The sun was beginning to rise in a town called Arcadia Oaks. "Good morning, Arcadia Oaks! It's 4:30 am, if you're still in bed, you are missing the most beautiful sunrise. Clear skies..." an announcer says from a car radio, fading into the distance.
A paper cup rolls in the shadow of the bridge where the car had passed by, coming to a stop before a big, black, stone foot steps on it, crushing it. The creature roars and goes to punch a blue creature with two horns in silver armor, but the creature dodges.
They fight for a few moments, before the second one drives his sword into the ground to act as a support, while he tries to catch his breath, having fought the black one all night. "Yield, Kanjigar!" the black one with two red blood eyes says, winded as well but eager to continue the battle.
"A Trollhunter never yields! *breathing heavily* I would rather die!" the armored creature, known as Kanjigar, says as he stands back up, keeping one hand on his sword. "Terms....*snorts* accepted." the black creature says with a dark grin, before giving a battle cry as he leaps into the air and tries to slam his fists onto Kanjigar, but the Trollhunter tuck and rolls out of the way, before getting back up.
He dodges the next punch, blocks the next few with his sword and tries to sweep his opponent's legs out from under him, but the black creature dodges. The black one goes and tries to punch Kanjigar, but was beaten to the punch by Kanjigar, his punch sent the black creature flying backwards and landing on his back.
The black creature tries to get up, but a blade was in his face. "You're turn, Bular. Yield!" Kanjigar says, before the sun peeked over the bridge, the light causing his shoulder armor to smoke and he gasps, before looking behind him to the rising sun in worry.
The black creature known as Bular took that moment of distraction to kick Kanjigar away, sending him flying back. Kanjigar landed on his front, sliding a bit and his sword lands in the sunlight as he gives a groan of pain.
He lifts his head to see his blade in the sunlight, before turning his head to see Bular was up and coming for him. He pants and braces himself as he reaches for his sword, a blow glow on his hand as he grabs his sword and he cries out from the pain of being burnt by the sun as he brings his sword into the shadows.
Kanjigar then gets up as he turns to face Bular who was coming closer. Kanjigar sees the amulet in his chestplate losing its glow due to his fatigue as he pants, trying to get his breath back. He glares at his approaching enemy as he continue to pant.
"There's nowhere left for you to run, Trollhunter. Give me the amulet and tell me where is the mage assistant!" Bular says as he gives a dark grin. Instead of answering, Kanjigar starts running for the bridge, using the slope of the canals to help him get there, but Bular was right behind him.
Kanjigar leaps onto the steel beams, climbing onto it as he accidentally frightens some birds away. Kanjigar then looks for Bular, panting as he keeps his grip on sword tight.
Bular was behind him as the Troll roars, before using the steel beams to swing and kick Kanjigar further under the bridge, sending him tumbling and scaring more birds into flight. Kanjigar's back hits the slightly raised ledge of another steel beam, Bular growls as he starts to approach and then he lunges.
But, Kanjigar uses the steel beams like a jungle gym to get away from Bular, but Bular gave chase, before going back up. Kanjigar got back onto the steel beams, sword at the ready as he looks around for his enemy.
But Bular drops from above him, and pins him, making him grunt at the impact. Before Bular throws the Trollhunter to the edge and pins him, making him drop his sword.
The sword fell to the ground, stabbing into the ground disappearing. "*laughs darkly* It all ends here!" Bular says before smiling darkly and pushing half of Kanjigar's face out into the sunlight, making him scream in pain at the burn as the part of his face, horn and left arm that were exposed turn to stone.
Bular laughs and yells, as he tries to take the amulet, but Kanjigar grabs Bular's wrist with his right hand and pulls it into the sunlight. Bular screams in pain as his hand was burned, pulling his hand away as he continues to roar in pain and he held his hand that was burned before looking at Kanjigar, who uses a steel beam to help himself get onto his feet.
"It's me or the sun. *unsheathes his blades* Either way, *rolls his shoulders* you're doomed." Bular says to the Trollhunter.
"No, the amulet will find a champion. *turns to face Bular completely as he breathes heavily* We will stop you and your master. I may end, but the fight will not. And the mage assistant will be always there to protect everyone in this world..." Kanjigar says, before moving his left foot backwards and Bular gasps at what Kanjigar planned to do.
