Season Two : Episode Four, Stuck.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

September 2018

The Oxford Dictionary defines "rut" as "a habit, or pattern of behavior that has become dull and unproductive but is hard to change." The word is also defined as "a long, deep track made by the repeated passage of the wheels of vehicles."
There is some comfort to be taken in the second definition, for when you find yourself stuck in a rut,
you can be sure others have been there before you.

A call came in which reported of a man being wedged between two buildings. The fire engine and ambulance truck parked down the block, and Bobby and his team all piled out making their way through the crowd.

"LAFD. Step back." Bobby ordered

"Please help me! Please help me! Someone help me, please!" The man called out

"Whoa. Whatever you do, brother, don't suck in that gut." Chimney Said

With that they all made their way upstairs, Bobby, Chim, Buck and Becca stood on the roof of the other building as Hen, Eddie and Violet all looked out the parking garage window in the other building.

"How we doing, George?" Bobby Asked

"I can't... I can't feel my legs. And I think my ankle's broken." George Replied

"Sir, you have any idea how long you've been down there?" Hen Asked

"I saw the sun come up." George Said

"Well, he's wedged in there pretty good." Violet Said

"George how's your breathing?" Becca Asked

"I can't really take a deep breath." George Said

"Hey, George, can-can you show us how high up you can reach? If we can drop you a line, we may be able to pull you up." Buck Said

George slowly started to reach his arm up, they all nodded.

"Okay. Nice and slow, George." Hen Said

"That's it." Buck Said

George moved his arm up a little further but, he started to move down some and screamed out in panic.

"Whoa, easy. George, just...keep hanging in there,
we will get you out." Bobby Said

"What are you thinking, Cap?" Chimney Asked, as they all turned to Bobby.

Luckily their captain came up with something on the spot. Bobby, Buck, Chimney and Becca all suit back up then quickly gathered some equipment as they made their way to the apartment underneath the garage. Bobby knocks on the door just as a woman opened up.

"Yes?" She Said

"Ma'am, we need to access this unit." Bobby Said, as he entered the room.

"Uh..." She Said, as Buck entered with a sledge hammer.

"Let's go, start with the drill." Bobby Said

"Uh, I'm in the middle of a private showing." She mentioned

"Not anymore hun." Becca Said, walking past her as chimney followed behind her.

"Hi." Chimney Said

Chimney turned on the power drill then handed it over to Bobby. He begins to drill a hole into the wall, then stops once he hears George shouting.

"Oh, oh, oh, no!" George Said

Back up Eddie, Hen and Violet look down then Eddie held his radio close to him.

"A little high, boss." Eddie Said

"Someone get me out of here!" George Said

"One second sorry about that. One second." Hen Said

Back in the apartment Bobby put down the drill, then motioned his hand out. "Anyone got a marker?"

"Here." Becca Said, taking a black marker out her pocket.

"Thanks." Bobby Said, taking it then begins to draw an X on the wall.

"What's the X for?" Buck Asked

"Because that's your target Buck." Bobby Said

"Happy swinging." Chimney Said

He handed the sledgehammer over to Buck, Becca stood back as the blonde began to swing at the wall repeatedly.

"Why couldn't you go through the wall of the other building?" The lady asked

"Ma'am, as I explained before, the wall in the other building is twice as thick. It would take twice as much time. And this is all gonna be taken care of." Bobby Said

Buck took one more swing at the wall only to see the other side of it.

"We good?" Bobby Asked

"Yeah. It's good to go, Cap." Buck Replied, with a small nod.

"All right Becca power up the saw." Bobby Said

The brunette nodded then picked up the tool, and began drilling a nice sized hole for George to get through as his feet are now visible.

"Clear." Becca Said, then stepped back.

"All right, George, I'm-a need you to control your breathing and take shallow breaths." Bobby instructed

"Let's get down there." Eddie Said

Violet and Hen nodded as they followed behind him, back in the apartment Bobby is still trying to calm George down.

"I think you should talk to me!" George Said, frantically.

