Thursdays have never been Jenny's favorite day of the week; it was a day full of after-school activities.

"You should try out for the robotics team," a random girl in school said to Jenny.

Jenny shrugged with both hands in her pocket, "Not my thing... but thanks though." The random girl nodded and went ahead, talking to other students. And then an abrupt noise arose, everyone in the hall screaming but not in fright.

"What's going on?" Jenny said to herself. She turned around, and it was Ginger, she's back in school. Everyone went to greet her, most people were happy to see her, Jenny was happy to see them too.

Ginger being who she is, feeds off of attention and undeserved praise, sighted Jenny from afar, Jenny was the only one that didn't go to welcome her, it's not like they're friends or anything.

It was of no wonder to Jenny that Ginger is now well. As usual, Jenny went ahead minding her business, still stuck on what after-school activity to choose. Jenny headed for the school cafeteria to sit at the "Losers table". She began to miss her best friend, Gary. She was a bit upset that he didn't keep his promise, but she missed him, regardless.

Slade, on the other hand, was not in school that day, so she's left to sit all alone. A few minutes after she had lunch; to Jenny's surprise Slade showed up at school, Jenny's face lit up the moment she saw him but that changed when he was talking to Ginger right across from where she was sitting.

Jenny couldn't hear what they were saying, but Ginger looked excited, twirling her hair with her fingers, laughing flirtatiously. Ginger was flirting with Slade right in front of her; Jenny looked away, and frowned a little, Slade and Ginger ended their conversation with a hug that lasted longer than it should, and then he walked up to Jenny.

"Surprise Surprise!" Slade said jokingly, "Happy to see me?" Jenny gave no reaction nor any response at all; she kept a straight face.

Slade slightly frowned as he observed her countenance, "What's wrong?"; Jenny took a sip of her drink, still not giving a response to his question.

It's now obvious to Slade that Jenny was upset with him. He tried patting her cheek, but she pulled away, "What have I done wrong?" Slade asked.

Jenny smiled; the smile wasn't a friendly one. After a moment of silence, she said.

"Oh, gee... I don't know, I'm so thrilled that another girl is flirting with my boyfriend right in front of me, I'm out of here!" Jenny said sarcastically, stood up, and walked out in annoyance. Slade followed her at once, but she kept walking. He grabbed her by her hand to stop her.

"Hold up Jen, it's not what you think; I was only doing what any human would do, she was sick for days; I was extending my good wishes; please just listen"

Jenny forcefully pulled her hand away from Slade's.

"Not from where I stand Slade! Even a blind man could see that you both were flirting with each other... Look! I just want to be alone right now okay? Weren't you supposed to be at your uncle's today? who knows, maybe she's the reason you changed your mind!"

"You know that's not true... Jen, people are beginning to stare; let's go somewhere else to talk about this please"

"Goodbye, Slade!" Jenny stormed out of the cafeteria to the school hall.

Everyone kept staring, Slade rode off on his power bike; not speaking to anyone; not even when Ginger tried consoling him. Jenny stormed off to the computer lab, Ginger followed her there.

"Jealous much Jen?"

"What do you want Ginger?"

"A lot has changed around here; you grew some balls girl"

Jenny ignored Ginger and pretended she wasn't there.

Ginger got upset with Jenny's nonchalant reaction, glared at her and slammed her palm on the table where Jenny sat.

"I know Slade is your boyfriend now but not for long Jennerd, enjoy him while he's still yours because he'll be mine soon!". Ginger walked out after making threats; nothing would've thrilled Jenny more than to hit Ginger but she held back knowing what her anger could do.

It was almost time for Chemistry class, chemistry always cheered Jenny up; she prepared. All of a sudden Jenny felt a sharp pain in her head; she felt an urge to leave the school premises and go somewhere, a force was compelling her to just walk out of school then something happened, someone tapped her from behind, Jenny turned around, her red veiny eyes became calm and sweet, Gary, her best friend is back in school; he kept his promise after all.