Kanjigar crosses his arms over his chest allowing himself to fall into the sunlight whitch turned him to stone.
"No!" Bular yells, as Kanjigar's body falls and then hits the ground, shattering itself.
Bular saw the amulet but when he tries to get a better look, he felt the sun burn him and recoiled with a yell. He knew he can't get to the amulet with the sun out and it infuriated him, before he roars angrily and punches a the concrete part of the bridge, and vanishing into the shadow.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
The scene then changes to the insides of a teenage boy's room. A round alarm clock reaches 6:00 am before its alarm begins to go off.
A young boy of fifteen years moves the magazine he had on his face before he looks at his alarm clock and gives a yell of surprise, before he gets up. He leaves his room and heads downstairs with a skip in his step and a smile on his face as he hums a tune.
He then gets to work, putting some books away, cleaning the coffee table and adjusting the bowl on it to the center, changing a light bulb and then making some toast for him to eat as he looks up a meatloaf recipe before printing it out and going to the kitchen. He then gets cooking, making an omelet and grinding some black pepper on it, before putting it on a plate as the timer dings and he removes the meatloaf from the oven.
"Morning Jim." a girl with a ponytail, blonde hair and yellow eyes says to the boy.
"Morning Akina!" the boy known as Jim says to the girl also known now as Akina
"Ill wait for you outside, is that alright with you?" Akina asks to Jim as she goes to the door.
"Yeah!" Jim says as he wraps three parts of it in some foil, before he puts them into brown paper bags and puts one in the fridge before putting the cleaned knife he used away and grabs the breakfast tray, beginning to take it upstairs as e continues humming. He comes to a room that had a note taped on it that said, 'Late night at work. Sleeping in. -Mom.'
He opens the door, seeing his mom asleep in bed, still in her scrubs and wearing her glasses. He sets the tray on her nightstand, before kneeling beside the bed and removes her glasses carefully.
Then, he cleans a smudge on them off and checks to make sure they were clean before setting them on the nightstand with his mother's breakfast. He then smiles as he pulls the blanket up to his mother's shoulders and kisses her forehead.
"Love you, Mom." the boy says, before leaving his mother's bedroom. On his way to the garage, the boy grabs his bike helmet and his school bag, before he looks at the Vespa in the magazine he had been looking at the night before.
"Ugh, raccoons!" the boy grumbles, before he gets to work on cleaning it up, a chubby boy was at the edge of the driveway, putting on his own helmet.
"We're late for school, Jimbo.", the chubby boy says, as he smiles at his friend.
"Yea I prefer not to be late, we must be on time there." Akina says
"Sorry, Tobes. Busy with the lunches *makes sure a milk carton gets back into the trash* One for me, one for mom one for Akina and...", Jim replies, as he holds out the paper bag, which Toby accepts. "Ah! *sniffs the inside* Balsamic mushrooms, meatloaf, chunky, sundried tomatoes." Toby says, as he looks into his lunch bag, as Jim rolls his bike past him.
"And cardamom." Jim adds, telling Toby he put in a new ingredient in his meatloaf today. "Ooh, taking a change there, chef Jim!" Toby says to his friend with a smile.
"Thank you" Akina says with a smile on her face with rose checks.
"Thanks and No problem, What's life without a little adventure?" Jim asks, as Toby sniffs his lunch before holding it back out to Jim. "I can't eat this, I'm on a diet." Toby says, as he tries to give it back, but Jim pushes it back to Toby.
"You've been on a diet for the past fourteen years, Tobes!" Akina says. "I know." Toby says, as Jim gets onto his bike as so does Akina.
"You're fifteen!" Jim adds, as he pedals away with Akina behind from Toby.
"Long-term goals. *struggles to get onto his bike* My body's still changing." Toby says, as he then begins to pedal after Jim and Akina.
"I'm right-I'm right-I'm right behind-" Toby says, already out of breath.
"Agh, it's eight o clock!" Jim says, as he pedals
"why must we be so late every morning..." Akina whispers to herself.
"We're gonna get suspended! On account of meatlaof!", Toby says, as he pedals after his friend. "Take the canal, Tobes! It'll save us five minutes!" Jim says, before pedaling down the forest path that leads to the canals with of course Akina behind, and with Toby following after them.
