it'll be thing I've had in weeks." She and Violet chuckled, "I'm just kidding, so are you sure you've gotten everyone a gift?" Becca Said

"Uh yeah I think I've gotten everyone a gift." Violet Said

"Actually you're missing someone..starts with a D and ends with an AD." Becca Said

"Oh I sent him something it's on the way to his house in Miami." Violet Said

"What did you get your dad this year?" Becca Asked

"The same thing I've always gotten him a nice Christmas card." Violet Replied, taking a sip from her drink.

Becca tilted her head, "Vi come on."

"What that's what I always send and he sends me a nice thank you text, I don't see the problem." Violet Said

"Do you and your dad still only talk through the phone?" Becca Questioned

"Mhm have been for four years now and I don't see us stopping anytime soon." Violet Said

"Violet it's been years now don't you want to make it work with your dad." Becca Wondered

"Honestly apart of me still does but I just don't know if he truly does. You know how I hurt I was when he told me he was disappointed in me when I came out to my family seven years ago." Violet Said

"I know and I understand how hurting that was, but look your mom, Augustine, Levi and your Nani and a few others have come around and accepted you. I'm thinking maybe your dad's probably changed his opinion..it has been seven years." Becca Said

"I don't know Becca." Violet Said

"Okay, okay how about you start off small hmm try sending one gift to your dad. That's a slow start to mending you guy's relationship." Becca Suggested

Violet tapped her finger on the table repeatedly, as Becca gave her a pleading look. She playfully rolled her eyes and shook her head.

"Fine," Violet huffed, "I'll consider sending my dad one Christmas gift this year."

"Glad your considering it." Becca Said

As the two went back to eating their food Violet looked over Becca's shoulder, as someone familiar caught her attention.

"Becca look." Violet Nodded, as Becca followed her gaze which landed on Shannon who was seen standing on a line for Starbucks.

"Shannon?" Becca Said

Shannon heard her name then noticed Becca and Violet waving over at her, she smiled at them and approached their table then was greeted with hugs from both of them.

"Becca, Violet hey guys." Shannon Said

"Hey, why don't you look great." Becca Complimented

"Thanks and look at you guys how is it possible you guys have gotten way more beautiful." Shannon Said

"Well it definitely took a lot of work for the upkeep," She joked, "So how's everything going with you and Eddie?" Violet Said

"Actually pretty well it's been okay Eddie and I, we're in a okay place than we were." Shannon Nodded

"Glad to hear that...so how's things going with Christopher?" Becca Asked

Shannon's smile faded a bit, "Well I haven't really been able to speak with Chris yet."

"Huh?" Becca Said

"Wait you and Eddie have been talking for like two months now, what's stopping the inevitable?" Violet Questioned

"Well every time we try to talk eventually bring up the idea of me reuniting with Chris..we..you know." Shannon Said, giving them a knowing look.

"Oh.." Becca and Violet Said, in unison.

"We see you two have been rekindling alright." Violet Said, with a smirk.

"Yes, but I'm glad Eddie and I are in a okay place..I just really want to hug and be with Chris as well." Shannon Said

"You want my advice." Becca Said

"Yes please, how do I get my point across?" Shannon Asked

"You've got to speak with Eddie at a time when he has no choice but to listen." Becca Said

"How about tomorrow? The LAFD is throwing its annual toy drive, I know it seems like an inappropriate time and he'll be busy at work but that's a good time to try and chat with him." Violet Suggested

"Yeah..I'll think about it..hopefully we'll have the chance to actually talk without interruptions." Shannon Said

"Don't worry about it you'll have his full undivided attention, and don't forget to bring a gift." Violet Said, winking at her.

"Thanks again guys it was nice seeing you guys, I don't remember the last time we all truly hung out." Shannon Said

"It's been way to long, how if you're not busy would you like to join us?" Becca Asked

"Sure, I'd love too let me grab a coffee and I'll join you guys." Shannon Said

"No problem go ahead." Violet Said

Shannon smiled then walked back over to the coffee line, as Violet and Becca sat back down at their table.

