  A WEREWOLF & DEMENTORS

The sound of Draco's wailing about his broken nose reached her ears. She looked him with an annoyed look, lifting a brow as she places her pencil down.

"What in Merlin's beard happened to you?" She asked as Draco sat next to her.

"My nose broke," he replied, "because of that stupid Mudblood!"

     "Mmm...you deserve it," she smirked.

As she grabbed her pencil once again, staring at her previous drawing. Her eyebrows furrowed as she crumpled the paper and threw it on Draco's face. He narrowed his eyes at her, and she smiled at him before looking back at her paper.

"What on earth are you even doing?" He asked.

     "Drawing,"

"I didn't know you could draw,"

"Oh, brother," she looked at him with a small smile on her face. "You don't know a lot about me."

The girl stood up, walks up to her dorm room, where she sat on her bed. Pansy's chattering voice reached her ears. Cassiopeia turned to the girl, who's eyes were on her, a smirk on her face. Cassiopeia closed the curtains of her bed, only on the side where she can see Pansy, while the other remained open for her to see.

The sun has gone, the moon hidden behind the clouds. She continued to draw. Something on her mind is bugging her, an idea that she cannot explain. Her hand moved, not paying much attention to the bugging idea in her mind. The smooth strokes of the pencil, it looks like she's drawing...a tree?

She frowned, still continuing to draw. She drew a figure next to the tree, then the full moon and clouds. But she stopped, erasing the man and turning it into a wolf and a dog?

Cassiopeia stopped, tilting her head in thought. A wolf next to a tree that looks like the Whomping Willow. The full moon. A dog.

Then it strucked her, she looked out the window to see the full moon.

"Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god," the girl muttered, grabbing her shoes then her brown jacket, then her wand. She ties her hair up as she walked down the stairs, then out of the Common Room. She runs to Professor Lupin's office.

"Professor-!" She saw that it empty, a map laid on his desk. The map had footsteps, with the names of Ron Weasley,  Hermione Granger, Harry Potter, Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew on it. She quickly ran to them, being careful not to be seen by anyone.

Cassiopeia reached to the top of the ridge where she saw them all standing together outside. Harry and Sirius away from them, Professor Lupin holding his hand out to a man which Cassiopeia does not know who, though he does look familiar.

"GUYS!" she yelled, out of breath. The other looked at her.

"Cassiopeia?" He asked, "what are you doing here?"

Cassiopeia approached Lupin, though not too close for caution, "Professor, you shouldn't be here at this time."

"Pardon me, Miss Malfoy?" Lupin looks at her with a confused face.

"Its a full moon!" She pointed to the moon. Remus turned to the moon, just in time as the clouds started to clear.  Lupin is a rigid silhouette, his fingers
twitching, his eyes changing colour.

Cassiopeia bit her lip in fear, as she felt hands on her shoulder, slowly making her walk back. She turned, sees Harry locking eyes with her.

"Remus, old friend... did you take
your potion tonight?" Sirius Black asked. Lupin, twitching, shakes his head. Pettigrew's eyes dart, taking in the situation, then slowly shift, note
the wand trembling in lupin's lengthening fist.

"You knew he was a werewolf?" Harry whispered into her ear, she nods.

"Long time ago," she replied, Harry and her approaches Ron and Hermione who seemed to look as scared as her.

"Run. All of you. Now," Sirius turned to the children, but all of them are frozen into place. They are transfixed, watching bristles pole through Lupin's skin. Sirius steps forward, wraps his arms around his friend.

"You know the man you truly are,
Remus. This flesh is only flesh." Sirius pounds  Lupin's heart, "This heart is where you truly live. This heart! Here!"

As Lupin's wand drops... Pettigrew tries to grab the wand, but Harry's faster.

"No!" Harry flashes his wand. "Expelliarmus!"

Lupin's wand flies from Pettigrew's hand and he freezes. Then slowly turns. Face blank, eyes closed, he grins hideously and transforms into a rat.