"N-n-n-n-n-not th-th-the c-c-c-c-c-can-a-a-a-a-al!" Toby says, as he bumps along the forest path. "Oh, live a little!", Jim yells back to their friends, before jumping a large bump and landing.
"It's living that I'm worried about!", Toby says, as he pedals along, bumping over the forest path, as he tries to catch up to Jim.
"Come on, Tobes! Don't you ever want a little more excitement?", Jim calls back to his friend, as he turns his head to look at Toby, having taken this path so many times he knows he won't hit a tree, log or rock and Toby laughs sarcastically.
"No!" Toby replies, before Jim looks forward again, picking up speed as he pedals, before he jumps off the edge and spreads his arms. He then grabs his bike's handle bars again as he drops.
Jim lands and rolls a bit with Akina behind, before turning to look at the edge where Toby should be. "Come on, Tobes!" Jim calls up to Toby as Akina giggles.
"James... Lake..." a male voice says, making Jim look over to where a pile of rubble lay and making Akina wide eyes. But, before he can move forward to check it out, they hears Toby yelling and then something fall behind them.
This makes Jim turn to look at Toby, seeing he had fallen to the ground with his bike, while Akina watched with wide eyes the rocks. "Ha, how awesome are we? Awesome!" Toby says, as Jim begins to head toward the rubble pile.
"Hey, hey, Tobes, Akina! Did you hear that voice?", Jim asks as he approaches the stone pile.
"What voice?", Toby asks, curiously, as they got closer. "James... Lake...", the voice says again, making the two boys yell out in surprise, before they fall onto their behinds.
"Impossible...." Akina says or more mutters as she watches the pile of rocks
"That! That-that pile of rocks knows my name!", Jim says, as he crawls forward for a better look. "It's a pile of K-spar, minerals don't talk! *crawls forward* There's gotta be a walkie-talkie in here or something!" Toby says, as Jim examines a piece with Akina before seeing something.
He picks up the amulet he finds, a silver metal one with a sky blue gem inside, that was glowing a light blue. "Huh, looks like an amulet.",è Jim says, as he looks it over, Akina eyes widen.
"Who's doing this?! Come out, now!", Toby yells, as he looks around for the culprit behind this.
"Jim... maybe it's better if you put it down..." Akina says but it seemed that Jim didn't listen.
"Hello? I'm listening.", Jim says to the amulet, before lifting it to his ear and Toby leans in to listen to it, too. But then, they hear the final school bell.
They hurry to their bikes, getting on them and pedaling as fast as they can to get to their school. As they left, eight eyes watch from a sewer grate.
"It chose... a human?" a male voice asks.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
The scene then changes to Jim's classroom. "*taps the map the tip of his fountain pen* The Pelapanisan War was actually three wars, *caps his pen* fought between Athens and Sparta. *begins to walk between the students desks* The first war is know as the Archimidian War, Type that into your search engines. *Toby notices Jim was staring at Claire* A-R-C-H-I-M-I-D-I-A-N." A man known as Mr. Strickler says, as Toby and Akina sighs at Jim's dreamy look.
"Really? *Claire looks at Jim then at Akina, she blushes returning to looking at her notes* *Toby motions for Jim to close his mouth* Close your mouth, you're drooling!" Toby says to his friend.
"No, no, I'm not" Jim replies to his friend.
"*notices Toby typing something* What are you doing?" Akina asks as she was next to Toby
"Research." Toby replies.
"Hey, look up 'talking amulet'" Jim says.
"Already did that. All I got were toys, one of them was a plushy.", Toby replies, pointing to the image of a plushy talking heart-shaped amulet toy as Akina sigh. "Jim, would you agree?" Strickler asks from behind Jim, startling him.
"Sir?", Jim asks, as he looks at Strickler. "With Herodotus' opinion on his tactics of war, as I've described.", Strickler says to his favorite student.
"Oh, uh. *looks at Toby, who looks at his computer screen whistling innocently and at Akina whos taking notes* Absolutely." Jim replies to his teacher. "Excellent. Which tactics specifically?" Strickler asks.
"The, uh, winning ones?" Jim asks, making the whole classroom laugh as Akina glanced at Jim with a questioning look,
Boy he should pay attention instead of looking at Claire.
The bell rings, releasing the students from class and they begin to gather their belongings with Akina going first.
"All right, all right. Don't forget, Michelson, chapters four and five. Jim, may I have a word?" Strickler says.
