Another update is finally out! I appreciate that you worry about me, and I want to thank you for continuing to read this book. With constant classes and work, writers block and my immune system, as well as poor mental health all hanging up on me, it's been pretty hard to find the time to write. Don't worry though, I'm still going to write for this book, just not an update every week like I used to. Anyway, this chapter is a special chapter because I was getting burnt out, so here you are. See you at the next update! <3

Total Word Count: 3782

!𝑻𝑾!: 𝑴𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒉𝒐𝒃𝒊𝒂 𝒐𝒇 𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔, 𝒔𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒍𝒚 𝒔𝒖𝒔𝒔𝒚 𝒌𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒆, 𝒈𝒂𝒚 𝒃𝒆𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒐𝒓

Fun facts ! :

The reason all of the quotes and songs I use are sad is because I created this fanfic when my mental health was low.

The part of (Y/N)'s backstory where she loses the two friends she had known for years, and then loses all of her other friends due to rumors is actually inspired from my life. I lost all of my friends earlier this January.

The Book with the star on the front of it, introduced in Chapter 2, plays a big role in this story.

If you read carefully, you'll notice that some of the previous chapters have foreshadowing.

"I'll never smile again

Until I smile at you

I'll never laugh again

What good would it do?

For tears would fill my eyes

My heart would realize

That our romance is through

I'll never love again

I'm so in love with you

I'll never thrill again

To somebody new

Within my heart

I know I will never start

To smile again

Until I smile at you

Within my heart

I know I will never start

To smile again

Until I smile at you."

You had woken up next to Anne, a routine you started not too long ago. Being in a completely new world surrounded by otherworldly creatures was far from comforting.

When you sleep next to Anne, you get less nightmares.

Overall, Anne's presence made you feel safer, even if she could be reckless from time to time.

Searching through your backpack, you grabbed the book with the large star and gold accents on the front.

Since you had nothing planned for today, you decided to investigate this book. Because something about it just felt wrong.

As you flipped through the book, a photo fell out from between two pages.

Upon looking at the photo, you immediately felt a sense of nostalgia. It was a photo from the time you and the trio went to a popular theme park.

Your smile was full of sadness. 'I remember that day..'

It was a day before you were teleported to Amphibia when you had nothing to worry about except what rides to go on and what food to buy.

....

...

..

.

"(Y/N), dear, it's time to wake up!"

Your mother opened the door to your room, interrupting your sleep.

You grumbled and rolled over, ignoring her in favor of going back to dreamland.

She frowned at your defiance and snatched the blanket off of you.

"I know you don't want to get up, but to take your meds you have to."

With a groan, you slowly pulled yourself up and rubbed the sleep out of your eyes.

"There we go. It's time to get up, (Y/N). You didn't forget about your plans did you?"

You sat and stared at her in confusion, eyes still blurry from waking up.

"What are you talking about?"

Your mother gave you a look that read, 'Are you serious?'

A few moments passed before it hit you.

"The theme park!"

You jumped out of bed with an excited grin, almost falling, as your mother laughed at your late reaction.

Running to your closet, you picked out the outfit you had prepared the previous day.

Pulling out the pretty summer dress, (or anything you'd like to wear instead), you bolted into the bathroom to change.

Mentally squealing, you freshen up, overly excited to see your friends.

You grab your favorite accessories, put on some sweet-smelling body spray and light makeup, and run out of the bathroom.

A goofy grin was plastered across your face as you twirled around in excitement.

Your mother, who had been watching with amusement, walked up to you and placed something in your hair.

Confused by her sudden actions, you raised an eyebrow and looked into a nearby mirror. She had placed a lily in your hair.

"You look beautiful, dear."

She looks at you with admiration, proud of how far you have come.

Your excited attitude softens for a moment, a genuine smile graced your features. Fighting back the creeping emotions, you turn around and give her a hug, to which she returns.

"Thank you."

Despite having the look that she wanted to say more, she didn't.

Deciding it was probably a good time to get going, you let go of the hug and went downstairs.

'What should I have for breakfast... Wait... Should I even eat breakfast?'

You contemplated for a few seconds before deciding to eat a pop-tart.

Stuffing it into your mouth haphazardly, you grabbed your purse and rushed over to the front door in a hurry.

Opening the door, you yell, "Bye mom!"

"Goodbye Sweetheart! Don't stay out too late!"

You roll your eyes playfully and begin making your way to the theme park.

It was bright and sunny outside, and a nice breeze was present.

You closed your eyes for a moment to appreciate the cool air around you. A small smile etched its way onto your features.

As you weren't paying attention to where you were walking, you bumped into someone, sending you both tumbling to the floor.

In surprise, you open your eyes and immediately begin to apologize, only to freeze when you realize who it was you bumped into.

"Marcy?"

