Home doesn't really have to be a place. Some might call it home when you have a shelter above your head and food to devour. No, That's a house. Home is the feeling. The feeling of being protected and loved under someone's gaze. Home is when you feel safe and accepted in one's arms.

 Home can also be a person, or a feeling you find within a specific relationship. Home might be where your family is. Or it might be where your friends are.

For Aviana, Home is when she's with her brothers, Best friends, Bandmates. Her guardian angels, the god above granted her.

A simple thought of partaking in the X-Factor leads her to get stuck in a much more complex situation. Joining a band with five guys was never inscribed on her bucket list. If she could only go back in time to tell her sixteen-year-old self, how her life will turn upside down because of a simple judgment Simon Cowell made. One night she's staring out into the night sky, hoping to just get through the contest - the next day her desires come true. But with five obnoxious and insensitive boys as an addition.

July 23, a day written in the golden book of history. One of the most significant days on the edge of the 10's decade.

The day six teenagers from around the United Kingdom and Ireland were brought together to compete in a television series as a band. Going through the journey of the X-Factor together, Only for it to turn out they were much more than just the second runner-ups. 

Louis, Zayn, Liam, Niall, Harry and Aviana were the six members of One Direction. The kids who lost the X-Factor, but later won the whole world.

This is the story of the SIX, and how they found their home in the closeness of each other.

‣ This story carries a very very complex plot because I can't possibly fit five years of On Direction without making it easy. There will be a lot of small small details and the chance of me losing track of them is high. This story also has a lot of slice-of-life writing where I step out of the original plot for a bit. Don't expect me to always focus on the plot and the plot alone.

‣ This book is divided into five categories titled 'acts' every act will take place in a single year. Meaning, 2010 will be the first act and 2011 will be the second act. This is done to make it easier for both you and me (and also because there's just too much for me to talk about)

‣ I will also have to mention that this is not a sappy love story where all the five boys fall in love with the girl but she only loves one of them and two months later they get married. NO. I repeat, this story fully focuses on their careers and the music industry. So if this is not your cup of tea, please feel free to find another book. Because I promise you, there's plenty out there.

‣ There will be a special segment called 'ELYSIAN' which is a look into the social media that goes parallel to the story. It will appear throughout the book, every five chapters. If you're not a fan of social media prompts, you can skip those chapters as they do not affect the main storyline. You can follow @avianarae_ on Instagram for the actual posts

‣ This book will be dealing with heavy materials such as extreme showbiz, drugs, domestic abuse, and physical and mental assault as I've mentioned above. I will always be putting a warning on top of every chapter that deals with the said themes. So if you feel uncomfortable reading about those heavy themes, I advise you to skip over them. Please don't read it and later cancel the author.

‣ All the real people I've mentioned or used in the story might be re-personalised according to the plotline. So please don't come at me if your favourite artist, model or host is portrayed as a problematic character. Most of the time, I will try my best to use original characters for those places, so (I'm doing my best!)

‣ In the book, I will be using names and images of companies like Syco, Modest! and Lipton. Please note that I have no fucking idea how these things work and all of the work is just my imagination. So inaccurate displays will be present because I'm just a girl

‣ In this book, you will stumble upon a lot of characters - when I say a lot, I mean A LOT. Since this book deals with showbiz and the music industry, you will get to meet a lot of characters throughout the story. They might be people who you will forget when you reach the end of the book or there might be people who you will keep in mind. It's okay if you forget a character because most of the time I'll remind you who it is at the end of the chapter :)

‣ The protagonist in this story is of south Asian and French heritage aside from being British. I wanted to make the story as diverse as possible because there are not a lot of Asian or French protagonist fics in Wattpad. And also, I'm actually from an Asian base and I find it very easy to write about my culture more than anything. And because I didn't want to write something way wrong and offend anyone, I simply used what I'm really confident writing in. 

(So my dear Sri Lankan people, please don't question me about this book when you meet me IRL. Don't even bother to MENTION it because I'll come for your first born child if you do so)

‣ Please note that the protagonist is multilingual and therefore will speak in different languages. I'll always try to keep her talking in English but there are times that she will have to use her mother tongue and other languages as well. Sinhalese, Japanese, Korean, and French are what you'll find throughout the book most of the time. And for your information, I will be using Google Translate for that so if there are any mistakes in my translation, please don't hesitate to point them out. 

‣ Please do not - in any form - steal my manips. I worked my ass off to make them.

‣ Please don't promote yourself or your content in the comments because it is very disturbing and disrespectful. If you want to promote your works, go to my conversations and do so, I'll definitely check them out. I'd be trying my best to delete them so you guys would be able to read the story in peace.

‣ You're free to feel whatever you want for the characters that appear in this book but please try to refrain from spreading intense hate on any living characters mentioned.

I've been so caught up in writing chapters for this book, making manips, making insta posts and all that, I slowly forgot about my two older babies. But you know what they say, the youngest always gets the best. (Not me tho, my bro lives like a fucking prince while I barely survive as a servant)

And also to my irl friends, Sometimes you will find this protagonist acting very similar to how I act in irl. (Who am I kidding? Of course, I imagined myself being in this situation) I know that my irl girlfriends are reading this and PLEASE, DON'T CONFRONT ABOUT IT IF YOU MEET ME OUTSIDE OR YOU'RE TEXTING ME BECAUSE IT'S EMBARRASSING AS FUCK.