"Oh?" Jim questions, but he was distracted and accidentally knocks his backpack over.
as he starts picking up his things and Strickler begins to help him pick them up. "Jim, you're distracted. *hands Jim one of his fallen books* You fell asleep between the invasion of Attica and the Peace of Nicias, and your attention wandered the rest of the class." Strickler says, with a concerned look, as he passes Jim another book.
"Sorry, I didn't get a lot of sleep last night." Jim replies, as he puts the book away. "*hands Jim his headphones* I know it's just you, your mother and your friend Akina, and you want to help them." Strickler says, as he gives a gentle smile to his favorite student.
"She's just really tired, Mr. Strickler. She's been working double shifts at the clinic. And Akina she does the best to help me study and keep me in line." Jim explains, before Strickler begins writing on a post it note. "I believe I'm overdue for a conversation with her. *hands his number to Jim* Have her call me, please." Strickler says.
"Uh..." Jim says, as he looks at the number.
"And feel free to drop by my office if you ever need to talk." Strickler says.
"Yeah, yeah, I'll do that." Jim says, as he puts the post it note in his pocket. "Oh, and Jim, if you fancy Miss Nunez or Your friend, *picks up a book before the two stand up* I submit that talking to will be much more effective than *gently taps Jim's head with the book* staring at." Strickler says, before handing Jim the book and watching him leave.
Akina, who was listening this hole time walks to Jim, fast.
She truns a little bit her head to Strickler glaring a little bit at him, She didn't trust him, he felt so familiar, she just hoped it was her imagination but she knew something was wrong.
God her old mind was going low.
The bell rings- again , signaling the start of the next class, which for Jim, Toby and Akina meant gym class. Toby was struggling to climb the rope, as his pudgy hands gripped it.
"Hang on, almost there! So close, so close!" Toby says, as he struggles.
"Come on, Tobes! You've got this!", Jim encourages his friend, who was barely even up the rope.
But, Jim was supporting his best friend. "So close!" Toby says, before falling with a yell.
But, the rope was wrapped around his foot and he hangs upside down. His head on the ground along with his arms and Toby's yelling had caught coach Lawrence's attention.
"What is that on my rope?! Every student here should be able to climb this rope *grabs the rope before pointing at the bell* and ring that bell! I want all of you to be made of iron. Iron! *pokes Toby's middle* You have got to be kidding me. I don't know what I feel more sorry for, you or the rope. *points at Akina that jumped and climed easily and ringed the bell* Be more like Miss Covenbreath!" Coach Lawrence says, before Jim walks over to Claire, the advice from Strickler echoing in his head. He tries to impress her with his limited Spanish speaking skills and she suggests he tries out for the Romeo and Juliet play.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
The scene then cuts to the locker rooms. Jim and Toby were sitting on a bench, putting on their regular clothes, with Akina else where.
While Jim was easily tying his shoe, Toby was struggling to put on a sock. "So close! *yells in frustration before continuing to try to get his sock on* You talked to her?"Toby asks, as he continues trying to get his sock on.
"Yep.", Jim says as he looks at his friend, who fell off the bench and into a locker door. "Like actually spoke to her? Not just, you know, in your head?", Toby asks, as Jim pulls the amulet out of his backpack. "I unleashed my Espanol on her." Jim replies, as he inspects the amulet and shuts his bag. Toby then manages to sit up.
"You should totally do it.", Toby says, as he picks up his sock to try to put it on again. "What the play? *puts his backpack on his shoulder* I'm not an actor." Jim replies, before shutting his locker door.
"*tries to mimic Akina's voice* 'it's worth a try. And you never know if you dont'- i mean thats what Aki always says to you" Toby says.
Toby starts attempting to get his sock on his foot. "Come on, you're always talking about how you want you life to be more exciting! Right?" Toby says, before he falls off the bench again trying to put his sock on.
"I don't think Romeo and Juliet is exactly the answer, Tobes. I don't mean just, you know, exciting, I mean more. I-I-I just need to know that there's something more to life than high school." Jim says, as he looks at his amulet, while his expression drops. The clatter of a locker catches his attention, but not Toby's and he thought he saw something.
So, he starts to go investigate. "Something more?" Toby asks, as Jim continues to walk away.
