Plot
There's a heavy rainstorm tonight in New York city and the guys are sleeping peacefully until a certain red eared slider gets woken up by Lillie, who's terrified of the loud crashing of thunder. So when the others aren't awake for comfort, Leo decides to go 'Big Brother Raph' mode and comfort Lillie.

It was a rainy night in New York, practically pouring down rain by the time midnight rolled around with occasional claps of thunder or lightning.

The brothers were fast asleep, Raph was under his blankets, holding a teddy bear and snoozing away, Donnie snored a little in his sleep as the soft shell laid on his stomach while he slept, Mikey tiredly mumbled in his sleep as he slept in his hammock, one arm dangling out of the hammock while Leo was hugged his pillow in his sleep as he wore his sleep mask.

Leo made a tired hum as he nuzzled his pillow, having a wonderful dream until the red eared slider jolted awake at the sound of crashing thunder. Leo moved his sleep mask away from his face and groaned softly, rubbing his eyes before he faintly heard the 'pitter patter' of little feet, Leo looked over at his doorway and saw a familiar little figure standing outside the door: Lillie.

The orange haired little girl wore pastel star themed pajamas and had unicorn slippers on (courtesy of Leo) as the little kid was also holding a very ratty plush bunny in her arms.

"Hey kiddo, what are you doing awake?" Leo asked, he turned on his lamp and it provided a bit of light as he wondered why the little one was wondering about so late at this time, it left him a bit puzzled.

"Sorry if I woke you. I jus-"

Suddenly, a loud 'crash!' of thunder was heard which made Leo flinch at the sound but he saw Lillie jump as she screamed a bit, running to Leo's bed and her immediate reaction was to hide under the blankets. Leo saw her visibly shaking under the comfort of the blankets as if it would protect her from the lighting. Leo then pieced together what was the cause of Lillie getting up this late.

"Ooh, I get it. You're scared of thunder huh?" Leo asked, moving the blanket and he looked under it as Lillie glanced at the red eared slider but she gave a small nod, still pretty rattled about the loud sound.

Leo felt his heartstrings being tugged at as he remembered when he and his brothers were turtle tots, Mikey would get scared by the loud crashes of thunder too so he was familiar with this situation but he knew that neither of his brothers were awake to comfort the kid however.

"C'mere Lillie, I gotcha.." Leo said, he motioned for her to come out of the blankets and Lillie was hesitant at first but she slowly yet surely peeked out of the blankets.

Leo softly picked up Lillie and he held her in his arms as he held the kid in a soft but reassuring hug, leaning back against the bed as he hummed a small song to try and help Lillie sleep. Lillie slowly relaxed in the slider's arms and she gave a tired hum as the little girl hid her face in Leo's plastron, being lulled to sleep as she heard the thunder rumble but she didn't feel bothered by it thanks to Leo.

Leo couldn't help but feel a smile tug at his lips as he looked down at Lillie before he rubbed gentle circles on her back, making the kid relax further.

He heard the thunder but he made sure to keep Lillie calm as he held her in his grasp, he close his eyes for a moment and started to softly sing a melody he had heard which would lull the child to sleep again.

Leo opened his eyes and he looked down as he saw Lillie had completely fallen back asleep, she was holding onto the slider gently and Leo laid down in his bed as he held Lillie in his arms, protecting her as she slept and he turned the lamp off. He faintly hummed the song as he slowly drifted off to sleep as well.

When morning came around, Raph was making sure everyone was awake and he then went to Leo's room to wake him up. "Hey Leo, you u-" Raph started, he then stopped himself as he saw the wholesome scene in front of him.

Leo was holding Lillie in his arms and one hand was on the kid's head in a protective manner, both of them still fast asleep. Raph then silently motioned Donnie and Mikey to come look as the two brothers peeked into Leo's room and saw the situation.

"Aw..!" Mikey silently gushed, he found the scene adorable as Donnie grabbed his phone and snapped a picture, the soft shell felt a small smile tug at his lips.

"Blackmail." Donnie whispered, Raph told them that he'd get Leo later for training and the three left Leo and Lillie be so they could sleep after the thunderstorm last night.
