The melodious voices of the choir ushered in the father of the bride holding his daughter’s hand in his while they walked down the isle. Louis smiled as he watched his beautiful bride approaching him.
Mr. Eric Robertson gave his daughter’s hand to Louis, who took it in his and they both turned to face the Priest then, Bridget's father made his way back to his seat, in the front pew beside his wife.
Amanda stood beside Bridget as the chief bride's maid and smiled, watching the Priest join her friend and Louis in Holy Matrimony. In that Swift moment, she envisioned herself up there, standing with her Groom in front of the Priest and saying her vows. Even though it wasn’t time yet, she still chose to hold on to that dream.
Amanda was so happy and laughed a little when she saw Elena pouring out tears of joy.
The reception was filled with excited family and friends. Amanda watched Bridget laugh as she spoke with her guest.
“She looks beautiful in her wedding dress.” Elena voiced from behind her, distracting her from her solitude state.
“Being friends with you is a blessing, Elena.” Amanda commented wholeheartedly, warming her friend with a sincere smile. "Who else would have patiently selected the best of best wedding dress for her?"
Elena chortled. A comment like that made her thought of engraving her achievement on stone. “You and Bridget are more like sisters to me and seeing Bridget now makes me want to settle down.” She said as both of them looked at each other and Burst out laughed “I heard you are going back to L.A tomorrow.” Elena said.
“Yeah.” Amanda confirmed.
“Why the rush.”
“I cant run away from my life ever.” Amanda told her friend.
“Can you please extend the date?” Elena pleaded without including her reason for the request.
Amanda was puzzled as to why Elena would ask that “Why? Missing me already?” She finally asked, playfully.
“It’s been Eight years since we last saw each other and who knows if it’ll take us another eight years before we see again. Who knows if we might even miss our weddings or—“
Amanda hushed her friend before she could add another sad 'who knows if…' “I won’t miss your wedding for anything in the world and you dare not miss mine.” Amanda confronted, still wearing her iconic smile. She held Elena's hands and confessed “I'm sorry I couldn't create time for us before. I promise, things will be different this time.”
“We all will make this time different.” Bridget added, joining the conversation.
Amanda felt tears forming in her eyes. She knew she will miss them so much and not just them “This isn’t good bye” She told them.
“Of course baby, but let’s hang out one more time, tomorrow night before you go to L.A. there will be boys and drinks and most of our old friends from High school will be there. I will be borrowing my dad’s Yacht, and we’ll just sail till dawn.” Elena invited ecstatically, begging with her eyes that they shouldn't refuse.
“I’d have love to be there but Louis and I will be on our honey moon starting tomorrow.” Bridget added, in a slightly disappointed tone.
“And I’ll be traveling to South Africa next weekend. Don’t say no, please.” Elena begged. Obviously, just Amanda. She knew she can't ask Bridget to sacrifice her Honey moon.
“It’s weird but ok, since you asked nicely. My stay in New York has been more of an adventure than I thought it would, adding one more to it won’t bite.” Amanda agreed
“That’s my girl!” Elena said aloud.
“Honey!” They heard Louis call from a distant.
“I got to go.” Bridget informed them “Text me after the party tomorrow, ok?”
“Go” Amanda said laughing with Elena as Bridget left their midst.
“Is it gonna hold in New York?” Amanda asked, hoping to get more detail about Elena's party.
“No, Sultan Lake. You still remember my dad’s boat, right?” She asked to be sure, strolling down together.
“I guess.” Amanda sounded unsure. It had been a long time, how could she totally remember?
“It will be the only boat with lights and music.” Elena said moving toward the table with the dessert “Be there by eight.”

Junior walked into his father’s room. He still was upset with him but was ready to let go his anger. He found his father arranging some papers on his bed so focused that he didn’t know when Junior walked in “Dad!” Wright Junior called.
Mr. Wright’s Attention was stolen then he turned around to see his son
“Dad.” Junior called again before walking in.
“Son, I’m surprised to see you here.” Mr. Wright confessed.
“I came by to say thank you.”
Stunned, Mr. Wright had to ask his son. “What for?”
“For making me a better and a stronger man.” Junior replied.
Wright Junior heard his father exhale slowly before he said, “Every father goes beyond his capacity to protect his son. But you went beyond your capacity to protect me. You abandoned your dream to carry mine; you are more of a man than I ever was. I am proud to be your father and I know that you mom agrees with me too. You always have been better and stronger.” Mr. Wright complimented.
Wright Junior walked closer to his father and gave him a manly hug. He felt happy, for that was the first time he was this close to his father.

The next day, Amanda had prepared herself to attend Elena's party. She wasn't really interested in meeting old friends from high school but, she couldn't dare turn down Elena's offer.
She got to the waterfront at the exact time Elena had told her. Amanda thanked to the cab man who dropped her off, paid him and watched I'm drove off. The dock was quiet and cold, she walked slowly on the wooden deck looking for the right Boat.
She stopped in front of a large Yacht, which looked like a three story building on a leveled plane that floated on water, hoping it was the right one. It matched Elena’s description; there were light and music but not the type of music she expected to hear. “I guess I’m very early.” She said looking down at her Watch.
“Miss Amanda.” A middle aged man in a white and black uniform called out to her. He stretched out his hand to her; she took it and climbed on board.
The crew lined up and acknowledge Amanda as she majestically strolled past them “This doesn’t look like Mr. Benson’s Yacht.” She doubtedly told herself as she moved. She could even spot the difference “Maybe this is a different one; he is a millionaire after all.”
“There is no one here.” She thought as she walked down the stairs into what looked like a living room. The floor was covered with white furry carpet, the furniture was polished and shiny and the sofa matched the carpet.
There was a distinct smell that traveled through the sea air, Amanda recognized it and followed it up the stairs through the other open entrance to the second floor of the Yacht. Like a moth to a flame, Amanda kept on moving.
Little did she know that the Yacht had sailed to the middle of the sea. The room she entered was more spacious than the previous one, there were paintings on wall, and it all reminded her of a place she had been to before. The fragrant she followed was stronger in that room she was in and it confused her a bit.
She walked towards the window, then did she realize “Oh no, it’s moving!” She gasped.
Where could she be?