Jim then peeks around the corner, hearing the school showers running. "Hello?" Jim asks. He sees steam coming from the shower room and he starts walking toward it.
"Anybody in there?" Jim asks, as he walks closer to it. "Hello?" Jim asks again, as he reaches it.
while Jim then peeks inside, narrowing his eyes in the steam and he thought he saw something run in the steamy room. He jumps when he hears Toby's excitement about getting a sock on his foot and rolls his eyes, before going back to his friend.
Where was Akina?
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
The scene then changes to outside of the school building. Toby was walking beside Jim, telling him that he was almost done with his braces, just four more years.
Akina finally catches up with them and starts apologizing about being late and starts telling them she was busy.
Jim sees Steve shoving Eli in a locker, mocking the creatures he had seen earlier that very morning. Jim knew he couldn't let this happen, so he walked up to Steve and told him to let Eli go.
But Steve had him by the backpack and challenges him on what Jim would do if he didn't. "Okay, do it. Punch me." Jim says, making Akina and Toby gasps, as he pushes his way through the crowd and Jim eyes Steve's fist.
"You-You're asking for a beating?", Steve asks, in disbelief. "Yah, just go crazy. In twenty years, you're going to be fat and bald and you'll be working in a muffler shop, and Eli will have a career in software and be a billionaire!", Jim says while he glares at him
"Jim just leave it." Akina says as she stands in beside Jim and glaring at Steve too.
"I do like computers!" Eli says from inside the locker, only for Steve to hit it to shut him up, as he glares at Jim but not bothering looking at Akina. Toby begins to chant to let Eli out and the crowd joins him in chanting at Steve to let Eli out of the locker.
But, before Steve can throw a punch at Jim and before Akina could block it, the coach speaks up causing Steve to drop Jim. "Palchuck, what's going on here?" Coach Lawrence demands.
"Uh, nothing, sir.", Steve says, in a fake nice tone. "Why aren't you at practice?", Coach Lawrence asks him, as he crosses his arms
"I was helping Eli, here.", Steve replies, opening the locker and revealing Eli in the cramped space. "Hey, guys!", Eli says, while Akina still Glares at Steve.
"He was stuck.", Steve lies. "On the double, now!", Coach Lawrence says to Steve, before leaving.
Steve then slams the door once coach was gone, trapping Eli inside again and Steve leaned in toward Jim's ear. "Friday, at noon. You and me. Tick-tock. Tick. See ya sweetcheeks", Steve threatens and sweets Akina, as he backs away, wagging his finger in a simple gesture, Akina simply glared at him, but she didn't want to get in trouble.
Eli knocks on the locker door, bringing Jim back to the situation at hand. He pulls on the locker handle, releasing Eli from inside.
The young boy fell out with a scream and hits the ground. "Thank you!" Eli says
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
The scene then changes to the street towards Jim's house. Jim and Toby were riding their bikes.
"That was awesome man! Did you see how I did that chant? 'Let him out! Let him out!' I mean you probably won't live past Friday, but it was awesome. Good thing your Mom's a doctor.", Toby says, as Barbara pulls up in her car to the boys and Girl. She then honks the horn to let them know she was coming and she fixes her glasses after pulling up beside them.
"Hey, Mom.", Jim says, as he stops his bike, as he smiles at his Mom. Toby then starts to ride past Jim.
"Looking sharp, Dr. Lake.", Toby says, passing Jim and his Mom, before backing up and sitting beside Jim. "Thank you, Toby. So are you.", Barbara replies, as she smiles.
"Oh! Does it show?", Toby asks, as he tries to flex muscles he didn't have.
"Greetings Mrs.Lake" Akina says with a smile
"Akina i already told you you can call me Barbara and no need to be formal, after all we took you in and no need to be formal." Barbara says with a smile
"O-oh Y-yea sorry" Akina replies with a light blush, she was happy that the Lake's think of her as a family.
You going to be out all night?" Jim asks his mom, seeing the blanket and pillow she had in the back for her break naps and she sighs.
"Doctor Gilberg is out with bursitis, and Doctor Lenz has a wedding out of town this weekend.", Barbara replies, confirming his question that she'll be out all night.
"Okay, well, don't forget to bring your-" Jim starts to remind her.
