WISH, a new K-pop group taking the world by storm, debuted October 29th, 2019 with their song "Trick-or-Treat." Their hit single quickly rose to the top of K-pop charts, and is a must-listen autumn hit.

WISH, consisting of eight members, ranges from '97-'03, with the oldest member being 21 and the youngest at 16. They went for a supernatural concept with Trick-or-Treat (stylized T.O.T.). Some viewers have pointed out that T.O.T. resembles a crying face emoji.

This seems accurate, as their long-awaited MV for Trick-or-Treat dropped just yesterday, and is sure to scare even the toughest viewers. Some viewers have compared their MV to VIXX's Voodoo Doll, but in reality, WISH stands out from the pack.

From their unique vocals to talented rap line, they have what it takes to be K-pop's next big hit. Will they be the superstars of the year? Or will they fall prey to antis?

Net Citizens, or Netizens, have been taking the internet by storm. Although most of them mean no harm, a few are known as "antis." Many antis, or dedicated haters of a specific K-pop group/member, are also netizens. Antis are the bane of all K-pop groups, and yet they are unavoidable.

Often, antis are so dedicated to one group that they hate all other groups, or they are labeled "fake-fans" because they only like one member of a group and hate on all the other members. Sometimes antis are an entire fan group (more commonly referred to as a "fandom"), or they are just one person. Lots of K-pop groups have toxic fandoms (such as BLINKs and EXOTICs), who are so happy to see their group succeed that no other K-pop group can beat them.

Many idols have received death threats from antis, and some suffer from depression, anxiety, anorexia, etc. due to the hate. If they start to perform worse because of the hate they are receiving, they receive even more hate for "not living up to their standards." The K-pop industry can be very rewarding, yes. But a coin cannot exist without two sides.

There is always a dark side.