"All right, we're almost there, George. How you holding up?" Bobby Asked

"Uh, please hurry, 'cause...I got to take a leak." George Said

"Okay, maybe hold off on that for a minute." Bobby leaned back a bit.

Soon Violet, Eddie and Hen all arrived in the apartment moving over to the hole.

"Okay, George, we're gonna start to pull you in here, but in order to do that, we're gonna have to pull on you pretty hard. So you're probably gonna feel
like you're falling, but you're not. If you start
to panic and struggle, it's gonna be hard for us to
get you in here. Do you understand?" Bobby Said

"Just don't dro...don't drop me, please. I don't want to die." George Said

"Relax, everything's gonna be okay." Bobby Said, reassuringly.

"Okay." George Said

"All right? All right, take a breath and just exhale. Ready?" Bobby Said

"Yeah." George Said

"One, two, three." Bobby Said

He and Eddie both carefully pulled George inside the apartment, laying him down on the gurney as they strapped him in.

"All right, you're safe." Eddie Said

"Oh god." George Said

"All right. Okay, you're home free, George. Watch your head. Okay." Bobby Said

"You're okay, you're okay." Hen Said, as she, Chim and Violet began checking on him.

"All right, take it easy you're okay." Violet Said

"Okay, guys, on three: one, two, three." Bobby Said, as they lifted the gurney.

"Thank you. Thank you, thank you." George Said, tearfully.

"You're gonna be just fine. You're gonna be just fine, okay." Hen Said

"Okay...who knew having a gut was gonna save my life?" George Said, with a sigh of relief as they rolled him out on the stretcher.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

After saving George the team went through a normal day, of dealing with one call after another. Soon they headed back to the fire station, while Eddie had to leave briefly to go pick up his son Christopher from school.

Upstairs Violet was sitting at a table scrolling on her phone, Becca who's eating some oranges slices looks over her best friend's shoulder and notices she's looking at someone's Instagram page.

"Who's that?" Becca Asked

"Huh? Oh no one." Violet Said, hovering over her phone.

"Come on Vi it's me who's the girl?" Becca Asked, intrigued.

Violet sighed then handed Becca the phone, Becca looked at a picture and nodded.

"Her name is Tammy Lynn." Violet Said

"Hm she's pretty nice smile, tall, blonde, green eyed Heh just your type, what is she your date?" Becca Said, with a suggestive look.

"Nope, but she seems taken," Becca forehead creased, "Look at her most recent post from three days ago." Violet Said, pointing to her phone.

Becca scrolled up some more on her page until, she landed on a picture of the girl and Violet's ex Bryce.

"Is that?" Becca Said

"Yup my good ole ex boyfriend Bryce, glad to see he's happy." Violet Said

"Wait how did you even find her Instagram?" Becca Asked

"That's not important but one of my former colleagues Benny, at the station I worked at in Chicago posted a picture on his birthday. And I commented as well, but I saw her and I've never seen her before..so I clicked her page and that's when I found out she's dating Bryce." Violet Said, then took a sip of her iced tea.

"You know what based on what I see from this picture, they could be just friends for all we know." Becca Said, as Violet rolled her eyes then shook her head.

"Please look at them they are clearly dating Becca." Violet Said

"Me and my favorite guy" Becca read aloud, looking back at the post.

"Yeah her favorite guy and he she added a heart and kiss emoji. Oh yeah they're together all right." Violet Said, taking her phone back.

"Come on Violet." Becca Said

"No, no it's okay I'm alright." She stands up and puts her phone in her back pocket, "I am A-Ok." Violet Said, then walked off.

A few minutes later the alarm rang in the station and soon they all left. A call came in at the bar Saddle Ranch, about a woman who's got her head stuck inside a tailpipe. They soon arrived and the team all piled out, as two women who's clearly intoxicated approached them.

"Grab a creeper and some blocks." Bobby Said, as Buck nodded.

"She's over here." The brunette haired woman said

Buck grabbed the equipment as Eddie followed behind him then headed inside as the two women eyed them.

