Raph and Kia are left at the lair while the rest of the brothers are running errands for tonight. Eventually Kia makes some playful banter, claiming she can and I quote 'I could probably beat you in a fight with my eyes closed!' Which leads to a sparring match between Raph and Kia, but she gets a bit too cocky and ends up getting hurt.

It was a nice night in the lair and Leo, Mikey and Donnie were out running some errands at the moment so that currently left Raph by himself but he wasn't completely alone, a friend of the guys had stayed with them: Kia.

She was a calico mutant and she was pretty nice to get along with, Kia was in the kitchen as she grabbed a soda from the fridge before she began to hear thuds coming from the training room/dojo so she went to take a look as her tail softly whipped behind her.

"Now what's he up to?" Kia mumbled, she peeked into the room once she arrived and saw Raph throwing a couple of good punches and attacks at a training dummy.

Kia watched quietly and she occasionally took a small sip of her drink before Raph landed one last hit that knocked the training dummy to the floor, the red masked turtle panted quietly and stretched a little before he heard a voice.

"Take it easy big red, I think the dummy's had enough."

Raph looked over at the doorway and he saw Kia as he shook his head in dismissal before he put the dummy back upright. "Can't stop now Kia, besides. Trainin' is trainin'." Raph said.

"It would not and let me reiterate, NOT kill you to lighten things up for once." Kia said, she walked into the room with her soda in hand as Raph turned to her for a moment.

"Says you, you've got your claws to fight. But you can break those and you're a goner." Raph said, Kia raised a brow at the snapper and she then took another drink of her soda before setting the can down on a crate.

"Oh really now? Let's prove it then. I can beat you in a fight, anytime and anywhere Big Red. I can beat you in a fight with my eyes closed!" Kia said, poking Raph's plastron with one claw and Raph crossed his arms but he decided to take that challenge.

"Alright, let's go then. One sparring session." Raph said, he led Kia to a spot that had a bit of a spacious area for them to fight and Raph stretched while Kia did a couple of stretches as well so she didn't end up hurting herself while the sparring match progressed. "Just so you know, I'm not going easy on you just because you're a girl." Raph said.

"Who said I was either?" Kia remarked, she gave a small smirk and her claws unsheathed as Raph rushed at Kia and the calico dodged with some rather impressive speed before landing an attack from the side.

Raph didn't falter and then tried to grab Kia but he knew all too well that the calico mutant had quite the advantage due to her cat reflexes and speed, Raph then lunged at Kia from behind with his arm reeled back as the snapper managed to land a hard hitting punch on her. Kia was certainly surprised but yelled a little as she was sent back from the impact, crashing into some of the supplies.

Raph immediately felt bad as he sometimes forgot how strong he was at times so he bolted over to Kia who was in a bit of a daze. "Kia! Kia, you okay?" Raph asked, carefully helping her out of the supplies she had crashed into and Kia held her head but her ears flattened against her head in pain.

"Other than a bruise or two, I think I'm okay." Kia said, she then rubbed her back where Raph landed his punch and she then turned to Raph but noticed his worry and regret for what he had done. Kia held a hand up in reassurance and she smiled a little, showing Raph that she was okay. "Relax big guy, I'm fine.." Kia said.

"No you're not, come on." Raph said, he picked up Kia and carried her as Kia was certainly caught off guard by the sudden action and she didn't expect Raph to just carry her around so casually.

Raph took them to the kitchen and he put Kia in a chair before he made his way over to the fridge, getting an ice pack from the freezer and he went back to Kia. He softly placed the ice pack on Kia's back and he felt her wince away from the pack, his guilt written as Kia got a grip on the pack and kept it pressed against the bruised spot so Raph moved his hand away.

"Don't worry about it Raph, I'm fine. I've been hurt worse than this, trust me-"

"No its not Kia!" Raph snapped, Kia jolted and she looked at the snapper with a bit of worry as Raph then gave a soft sigh and turned away from Kia. "I keep forgetting how strong I am.. I could have seriously injured you or worse!" Raph said, he felt horrible and he didn't mean to hurt Kia that badly as he then flinched a little but looked down and saw Kia had hugged his arm.

"Calm down Raph, you didn't know your own strength. It can happen to anyone, all I got was a bruise, trust me. I'm fine." Kia said, she then pulled away and softly patted Raph's arm as Raph gave a small smile and felt a bit better before Kia playfully punched his arm.

"Now quit being all sad an' junk, how about we do a movie binge and snack on some ice cream?" Kia suggested.

"Sounds good to me." Raph said, he saw Kia leave the room to get the movie set up while he went to the freezer and grabbed two small pints of strawberry ice cream, then shutting the freezer.

He walked to the living room and the two of them got to eat ice cream and binge watch some Jupiter Jim movies for a while, Kia leaned against Raph's arm playfully and she admittedly had a nice time hanging out with her favorite sparring buddy.