There sat the dark-haired girl you had grown to be extremely fond of, a Nintendo Switch lying on the ground next to her as she fought back dizziness.

'Is it just me or am I getting Deja Vu?'

"Oh my gosh! Are you okay?!"

You reached your hand out to help her up and she finally looked at you. Her pupils expanded and a light blush coated her cheeks.

"(Y/N)?"

When she didn't take your hand, you crouched and grabbed it softly.

"Are you alright? I'm so sorry for running into you, again. I wasn't paying attention."

Marcy looked flustered as she shook her head. "No! Uh- I mean- It was my fault! And yes- I'm okay!"

She struggled to form a sentence as she avoided eye contact.

This caused you to panic even more. Did you cause her to hit her head?

You held her face with your hand, inspecting for any injuries. "Did you hit your head? Do I need to take you to a doctor?"

She seemed to turn even redder at your actions.

"I-I'm fine! I promise!"

Marcy finally took your hand and stood up, causing you to sigh in relief.

"Are you sure?"

The worry you had for her was obvious. Marcy was already clumsy. One day you were afraid she might be too clumsy, and make a mistake that would cost her life.

She nodded vigorously and picked up her discarded game console. But instead of resuming the game she was playing, she intertwined her fingers with yours and smiled.

Now it was your turn to blush.

The outfit she was wearing was adorable and suited her skin tone beautifully. Her eyes were a vibrant emerald, and her hair a shiny black that reminded you of the night.

You forced yourself to not stare, worried about making it awkward.

'Why have I been feeling so different recently? Marcy's my friend! It's probably that I'm just appreciating her beauty. Yeah...'

"Should we continue heading to the theme park?"

Her voice almost startled you out of your gay thoughts.

Nodding, you started walking forward, Marcy following behind.

And you totally didn't notice the way she looked at you, or how she held your hand, or how she would drop her games when you spoke to her, or even the little sparks you got when she smiled at you.

Yeah...you totally didn't notice...

✧˖°ʚ🍓ɞ♡

Eventually the two of you had made it to the theme park. Of course not without Marcy tripping a few times. To be honest, you thought it was cute.

Stopping at the gates, you look at the park in awe. You had never been to a theme park before, so this was a completely new experience.

Marcy looked just as excited.

You swore you were just excited for the park a minute ago, but you can't seem to stop staring at the girl next to you.

Two voices and a tap on your shoulder interrupted your thoughts.

'Wow. This has happened twice already today. I need to stop zoning out.'

You turned your head to see who was behind you, when you spotted Sasha and Anne.

If your jaw could have fallen from its hinges, it would.

They were gorgeous.

Sasha was wearing a red outfit that brought out her curves and muscles (yes she has muscles and you can't tell me otherwise) and Anne was wearing a blue outfit that brought out her caramel-colored skin and curly hair.

Since when did you get so lucky? You were surrounded by three beautiful girls and other people at the park seemed to agree with you.

However, you didn't notice the admiring stares people were giving you and the light blush that covered your friend's faces...

"Hey (Y/N)! You look amazing!"

You smiled, "Thanks, Sasha. You look even better. "

She blushed and removed her hand from your shoulder, giving you some space.

The moment Sasha stepped to the side, Anne ran up to you and tackled you in a hug. Stumbling, you laughed and wrapped your arms around her, returning the gesture. However, you didn't notice the looks Sasha and Marcy were giving Anne.

Anne only smirked and hugged you tighter, going as far as to move her arms to your waist.

A light blush appeared on your face. I mean, who wouldn't blush when being hugged by a pretty woman?

Reluctantly, Anne let go, snickering at the jealous looks she received from the other two.

Sasha broke the silence, an obvious tick mark on her face. "How about we go look around? We can go in groups and meet back up later."

You nodded, "Sure, I don't see why not."

Before you could even blink, Sasha had wrapped her arm in yours and began running in another direction. You waved at Anne and Marcy before you disappeared along with Sasha.

'Well, someones enthusiastic.'

A smile grew on your face as you giggled at her slightly childish behavior.

You had eventually come to a stop, turning to look at Sasha. "What should we do first?"

When you looked at her, Sasha got butterflies. Of course, she knew what it meant, but she didn't know why. You were her friend! She shouldn't be feeling this way, but... every time you look at her with that smile, your beautiful eyes glimmering with joy (She could stare at them for hours), your shiny, soft hair framing your face, which seemed to always glow, how could she not? Not to mention your soft lips- oh how badly she wanted to just lean in-

Sasha snapped out of her trance when you waved your hand in front of her face.

"Sasha? Are you okay? You were zoned out."

Right. She was daydreaming about kissing you... when she was right next to you. The tip of her ears turned red in embarrassment. (She had no clue you were feeling the same way about her)

"Yes I'm fine. I was just thinking about what we should do first."

That didn't convince you, but you nodded anyway.

"How about we go check out some of the shops first?"

