Never Leaving Again ~ L•Laufeyson

Yes ik another Loki one, this one was originally written for my friend and includes a couple inside jokes so you may be a wee bit confused and it may sound weird at times as the character was originally based on her but I changed it to make it x reader instead!

Btw the kid is called Dorian cause me and Kirsten are obsessed with Dorian Gray and Ben Barnes (if you wanna join our cult you're welcome to)

Anyways hope you still enjoy!

If Loki had known the price, he would have to pay for attacking New York, he would never have even considered it. He could imagine y/n's face when she had been told the 'news.' They couldn't risk it, if she knew that Loki had survived the battle there would be no force on earth powerful enough to withhold her. She was formidable, and Odin knew that she would have stopped at nothing for her love to return.

Loki sneered behind the intricate emerald mask that clung tightly to his pale skin, the persistent sounds of chains rattling echoed through the marble walls of the palace as he was led to where his 'father' sat.

There, upon a decadent golden throne sat Odin, a condescending smirk concealed behind the thick beard that adorned his wrinkled face. He remained leisurely in his posture as he watched his son be dragged through the room, chains following him in shining trails of obsidian.

The guards forcefully ripped the mask from him, ignoring how he grimaced in pain as his skin peeled from the metal gag. His face was proud, eyes gleaming with unrelenting sadistic pleasure. His sable curls fell in front of his face as he peered up at his father, sending a fake smile towards his mother.

"Loki, please" Frigga begged, her eyes watering as she gazed at her child. Loki smirked, relishing in his father's piercing glare, the disgust that shone behind the cruel oceans within only adding to the ever-burning inferno that was blazing inside the young god.

"Enough" Odin spoke, his voice deep and regal as it boomed, Loki rolled his eyes and with a disdainful grin brought his gaze back unto the man. He readjusted his slouching posture, arms still bound behind his back as he regained composure and began to speak again.

"Have I made you proud, father?" he sneered as he said the final words, releasing an inhumane growl as Odin sat up in his throne, intricate jewels gleaming in the newfound sun light.

"Do you have any idea what you have done? How many people you have mindlessly slaughtered in a fruitless search for power?" He watched as Loki released a pitiful chuckle, shaking his head slowly as he looked down at the ground.

"I care not for the mortals, they were simply a pawn in my game, one day they shall worship me as their god" Loki spoke proudly, flashing a devilishly handsome smile.

"See Loki, that is where you are wrong. We know you do care for the mortals, especially the girl" Loki's face paled exponentially as he listened to Odin, he had been so careful to hide his love in fear of this happening.

"Don't you dare harm her! She has done nothing, kill me, but do not harm her" he pleaded in a desperate tone, heart thumping rapidly in his chest as fear flowed through his veins.

"But she has done wrong, she will be continuing your legacy, passing on the name 'Laufeyson'" Odin grimaced as he shook his head slowly, distain evident in his features.

"Your beloved mortal is with child" Loki choked on a gasp, his stoic expression faltering as he collapsed to his knees. He mumbled incoherent, delirious whispers as he felt tears well in his viridian gaze.

"Please, I beg you father, do not harm either of them" crystal rivers silently flowed down the ghostly pale skin, staining its pale canvas a raw, biting scarlet that stung in the cool breeze.

"I do not wish to harm neither her or the child, but you, dear boy, need to be punished for your crimes" Frigga released a shaky sob as she took in her husband's words, she hadn't known that the mortal was with child, and now, she had to steal the baby from a life without its father, just as her and Odin had done all those years ago.

"Odin, please, there must be a way he can see his child" she queen begged, her cerulean dress trailing after her as she slowly approached him. Odin's harsh features softened as he gazed at his love, he considered mercy for a moment, but as Loki sobbed inwardly, releasing an agonizing scream that shattered the glass windows, he realized just how devilish the boy was.