"So Eddie is definitely going to be taken aback tomorrow." Violet Said

"Oh yeah." Becca Said

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Today was the annual LAFD Toy Drive which Becca always loved attending especially with her kids. The feeling of giving back and donating to those around the holiday season always put a smile on her face.

Over by the treats Becca noticed Bryan and Dylan stuffing their faces with gingerbread cookies, she walked over to them shaking her head.

"Boys, relax what did I always say chew slowly you could choke." Becca Reminded

"Sorry mom it's just these taste so good." Bryan Said

"Yeah I've had like three already." Dylan Said

"Okay I think that's enough treats for now," She takes the gingerbread from him, "Remember there's other people here who'd like some as well, now I'd hurry up and play your dad will be here soon in 15 minutes to pick you guys up." Becca Said

"Bryan, Dylan come on up you're missing out." Aryana Said, from on top of the ladder truck.

"Race you to the ladder truck Bry!" Dylan Said, as he ran off.

"Wait up for me!" Bryan Said, as he followed behind him.

Meanwhile over by the other treat station where Chimney and Violet are, Becca and Buck walked over to them.

"Hey." Becca Said

"Hey, how's the munch bros?" Violet Asked

"I'm telling you if they eat more treats they're going to have a sugar rush." Becca Said

"True but it's Justin's weekend so he'll have to deal with them and their sugar high." Violet Said

"Oh right." Becca Said, as they both laughed.

Eddie comes back out to the front to accept another gift for the toy drive, only to see Shannon standing there with a gift.

"Thank you..Shannon. What are you doing here?" Eddie Asked

Becca and Violet see's Shannon and both tried their best to play it off as if they're not listening in.

"You won't answer my texts or return my calls." Shannon Said

"This is not the place." Eddie Affirmed

"Maybe it's the perfect place we can actually have
a conversation that doesn't end up with us in bed." Shannon Said

After hearing that Buck, Becca, Violet and Chimney's attention is now on Shannon and Eddie, noticing that they heard what she said he sighs in embarrassment.

"Follow me." Eddie Said, as he and Shannon walked off.

"Wait was that Eddie's wife?" Chimney Asked

"Uh huh." Violet Said

"Oh..should we uh-" Buck Said

"We are going to mind our business and do our jobs." Becca Said, turning Chimney and Buck around.

Eddie leads Shannon into the locker room changing area, he closes the door behind them as Shannon stands there with her arms closed.

"I can't do this here, not now." Eddie Said

"Then where and when? It's been almost two months, and right now, I feel even further away
from him and from you than I ever did when we weren't speaking." Shannon Said

"Shannon I can't-" Eddie Said

"Eddie I need you to be honest with me are you ever gonna let me see Christopher?" Shannon Asked

"Of course..eventually." Eddie Said

Shannon's forehead creased, "Does he know that I'm here?"

"I didn't want to confuse him. Not until I was sure." Eddie Admitted

"Of me? Because you seemed pretty sure when we started having sex again." Shannon Said

"Is that how you see this? Some transaction? What, you sleep with me so I let you see Christopher?" Eddie Questioned

"I thought it was a reconciliation. Right up until the moment when...you hid me from our son." Shannon Said

"I didn't know what else to do!" He yelled then sighed, "I didn't know what else to do. And I'm
not keeping you from our son like some kind of punishment." Eddie Said

"Whatever I need to do to prove myself and to fix things, name it. I am there. But you and me and hiding it from him? That is starting to make everything feel...more broken." Shannon Said

"You keep looking to me like I have the answers. I don't." Eddie Said

"No. Just the power." She Replied, "I'm the one who screwed up, the one who left. I know I don't get to have a say. So I'm following your lead. But...where are we going? When will you be able to forgive me?" Shannon Said

"..I can forgive you. I'm just not sure I can trust you." Eddie Said, then left the locker room as Shannon rubbed her forehead.

