〔 SPECIAL SCENE : CONGRATULATIONS! 〕

author's note: you guys i realized that i used their real names not stage names, so:

hyeon - honnie

apsara - sara

da-eun - bae

chunhwa - mae

xue - jia

hachi - xiao

"unnie, are you actually cooking something other than instant ramen for us?" hachi asks excitedly, smelling something cooking in the kitchen as she comes into the dorm.

da-eun carefully places down a pot of tteokguk on the table while hyeon is frantically frying samgyeopsal for dinner. she and da-eun had left practice early to prepare a little surprise party for chunhwa.

"shhh, we're trying not to let chunhwa realize we're having a surprise party," worries apsara.

"hyeon, these are pretty good," says xue from her perch on the counter where she is eating a piece of samgyeopsal. 

"hey!" shouts hyeon indignantly. "those are for the party!"

"what party?" wonders chunhwa, wandering into the room after having been alerted by the commotion.

"nothing!" shouts hazel as she pushes her out of the room, trying not to let her see the surprise.

"ah, okay," says chunhwa from behind the door, a bit nervous as to why she was kicked out of the room.

about half an hour later, when hyeon finishes frying the samgyeopsal (da-eun bought almost a pound too much, their manager was going to be mad), the seven members welcome chunhwa into the dining area, where she is greeted with a surprise.

yuka prepared a banner proclaiming in fancy script, "WE'RE COMPLETE!"

suprised, chunhwa covers her mouth in shock. "you guys... this is so sweet! is this why da-eun and hyeon left practice early?"

"come on, everyone, sit down! this is supposed to be a party!" hyeon announces loudly. "we didn't cook for hours for nothing!"

"we didn't get any gifts?" asks yuka confusedly, only having managed to translate the party bit.

the eight girls take seats around the table to eat the meal. but before, chunhwa stands up.

"i'd like to say something, if that's okay with you guys..." she says shyly.

"um, i know i haven't always been the best about this whole hidden member thing and my mood has sometimes dragged the group down a bit, and i shouldn't have taken it out on you guys. you're the best friends i could ever ask for..." chunhwa tells the group. "let's eat!"

after the filling dinner (which their manager was not happy about), the girls are sitting around apsara's computer while watching movies.

hazel's phone begins to ring, blasting Oooooooo ʲᵃᵐᵏᵏᵃⁿᵐᵃⁿ ʲᵃᵐᵏᵏᵃⁿᵐᵃⁿ into the otherwise peaceful atmosphere.

xue and hachi immediately reenact the dance while hazel nearly trips in her rush to grab her phone.

"where is it?" she asks frantically, "where - where - has anyone seen my phone?"

"why are you freaking out so much unnie?" asks yuka, confused.

"that's my special ringtone for jihyo! we became friends over having such long trainee periods!" hazel announces, still searching.

"wait... is this it?" asks da-eun, picking up a phone off the counter.

"yes! pick it up!" shouts hazel.

da-eun answers the face time, to reveal twice cheering on the camera.

"congratulations you guys! we're so happy for you!" jihyo says.

"i've seen your choreo for the nightmare concept, it looks so good!" jeongyeon gushes from the background.

"we're looking forward to your debut, good luck you guys! we'll be cheering you on!" nayeon says.

"ah... thank you so much!" hyeon says, bowing off camera before realizing they can't see her.

"i stream feel special every-" da-eun begins before the call ends.

"that was so sweet of them," yuka says, smiling brightly. "i wonder what's their secret to looking so pretty all the time?"

"i wish i knew," hazel says. "you guys, it's getting late, we should probably head back to our dorm before manager-nim sends someone after us!"

"only 6 days until debut..." says apsara softly. six more days until their dreams were either made, or destroyed...