He was too powerful for any world, dangerous and sinful in his intentions and the only way to relinquish his control would be to break him down to nothing. Crumble each and every wall until he was but a shell, a ghost that Odin could reform into a new man.

"Take him to his cell" he waved dismissively as the guards regained their grasp upon the now screaming god, his throat burning as he bellowed and wailed. His thin frame tossed and turned in the armor adorned men's hold, occasionally slipping from their grip only to be yanked backwards by the chain that hung tightly around his throat.

Frigga held back tears as she watched her son cry, witnessed as the Angel fell, wings ripped from his back, now destined to become a martyr that would bring hell fire down upon the world.

Loki stared blankly at the walls, raucous cheering sounding from his Neighbour cells. The stark white of the stone burned his eyes with its purity, the harsh light bouncing off its gleaming surface and casting the broken man in a pearlescent glow.

His silence was broken by a sudden gasp, he didn't need to turn to know who stood at the other side of the wrecked room.

His mother, if he could even call her that, slowly approached. Her feet padding softly against the marble, sighs fleeing her lips as she stepped over the flowing pools of blood, demolished chairs, and torn clothes.

"Loki, dear" Frigga whispered, cradling her sons face with her petal soft touch. She frowned when she saw his face. Deep amethyst painted under his eyes, his once silken raven locks reduced to ragged tendrils, chest littered in sporadic lashings, crimson weeping slowly down his porcelain skin.

"Is she okay?" He spoke meekly, throat torn from his incessant shouting.

"Why don't you see for yourself" Frigga slowly raised her right hand, within her grasp was an intricate silver mirror, snakes coiled around the handle and delicate crystals littered the bridge of the glass.

As Loki raised it, he wasn't met with his gruesome appearance though. Shining back, in bright colors, was Y/n.

Her h/c hair still danced elegantly upon her shoulders, skin sun kissed and painted in deep rouge. But there was something different, her eyes had changed. The once wide, innocent, and excitable e/c eyes had been dulled and darkened, as if casted in an unrelenting shadow.

"Is that who I think it is?" Loki questioned, tears welling in his eyes as he watched Y/n pick up a small toddler. The young boy's hair sat in identical onyx curls, skin fair and ghostly. Loki gave a bitter-sweet smile as he watched his love play with the small boy, his heart aching to be alongside them, feel her loving touch one last time.

"That's your son, he's no more than two years old now" Loki frowned as he listened, had he really been gone that long?

"What's his name?" he diverted his gaze back to the pair, chuckling for the first time in years as he watched the young boy squeal and giggle with joy at his mother's antics.

"Dorian, Dorian Laufeyson" Frigga spoke as she too watched the family, pity filling her eyes as she looked at her darling son, how broken he truly was.

"Y/n and her friend never did shut up about that book, it was rather worrying how obsessed the pair were with that 'Ben Barnes' man" He spoke with a genuine yet sorrowful smile, he could still remember the day he walked into Y/n and y/f/n shared apartment, the melancholy music of a singer named 'Lana Del Ray' playing quietly from their record player. He had heard loud laughter coming from the kitchen, along with exaggerated groans as they spoke amongst themselves. Loki had quickly approached when he heard Y/n let out a shrill screech.

As he burst through the door, panic flooding him, he nearly screamed when his eyes locked with the that of another man. Loki stood for a moment before releasing a relieved sigh, he chuckled dryly as he approached a six-foot-tall picture of Ben Barnes. Y/n and Y/f/n were wheezing with laughter as Loki inspected the cardboard cutout; confusion etched on his face as he turned to look at them with raised brows.

"What is this doing here? And why are you on your knees?" he questioned innocently, eyes widening as y/f/n let out an involuntary snort before lying on the ground, crippled with laughter. Y/n quickly joined, the pair rolling around on the grey tiled floor as they clutched their stomachs amidst the hilarity.

"He's our god, we were praying" The pair spoke simultaneously, Loki gazed around the messy kitchen, sweets, energy drinks and biscuits littered the bunker causing him to scowl. He grimaced as he picked up the neon blue liquid, the bottle almost empty and its cap long gone.

