Plot
The brothers are getting used to Lillie's company around the lair and she is warming up to them fairly well, she then tells them that she had never seen the night sky before due to her life back in the orphanage so Raph decides to take this as an opportunity to show Lillie the spectacular night sky along with giving the kid a special gift.

It was a cloudy night in New York City and back in the lair, Lillie was fast asleep in her bed as she gave a tired hum while she hugged her bunny plushy in her sleep, curled up into a ball on her bed but soon the child felt something started to nudge her awake.

"Psst.. Lillie. Kiddo, wake up." Lillie whined quietly but she woke up and she rubbed her eyes as she saw that it was Raph who had woken her up, the snapper smiled a little and he then scratched the back of his head.

"Sorry kiddo, I know it's late but Raph's got a surprise to show you!" Raph whisper-shouted, trying to be quiet so he didn't wake his brothers up.

"A surprise..? What is it?" Lillie asked, she moved her blanket and she sat up as she wondered what Raph had in store for her and Raph handed Lillie her unicorn slippers.

"Put these on, were going up top for a bit, you'll see." Raph said, Lillie gave a nod and she put her slippers on as she grabbed her throw blanket, putting it over herself so she wasn't cold.

Raph picked up Lillie and he carried the kid on his shoulders as he was much more careful since he didn't want to accidentally hurt the kid with his sharp spikes, the two went up topside and Raph carried something else in his arm as he ascended up the ladder with the little kid on his shoulders.

Once they got up topside, Raph went to the rooftops and he softly put Lillie down on the rooftop floor as he set aside the gift next to him for a moment. "Why are we up here?" Lillie asked, she seemed more puzzled as she turned to Raph and Raph looked at the kid before he gave a small chuckle as he pointed up.

"For this." Raph said, looking up as Lillie did as well and the clouds began to clear as Lillie's eyes widened when she saw the beautiful stars in the night sky, she was blown away by the stars as they were even more amazing than the child could ever draw or imagine. "Wow... it's so pretty Raphie..!" Lillie chirped, she turned to Raph and small stars formed in her eyes from astonishment.

"I'm glad you like it kiddo, plus I got one more surprise for ya! It's from all of us." Raph grabbed the second gift and held it out to Lillie as Lillie gently grabbed the box which was wrapped up in crescent moon themed wrapping paper and tied up with a golden bow.

Lillie pulled the ribbon and it came undone as she tore the wrapping paper a bit, opening the box as she saw a new hooded poncho inside the box and it was neatly folded up. She softly picked it up out of the box to examine it.

The poncho was a gentle Caramel brown color, the sleeves and bottom of the poncho had small rose pink four pointed star designs, on the back of the poncho was the hamato clan symbol. "It's so pretty..!" Lillie chimed, she looked at Raph and he gave a small smile at the kiddo.

Lillie moved her throw blanket off her shoulders and she put the new poncho on as she loved how cozy it was. "Mikey worked on the designs, it's a gift for you to welcome you into the family." Raph said, he ruffled Lillie's hair carefully with one hand as Lillie was caught off guard by this and she looked up at the red masked turtle.

"You.. you guys would want me in your family? I-I.." Lillie's words trailed off as she thought that this was a trick and she didn't want to end up all alone again before she felt herself being lifted off the ground, Raph had picked her up as he held her in his arms in a secure but comforting hug.

"It's not a trick, we're bein' serious Lillie. You've been through a lot of pain with losing your parents, being bullied, tormented by the dragons... you're apart of this family." Raph said, he looked down at Lillie and he saw her look up at him.

"But.. I'm not like you guys, I just... I don't wanna be alone anymore.." Lillie admitted, she pulled her hood up and Raph felt his heartstrings being pulled at as he knew all too well of the feeling of being alone. He moved Lillie's hood and the child looked up at him, having a few tears pricking at her eyes as Raph wiped them away with his thumb.

"Lillie, trust me. You don't have to be a mutant to be apart of this family. And you're not going to be alone, ever again. We've got this sayin' in our family.. 'Anata wa hitorijanai.' It means 'You're not alone' even when you are alone Lillie, me and my brothers will always be with you." Raph said, Lillie teared up and she wiped some tears away from her face as she hugged Raph again.

"Thank you.." Lillie softly said, Raph hugged her back and he smiled a little as it was eventually getting past the little kid's bedtime to where Lillie was beginning to doze off.

"Let's get you back to bed Firefly, Donnie's gonna have my shell if he finds out." Raph mumbled the last part as he carried Lillie on his shell, being careful of the spikes as he grabbed the throw blanket that Lillie brought and he made his way back to the lair.

When they got back, Raph put Lillie back in her bed and he tucked her in as he then shut the fairy lights off but the nightlight was still producing a comforting glow so the kid didn't get scared of the dark. "Goodnight Lil's." Raph said, he then quietly left the room but soon heard the kid.

"Goodnight, big brother.." Lillie yawned and she drifted off to sleep as Raph glanced at her but he smiled and had never felt more proud in his life to be called that.
