"What do I do? I feel like I've made it so clear I have feelings without actually saying it, but he has no clue. Or is he choosing to ignore it so things aren't weird? I don't know anymore." Kathe told her friend.

"Well I think you should just actually tell him. Because if you don't, there is no way to know whether he has feelings for you or not. So, instead of moping around let's make a plan!" Her friend replied. 

"I guess you're right." Kathe sighed.

"Girl, I know I'm right." They chuckled. 

Hours after planning, Kathe was pacing back and forth not sure if she could go through with it. 

"What am I going to do if he doesn't feel the same? We're best friends, things will be so awkward." Kathe rubbed her head in frustration.

"Look, I know you can do this. Just think of all the good things that could come from this." Her friend reassured. 

"Okay... Okay fine. I'll try and calm down." Kathe laughed lightly.

"Alright, good. Now I'm gonna get out of here before Dylan shows up. You got this!" Her friend said whilst rubbing Kathe's shoulder. 

Kathe smiled a little and decided to watch some tv before Dylan got home to their shared apartment. 

Kathe was in the middle of her favorite episode of Friends when he walked through the door. 

"Hey! I'm home." Dylan yelled. 

"I'm in the living room." Kathe yelled back.

"Oh hi. Whatcha watching? He said, sitting down next to Kathe.

"The usual, Friends." She breathed out.

"Everything alright?" Dylan questioned, raising an eyebrow towards the girl.

"Yeah, everything's super." Kathe lied.

"Come on, I know you better than that Kathe. What's going on?" He wondered aloud.

"It's now or never," She mumbled. "Uh... we need to talk." She managed to get out, grabbing the remote to pause the tv causing silence to take them over.

"Okay..." Dylan answered, stretching out the y.

Kathe took a deep breath in before starting, "I need you to know how I feel about you. I like you. As more than a friend. And I get it if you don't like me back, but just tell me now. I don't want to wonder anymore. Please just tell me how you feel and I'll- I'll leave it at that." Kathe sighed, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. 

(The GIF is Dylan's reaction on the inside but he keeps it cool)

"Well can you look at me before I say it?" Dylan smirked. 

Reluctantly she met his eyes, and let out a breath she was holding in when she saw him smiling. 

"Of course I like you, you dummy. I thought I made it obvious." Dylan chuckled, shaking his head.

"Wait what?" She asked, not believing him.

"I like you. As more than a friend, Kathe." He replied.

"Oh, great. That's really great." Kathe shyly smiled, a blush evident on her cheeks.

"I know right? I'm so lucky! Woohoo!" Dylan jumped up.

She laughed before asking, "So what do we do now?"

"Well I think I gotta ask you something." He said, bending down to look Kathe in the eye.

"And that would be?" She blushed.

"Would you, Kathe, allow me, Dylan, to take you on a date? He stuck his hand out for her to grab.

Kathe gladly took it, standing up, "I would love to." She giggled.

"Yes!" Dylan shouted.

Then he did something unexpected, but totally sweet.

"Hey Alexa, play Perfect by Ed Sheeran." He smiled, knowing this was one of Kathe's favorite songs.

Then they danced around their living room, mostly swaying back and forth just smiling at each other.

Right before the song ended Dylan spun Kathe around and dipped her slightly. He smirked above her, wondering if he should do what he was thinking. 

Kathe was grinning from ear to ear, and started to stand straight again when Dylan grabbed her face and kissed her softly.

Shocked but happy, she kissed back. When Dylan pulled away, he put his forehead on Kathe's and they both kept their eyes closed in bliss.

"Wow." Kathe whispered, breaking the silence.

"Yeah, wow." Dylan smiled.
