We walk up to this large yacht that I wouldn't be able to afford in a million years. My mouth is agape admiring the beauty in front of us and I'm not the only one. Tanya's boyfriend Roby is also admiring the large boat in front of us.

"You two gentlemen think it's beautiful out here, just wait until you see on board," Jose pats our backs and follows behind the ladies.

"Hey, we haven't been formally introduced, I'm Roby," he puts his hand out and I shake it.

"Nice to meet you, I'm-" I start but get beat to the punch.

"You're Jamie. Paulina and Sofia have talked a lot about you, mostly about the fact you're in the Marine Corps. Thank you for your service," Roby adds and I smile at him.

We navigate our way on the yacht towards where the girls have all decided to lounge out.

"Jamie, come over here," Paulina waves me over and I head towards her.

"What's up?" I sit down on a laid out towel and put my flip flops in the bag Sofia brought.

"Can you grab us a drink?" Paulina beams at me and I roll my eyes.

"Really? I thought you were going to include me in your girl talk," I hop up and head towards the bar not too far away.

"Hey big bro, have fun last night?" Kim elbows my side and I push her away. I reach over the counter and grab two cold cans of some drink that looks suitable for Paulina and Tanya.

"Nothing happened last night," I open a bottle of water for myself.

"Did you get the ring?" She whispers and I feel in my board shorts and hold it.

"God, she's been waiting for this since you guys were kids," my sister gushes and I quickly grab the ring.

We head back to where Paulina and Tanya are sitting, and I hand them each a can of something that would make me nauseous.

"Thanks! Kim, what's new?" Pau asks as Kim takes the towel I was about to sit down on.

"Nothing really, just messing with my older brother," she looks up at me and I flip her off.

"What should we be teasing Jamie about today? Him practically being mush whenever Sofia's around?" Paulina looks at me and I move my hand towards her to flip her off too.

"You two are the worst," I drink from the water bottle as the girls laugh.

"You love us, otherwise you wouldn't ask us for advice on how to ask Sofia to marry you," Kim says nonchalantly and I nearly kick her.

"Kim, seriously?" I rub my face and close my eyes.

"What did I miss?" Sofia's voice startles me.

"Nope, just us bothering Jamie. The usual," Paulina smirks at me and I grit my teeth.

"Sof, do you want to see the back of the yacht?" I take her hand and we head away from everyone.

"Jamie slow down," Sofia giggles and we make it to the back of the yacht. I let go of Sofia's hand and stare off at the water moving away behind us.

"Hey, you okay?" Sofia takes my hand and I turn to face her.

"Sof, I have something I have to tell you," I take a deep breath and reach into my free pocket.

"I know we're very different than when we were kids, but you're still the sweetest, most caring girl I fell in love with," we smile at each other and before I can continue my phone rings.

"You should take that," Sof gestures towards my pocket and I step away. The words being said to me make my whole world come crashing down. I hang up the phone and turn around. Sofia's face falls to a frown and I feel my palms becoming clammy.

"Jay, what's wrong?" Sofia steps closer to me, placing her hands on either side of my face.

"My unit is getting called back to Ukraine. It's getting worse and they need more feet on the ground," I can't bare to look at Sofia but she's moving my head to force my eyes on her.

"But I just got you back," she whispers and when I finally look down at her, tears are slowly sliding down her face. I wipe a tear along her cheek.

I pull her into my arms and kiss the top of her head. I was ready to give this girl my heart and soul, but the world constantly finds a way to stop it from happening.

After Sofia and I had our moment alone, I told the rest of our friends and family about me needing to be on the next plane back to Ukraine to meet up with my unit.

Once the yacht pulled up to the dock, Sofia and I wasted no time running to Paulina's car to rush back to my family's house to pack.

We grab my things and throw them into my duffle. I grab my main uniform and go into the bathroom to change. When I come back out, Sofia is sitting on the edge of my bed holding an old sweatshirt from my closet.

"You can keep that one," I gesture towards the sweatshirt and it catches Sofia's attention.

"Listen Sof," I kneel down in front of her and she grabs my collar. I close the distance between us and can't help the feeling running through my body. I have no clue when I'm coming home again so it's now or never.

I start to come off the floor and Sofia scoots her body further back on my bed. I rest my hands on either side of Sofia's head and look down at her.

"Are you sure?" I ask and without hesitation Sofia pulls my dog tags to bring my body closer to hers.

"I am yours and you are mine. Make love to me Jamie," she rasps in between kisses and warmth flows through my body.