"Dinner. *pulls out the brown paper bag holding the meatloaf he made today* Thank you.", Barbara replies, as she smiles at her son. "Right. And try to find an oven to reheat it in instead of nuking. *looks at Strickler's number in his hand* Takes all the flavor and nutrients away.", Jim reminds his mother.
"Jim, there must be a million *he hides the phone number as she turns her attention back to him after putting her dinner away* things you'd rather be doing than looking after me.", Barbara says, as he smiles at her. "*shrugs* Can't think of one.", Jim replies.
"Love you, honey.", Barbara says, before she rolls up the window. "Bye, Mom!" Jim says, as the car pulls away. "Stay safe!" Akina shouts.
"You love your mother a lot." Toby says to Jim, with a smile. "Heh. See you tomorrow, Tobes!"
"Bye!" Jim and Akina both says their goodbye as they start heading toward their house house.
"Hey, and by the way, don't use may on the sandwich! It's the wrong note!", Toby calls after Jim, as he starts pedaling toward his own house with Akina.
Jim and Akina enters their home, with Jim throwing his backpack onto the floor as he takes a seat on the couch and presses the button on the remote, turning the TV on as he pulled the amulet from his pocket.
"Call me if you see something strange ok?" Akina says with a serious tone as she goes up to her room
Jim was getting worried of her ever since they found the amulet this morning she's been acting strange like it was something so serious.
It was just an amulet no?
Before he could examine the amulet further, his phone rang, taking his attention off the amulet. He picks up his phone and saw it was Toby, before answering.
"Hey Tobes.", Jim says. "Did it talk again? Did it do anything interesting?", Toby asks.
"Nope.", Jim replies.
"Toby-Pie! Dinner!", Toby's Nana calls and Jim holds his phone away from his ear, with a wince cause the loud volume hurt his ear.
"In a minute, Nana! I gotta go, text me if it does anything cool.", Toby says, before he hangs up and Jim hangs up as well. He then picks up the remote and changes the channel, showing a young woman fighting a robot, but his attention changes back to the amulet as it blinks with a light blue light.
"Um... Hi. How you doing? I'm Jim, but then you knew that because you spoke my name, which is weird. Hello? Anybody in there? *fiddling with the amulet before he throws his arms down* And now I'm talking to an inanimate object. Come on! *points at the amulet* Talk again or you are going up on eBay!" Jim says, before he hears a loud clatter from his basement, turning his head toward it as he sets the amulet down and walks to the basement door, before opening it. He hears more clattering coming from downstairs.
"Raccoons!" Jim says, before grabbing a broom and walking downstairs. He stops on the stairs and looks around, before he sees something run from the furnace and some pieces of coal were on the ground.
He grips the broom as he walks down. Meanwhile upstairs, the amulet was glowing before it ticks and an arm switches positions.
Jim pulls on the light cable for the basement light, before he starts to slowly look for the raccoons. He caught his reflection in his jumpy state, which makes him scream but he calms down once he sees it was just his reflection, and he sighs in relief.
He then continues to look for the raccoons, before the light goes out and he stiffens, tightening the grip on his broom. "Ah!" Jim yells in fright as he looks behind him, but he doesn't see anything before he exhales in relief.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
Just in that moment as Akina was looking at the pages on the ground she heard Jim scream, she run down stairs quickly.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
He then turns to look at the coal pieces curiously, unaware of eight eyes opening behind him. He kneels down and picks up one of the coal pieces, as a six-eyed four-armed troll and the princess that rules over his race, come into the light.
"Master Jim!" the troll screams in excitement, making Jim fall backwards as he screams in fright and crawls backwards and bangs his head on the pipe that goes up into his house. He opens his eyes, as he rubs his head.
"Master Jim!" the troll says, as Akina , who came down stairs. Jim yells out in fright again and bangs his head again, even she had to wince at that.
We have found you!" the troll says, before Jim backs up again and bumps into a very large troll arm. "I am known as Blinky" Blinky says, introducing himself
"JIM! Its ok" Akina tells Jim who then yells out in surprise.
"AH! Lady Akina ! its a surpise seeing you alive!" Blinky says surpised
"Yea- well could you stop scaring him?" Akina says calmly.
Jim then looks up at the troll he bumped into.
"Hi." the troll says, waving with a smile.
But, Jim yells in fright again, moving away from the larger troll. "It's Aaarrrgghh, three Rs." Arrrgh says.