"Holy crap, you guys are hot." She Said

They all entered the bar and looked around as the music was pumping loud, there was a lot of people dancing, drinking and watching a woman ride a bull.

"Okay, guys the strippers are here." The other friend said

A group of women nearby saw them and began cheering and whistling at them, as they made their way through.

"Excuse me, coming through." Buck Said

"All right, ladies, just give us some space thank you." Bobby Said

"Excuse me, clear a path. Coming through, thank you, thank you... thank you." Buck Said

As they approached the back of the bar, there was the woman who's head is stuck inside the tailpipe of someone's truck.

"Hi, what's her name?" Chimney Asked

"Betty." A guy in a pink tank spoke up, smiling at his truck.

"Jennifer." The woman spoke up

"Sorry, I thought you meant my truck." He Said

"This is your truck?" Bobby Said

"Yeah, but it's not like I backed into her. She did this
out of her own free will." He mentioned

"You dared her to." Her friend spoke up

"We were flirting." He Replied

"Your idea of flirting with a girl is daring her to stick her head in your tailpipe?" Eddie Questioned

"You know there's other safe ways of flirting." Becca Said

"Wanna try it sometime, my names Brent what's yours?" He Asked, with a smirk as she scoffed.

"Not interested." Becca Said, chuckling.

"Oh, man." Buck Said then laid down onto a creeper, and slid under the truck.

"Hi, Jennifer. LAFD. How you feeling?" Chimney Asked

"Uh, pretty good, actually. Except for this whole, you know, ginormous tailpipe on my head." Jennifer Said

Hen leaned down putting on her gloves, "Hey, Jennifer, you're gonna feel me poking around.
We're just checking you out, okay?"

"All right." Jennifer Said

"Why is this tailpipe so large?" Violet Asked

"It's custom." Brent Said

"Where'd she get these bruises on her arm?" Bobby Asked, looking at him.

"That wasn't me." Brent Replied

"It's from the bull. She rode it, like, five times." He other friend spoke up

"There's no way we're gonna get a collar on her." Chimney Said

"I got it." Hen Said, then Chim walked away for a second.

"Get me out of this thing." Jennifer Said

Buck then slid back out, "These things are meant
to increase the power to the engine."

"Yup." Brent Said

"Well the TSA 230 saw should do the job." Bobby suggested

"Oh, yeah, like a Knife through butter." Eddie Said

"Chim?" Bobby called out

Chimney arrived back this time holding up the saw,
"Excuse me. Way ahead of you, Cap."

"What?! No, I spent 1,200 bucks on that tailpipe.

"You might want to close your eyes during this part." Bobby Said

Brent sighed upset and right as Buck was putting on his gloves, one of Jennifer's friends approached him.

"Just type your number in my phone, and I'll text you so you have mine." She Said, batting her eyes at him holding her phone.

Becca and Violet looked over at them, the girls shook their heads smiling.

"Thanks, but I actually have a girlfriend, and I need to focus right now so my captain doesn't cut your friend's head off." Buck Said

The other friend approached Eddie, "Hi. Do you have Snapchat?"

"No. And, uh, I don't think I'm what you're looking for. I have...I have a son." Eddie Said

"That's great. So do I." She smiled

The brunette who was flirting with Buck looks over at Violet, and flips her hair back approaching her.

"Hey, I love your hair." She Said

"Thanks I just recently cut it." Violet Replied

"Just so you know I go both ways, and If you want I can give you my number and we can hang out sometime?" She Said, caressing Violet's arm with a flirty smile.

"Violet." Becca Said, giving her a knowing look.

"Look-" Violet Said

"Stefanie." She Said

"Stefanie..I'd love to stay and chat but I've got to work okay." Violet Said, sending her a wink.

"I think I'm gonna puke." Jennifer Said

"You better not these fire guys and girls are totally hot." Stefanie Said

"All right, what say we move the peanut gallery
a few steps over this way. Thank you everybody
back a little bit, thank you." Chimney Said, gently pushing them out of the way.