A few minutes later Justin arrived after getting off from work, he's seen waiting near his car as Becca and the kids walked over.

"Hey, dad." They all said, running over to hug him.

"There's my three musketeers, so how was the toy drive?" Justin Asked

"It was really fun." Aryana Said

"There was a bigger bouncy house this year, and we a had a really cool magic show." Bryan Said

"I pulled a bunny out from the magician's hat." Dylan Smiled

"That's really cool bud." Justin Said, giving them all high fives.

"And we also got some really cool gifts donated this year." Becca Said

"Oh yeah, we saw this guy donate really cool lego Batman set. Whoever gets that this year is super lucky." Bryan Said

"I'm sure they will so are you guys ready to head out, let's start this Christmas break off with a relaxing Friday." Justin Said

"Yeah good luck with that," She chuckled, "Okay, I'll see you guys Monday on Christmas Eve enjoy your weekend." Becca Said

Bryan, Aryana and Dylan all hugged their mom as she kissed each of their cheeks then they got into the backseat of Justin's car.

"Okay, I'll talk to you later Justin." Becca Said

"Bec-Becca hold on," Justin tugged on her arm, "Monday what happened to Sunday?"

"Right so I have to pull a 24 hour shift on Sunday, which means I won't get off until Christmas Eve which is that Monday." Becca Said

"What about Christmas will you have to work overtime or something?" Justin Asked

"No, I won't be working on Christmas this year. I promised the kids that we both would be there with them when they wake up on Christmas, they deserve it after all these years." Becca Said, as Justin smiled a little.

"Okay, so I'll see you Monday night then." Justin Said

"Yes you will oh and don't forget to bake the cookies with Aryana, she's been wanting to do that with you." Becca Said

"Noted, goodnight Becks." Justin Said, as he walked back to his car.

"Night." Becca Said

Justin got in and started the car as the kids all waved goodbye to their mother, she blew them all a kiss and watched as they left.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Once the toy drive was over and everyone finished cleaning up the fire house, Chimney was planning on buying a tree with the company of Buck and Becca.

The three friends were walking down another aisle of trees, while Buck rambled on about the situation between Eddie and Shannon.

"Eddie's sleeping with her, but he's lying about it.
It's like he's having an affair with his own wife." Buck Piped up

"Now I wouldn't go that far Buck." Becca Said

"Come on guys you don't think that's weird?" Buck Asked

"I think it's none of our business, now can we please focus on the trees? Now, exactly how pissed off is Maddie? Should I be shopping for a six-foot apology, or a 12?" Chimney Said

"Uh, pissed off at you for what exactly?" Buck Asked

"For kicking you off of my couch and onto hers." Chimney Said

"It's an air mattress, and she is fine." Buck Pointed out

Becca Scoffed, "If anything, I should be the one holding a grudge, which I will if you don't hurry up and pick a damn tree already." Becca Said

"Wait. Are you seriously googling Christmas trees?" Buck Questioned, as Chimney puts away his phone.

"I want to buy Maddie a gift, and I want it to be perfect." Chimney Said

"I'm gonna go find someone to help us, so you stop overthinking and just pick one." Buck Said, then walked off.

Chimney sighed, "There's too many trees here."

"Don't worry Chim we're going to find Maddie a tree," She puts her arm around his shoulder, "We just have to keep looking that's all." Becca Said

"We've been looking around for ten minutes, why the hell haven't we found one yet." Chimney Said

"Because you're thinking to much about this, and I get it..you want Maddie to really like it because you really like her." Becca Said

"Wha-I don't have a crush on Maddie, we're just good friends that's all." Chimney Said

"Yeah and I buy Christmas trees for my "good friends"," She puts her hands on his shoulders,
"Chin you like Maddie and that's completely okay, what you're doing for her is really sweet." Becca Said

"Really? You don't think it makes me come off as to corny or cheesy?" Chimney Asked

"No, it makes you come off as very sweet," Her phone starts ringing, "It's Bryan I've gotta go take this, I'll be right back okay." Becca Said

"Yeah, sure go ahead I'll be right here." Chimney Said

"Okay." Becca Said, as she walked off to answer the call.

