T.V: It is of a fact and proven that the golden Hollywood Actress, Amanda Udoh, had no hand in the death of Sarah Bright. Tony Wright, A nephew to Mr. Andrew Wright the CEO of Wright Pub—"

Stupid news.” Amanda said angrily, switching off the T.V with the remote control and throwing it to her brother, Drake, who was lying on a long couch in her living room, operating his phone.

It's been a week since Amanda had been discharged from the hospital and ever since, her neighborhood had been flooded with reporters. Some even had made their presence known while she was in the hospital. Her fans on the other hand, were nice. Some, who were touched by Amanda's incident, had sent gifts, flowers and good will messages and those who had maliciously accused her for being responsible for Sarah's death, had formally apologized to her.

Her father and brother had traveled down to come look after her until she was fully recovered and having her family together again brought back good memories from when she was young.

“Ouch!” Drake screamed “Dad!” He called out.

“Grow up Drake, your sis is unwell.” Mr. Michael Udoh yelled back from the Kitchen where he was, doing the dishes from breakfast with Kate, his daughter's manager who at that moment, was laughing at Mr. Udoh’s comment.

“Pifft.” Drake aired out “Unwell my ass.”

Amanda threatened to hit him with the pillow in her hand and he dodged out of fear.

Kate flew down to New York after getting the news. She was scared and wanted to make sure Amanda was ok. Amanda was in a bad situation but to Kate, it was good enough to bring her back fully into the limelight.

“I almost would have died and now I’m the golden Actress? So insulting.” Amanda whispered.

There was a light knock on the door and Kate volunteered to get it.

“Coming!” Kate said out, hurrying towards the door. She opened the door and called “Amanda, it’s for you!” kate yelled.

“Don’t wanna see anyone.” She Amanda said back with a mouthful of Mrs. Albert homemade cookies.

“Trust me, you wanna see this one.” Kate informed her still holding the door open.

“Oh Kate, fine.” Amanda sluggishly got up from the couch and walked tiredly to the door.

Amanda finally got close to the door “Uhggg!” She gasped loudly when her eyes fell on who it was standing at her door.

Amanda instantly remembered how unkempt she looked, she was wearing long multi-colored stockings, a brief jean shorts and a big yellow shirt. Her lips completely free of any beautification, forming no smile whatsoever and her attractive brown eyes with bristly lashes broadened in careful astonishment. Her long, dark hair fell on her shoulder in a slack, somewhat pretty mess making anyone wonder the last time it was pampered.

Drake ran to see who it was after hearing Amanda wheeze “Dad!” He called again.

“What Drake?” Mr. Udoh asked frustrated.

“We’ve got another reporter at the door!” Drake yelled back.

“Don’t let your sister out, I’m coming.” He heard is father say.

Drake went forward and held Amanda's hand, attempting to pull her in but he wasn't prepared for the slap she gave him at the back of his hand the moment he laid them on her, forcing him to lose his grip off.

Her father finally came out from the kitchen, wiping his wet hands on his black trouser. “Drake I told you not to let your sister be seen.” He scolded when he got near.

“Dad.” Amanda brought her father’s attention back on her “Meet my Boss at work, Wright Junior.” She introduced “Junior, meet my family. My Dad, My little Bro and my Manager Kate.”

“A Pleasure to meet you sir.” Junior stretched forth his hands and smiled gracefully.

“I finally get to see you.” Mr. Michael Udoh said taking Junior’s outstretched arm in his.

“uhhhhhh, come with me.” Amanda took Junior's hand from her dad and practically dragged him outside with her.

“Sorry.” She apologized once they were on the porch, alone.

A bit taken aback, “For what?” Junior asked, smiling at her.

She moved coyly to the corner and sat on a single chair on her porch. “I shouldn’t have left without letting you know first.” her voice fell sad out of guilt.  For a while, she thought if she had told him before leaving, her troubles could have been avoided.

“True.” He said sitting on the chair opposite hers “But what is important is that you are fine now.” He sniggered a little and added, “You look beautiful, Amanda.”

“Huh?” Her mouth fell open and she looked down at the ugly, yellow polo she wore. “Thanks for the irony.” She laughed, slightly embarrassed to be seen that way.

“That’s more like it.” His intention was to make her laugh, but he truly meant what he said. “Amanda,” He called, putting on a serious face “I’m sorry Tony hurt you. Believe me, I did everything to avoid this from happening but it happened all to—"

“Samuel, what are you saying?” She asked quickly, interrupting him.

“What I’m trying to say is—” He felt she had a right to know everything since she was the victim in the whole drama. Junior found himself telling her how the intention of the whole thing was to catch Tony red handed and she was unfortunate to be in the middle of it all. He didn't leave out the tracker installed on her wrist watch and the yellow file incident.

“Are you saying that you knew all along that your father was using me and you didn’t think of telling me?” there were bits of anger in her voice while she spoke. She felt betrayed, unsafe in the company f who she thought she had feelings for..

“It was best you didn't know.” Wright Junior mentioned, not doing his best to explain further.

“Yeah, for your company’s missing funds.” She added irritably.

“Amanda.” He called, hoping that she would at least try to understand him.

“I would have died because of your family drama. Oh Amanda, what have you gotten yourself into?” She asked speaking to herself in third person. “You guys even tampered with the one thing so dear to me, my late mother's watch.” The revelation of this spiked her anger, burning her heart as water gathered around her eyes

“Please, i—"

“I’m tired, Samuel. I need to go rest my head.” No longer interested in talking to Junior, she got up from the chair she sat on and waited for Junior to do the same.

“I’ll take my leave now.” He stood up too “I wish you can forgive me. Rest well, Amanda.” He said to her. He stepped down of the porch and walked to his car.

Amanda furiously walked into the house and found her father standing in the living room. She guessed he must have over heard their conversation. Her heart was erupting; she couldn’t understand how she felt. Was she angry at Samuel, disappointed she couldn’t talk about the pictures and the ticket, betrayed or in love? She couldn’t even discern.

“Dad, let’s leave for Sultan Lake tomorrow.” She pleaded, half sobbing as tears clouded her eyes

Michael felt soft; he walked closer to his daughter and consoled her with a hug.

So upset..........!!!!!!!!