She nodded, and you took your hand and hers and led her to the first shop you saw.

It was a cute jewelry shop.

At the sight of the small trinkets, you already had an idea.

'I should buy matching bracelets for me and Sasha.'

When Sasha became distracted looking at jewelry, you looked around for matching bracelets.

A cute pair caught your eye. One bracelet was red, and the other was your favorite color. Each bracelet had half of a heart charm dangling from the band.

You grabbed the bracelets and snuck up to the front to purchase them.

'Hopefully Sasha will like it.'

Making your way back over to Sasha, you snuck up behind her, noticing the way she was looking onward, seemingly looking for you.

Without warning, you wrapped your arms around her waist and hugged her tightly, burying your face into her neck.

Sasha jumped in surprise.

Luckily for you, she decided against kicking who was behind her, realizing that it wasn't a stranger, just you.

"Found anything yet?"

At the sound of your voice, which she loved, Sasha smiled.

"Nope. What about you?"

You giggled and shook your head, leaning further onto Sasha, melting from the warmth she radiated.

"Why don't we go visit another shop then?"

The grin on your face widened, and you reluctantly let go of Sasha, grabbing her hand and excitedly pulling her to another shop.

As Sasha kept up with your excitement, she looked at how overjoyed you were. Her heart began to beat faster, and her eyes softened as she looked at you with a look that could only be described as love.

Even if she was just your friend, Sasha was glad she felt this way toward you. Now all she had to do was find a way to tell you...

(After I finished writing this I realized we met Violet a few days before being transported to Amphibia, so just pretend we met her before then.)

After walking around a few shops, you decided to go look for the others.

Before you were able to leave, Sasha asked you to meet her at the Ferris wheel at sunset and went off to do something else.

Walking around the bustling theme park in search of your other friends, you spotted a familiar face.

"Violet?"

The woman turned to face you, immediately smiling when she recognized you.

"Oh, It's you! (Y/N) right?"

You grinned. "Yep. The one and only."

"I figured. It's hard not to recognize someone so beautiful."

The comment made you blush, pink rising to your cheeks.

"Anyway, what brings you here?"

"I'm here with some friends. Though I can't seem to find them..."

Violet raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Is that so? In the meantime, why don't you come to get some ice cream with me then? It's on me."

"Really?"

She nodded and linked her arm with yours as a grin appeared on her face. Without warning, Violet began directing you towards an ice cream stand.

It was small and simple but had a wide variety of flavors.

Violet chose strawberry and vanilla ice cream and you chose your favorite flavors.

Savoring the smooth taste of the ice cream, you sat down at a table across from Violet.

"You know. I wish you would visit the cafe more often."

"Wait- you do?"

Violet seemed surprised at your confusion.

"Of course. Why wouldn't I? You're an amazing person to hang out with."

You blushed and rubbed the back of your neck, flustered.

"Thank you..."

She smiled and waved her hand, "Don't mention it."

A few more moments had passed, and you had finished your ice cream. Now you and Violet were just walking around the park.

As you were talking to Violet, arms sneakily wrapped around your waist, startling you and stopping you in your tracks.

Violet stopped to look at you confused, as you looked to see who the perpetrator was.

"Marcy?"

"Hey (Y/N)! I was wondering if you wanted to come

play some arcade games with me?"

You looked back up at Violet, waiting to see how she would respond. As you did so, the grip on your waist tightened.

(Jealous Marcy? 😏)

Smirking, Violet nodded. "Go have fun. I'll see you later (Y/N)."

As she turned to walk away, she blew you a kiss, making sure Marcy saw.

Your face turned red, embarrassed at the sudden action.

Marcy frowned, releasing the grip on your waist and taking your hand in hers.

Noticing her expression, you raised her hand and placed a small kiss on it.

Blushing, Marcy returned to stuttering and tripping over herself.

You laughed at her antics

She guided you to an arcade, and you took turns playing games you enjoyed.

✧˖°ʚ🍓ɞ♡

You had played games with Marcy for a while and used the tickets you earned to buy a set of matching jewelry for the two of you.

A green ring and a ring in your favorite color.

Deciding to be sneaky, you walked up to Marcy and quickly placed the green ring on her ring finger.

(Yes, that finger on purpose.)

She blushed at the implications.

You placed your ring on your ring finger as well.

A while had passed and you decided to take another stroll around the park.

You would have said goodbye to Marcy, but she was in her own world, sucked into a game.

It was later now, only an hour or two away from sunset, and you enjoyed the breeze as you strolled around the theme park.

As you were walking around, a hand grabbed yours suddenly, and you jumped in surprise.

'What's with people scaring me today?'

You turned to look at whoever grabbed your hand, smiling when you realized it was Anne.

"Hey Anne."

"(Y/N)! I was looking for you forever!"