Jims backside touches the furnace and he yells in pain, going in between the two trolls and Akina before falling onto the ground. The three look down at him, with Akina helping him.
"Hmmm. He says...*petty scream* a lot.",Aaarrrgghh comments to Blinky
"It's more of a yelp. A greeting perhaps?", Blinky says and Akina groans in exasperation, shaking her head as the two trolls scream at Jim, which only makes him scream again.
Jim gets up to run, but Aaarrrgghh grabs him by the legs and dangles him. Jim then covers his whole face with his hands as Blinky walks closer.
"Master Jim, you have been chosen." Blinky say
"HEY- HEY!HEY!HEY! Please put him down please?" Akina says as she points down.
"Hmmm. Blinky, he looks scared, and she looks worried" Aaarrrgghh says, as he looks at Jim than at Akina then back at Blinky. "Uh, Aaarrrrgghh, my good fellow, would you mind? This is a moment of some solemnity." Blinky says.
"Hmmm? Solembely?", Aaarrrgghh asks, confused. "It means serious and dignified." Blinky starts.
"Hm...Dig-oo-nified.", Aaarrrgghh says. "P-p-put me down, please?"Jim asks as his voice shakes slightly, peeking out.
Akina gives a look to Aaarrrgghh and points down, indicating that he should put Jim down. "Oh."Aaarrrgghh says, before he turns Jim right side up, sets him down and pats him on the head a couple of times, as Jim let's out another yelp.
"Thank you." Akina says to Aaarrrgghh, as she turns to Jim and telling him its alright. "Now, where was I?", Blinky says, trying to get his train of thought back.
"Uh, Master Jim...found you..." Aaarrrgghh reminds him. "Yes. *Jim tries to run but ends up running into Aaarrrgghh's hands a couple of times* Thank you. Master Jim, you have been chosen." Blinky says.
"The Amulet of Daylight challenges you to ascend to the most sacred of offices." Blinky continues.
"Orfices? What orfices?", Aaarrrgghh asks. "Offices, it means responsibility. *to Jim* Unbeknownst to your kind, there is a secret world, a vast civilization of trolls lurking beneath your very feet and i see we have even the mage Akina ." Blinky replies.
"Tr-Tr-Trolls? Ma-m-mage A-akina?", Jim questions, nervously and still frightened as he looks at her "Trolls." Aaarrrgghh says, as he looks down at Jim.
"Among other things."Akina says as she thought on how Jim would react if she told him who really she was...
"Yes, Trolls. And it is now your charge to protect them. For you, Master Jim, are the Trollhunter.", Blinky says.
"Trollhunter.", Aaarrrgghh repeats. "Im so sorry..... *sigh*" Akina says with sadness in her voice.
"This honor is yours to accept. So, what say you?" Blinky says. But, Jim never gave his answer.
Instead, his eyes rolled to the back of his head and he fell to the floor in a dead faint, his body laying still on the floor as the two trolls, Akina gasps as she runs to him "Is that a yes?" Aaarrrgghh asks as Akina looks to him Glaring at him a little.
Later on Akina put Jim on the couch.
Jim woke up with a startle.
He saw that the basement was vacant of the two trolls that had stood there, before he had passed out. Jim quickly pulls out his phone and dials a certain number, as he stands up, and surveys the area.
"Pick up, pick up.", Jim mutters, as he waits impatiently. Before answering his prayers, Toby's voice answered the phone.+
"Hey Jim.", Toby says. He was currently at his dentist's office right now.
"Tobes, it's me! You're never gonna believe what happened last night!", Jim says. "Yeah, I'm kinda in the middle of something, Jimbo.", Toby replies, as his dentist grabs some tools, sticking his ungloved hands into his patient's mouth.
Akina sees Jim away sadness in her face, it was time to tell him but what if he didn't accept her anymore.....
"I am freaking out here! Seriously freaking! I need to talk to somebody!", Jim says, as he paces around in a circle, freaking out about what happened last night.
"Chillax. What's going on? And don't you have Akina with you??", Toby asks. "I know but i dont wamma wake her up. Okay, last night, I heard something in my basement. I thought it was raccoons, but then-", Jim starts to say, before he was interrupted.
"Yeah hang on a second- *a drill was placed in his mouth and drilling at a tooth, making him scream in pain* Sorry Jim, I have to call you back. No, not that one!", Toby says, before the two hang up.