"All right, Jennifer, keep your head completely still.
You're gonna hear a lot of noise, but everything is fine." Hen Said

Bobby laid down on the creeper and slid underneath the truck, using the saw to cut through the tailpipe.

"What are you doing?!" Jennifer Asked, in a panic.

"It's All right, almost there." Bobby Said

The saw finally gets through and Hen and Eddie carefully sits Jennifer up, as part of the tailpipe is still on her head.

"Okay. Easy." Hen Said

"We need lube." Eddie Said

"I have some." One of the girls spoke up, taking it out her purse.

"Clutch." Chimney Said, tossing it over to to Buck who catches it.

Buck squirts some of the lube inside of the pipe, as Hen and Eddie carefully lift the pipe off the woman's head and the crowd starts clapping.

"Wow, you really are hot." Jennifer Said, looking at them all.

"Would you like us to transport you to the hospital,
get checked out?" Hen Asked

"She just needs another drink." Her brunette friend spoke up

"No, what she needs to do is go home. All three of you do, in a cab." Becca Retorted

Bobby kneels down to her, "Listen to me. When you sober up, you feel like you have a headache or blurry vision, or you feel confused, you got to get yourself to a hospital, you understand?"

Jennifer looks at him nodding then starts giggling

"Condolences on Betty." Hen Said, handing the guy over his tail pipe.

Brent takes the pipe and looks at it sadly, as Jennifer's friends walk over to check on her.
The four firefighters walk off, taking off their gloves.

"Those girls really like to party." Becca Said

"Yep, let's just hope that one over there won't stick her head up somewhere else." Violet Said, chuckling.

"Yeah," He looks to Eddie, "Hey, so is your son really
the reason you don't date?" Buck Said

"That, and...they weren't my type." Eddie Replied, shrugging his shoulders.

"Not mine either. Not anymore but I'm talking in general." Buck Said

"It's complicated when you have a kid." Eddie Said

"Come on, that's a weak excuse Becca has not one but three kids and that didn't stop her from dating." Buck Said

"Well it did take her a long time to eventually start dating after divorcing Justin." Violet Piped up

"Hey, it wasn't long time...only seven months." Becca Corrected

"Seven long months that felt like an eternity stated by you." Violet joked, as Becca playfully shoved her.

"Shut up." Becca Said

"It's okay Becks because at least I don't live in my invisible girlfriend's house." Eddie Remarked, looking at Buck as Becca and Violet started laughing.

"Wow okay..." Buck Said, playfully rolling his eyes.

"Oooh." Violet Said

"Shade, shade, shade." Becca Said

"And you're telling me about weak excuses." Eddie Said

Eddie smirks then his phone starts vibrating, he answers his phone and his smirk immediately faded.

"Hello? What? Which one?" Eddie Asked, walking away.

Becca, Buck and Violet looked over at Eddie worriedly. The three of them went over to check on him, and that's when Eddie revealed his Aunt is at the hospital.

Thankfully Bobby gave him the okay to leave early, so Eddie quickly drove over to the hospital as Becca, Buck and Violet accompanied him. They all exited the elevator and turned a corner seeing Eddies aunt Josefina.

"My aunt. Tía. ¿Qué pasó?" He runs over and embraces her, "Is Christopher okay?" Eddie Asked

"Yes. You mean Prince Charming, hmm? He's peachy." Josefina pointed to Chris, who's hanging out with two nurses.

"Tia remember Becca and Violet? Here they are." Eddie Said

"Becca, Violet, Dios mío, querida, ha pasado tanto tiempo que las dos os veis hermosas." Josefina Said, hugging both girls.

"Gracias." Becca and Violet Said

"Y tú también eres increíble." Becca Replied, as the older woman smiled.