Chimney looked around the area at each tree, he sighed and looked up at the sky.

"I need your help here, Big Man." Chimney Said

Suddenly it started to snow he furrowed his brows, and noticed that it was fake snow coming out a machine.

"Real cute." Chimney Said, he shook his head.

"Big Man like God? Or Big Man in the Red Suit?" A man spoke up

Chimney turned around to see a tall man, with green eyes and brown hair smiling at him.

"Blue suit, actually." He corrected, "Santa Haraboji. It's a Korean thing though I haven't really given him a shout-out since I was nine, but I had no idea there were so many different varieties of Christmas trees." Chimney Said

"So it's an important purchase?" He Asked

"It's for a friend actually, but she really loves Christmas, and I want to surprise her." Chimney Said

"A gift for the girlfriend. Nice." He Nodded

"No, it's not like that. Uh, she had a rough year.
A Couple of rough years, I guess. This is our first Christmas together...as friends, and I really,
really want it to be special." Chimney Said

"I understand." He Said, as Becca was seen walking back over.

"Sorry Chim, Bryan needed the password for my Netflix account—oh who's this?" Becca Said

"Just a guy who's here to help your friend," He looked over at a tree nearby, "I'd go with the
noble fir..It's a classic for a reason."

"All right. Thank you for your guidance." Chimney Said

"Jason. Jason Bailey, nice to meet you.." He Said

"I'm Chimney, and this is my friend Becca." He Introduced

"Hi, nice to meet you." Becca Said, as she shook the man's hand as he sent her a smile.

"Likewise, but yeah go with that I'm sure she'll love it." Jason Said

Chimney and Becca nodded then looked over at the Tree and nodded in agreement.

"All right. Noble fir it is, Jason Bailey." Chimney Said, they both turned back around to see that Jason was gone.

Becca raised a brow, "That's weird where'd he go that fast?"

"Hm, thanks for the tree I guess." Chimney Said, as Buck approached them.

"So do we have a tree or what?" Buck Asked, as Chim smiled.

"Looks like we have a tree Buckaroo." Chimney Said

"Alright, now let's get out of here." Buck Said

"Yeah, Buck you handle the tree and and Chim and I will see you up front." Becca Said

"Wait what?" Buck Said

"She's right Buck you've got this, bud." Chimney Said

Becca playfully patted his chest with a smile as she and Chim walked ahead of him, he rolled his eyes then picked up the tree following behind them.

Once they were done buying the tree and ornaments, the trio made their way over to Maddie's apartment.
Buck used his spare key to open the door to enter, so he, Becca and Chimney could carry the tree out.

"Maddie, we're here." Becca Said

"Ho, ho, ho!" Buck Said, cheerfully.

"Surprise!" Chimney Said

"Oh Wow. A Christmas tree." Maddie Said, as she walked slowly down the stairs.

"Yeah. Buck said you didn't have one yet uh, is this okay? Is this the wrong kind of surprise?" Chimney Said

"No, no, no. No. It's so sweet. Really, I-I love that you did this." Maddie Said, looking up at the tree.

"You just didn't want it. That's okay." Chimney Assured

"Yeah I mean, we shouldn't have assumed." Becca Said

"No it's just I really wasn't gonna do much Christmas this year, 'cause all of my decorations and stuff are back in Pennsylvania." Maddie Said

"And that is why we bought everything you need," He entered carrying bags of ornaments, "We have lights, we have ornaments. We even have...an angel high for on top of the tree." Buck Said, taking the Angel out the bag.

"No. Angels are creepy." Maddie Said, snatching the Angel out his hands throwing it back inside the bag.

