Platform 9 ¾
After their shopping trip, Dumbledore and Y/N made their way to King's Cross Station. They stood in front of the barrier between platforms nine and ten. Y/N looked at Dumbledore, puzzled. "Where's platform nine and three-quarters?" she asked.
Dumbledore simply smiled and pointed at the barrier. "Just walk straight at the barrier between platforms nine and ten. Don't stop and don't be scared you'll crash into it, that's very important. Best do it at a bit of a run if you're nervous."
Taking a deep breath, Y/N did as Dumbledore instructed. She closed her eyes, picked up her pace, and braced for impact. But instead of crashing into the barrier, she felt a strange sensation, like she was being pulled through a very tight tube, and then she was standing on platform nine and three-quarters.
Before her was the Hogwarts Express, a gleaming red steam engine that was ready to take her to Hogwarts. Y/N felt a thrill of excitement. She was about to start a new chapter of her life, one filled with magic and adventure.
Y/N boarded the Hogwarts Express and found an empty compartment. She settled in, her heart pounding with excitement. Just as the train started to move, the compartment door slid open. Draco Malfoy stepped in, his sneer more pronounced than before.
"So, you're the Gryffindor everyone's been talking about," he said, his tone dripping with disdain.
Y/N raised an eyebrow, "And you're the Malfoy everyone's been warning me about."
Draco's sneer faltered, but he quickly recovered. "You should be careful, Gryffindor. You're in my world now."
Y/N laughed, "Your world? Last I checked, Hogwarts belongs to all of us. Or did you miss that lesson in sharing when you were a kid?"
Draco's face turned red, but before he could respond, Y/N continued, "And another thing, Malfoy. I may be new to this world, but I know enough to see through your act. So, save your threats for someone who's actually scared of you."
With that, Draco stormed out of the compartment, leaving Y/N alone. She couldn't help but smile. She was a Gryffindor, and she wasn't going to let anyone push her around. Y/n could 100% tell that she was going to hate this bleached daddy's boy.
After Draco left, Y/N turned her attention to the window. The scenery was a blur of green fields and blue skies, a stark contrast to the grey, dreary streets of London. She couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder and excitement. This was a whole new world, a world where she belonged.
As she watched the world rush by, her thoughts drifted back to the orphanage. She remembered the taunts, the bullying, the feeling of being different and alone. She remembered the countless nights she spent wishing for a place where she could be herself, where she wouldn't be judged or hurt.
And now, she was on her way to that place. Hogwarts was not just a school, it was a haven. A place where she could learn to control her magic, where she could make friends, where she could be a normal girl, not an outcast.
A sense of peace washed over Y/N. For the first time in her life, she felt like she was home. She was leaving behind her painful past and moving towards a future full of hope and magic. And she couldn't wait to see what it held for her.
