"Sorry. I'm sorry, that was stupid." Wonwoo pulled away from the kiss, looking away. Mingyu took a second before pulling Wonwoo towards him and kissing him again.

Wonwoo closed his eyes and kissed Mingyu back as Mingyu's hand travelled to the beauty's cheek and claimed it.

Wonwoo put his hands around Mingyu's neck and Mingyu used the opportunity to carry Wonwoo up and move to the counter. Their lips disconnected as he gently placed Wonwoo on the counter then they met again in a fierce kiss.

The feelings they'd both had for one another finally displayed themselves. Wonwoo opened his mouth slowly and Mingyu's tongue slid against his exciting every bone in his body.

Mingyu's hands moved from Wonwoo's cheek under his shirt and that was when the beauty stopped and pulled away.

"Oh, I'm sorry." Mingyu removed his hands before realising Wonwoo had tears in his eyes. "Are you okay?" Mingyu asked, cleaning Wonwoo's tears.

Wonwoo nodded, getting off the counter but Mingyu knew he wasn't fine. Wonwoo looked at Mingyu before walking away from the living room.

Mingyu covered his face with his palms in frustration. Seokmin was right. He always messed everything up.

Mingyu watched as Wonwoo closed the bedroom door and turned off the lights leaving Mingyu to only wonder what went wrong.

Mingyu, not wanting to annoy Wonwoo any more than he already had, decided to sleep on the uncomfortable, little couch.

But he couldn't sleep. Instead, he stayed up all night replaying their kiss in his head, trying to find out what he'd done wrong, how he'd messed up, anything to keep him sane.

He'd just kissed Jeon Wonwoo for the first time and now Jeon Wonwoo had run away from him for the first time.

Wonwoo felt his heart getting heavy as he hid under the covers, tears falling out of his eyes. He didn't know how to tell Mingyu anything, his whole head was a literal mess.

He didn't know how he felt about Mingyu, he didn't know what this kiss meant for the both of them and he didn't know how to explain to Mingyu that him running away was not Mingyu's fault.

No matter how hard he tried to run away from that one night, it kept coming back to him trapping him in an endless torture chamber.

And because of that person, he'd ruined his chance with the only person that cared for him like his life depended on it. He'd lost Mingyu.

Wonwoo woke up the next morning, feeling lost. He didn't know how he was going to talk to Mingyu or even look at him. He felt so guilty.

"Are you awake? Chef Lee made breakfast." Mingyu disrupted Wonwoo's thoughts, his body leaning into the room. "Um, yeah, I'm coming." He replied, a bit surprised that Mingyu had talked to him first.

Wonwoo brushed his teeth and walked to the kitchen where Mingyu had already started eating. Wonwoo took a seat beside the boy and also started to eat.

"Just so you know, I'm not going to treat you differently because of what happened yesterday, I still like you a lot but I'm going to respect your boundaries because that's simple human decency." Mingyu explained.

"And you don't have to talk about yesterday if you don't want to... we can just move past it." He added and Wonwoo nodded but he knew that Mingyu was hurt because while he was saying all that, not once did he look in Wonwoo's direction.

Wonwoo sighed. They still had a month left for their summer break which they were supposed to spend happily on this beach but Wonwoo just had to ruin it, as always.

Because he was bad luck.

A/N: hi it's iris! just wanted to say that this chapter is more of a filler chapter and the next chapter will include a time skip from now to the resumption of their semester (of course an overview of how the rest of the holiday went will be given) but the time skip is needed in order for the story to not drag on! hope you guys are enjoying the story so far though! seeing your support is really heartwarming and motivating!
