i request to special agent major karan shergill to come on stage and say something about his beloved wife martyr special agent monami shergill said the host of the scholarship programme , karan went on the stage and took the mic , he started to speak " monami ke baare main jitna kahu utna kam hai , humare desh ki best commando jin missions ko puri ki puri teams nahi kar paati thi , un missions ko vo akele successful karne ki takat rakhti thi , apni duty ke liye bahot zyadaa passionate thi , 1 mahine pehle sirf maine apni wife ko nahi khoya , balki humare desh ne bhi apne one of the best commando ko khoya hai but still hum sabko uspe proud hai and i can proudly say i am a proudhusband of a girl who became martyr for our country , i am very proud of her , thank you"
karan came down from the stage and in sometimethe programme also got over .

Now he was sitting in his room remembering the day which changed his life 360°

flashback

"jaana zaroori hai rani sahiba" he said while giving her service relover , she was called by her motherland , her duty was calling her , she came back just two days ago and now she has to go back
"tumhe pata hai , phir bhi pooch rahe ho" she took her service revolver from her service relover from his hand and tucked it in her belt , she was about to turn when karan hugged her tightly, she became startled by sudden hug but she snuggled more into him
"karan kya hua pareshaan kyu ho rahe ho"
"accha nahi lag raha"
"tabiyat toh theek hai tumhari , fever toh nahi hai , phir kya hua"
"mat jao na monami , please iss baar nahi"
"karan tum jaante ho na , duty comes first phir bhi mana kar rahe ho"
"haan jaanta hu lekin..lekin....iss baar aisa lag raha jese tum...tum..." his voice choked in mid of sentence but she know what he wants to say
"don't worry karan kuch nahi hoga mujhe" she was saying these words to him but somewhere she knows that something bad is going to happen , her intuitions were never wrong , After sometime she broke the hug .
"bye karan , meri chinta mat karna i'll be back" he nodded his head slightly, he knows that somewhere he was becoming selfish , he was stopping her from completing her duty , she left from there and karan bid her a bye or maybe a goodbye.

Three days have passed , there was no news of her , no contact with her now he was getting restless so he decided to go to academy , In sometime he reached in academy, he meet ustadjii there , he saluted
"jai hind sirji , aap yahan koi kaam tha"
"ustadjii monami ko batra sir ka call aaya tha , teen din ho gaye koi information nahi aayi uski"
"sirji mujhe nahi pata hai , aap khud batra sir se pooch lijiye"
"sir cabin main hi hai"
"haan sirji " and he left from there.
Karan reached in batra sir cabin he was pacing here and there in his cabin
"sir kya hua" batra sir looked at him , karan can easily that he was tensed about something
"shergill tum yahan , par tumhe toh abhi apne ghar pe hona chahiye tha na , doctor ne tumhe kaha hai rest ke liye"
"sir main theek bus ek choti si goli lagi thi , aapne aur monami ne mujhe ghar main band kardiya hai aur ab main bilkul theek hu lekin aap theek nahi lag rahe hai , sir koi problem hai kya"
"shergill tumhe toh pata hai , maine abhi teen din pehle monami ko ek mission pe bheja hai "
"haan sir main bhi usi baare main baat karne aaya tha"
"karan humara connection lost hogaya hai usse , hume mission ke baare main koi update nahi mil raha hai"
"sir aap kya keh rahe aur monami kis mission pe gayi hai "
"shergill hume information mili thi ki deolali main kuch terrorists chupe huye hai , monami usi site pe gayi hai "
"sir aap monami ko akele kese bhej sakte hai , vo bhi itne dangerous jagah par aap ek mujhe bata dete "
"karan tumhe nahi bata sakta tha , tum already ek bahot hu dangerous mission se aaye ho"
"sir but monami...." before he can continue they were interuppted by a call , batra sir picked up the call immidieatly
"hello"
"sir...spec...ial ag..ent mo...monami maha...jan repor...ting sir"
"monami , tum theek ho na"
"ye...yes sir aap rescue team ko bhej .....dijiye yahan blast hua hai....." before she could say more they lost the connection with her
"karan rescue team ko ready karo aur immidieatly site pe pahuncho"
"yes sir" he said while coming in his commando mode and left from batra sir cabin .

