ONCE MEETING up with nelson again, he dragged jake over with him. the girls stared at the two boys before talking.

"i was thinking of going to the mall tonight?" chris asked, looking at the three of them in front of her.

"it's closed." nelson replied, using a ton of attitude no one needed.

"no you idiot. the outside one, tons of kids go there and get drunk everynight." jake said, joining in on the conversation. christina nodded, happy that the older boy understood what she was directing herself at.

the younger two looked at eachother before rolling their eyes and walking to the car ahead of the other ones. jake proceeds to grab his and nelson's bag off the stands and catch up to the rest of them.

upon arriving at the outdoor mall, the group of four all jumped out of the car. the car ride had been anything but awkward. jake had been so easy to talk to and he practically was an open book.

"nelson, harley, look at me okay?" christina started. the two looked up at the slightly taller girl. "someone offers you a drink, don't take it. i don't want to have to go home with two drunk middle schoolers."

"were highschoolers, actually." nelson said, finding it funny to piss off the older girl.

she rolled her eyes before continuing to walk ahead. the night had been cold leaving the four of them absolutely freezing from the start. as they walked towards the larger group of people, two others stopped them.

"harl! chris!" a girl had came sprinting up to the sisters. maddy, their cousin had smiled before hugging the two girls. isaac, her boyfriend had followed slowly behind the fifteen year old before dapping up jake and nelson.

"since when did this happen?" isaac said, laughing a bit before looking at his teammates.

"since you missed practice." nelson replied, letting his little white girl attitude come out again. jake nudged his shoulder before giving isaac the real answer. "literally tonight ellis."

the boy laughed a bit before responding. "well it's great to see the two of you."

the girls continued to gossip as the boys walked over to them again. "you guys got anything yet?" chris asked

isaac took the hoodie string out of his mouth. "like drinks?"

maddy chimed in. "not at all, but i heard some people are smoking weed down by the bay." she pointed in the opposite direction, in which everyone decided to head down there except for nelson and jake.

"we'll catch up to y'all in a few." nelson said before jake joined in. "piss break."

the girls laughed a bit before isaac decided to head with the boys as well.

"text the groupchat when you get back!" harls screamed as the three boys walked away.

jake and nelson had met up with the three girls before deciding to head home. they had school the next morning causing them to not want to stay out as late as they could. christina had proceeded to drop off jake back at his house. and maddy next.

"let me know if isaac ends up texting you." nelson said as the cousin hopped out of the car.

the girl tried a smile before responding "i will nelson. see you all tomorrow at school."

christina began driving down the dark road. the rain had still been pouring hard, keeping the car ride not too silent.

"and you swear you didn't see him leave, or walk away with anyone?" harley said, turning around from the passenger seat to face the blonde boy.

"i swear. he said he would be waiting for us outside, and when we got out, he was gone." nelson responded, trying his best to explain the story. "if anything, he probably walked home. he lives close to the mall if i remember correctly.

"hello! bayville police station, how may i help you?" the front desk officer said, picking up a call on the desk phone ahead of her.

"HELP ME. PLEASE. I THINK I FOUND A BODY, OR SOMETHING." a teenage boy yelled on the other side of the phone.

"slow down sir. i can not understand you." the officer responded, trying to calm the boy down.

"i'm positive i found a body. the man is lying on the floor, bloody, and not breathing." the boy screamed again, yet he was heard much easier now.

"and where are you?" the officer continued as she began to press the button leading an ambulance and cops to the area the kid was about to say.

"bayville outdoor mall. come fast. please." the child hung up the phone.