"Tia what happened?" Eddie Asked

"It's your abuela she broke her hip." Josefina Said

"What? How?" Eddie Asked

"She was out back on the steps and calling him to come inside. She lost her balance, Christopher called 911. The rescue got there really quick." Josefina Said

"I want to see her." Eddie Said

"No, she's sleeping now." She looks over at Buck, who's been quiet, "And, uh, who is this?" Josefina Said

"This is Buck we work together, all of us do." Eddie Said

"Mm. I thought you all just dressed alike." Josefina Said

"This is my Aunt Josefina. Pepa." Eddie Said

"Hi." Buck Said

"You can't keep doing this, Eddie. You cannot keep
leaving him with her she's not up to it." Josefina Said

"I know. I know, and I'm sorry. I... I'm trying to find some permanent help, it's just...too many forms to fill out. It's worse than the V.A." Eddie Said, letting out a deep sigh.

"I can't believe your gringa ex stuck you with all of this." Josefina Huffed

"I'm not stuck, Tia." Eddie Retorted

"Do you have to go back to work? Ah. And you're not stuck..I'll keep him tonight, but you need to get this figured out." Josefina Said, as Eddie nodded.

"Daddy." Christopher Said

Eddie turned around looking at Chris who's smiling at him, "Buddy. Hey..."

He embraced his young son as Becca, Buck and Violet watched on with Josefina.

"Must be rough." Buck sighed

"Raising any child alone is rough, my nephew is a saint but I pray for him anyway." Josefina Said

"I'm sure Eddie we'll figure something out Josefina, like we always say gotta have hope right." Becca Said

"Mhm." Josefina Said

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Later that day after work Becca invited Justin to dinner with her and the kids, since he did spend the afternoon with the them till she came home.

After a great dinner of everyone sharing about their day, once it was over both parents helped put the kids to bed. Now downstairs Becca and Justin sat at the table enjoying their beers.

"So Justin I meant to ask any luck on the job search today?" Becca Asked, taking a swig from her beer.

"Um I've actually got an interview on Friday, it's for this apprenticeship program for an electrician job." Justin Said

"Really?" Becca Said

"Yep, Friday at 2PM it's downtown but not that far." Justin Said

"Justin that's great, yeah I hope you get it." Becca Smiled

"Thanks I do to I mean it shouldn't be too hard." Justin Said

"I'm sure it won't you have an engineering degree remember." Becca mentioned

"Ah yes the degree I've been wondering what to do with. Guess I'm about to put it to use finally." He chuckles, "But I'm all seriousness I'm happy that I've got an interview, lately it's been hard for me to get a job around here." Justin Said

"Tell me about it but you are going to do great Justin." Vince Said

"I hope so you know some people when they come home after the army there's this moment. It's a moment when you feel lost and stuck, and I felt that for a while.." Justin Said

"You did? Why didn't you tell me?" Becca Asked

"I didn't want to burden you with my problems, plus you have Vince and that's not your job anymore to worry about me." Justin Said

"So, look Justin just because we aren't married anymore doesn't mean I don't care about you.
I'm more than just the mother to our children,
I'm your friend and I'm always gonna care about you." Becca Said, with a smile.

"I know and I'll try to be more honest from now on I swear." Justin Said, nodding his head.

"You better." Becca Said, as he smiled at her.

The next day at work things have been kinda of slow, hasn't really been that much calls in. Downstairs Violet is busy with maintenance on the fire engine, Becca approached her holding out a fruit snack.

"You've wiped down that tire three times now, I'm pretty sure it's clean..fruit snack break?" Becca Said

Violet stood to her feet and accepted the snack, opening it up, "Thanks."

"Sure, so how ya feeling after yesterday?" Becca Asked

"I'm alright," She shrugged but Becca looked at her not buying it, "Why are you giving me that face?" Violet Said

"Because I know you dummy I know something's bothering you, and I want you tell me what's going on. Is it Bryce and his new girlfriend? Are you still in love with him?" Becca Said

"No I'm not in love with him..at least not anymore." Violet Huffed

"Then what is it Vi?" Becca Asked, concerned.