"You were? I'm sorry-"

Anne cut you off, "No worries! Come with me, I want to show you something."

You allowed Anne to drag you wherever eventually ending up at what looked to be one of those stands where you earn prizes.

"Watch this."

Anne grabbed a racket, and hit a ball directly into a bullseye.

You clapped your hands together impressed.

"Wow, you're awesome at those. You're amazing, Anne!"

She blushed at your compliment.

Anne took this as an opportunity to show off again, hitting the target directly every time.

You stood next to her, smiling.

"How is your aim so good?"

"I'm on the tennis varsity team."

"Cool! I used to play sports too."

Grabbing a small cat plush, Anne handed it to you, a blush present on her face.

"Here. I won it for you."

The plush had brown fur and hazel eyes, and super soft fur. It reminded you of the beautiful girl standing right next to you...

You blush softly and take something out of the shopping bag you're holding.

It's a blue necklace, matching the one you had bought earlier, that was currently situated around your neck.

Placing it around Anne's neck, she looked surprised at the gift you had given her.

"I saw this necklace and thought of you, and it matches mine. I understand if you don't like it-"

Before you could finish your sentence, Anne tackled you in a bear hug.

"I LOVE IT!!"

You giggled and returned the favor, enjoying the warmth of her skin, and the sweet smell she gave off.

"I'm glad."

✧˖°ʚ🍓ɞ♡

(Warning: If you're uncomfortable with kissing, I'd advise you to not read this part. Also, this part isn't exactly canon, I just wanted to write something extra to make up for the lack of updates. This is a bit sussy, so if you're under the age of 14, I wouldn't recommend reading.)

The sun had begun setting as you made your way over to the Farris wheel.

You spotted Sasha standing beside the line.

"Hey, Sasha."

She turned to look at you, smiling as you approached her.

"I'm happy you could make it cutie."

You rolled your eyes playfully to ward off the blush threatening to appear on your face.

With a giggle, you took her open hand in yours. "The pleasure is mine."

Sasha led you up the stairs into the capsule, (Idk what these box things are called) and sat down next to you.

You smiled and brought her hand closer to you as the Ferris wheel began moving.

The sunset was beautiful, and from this height, you were able to see the entire city.

You took out your phone to take a few photos, before putting it away.

Everything was going smoothly until you got to the very top.

With a sudden jerk, the Ferris wheel stopped moving, startling you and Sasha.

Having a fear of heights was definitely not helpful for a time like now.

You began to panic, gripping Sasha's hand a little tighter.

She seemed to notice your nervousness and decided to wrap you in a hug.

"Everythings gonna be okay. I'm sure we'll get down soon."

Taking her words into consideration, you nodded and calmed down.

As she pulled away from the hug, her hand lingered on your wrist.

Sasha ran her thumb against the matching bracket you had on, sending tingles down your spine.

Her normal smirk was gone, replaced by a genuine smile.

Your heart began to beat faster, and everything else around you became drowned out.

She cupped your chin with her hand, hesitating slightly, before leaning in and kissing you on the lips.

'Oh my god Oh my god Oh my god Oh my god Oh my god-'

Your eyes fluttered closed, sparks ignited from her soft touch.

There was room to break away, but the thing is, you had no desire to.

You leaned into the kiss, reciprocating the romantic gesture.

Sasha licked the fruit-flavored gloss on your lips, making you gasp.

The Ferris wheel had finally begun to move again, causing you to fall backwards onto the bench.

Yet, that didn't stop Sasha, as she kept on, moving with you and putting a leg in between yours, causing your face to turn even redder than it already was.

Before she could take a step further, the door to the capsule you were in was opened and someone cleared their throat.

Sasha turned her head to see who interrupted you with a glare.

They sweated nervously and stepped away as Sasha removed her leg from in between yours and guided you out of the Ferris wheel.

Your legs felt like they were made of jelly, your hair messy and your face red, tinted lip gloss smeared on your and Sasha's face.

The two of you had made it to the front entrance where Anne and Marcy were waiting for you.

They were shocked at you and Sasha's disheveled appearance.

You blushed and looked away at their gazes.

Unbeknownst to you, they were both having a staring contest with Sasha.

Don't worry. They'll find a way to get Sasha back.

✧˖°ʚ🍓ɞ♡

You ran into your room with a face that resembled a tomato. Throwing your bags down and flinging yourself onto your bed, you squealed and rolled around.

'I can't believe that just happened!! And someone saw it too?! Why would she do that? I'm not complaining- but isn't that way too forward?! She must've just been experimenting...yeah... that's it, she probably just wanted to know what it was like...'

The entire time you had been gay panicking, your mother had been standing at your doorway with a knowing smirk, almost having a heart attack when she saw your messy appearance.

✧˖°ʚ🍓ɞ♡

"It's sad because everyone turns out exactly how they promised they never would."