"Jim..?" Akina says as he turns to her "you k-k-now last night right you saw it too right what happen?- wait why did it call you Mage Akina ?" Jim asks
"There are some things that i will explaine.....later on.....im sorry for keeping it this long....." Akina says
"Okay?.." Jim was right this was something that Akina never told him or no one he needed to find out.

After having fibbed to his favorite teacher about being in the chess club, instead of telling him the truth about what he had found and meeting the trolls, Jim had returned home at the end of the day. He was now making the lunches for tomorrow, cutting up some tomato slices to put on the sandwiches he made, putting them on the bacon on the sandwiches, then putting on the lettuce leaves after putting the cleaned knife away.
He then puts on the cheese and the second slices of bread on the top, completing the sandwiches. Jim then looks at the amulet, which had started to glow in his backpack.
He takes his backpack outside, Where Akina told him she was, before removing the amulet from his bag and putting his bag down. Jim narrows his eyes at it, before the markings around the rim begin to glow the same light sky blue as the gem, the arms moving as the letters move and begin changing from their natural language into English.
"Uhm i know we didn't have a lot of time to talk about this but.... I hope you will forgive me for hiding things" Akina says going beside him.
"*turns to look at Akina* uh- it's fine- I uh guess? I mean what did you hide besides being a mage? You being older then me? Cus I know that." Jim says jokingly.
Akina looks at him with a blank face. "Jim I'm 1117 years old."
Jim looks at her in confusion before starting laughing.
The laugh dies down as he looks at her face again, her face was serious
"Oh- Wait- YOU'RE SERIOUS!?" He then yells surprised.
"You know what just read the words the amulet says." She says with puff cheeks glancing away from him.
"Ok......
For the Glory of Merlin, Daylight is Mine to Command.", Jim reads the incantation out loud. As he finished reading the words, the food of a cat's dish began to float, as the computer screen in a room of his house flicked off.
The fences shake in the wind as the leaves blew in the same wind. His eyes widened, as he brings it closer, before a blue spark appears from the amulet and circles around him, before hiding near his heart.
Akina smiles she started to remember her Past life.
More sparks follow and hide near his heart as well, his body floating into the air as a wave of blue magic surrounds him. Armor began appearing and connects to his body, but given how it was made for trolls and the last troll had been quite large in human standards, the armor was too big at first.
But then, the lines and markings in the armor glow light sky blue as the armor begins shrinking to his size and soon fit him like a glove.
"This is so freaking cool!!", Jim says, as he smiles, before putting his hands on his hips.
"Glad you like my old friend's armor" Akina says as she crosses her arms in her chest.
Jim smiles at her before He sees more sparks fly out of the amulet, this time moving to his right hand, creating the Sword of Daylight, but at first it was much too big for Jim. But then it too shrinks to his size as blue smoke pours from it.
Akina starts laughing.
Jim begins swinging the sword around, testing it but then he got it trapped in a boulder. He begins trying to get it out again and he manages after a few failed attempts.
But he got it stuck in another boulder, this more flat then the other one. At the deathbed of Kanjigar, a car pulls up at the top of the canals.
Akina countinued laughing
He never saw Akina laugh so much before even if she was someone else with secrets he knew that she would always protect him.

Someone exits the vehicle and begins walking down the canal, heading for the stone remains of Kanjigar's body. The figure walks up to the body and picks up a piece that had most of the indent of where the amulet has rested on it's former champion, revealing that the figure was Strickler.
"It's been taken. You failed. *Bular walks until he was behind Strickler* You let it go. Your father will be displeased.", Strickler says, before Bular snarls, lowering his head to be at Strickler's level. "Whoever holds the Amulet of Merlin, I shall destroy him, just as I have done with every, single. One of them.", Bular says to Strickler.
"Worry not, you brute. *Bular had snorted steam and recoils his head slightly* *Strickler's eyes glow* I know where to find it. *Bular moves to the side as Strickler turns around to look at the distant lights of Arcadia* I believe the amulet has found it's champion and we have even found the Mage...." Strickler says. Jim was trying to get the sword out of the boulder again, tightening his grip and pulling with all the strength he had, before pulling it free and holding the blade high in the air, smiling as Akina comes behind him smiling too.
