TWENTY-EIGHT | year 5
CAN WE ALWAYS BE THIS CLOSE FOREVER AND EVER?
The entire class are standing in a large circle around the Dummy, everyone's skills have improved, the students brandish their wands, happily sending it spinning back.
"Expelliarmus!" shouted Cassiopeia, making the Dummy's wand fly through the air and Cassiopeia grabbed it, "Stupefy!"
The Dummy went sprawling, and Cassiopeia smiled proudly at herself. Harry gave her a thumbs up and she smiled.

Cassiopeia has been trying her best to mislead the Inquisitorial squad, saying that she saw Ron walking into a wall in the sixth floor, and he was not alone. And it was just made up stories, it was annoying because she made herself look like a fool.
"Don't be absurd, Malfoy," spat Pansy as she turned around to walk away. Cassiopeia had to stop making herself look stupid, and she had an idea to lead them to watch the Room of Requirements open, so they would at least believe her, she couldn't do that, it's too risky.
Draco dragged Cassiopeia, and they both watched Luna walk inside the Room of Requirements, but Cassiopeia told him she couldn't see the door, so he did not have any proof that it did happen. Draco was going mad and Cassiopeia, well, she was tired of him.
Now, Draco and Cassiopeia weren't alone and it's harder to convince them that what they saw was fake.
Draco signals excitedly to Filch, who motions to Crabbe, Goyle and
Cassiopeia at other corners Filch signals now. They rush to the door, except for Cassiopeia who stood with a very bored look.
Her brother, Crabbe, Goyle and Filch went face first onto the brick wall. Cassiopeia laughed and they all glared at her.
They reported back to Umbridge who snapped so many pencils in anger. It was quite a wonderful scene to watch, Umbridge tried her best to remain as calm as possible and the Squad seems to be quite scared of her.
"I want you all to look harder!" said Umbridge, in a very high-pitched voice and its obvious that she's angry.
°°°
"Expelliarmus!" shouted Neville, a wand flies from Parvati's hand, clutters on the floor. Everyone went silent in disbelief, Neville looks up at Harry. "I-I did it!"
Everyone beamed, and they all cheer for Neville, some went to congratulate the boy. Harry is proud and Cassiopeia hugged Neville.
"Knew you could do it!" smiled Cassiopeia.
"T-Thanks," said Neville, shyly.
°°°
The Inquisitorial Squad has been a failure with finding what Harry and the others are up to. They've not found anything, even after many questioning and spying.
And it was mostly because of Cassiopeia who led them all to failure. The only thing the squad was good at was using the fact that they're closer to Umbridge to get what they want.
There has been nothing good going on at Hogwarts anymore, except for Dumbledore's Army. Hallways and corridors are always quiet, sometimes not filled with students anymore.
It didn't even feel like Hogwarts, Cassiopeia felt like she was at her Manor, always tired and bored. Thank goodness she's got friends here, well at least people she calls friends, she wasn't quite sure about them calling her a friend.
Cassiopeia knew it was the last day of the classes with Harry, it was indeed fun. So she brought along the scarf Harry had lent to her, but she always forgot to bring it because she was always in a rush!
Cassiopeia had no intentions going back to the Manor, since she knew it wouldn't feel like Christmas still. Usually she would spend her Christmas with Dobby, and he was the only one that made her feel happy during holidays.
Christmas decorations glint in the blue magic-hour light, Harry turns to catch the eye of Nigel, standing near the door with the Marauders Map, he gives Harry a thumbs up.
"All right, that's it for this time," spoke Harry and everyone turned their attention to him. "Now we won't be meeting again until after the holiday..."
There were disappointed groans that filled the room. Harry continued: "so keep working on your own as good as you can. But good work, everyone---really."
A spontaneous round of applauds as Harry turns pink; Hermione and Ron beam. As class breaks up students wish Harry "Happy Christmas."
Cassiopeia decided to stay to help clean up the room, before deciding to head back. She picked up cushions, and started picking up all the Dummy's and placing them all in the corner where they belong.
Cassiopeia turned and saw Harry speaking with Cho who is teary eyed. Cho smiled at Harry, and she said something to him before walking out of the room with her bag over her shoulder.
Cassiopeia approached Harry, who placed the cushions back in their places. "Hello, Professor Potter," she greeted, bowing.
Harry turned around and faced her, chuckling. "Need anything?"
"No," she said, sitting down on the small couch, and she smiled up at him. "So, umm, you and Cho, eh?"
Harry shook his head, before grabbing a book that was not in its right place and putting it on the small bookshelf. "No, I don't like her,"
What a relief---Cassiopeia thought.
