- YUNHO ; he is one year younger than yunho , their dynamic is a little bit of "opposites that protect each other" — although seoyun is younger , he tends to be the one protecting yunho . they trust each other the most out of the entire crew — if there is anything important seoyun knows , yunho is the first to know
- UNNAMED BROTHER ; their relationship is more complicated , as they never got along as children . because he is the youngest brother , he was often scolded for being reckless and thus he never spoke to his and yunho's brother after a certain age . he still cared but not as much as yunho did .

seoyun is yunho's younger brother, and halateez's guard dog. as a deceivingly sweet, innocent looking person, he is often put at the forefront of any mission and ends up being the first line of attack or defence. although he isn't the most confident in his close combat skills, he has always been entrusted with being the first to fire. he has also always been entrusted with being the first line of defence, especially due to his high intelligence and ability to figure out any issue or need for defence system.

seoyun has always been a generally quiet character who exudes a lot of false confidence — though to anyone looking from the outside in he would seem completely self assured. he struggled a lot at first with being able to trust all of the crew, but seemed to gradually find it easier to entrust work of his to them, and do what they asked him to.

when it comes to his background as a part of ateez, he was first brought in by yunho one day after seoyun got suspended from school and didn't wish to return home to be scolded by their other brother. he did not find comfort in the space at first but, gradually, he seemed to gravitate towards people more, mingi especially, and find his place in the crew. over some time, he became their lookout and protector, but wasn't there when their hideout was seized to protect it — still blames himself to this day.

in regards to mingi, he was the first (except yunho) who he found a semblance of comfort in. the fire between the two was very much a passion at first sight and seoyun had very easily given himself up to mingi not even days after they'd met. their passion burned bright and, for a long time and still to this day, seoyun believed that they were soulmates. he had sworn several times that he would die before letting anything happen to mingi.

san was similar in the way of passion and its strength, but their flame burned slower, albeit probably somewhat stronger. san and seoyun were probably the last people anyone expected to get as close as they did because they seemed to despise each other when they'd first met. it was in inexplicable feeling of intimidation and overall challenge but, one night and after a few too many drinks, the two had fallen into an affair and discovered that their hatred came from suppressed passion. since then, they have kept their matters secret, except from mingi. although difficult at first, it became clear that the arrangement between all of them would work. the crew knows about seoyun and mingi, but not about seoyun and san, and most certainly not about mingi and san.