"I am the only god she is allowed to get on her knees for" He spoke as he smelled the sickly-sweet drink, laughing quietly as Y/n and Y/f/n burst into loud giggling.

Loki grinned at the memory, the ache in his chest relieving for a moment as he reminisced in his old life. Frigga was smiling with him, having delved into his mind for a moment as he relived the moment.

"Does she know where I am?" his tone had turned solemn, a frown deeply set upon his angelic features. Frigga exhaled deeply, looking at Loki sympathetically.

"When you first came home, Odin ordered Thor to tell Y/n that you had passed. She doesn't know you are alive, or that you are here" Loki released a shaky breath, his eyes turning crystalline as tears brimmed behind them.

"S-she thinks, she thinks I-I-I'm dead" he spoke in a frantically, shooting up from his spot on the ground to begin pacing back and forth around his destroyed cell. Bare feet padding against the stick ground as he ran a shaking hand through his rugged curls. Loki's breathing grew labored as twilight dots danced in his vision, his head surged with agony, wave after wave of unspeakable grief washed over him like dangerous tidal waves that threatened to drown him with their intensity.

"Loki, are you well?" Frigga rushed to her son's side as he crumbled to the floor. The boy screamed shamelessly, unbothered by just how piercing his wails were as they filled the dungeons.

"I need to see her. Please, just let me see her, you will never have to hear from me again. Just let me be with her, a-and my son."

--//--

Y/n hummed softly to herself, dancing around the flat carelessly with a thick blanket draped over her shoulders. She could hear Dorian playing in the living room as she sat next door in the kitchen, she gripped a mug of hot chocolate tightly in her hands, hissing quietly when the scolding china burned her fingertips through the fabric of her blanket.

A loud, frantic knock at the door pulled Y/n from her short daze, her eyes shot towards the hall as she released her grip on the mug. She could hear her sons excited footsteps as he bolted ahead of her, eager to see what caused the noise. Y/n was utterly confused, she had barely spoken to anyone since Loki's death, having locked herself in the house and only ever left when necessary.

"coming!" she called as the knocking repeated, impatient pacing could be heard from behind the door, heavy boots thumping against the concrete. Just as another knock was about to resound Y/n pulled the door open, her skin paled as she quickly grew dizzy.

"L-Loki?" She questioned, rubbing her eyes, and tearing up when he remained there. His skin was painted with deep violet and ebony bruises, rose petal lips torn and stained with previously shed crimson tears.

"Hello, my love" Loki spoke, chest heaving with each nervous breath. His thin hands trembled by his sides as he watched Y/n process what was happening, her eyes were wide, and her legs were wavering in strength. Before she could collapse, a sweet giggle filled the air as Dorian ran hazardously towards the door.

Loki let out a quiet sob as he kneeled to look at the boy, it was if he was seeing himself as a child once again, the resemblance was unmistakable.

"Papa?" he questioned as a precious pout formed on his thin lips, Dorian gazed curiously up at his mother, frowning at the tears that ran relentlessly down her face. Y/n nodded with a genuine yet confused smile, still unable to comprehend what was happening.

Dorian turned towards Loki, almost inspecting him for a moment before rushing forward and wrapping his small arms around his father's neck. The god smiled widely as he held the boy, lifting his small frame up and spinning around in the air as the toddler giggled in glee.

"H-how? Thor, he told me you died" Y/n watched the father and son in awe, mouth agape as she shook her head with a disbelieving laugh.

"I will explain later, for now, just let me hold my wife" Y/n hid her scarlet flushed face in his neck as she wrapped her arms tightly around his waist, the god kneeled slightly to accommodate her shorter height, digging his nose deep within the hair upon her head, the comforting smell of chocolate and old books washing over his senses and melting away all the tension he had previously held in his body.

"I'm never leaving you again".