"It's just..I'm not mad at Bryce for moving on, I mean if he's happy then that's fine. I'm mad at myself because it's getting to me that I haven't
really moved on. For Christ sakes we broke up like five months ago and I haven't even attempted at moving on, it's like I'm-" Violet Said

"Stuck." Becca Said

"Yes," She sighed, "It's crazy how your with someone for three years and for it to be over just like that hurts. But what scares me more is that I have to start all over again...I haven't dated in a long time, why is this so hard for me?" Violet Said

Becca moved over to Violet, as she leaned her head on her shoulder then comforted her best friend.

"How did you do it Becks? Just get back out there." Violet Said

"Well like you said it took me an eternity," She slightly chuckled, "But when I was finally ready to put my self out there..I had fun getting to know new guys, meeting new people can be fun if you give it a try." Becca Said

"I'm sure it will..hey when did this happen, I was always the one giving you the dating advice." Violet Said

"Don't know but I like being on this side it's way more fun." Becca Said, then laughed as Violet rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, yeah don't worry the roles will reverse soon." Violet Said

She then looked past Becca and saw as Eddie walked in with his son Christopher accompanying him.

"Hey, look who's here." Violet Said

Becca turned to face them, "Hey Eddie."

"Hey, guys." Eddie Said

"Hi Chris, don't you look so nice today." Becca complimented

"Thanks Becca." Christopher Smiled

"Yeah I really color stripped shirt I'd totally wear that." Violet Said

"I can give you some fashion pointers if you'd like." Christoper Said, as Violet smiled.

"I'd love that actually." Violet Replied

"So what's Chris doing here?" Becca Asked

"Oh my aunt's at a work she's not getting off work till later, I don't have anyone else to watch him." Eddie Said

"Well I'm sure cap wont mind letting him stay for the afternoon." Violet Said

"Yeah, who can say no to that cute face." Becca Said

"Thanks guys." Eddie Said

"Hey Christopher, you wanna hangout upstairs that's were we keep our snacks you hungry?" Violet Asked

"Yeah." Chris Said

"Great come on." Violet Said

Violet walked as Chris followed behind her, as well as Eddie and Becca. A few minutes later the four of them were then joined by Chimney, Hen and Buck and they all sat down telling Christopher funny stories about each other.

"No really." Christopher Said

"I do this too much?" Chimney Said, as they all laughed.

"We all agree, believe me." Buck Said

"Christopher, I thought we were buddies what happened?" Chimney laughed, as Bobby approached them all.

"What's this? I don't remember asking the chief for reinforcements. You any good with a hose, kid?" Bobby Said

"I can try." Christoper Said

"All right." Bobby Smiled

"So sorry, Cap." He stood to his feet, "My aunt's trying to get off work early, but until then, I...
I didn't know where to take him." Eddie Explained

"Yeah, you did. Right here. Buck gave me a heads-up. I already cleared it with the chief." Bobby Replied

With that the alarm in the station rang as a call was reported over the PA system.

"All right, let's go, let's go!" Bobby Said

"All right, buddy." Chimney Said, as everyone got up and left the area.

"Where are we going dad?" Christopher Asked

"We are going to go on a little adventure." Eddie Said

Soon everyone was piled up onto the fire engine, in the back Christopher sat in between his dad and Violet and Becca. While across sat Chimeny and Hen, as the young boy pointed to the headphones around Chim's ears.

"What are those for?" Christopher Asked

"These are great, see, 'cause we can talk to each other. Though sometimes I wish I had a mute button for Buck." Chimney Said

"Oh I think we all do." Becca Chimed in, then truck horn honks.

"Oh, I'm sorry, were you saying something?" Buck Said, as Becca shook her head smiling.

"You have a scar on your head." Christopher Pointed out

"That's very observant, kid. I had an accident. Got a big metal rod stuck in my head, but the doctor took care of it. You ever have surgery?" Chimney Said

"Two times." Christopher Said

"Actually, three times." Eddie Corrected, chuckling.

"Well, you got me beat now I feel kind of lame." Chimney Said

"Because you are." Hen joked, as the young boy laughed hysterically, "Hey your dad ever tell you
why we call him Chimney?"