Karan and his team has started their search operation on the site , karan was feeling much restless now , he was searching for monami in whole area but was not able to find her , he was shouting her name when something came under his leg shoes , he looked down and picked it , It was her engagement ring which she never removed , he put the ring in his pocket when his eyes fall on a hand which was under a pillar he removed the pillar and found her lying in a pool of blood , he sit near her put her head in his lap and start patting her cheeks
"monami , monami utho , monami " he picked her in his arms and took her to his jeep , he made her lay on passenger seat and starfed driving towards hospital
"monami , hum abhi hospital pahuch jayenge , tum chinta mat karo main tumhe kuch nahi hone dunga "
"monami kuch bolo please " In sometime karan reached at the Hospital, faizi was already present there as he himself called him before reaching , he run inside the hospital carrying monami in his arms
"doctor , doctor its an emergency " he said while making her lay on the stretcher
"kya hua inhe "
"mission pe thi and bomblast "
They were taking her in OT but stopped in mid way after checking her nerves , seeing them stop in mid way karan asked them
"kya hua doctor , aap ruk kyu gaye "
"i am sorry mr. shergill but she is already dead" listening to his words karan blood boiled in anger , he held doctor from his collar
"kya bakwas kar rahe , pata hai kya bol rahe , usey kuch nahi hua hai aayi baat samjh agar nahi treat karna toh saaf saaf boldo , i'll take her somewhere else"
"mr. shergill i think aapko bahot bada sadma laga hai , inki death already ho chuki ho" karan was about to slap him when faizi hold his hand
"karan doctor theek keh rahe " karan pushed him and hold monami hand
"monami utho , monami , monami utho na dekho ye doctor aur ye faizi kya bol rahe hai , monami , ranisahiba, ranisahiba uthiye " karan said while shaking her body
"special agent monami shergill get up ..... utho tumhe batra sir ko report dena hai ....utho monami get up..." she was not listening to him finally he broke down into tears , which he was contolling, they started rolling down his cheeks , faizi put his hand on his shoulder and he hugged him tightly
"faizi dekh na ye uth kyu nahi rahi , mujhe pata hai bahot ziddi hai , par ye konsi zidd , bol na isey"
"karan sambhalo khud ko , agar tum aise bikhar jaoge toh sid ko kaun sambhalega "
"par faizi isne mujhse promise kiya tha ye aayegi vapas" finally after some time was able to make him believe that she is not going to come back, her body was taken to the academy, everybody was crying and sid was inconsolable as he lost his best buddy, his bro and his whole family.

There was only one person who stood numb all the time and he was Karan only, he was standing there red-eyed, tears were struggling to fall from his eyes but he was not letting them fall , reminiscing al moments they spent together , their first meet , misunderstanding, trust , friendship, her proposal, heartbreak, his confession, first date , first fight , patch up , happiness of their marriage and the pain of forever separation, he was standing there like a dead body

Karan was standing near the window in his room when someone put hand on his shoulder, he turned only to find his saand , faizi standing there with sid
"karan bro 1 mahina ho gaya ,aapki ye condition humse bardaash nahi ho rahi , aap akele rehte ho , kisi se nahi milte , kisi se baat nahi karte bus iss room main band , please bro move on karo , monu bro aapko aise dekhke kabhi khush nahi hogi "
"haan karan , tumne phir se khud ko shell main band kar liya hai jahan se monami ne tumhe nikala tha , karan monami tumse aise dekhke kabhi khush nahi hogi"
"toh nahi jaana tha na chodke , kyu chali gayi mujhe akela chodeke , usne jis andhere se mujhe nikala tha na mujhe ab ussi andhere main usne khud push kiya hai , aur Siddharth move on karne ke liye na life main kuch baaki hona chahiye , par meri life main kuch nahi bacha , sab kuch monami ke saath hi khatam ho gaya and now i am living in the dark once again .....