"Do you like anyone, Cassiopeia?" Harry asked, Cassiopeia shrugged, not wanting to reply to that question.
"Hey do you remember last year when I accidentally walked in on you in the bathroom---" Cassiopeia didn't finish her sentence and Harry stopped her instantly.
"Uhh, yeah we do not talk about that," he cringed at the embarrassing memory, "We forget that ever happened, okay?"
"Good, good. Because I still get flashbacks," Cassiopeia shudders. Harry was putting all the books in the shelves and Cassiopeia watched as he pulled something out of it.
"What's that?" The girl asks, lifting a brow. It was a black radio." A radio? What's it doing there?"
"Dunno," said Harry, he clicks the buttons and music started playing, it was a calm music, and it is the kind of music people would dance to in a ball.
Cassiopeia leaned back to the couch, and she thought Harry will sit beside her, but he didn't. He walked towards her, and he held his hand out.
Cassiopeia lifted a brow at the boy, "What?"
"Well," started Harry, "You did tell me I owed you a dance, well get up, let's dance."
"Are you sure?" Cassiopeia asked, surveying him, "You're not a good dancer,"
Harry rolled his eyes and he grabbed Cassiopeia, she yelped when she was pulled to her feet.
Harry lead her in the middle of the room, he placed his hand on her waist and they both swayed.
At first, it was nice, they both followed the music, but then Harry, who didn't know how to dance, stepped on her foot.
"Ouch!" said Cassiopeia.
"Sorry!"
They both laughed and in the next few minutes they both danced crazily to the calm, waltzing music. Cassiopeia chuckled as Harry spun her around. They both stared at each other for a while and Cassiopeia snorted.
"You're a horrible dancer!" She laughed, as Harry spun her around once again.
The both of them looked so happy to be with each other, and she wanted to always be close to Harry. Their touch were like sparks and Harry had never felt this before.
As they both continued to dance, Cassiopeia had accidentally stepped on Harry's foot, and she almost fell.
She yelped, but Harry caught her. They both laughed, and didn't notice they were basically embracing each other.
The laughter died down, and both of them swayed to the music, Cassiopeia's head on his shoulder. They stopped and Cassiopeia looked up at him.
Their faces were inches away, and she could feel his breath. His green eyes were beautiful, and her eyes traveled from his eyes to his lips.
Harry looked at her, feeling his heart pounding against his chest. He saw her eyes look at his lips and he took that as a sign.
He pressed his lips against hers.
Cassiopeia, at first, was taken aback by his sudden action, but she did not pull away. Instead, she closed her eyes and kissed him back.
The world felt frozen, and she felt like the music had stopped. Harry's hand traveled to her waist, and he pulled her closer, and she did. Her hands went to his cheeks as her other hand ruffled his messy raven hair.
It was the best thing the both of them had ever felt in their lives.
It felt so short, but they were running out of breath. They both chuckled, and Cassiopeia had the widest smile ever. Then it was silence and the both of them just stared at each other, Cassiopeia's arm around his shoulders, and Harry's hands on her waist.
Then, they both let go.
"Well, umm, goodnight, Harry," said Cassiopeia, her pale skin so red.
"Goodnight, Cas," he replied. But before Cassiopeia walked away, Harry grabbed her hand.
"Well, umm, before you go---" Harry seemed to be struggling with his words. "Will you, umm...will you--?"
Cassiopeia smirked already knowing his question. "Of course, I would," she took out his scarf, and she placed his around his neck, "almost forgot about this,"
Harry smiled, and she placed a small kiss on his lips before walking away.
°°°
Harry sat in front of Hermione and Ron, who looked at him curiously, but Harry still had a stunned expression on his face.
"Well, how was it?" asked Ron.
"The best thing I've ever done," breathed Harry, smiling brightly.
"Cho must be feeling--" Hermione started, but Harry stopped her.
"I didn't kiss Cho," cut Harry. "I don't like her anymore,"
Hermione and Ron share a shocked face, "Then who?!" They both asked simultaneously.
"Cassiopeia," said Harry, another smile on his face.
"What?!" Ron and Hermione gaped.
"I didn't want to tell you guys, Ron has always been against her," said Harry, "I like her and I don't care whatever you guys have to say---"
"No, mate, we're proud that you did, I mean you kissed her!" said Ron, "I always saw both of you staring at each other with heart eyes!"
Hermione chuckled and Harry shook his head, grinning widely.
°°°
Meanwhile, Cassiopeia laid on her bed, making sure the surrounding hangings is closed, and she smiled so brightly.
She recalled the moment, and she hugged her pillow as she quietly shrieked happily. Butterflies were dancing around her stomach, and it was the best day ever.