"No why?" Christopher Asked

"Yeah, I've been meaning to ask myself why do we call you that?" Violet wondered

"No." He shook his head,"No. No, no, no, no." Chimney Said

"I'll tell you guys the story later." Hen Said

Once they arrived at the scene Bobby decided to stay back with Chris, as the rest of his team helps out the car crash victims. A few hours later they arrived back at the station, where everyone took turns on hanging out with Christopher.

Chimney and Violet would play with him over by the
Pinball arcade game. Becca would sit with him and draw some cool pictures he even drew her as a superhero which she loved.

Bobby even made him a delicious grilled cheese sandwich which he enjoyed. Lastly Christopher wanted to side down the fire pole, even though Eddie was a little hesitant he trusted his son could do it.
Up above was Hen, Chimney and Violet while down below the pole was Eddie, Buck and Becca.

"Your a born fire fighter, look at you go." Chimney Said

"Way to go Chris." Violet Said

"Come down, bud." Eddie Said

"Look at that! Yay!" Buck Said, as he and Eddie caught him once he slid down.

"Whoa." They all cheered

"Good job. You nailed it, kid." Becca Said

Eddie looks ahead and noticed his aunt finally showed up. "All right, fun's over."

"Aw..." Buck Said

"Bye, Christopher." Chimney Said

"Later, Christopher." Hen Said

"Bye, Christopher." Violet Said

"See you next time Chris." Becca Smiled, waving at him.

"Bye." Christoper Said

"Come on, bud." Eddie Said

"Good job today, kiddo." Bobby Said

"You, too, Cap." Chris chuckled, as he walked over ti his aunt.

"Hola, mi amor. Okay, vamanos." Josefina Said, as she helped him walk towards the exit.

"See you later dad." Christoper Said

"Later bud." Eddie Said

Eddie watched his son and aunt walk off, then turned around and hugged Bobby.

"Thanks, Cap." Eddie Said

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

The next morning downstairs Becca is seen brushing her hair up into a low ponytail. As she takes one last look into the mirror her phone vibrates, she takes it out her back pocket to see a text message from Vince wishing her a good day.

Footsteps are heard coming down the stairs as Bryan, Aryana and Dylan are walking fast putting on their backpacks.

"So mom is dad on his way?" Bryan Asked

"No. Your dad's not taking you to school this morning I am." Becca Said

"Why?" They all asked

"Don't sound to too happy about that geez." Becca Said

"Sorry mom it's we've gotten used to dad picking us up and driving us to school." Aryana Said

"I know and I've been very thankful for that, but kids your dad actually has a very important job interview that he's getting ready for. So I told him I'll handle everything today so he can focus." Becca Said

"Dad's getting a job where?" Dylan Asked

"It's an electrical company and this is something that he can be very good at. And I'm hoping he'll get it because..I know he hasn't told you but Dad's been feeling a little stuck lately." Becca Said

"Stuck?" Aryana Said

"What do you mean stuck?" Bryan Asked

"Not literally stuck but it's just a feeling he's been going through. Sometimes people feel like they should be doing something but can't figure out how to fix their current situation to eventually get-" Becca Said

"Un-stuck." Dylan Added

"Exactly. But I'm sure everything is going to be okay, your dad's a smart guy he'll get the job. Okay, now it's almost 8:00 so," She opens the door, "Everyone in the car Ahora." Becca Said

"Ya vamos." Bryan Said

"Ella es muy agresiva." Aryana Said, in a whisper looking to her brothers.

"Lo sé bien." Dylan Said, as they exited the house.

"Es porque aún no ha tomado su café." Bryan Chimed in, as the three of them laughed.

"Heard that." Becca Said, closing her door behind her.

Later on that morning a call came in about a man stuck in a ATM Machine. The fire engine parks as Bobby, Becca and Buck exited as he tells them about his sister moving.