"Hey, superstar..." Gary said. Jenny didn't hesitate to give him a hearty hug and smile; he came when she needed him most.

"I missed you Gary..." she kept hugging him, Gary noticed something was wrong with Jenny, he looked at her face.

Gary frowned as he saw her eyes watering. "What's wrong Jenny?... Is something wrong?"

Jennifer scoffed and wiped her face. "Nothing Gare... I'm just very happy to see you."; Gary wasn't fully convinced that everything was okay but he took her word for it. Moments after Jenny felt the pains in her head again; she began to hear a hissing voice calling out her name.

She squeezed her eyelids shut tight, expressing that she was in pain, Gary became scared, he tried getting help but she stopped him.

"I'm fine Gare... trust me"; the pain intensified and the voice grew louder and Jenny fell on her knees, holding her head. Gary ran out to get help, despite her telling him not to.

The pain stopped, Jenny opened her eyes and started walking; like nothing had happened. She left the school premises, speaking to no one, Gary went back to the computer lab to fetch Jenny but unfortunately, she wasn't there anymore. He went out looking for her, asked other students if they saw her and they directed him to the school entrance.

When got there he saw Jenny, leaving school, he ran towards her till she reached her and pulled her by her hand.

"Where are you going?"; Jenny turned around and Gary saw the most terrifying thing, Jenny's eyeballs were pitch black, Gary exclaimed, then Jenny warned him to turn around and not follow her or she will kill him. It didn't sound like Jenny at all, her voice was grim. Gary knew that wasn't Jenny speaking; out of fear, he ran away but stopped to watch where she was going.

After Jenny covered some distance, he followed her again but this time he made sure she doesn't notice she's being followed. Gary wanted to get help but he wanted to be sure what was going on first. Jenny took a turn into the woods; her walk was unconventional, Gary got more scared, he wanted to stop her because the woods can be dangerous as there are wild animals and occasionally, dangerous people like abductors or sex offenders.

He still had to follow her anyways even if it was dangerous for him, Jenny stopped by an oak tree, Gary hid behind the bushes and observed; Jenny started chanting in a strange language, then a woman appeared, a dark skin woman with dreadlocks and brown teeth, she looked haggard; took Jenny by the hand and led her away. Gary had to do something.

"Stop right there! Let her go!!" he shouted in fury. Rage in the woman's eyes, she ordered Jenny to attack Gary. Jenny under her influence, raised her right hand and Gary levitated from the ground, with a stronghold on his neck. Gary struggled to breathe, he let out a groan.

Jenny's mind was a puppet in the hands of this strange woman. "Kill the boy!" the woman ordered Jenny. The hold became stronger and Gary began to lose consciousness. Seeing Gary in pain somehow brought her out of the woman's control. Jenny's head began to hurt again.

The grip on Gary broke; he fell to the ground unconscious. The strange woman got disturbed, seeing that Jenny is fighting the magic she placed on her. The pain stopped and Jenny was in full control of her mind again. She saw her best friend on the ground lying unconscious. Jenny ran to see if he was okay and lucky for her, he was still breathing.

Jenny's eyes turned bloodshot again; indicating her overwhelming rage, she attacked the strange woman without mercy. A strong force hit the woman against a tree and then grabbed her by the neck. Jenny was livid, the strange woman was about to meet her demise in Jenny's hands.

"Who are you and what do you want from me??!"

The woman tried to escape Jenny's hold but all her efforts were futile, she hesitated to respond to Jenny's question, so Jenny intensified the grip on her neck, making it difficult or impossible for her to breathe; the woman was left with no choice but to give in.

"... Something bad is about to happen and it will be all because of you, you'll be the death of us all" her voice barely audible and her legs wriggling but Jenny released her grip immediately; the woman fell to the ground, trying to catch her breath.

Being perplexed, Jenny was taken aback by her response. "What do you mean? Tell me!!"

The woman stood up and began laughing loudly in a sinister manner and vanished into thin air.