"Whoa." Buck Said

"You know what, I think we might have overstepped. Maddie should be able to pick out her own decorations." Becca Said

"Becca's right Maddie we'll just, we'll just, we'll just bring this back to the store." Chimney Said

"What are you talking about? You can't return a tree.
Hey, come on. You always loved Christmas, right?
Ornaments, stockings, cookies you made your own bows." Buck Said

"Yeah. I'm not really feeling the holiday this year, okay?" Maddie Replied

"Well, no. No, it's not okay. Come on, what's going on with you?" Buck Asked

"I don't want to talk about it." Maddie Snapped back at him

"Guys, it's fine. You know what? I'm just gonna... take away the evidence before, uh, this turns into a crime scene, okay." Chimney Said

"Yeah, we're just gonna..okay come on Chim." Becca Said, as she helped him carry out the tree.

"So you hate Christmas now? Something else I can
thank Doug for, huh?" Buck Remarked

"No, I don't hate Christmas, but I'm starting not
to like you very much, okay? Just let it go." Maddie Retorted, walking away from him.

"Maddie..." Buck Said

"You can't come into my house, Buck, and act this way." Maddie Said

"Come into my house"? Maddie I'm your brother." Buck Said

Chimney and Becca are now back outside as they can't hear the Buckley siblings arguing, they both smiled awkwardly at some neighbors then sat the tree down on the sidewalk outside the apartment complex.

"So, what do you wanna do with it?" Becca Asked

"Well there's no use of taking back and I don't want to waste a good tree, you've got a marker or pen and some paper?" Chimney Said

"Uh let me check," She opened up her purse and looked inside, "I've got a sharpie and an old flyer to a band." Becca Said

"That'll do." Chimney Said

He writes on the back of the red paper "Free Tree" then puts it on the tree and sighs.

"Sorry your surprise didn't work out Chim." Becca Said

"No it's okay there's always a next time, Bah, humbug." Chimney Sighed, as he and Becca walked down the sidewalk together as she comforted him.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

After a calm weekend she had to herself which she spent, gift wrapping all the kids Christmas gift's and some last minute shopping for herself.

A few hours into her 24 hour shift on Christmas Eve, Becca couldn't stop looking at the clock hoping that the time would pass by fast. Upstairs in the lounge area Becca was seen sitting on the couch scrolling on her phone, while Buck who's in the kitchen pouring some hot chocolate into two mugs then pours some whipped cream into one of them.

"And voila," He picks up the mugs, "Hey, Becca you thirsty?" Buck Asked

"Uh, yeah why?" Becca Said, as he sat down next to her.

"Well I remembered yesterday how you badly you wanted some hot chocolate, and since we ran out due to the toy drive. So I bought some this morning
and made this just for you." Buck Said, handing her over a mug.

Becca smiled at the sweet gesture from him then accepted the mug, "Aw thank you so much but you didn't have to do that for me, I could have bought
my own."

"I know I didn't have to but I wanted to, and what can I say I like to do things for my friends." Buck Said, simply.

"Well let's see how good of a job you did making this," She takes a big sip from the mug and nod's impressed, "Damn." Becca Said

"Taste good doesn't it." Buck Said

"Hell yeah that taste good nice job." Becca Said

"Thanks, so I just wanted to say I'm sorry about what happened the other night with Maddie and the tree." Buck Said

"No, no there's no need to apologize I get it some people aren't in the Christmas spirit this year." Becca Said

"Yeah more like she had the Christmas spirit sucked out of her." Buck Said

"I'm guessing last Christmas wasn't really all that great for her due to her ex." Becca Said

"Mhm, I'm telling you Doug was the absolute worst and don't get me wrong I'm happy my sister managed to get away from. But in a way sometimes it feels like she still lets him get in the way of her ever being truly happy again." Buck Said

"Well she was brave enough to leave the man who spent years making her miserable, she got away which is the most important part. Evan I know you care about your sister but it's just gonna take some time for her to truly feel free again." Becca Said

"I just want her to know that I'm here and I care." Buck Said, as Becca reached over and laid her hand over his.

"She knows don't worry she'll always know you're there for her. Maddie will be okay..have some faith." Becca Said, as he half smiled at her.