"The only way she knows it's real is for her to live in a two-bedroom apartment in Eagle Rock. What does that even mean?" Buck Said

"I think it means she's not comfortable squatting in some stranger's condo." Bobby Simply Said

"Abby's not a stranger." Buck Assured

"She is to Maddie." Becca Said

"Hi." A female officer approached them, shaking each of their hands.

The officer escorted them towards the back of the machine, where the door is as Buck checked out the hinges.

"Welded hinges." Buck Said

"Yup. Bank said they sent a technician out this morning to replace the lock on the vault. Found his van in the lot. Cell phone was in the passenger seat.
Best guess is he got locked inside the vault with no way to call out." She Said

"Help!" A voice called out from inside

A few moments later the three of them entered inside the ATM booth, Becca slid inside a mini camera into the machine as Buck set it up.

"Sir, we're gonna get you out of there." Buck Said

"Help! Can you hear me?!" He Said

"Oh. There he is." Bobby Said, looking down at the screen.

"All right let's get him out of there." Becca Said, leaving the booth as Bobby and Buck followed behind her.

"I just feel like it's happening all to fast. I mean, how many years did it take her before she was ready
to leave Doug?" Buck Said

"Well how many?" Becca Asked, reaching inside the truck to grab her gear.

"A really really long time." Buck Said, then she tossed his gear.

"That hardly feels like the same thing." Bobby Said

"My point is she just got here and now she's leaving again." Buck Said

"Buck, she's moving to Eagle Rock, not Alaska. It's ten minutes from your place. Abby's place." Bobby Said

"Besides you need to look at the bigger picture, your sister's building a new life for herself. Be proud of her." Becca Said

The three of them reach the back and Bobby starts using the the saw to cut the hinges. Becca notices that Buck is in a deep thought and raises a brow at him.

"What are you thinking hard about now?" Becca Asked

"Guys be I need you honest with me," Becca and Bobby looked at him, "Do you think it's weird
I still live in Abby's place?" Buck Said

Bobby puts down the saw then he and Becca both shared looks, then back over at the blonde.

"Yes." Becca and Bobby Said in unison

"Me, too. Don't tell anyone." Buck Said

"Okay, Buck." Bobby Said

"It was fine at first, you know? She was just gonna
be gone for a few months and I wanted to be supportive, but she still hasn't come back
and I don't know what to do. I'm just...stuck." Buck Said

"God what is in the air..is everyone feeling stuck nowadays." Becca Said

"Looks like it." He passed Becca a tool, "Use this to wedge through the door." Bobby Said

Becca took the tool and stared jamming it through the cracks, Buck walked over and helped her.

"It's weird I mean we hardly ever even talk, you know? It's always time zone issues or cell phone problems." Buck Said

"That tends to happen in a long distance relationship." Bobby Said

"Did you guys know she's been in Morocco over a week?" Buck Mentioned

"Wait really?" Becca Said

"No, I did not know that." Bobby Said

"No, me neither. Found out yesterday on Instagram.
I still love Abby, and I want her to be happy. How long do I have to wait before I get to be happy, too?" Buck Said, as Becca looked at him sympathetically.

But the guy inside shouts louder and she focuses back on the door, she and Buck jammed their tools harder at the door until it came loose.

"Got it." Becca Said

"All right, Step back. Ready?" Bobby Said

They moved out the way as the door came down, slamming hard against the ground. Inside there was the man as he let out a sigh of relief.

"I don't know this Abby person, but I've never been happier to see anyone in my life." He Said

Hen and Chimney arrives with a gurney and soon helps the guy, checking on him as they put him in the ambulance. Later that day after a hard last shift sadly they lost a civilian who was badly injured after falling into an escalator.

But to clear her mind and ease herself, once she was done Becca went to pick the kids up from school and this quickly distracted her. Once they were settled down in, Justin came over to share some great news and that he had gotten the job.

Happy for him Becca proposed the all go out to celebrate as a family. Justin liked that idea and they decided on Chinese, later that day Becca and Justin enjoyed a nice dinner with the kids company cheering to his new journey which he was grateful for.