"Isn't that Scabbers?" She breathed, stunned. A howl pierces the air, Cassiopeia and Harry wheels. With a shrug, Lupin tosses Black into the air, then turns. He is no longer human. He's a werewolf. Harry, Cassiopeia and Hermione begin to edge back.

"Professor...?" Hermione held her hand out, The werewolfs eyes blaze. Long teeth glitter.

"Hermione, are you mad?!" Cassiopeia hissed. Then a horrifying growl erupts from its throat.

Snape then appears out of nowhere, his eyes dark and angry, looking at Harry. "There you are, Potter--"

Another loud growl from the werewolf was heard and Snape whirled around, shielding the four of them.

The werewolf  howls, sprints forward, when a giant dog (Sirius) intercepts it in midair. They hit the ground in a fierce tangle of flashing teeth, a single
horrible flailing beast. Again and again, the dog pushes the werewolf back, but the werewolf is too strong...

"Sirius!" Harry shouted, lookinf at the dog in fear and concern. The dog yells, roars in pain, and the werewolf flings it
into the tall grass. As it charges after, Harry pushes past Snape, dashes into the night.

     "Harry!" yelled Cassiopeia.

"Get back here, Potter!" Snape gritted his teeth. Cassiopeia cursed under her breath before running after thr boy. "Malfoy!"

Harry runs full out. Up ahead, framed against a full moon, he spies the dog, lying inert, the werewolf's razor-sharp claws suspended over its neck.

"NO!!!" Harry plucks a thick branch from the ground and hurls it with a his might. The werewolf freezes, turns to Harry with its teeth bared.

"Potter! You idiot, lets go!" Cassiopeia' spoke, placing a hand on his shoulder, trying to catch her breath. "You know...I'm not the type to run a lot."

Harry gulped, grabbing Cassiopeia's hand from his shoulder and looking at her with fear. "Not the time."

As the werewolf begin to move towards them, they try to take a step back. Cassiopeia grabs her wand, points it to the werewolf.

"Come on, Professor Lupin," she spoke, terrifed. "Stop. It's me, your favourite student of all time. Snap out of it--!"

Suddenly... a howl pierces the night.
The werewolf falters, cocking its head toward the forest. Harry and Cassiopeia waits, petrified. The werewolf's eyes shift back to them. It snarls, moves closer, ready to kill. Harry pushed Cassiopeia back, as he covers his face with his arm like a protection. His hand still holding Cassiopeia's, who was closing her eyes.

A second howl echoes high above the foresf. Slowly, Harry drops his arm and Cassiopeia opened her eyes. They Look. The werewolf bounds toward the forest, vanishes. Harry's eyes shift. In the
darkness, the wounded dog lurches through the tall grass.

As he disappears over the ridge, Harry sprints after, dragging Cassiopeia with him. Harry stumbles down to Black, who lies on the water's edge, now fully a man, arms and face gleaming with
lacerations.

Cassiopeia grimaced at the blood, standing while watching Harry shake his godfather.

"Sirius!" The boy looked into his glassy eyes, shaking him once more. "Sirius!''

A fragile mist escapes Harry's mouth. A raw wind tosses his hair. Cassiopeia's eyes widen, as she looked up. Chill-bumls pebble hef skin and a fringe of ice appears at the lake's edge.

"Harry...this is not good," she said, stumbling next to him. She tightens her jacket from the cold as shivers ran down her spine when she saw the oozing like smoke in the trees across the lake. "Dementors."

    Harry draws his wand, "Expecto...Patronum!"

A thin silvery wisp weeps from Harry's wand, hovering like a veil, but the Dementors continue to come. Harry his hand on Black's heaving heart, poises his wand.

"Expecto...Patronum..." Harry's Patronus blooms briefly... and dies.

Cassiopeia is weak, her eyes flutter, the dementors twisting madly in her vision, drawing closer.

Black gasps as a silvery feathers of light tumble from his lips, as if his very soul were leaving him.

Cassiopeia, already feeling light headed, fell on the ground, unconscious.  The only thing she saw before passing out is a light and a fiery stag appearring, slashing through the trees and sowing the light into the darkness.