"Look at you who would have thought around the holidays you'd be such a softie." Buck Teased

"What can I say I love Christmas." Becca Said

The two smiled at each other then Becca realized that she was still holding Buck's hand. He realized it as well but actually didn't mind and held on a little longer, soon the fire alarm rang which broke the tension.

"Duty calls, you coming or what Buck?" Becca Said, looking over her shoulder as she got up from the couch.

"Yeah," He watched her leave and couldn't take his eyes off Becca, "I'm coming." Buck Said, then got up to leave.

Dispatch reported of a truck running a red light and crashing into a bus over near MacArthur Park. The 118 arrived at the scene with the company of the LAPD, there's many injured civilians around as half of station separates to go and help those in needed.

"I'll take the driver." Hen Said

"Hi, are you captain Nash?" The female officer asked

"Yeah, what do we got?" Bobby Asked

"So, I don't know how, but we have mostly minor injuries, some cuts and bruises, except for this guy,
and I don't know if he's gonna make it." She Said

She led them all to a marine soldier covered in blood tending to an injured man, who's bleeding severely from his neck.

"Sergeant." Eddie Greeted, kneeling down to the man.

"That truck came out of nowhere, man. A piece of glass clipped him in the neck, feels like it hit a major artery." The Sergeant Said

"Carotid. You got your finger in the hole?" Violet Asked

"That's what we're trained to do. I've seen it before, unfortunately." He Said

"Me, too. Where were you?" Eddie Asked

"Leatherneck." He Replied

"Ah. I was at Bagram." Eddie Said

"Army?" He Said

"Uh-huh." Eddie Nodded

"Nobody's perfect." He Said

"Alright let's run the fluids wide open." Violet Said

"Got it." Chimney Said

"You mind keeping your finger there for a moment?
You don't have anywhere to be, right?" Eddie Asked

"Right." He nodded, "I'm good."

"Okay." Eddie Said

"On three. One, two, three." The Sergeant removed his finger as Eddie wrapped the wound tight, "
All right, let's move him out of here, guys."

Everyone gently laid the man onto the gurney, Violet took out her flashlight to check the man's pupils.

"All right, he's stabilizing." Violet Said

"Let's move." Chimney Said, as he and Violet rolled the man towards the ambulance truck.

"Is he gonna make it?" The Sergeant Asked

Eddie stopped and looked at him, "Thanks to you, Marine. How you feeling?"

"I'm fine. Anything else I can do?" He Asked

"We're good. Thank you for your service. Literally." Bobby Said, as they all walked off.

As Bobby, Eddie and Buck were walking towards the truck a woman who Becca was aiding, tapped Bobby on the shoulder.

"Cap, she needs to ask you something." Becca Said

"Excuse me captain." She Said

"Yes ma'am, how could I help you?" Bobby Said

"That gentleman over there the marine, before the crash he was hoping to make it in time to see his daughters performance. I'm sorry to ask this but is there a way you guys could possibly help him out to see his baby girl?" She Asked

"I don't see why we can't help him since he's helped us." Buck Said

"Yeah, what do you think Cap?" Eddie Asked

Bobby looked back over at the Marine who's putting on his backpack.

"You got it. All right, we'll take him." Bobby Said

"Thank you Captain." She Smiled, as Eddie jogged over to the man.

"I hear you have a show to get to, Marine." Eddie Said

"Yeah. But I'm never gonna make it." He Said

"Oh, yes, you are. Let's go." Eddie Said

He nodded to the man to follow him which he did, everyone soon piled up onto the ladder truck. As they were on their way the marine was quickly changing into his uniform, as Violet and Becca handed him some clean wipes to get the blood off
his hands.

"Better hurry up and get dressed...we're gonna
be there before you know it." Eddie Said

"I'm gonna cry. I-I know I'm gonna cry. Those soldier reunion videos on YouTube always get me." Buck Said

"Save your tears for after the performance Buckerella." Violet Teased
