Parker paced back and forth, his head on the back of his palm. He stared at the overwhelming proof on the bulletin board in front of him.
It was true. Seokmin was in some kind of relationship with Joshua.
He brushed his hand against the board full of pictures of Joshua and Seokmin. He'd started suspecting their relationship a while back but he had no concrete proof until New Years day where he saw them kiss with his very own eyes.
It was unfair. That devil didn't deserve Seokmin. He deserved eternal pain and suffering, to rot in hell right where he belonged.
Parker had always hated Joshua, he perceived the man to be arrogant and way too proud. Sure he had some mediocre achievements but what made him better than everyone else?
Nothing. Exactly.
So why did he get to have Seokmin? When Parker was the one who stayed by Seokmin's side since the first day they met?
When Parker was the one who Seokmin should have been kissing on January 1st?
Angered, he kicked the board down, the pictures fluttering to the ground. He hit his fist on the desk in the room, blood pooling at his knuckles after.
"Min," He picked up one of the pictures, tearing it into two pieces and throwing Joshua's half away, "I'll give you one last chance, one last chance to make everything right."
He smiled but there was insanity behind his eyes as he planted a kiss on Seokmin's picture, placing it in his pocket.
"If not I'll have to do it myself." He glanced at Joshua's half, his lips dropping instantly, a cold expression on his face as he lifted his foot up, stepping on the picture.
"And I know exactly what I'll do."
..............
It had been one week since Joshua and Seokmin had become boyfriends and they were still in their honeymoon phase, giggling over everything the other person did.
"So have you decided to just not go to work today?" Seokmin questioned as he laid on Joshua's lap on the couch. "You're becoming one of those lazy CEOs."
Joshua chuckled, his gaze never leaving Seokmin. "You're the one making me a lazy CEO." He intertwined Dokyeom's fingers with his, the warmth in Dokyeom's hand circulating his.
"Me? No way, don't blame me for your laziness, Joshua Hong." Seokmin turned his face towards the TV but Joshua just shook his head and held Dokyeom's chin, turning his face right back to him.
"You're the one always sleeping over, and always asking me to be inside y-"
Seokmin quickly covered Joshua's mouth with his hand, shocked at Joshua's relaxed nature. Joshua's hand remained on Seokmin's chin and the touch was electrifying, the meeting of their eyes sent waves around Seokmin's body.
Joshua's other hand grabbed Seokmin's, pulling it away from his mouth slowly. "What's happened Mon Coeur, can't handle the truth?" Joshua's brow raised, his hotness exhibiting in his casual lounge wear that exposed his muscles.
"Oh, I can handle much more than the truth." Seokmin's eyes darted down to Joshua's dick before rising up to Joshua's face again.
"Oh really?" Joshua queried and Seokmin nodded slightly. "You're free to show me... how well you can handle me." Joshua lifted Seokmin off his lap, untangling their hands.
Seokmin huffed, glancing away before looking back at Joshua, his eyes ravaged Joshua's body, tensing him up everywhere.
In a second, Seokmin straddled himself on top of Joshua whose hands settled just above Dokyeom's ass while Seokmin's fingers coiled around Joshua's neck.
Their breathing intensified as they came closer to each other, the space between them evanesced. Just as Seokmin brought his lips closer to Joshua's, about to close the torturous gap, his phone buzzed, ruining the moment.
"Who is that? I'm going to shoot whoever it is." Joshua said through gritted teeth as he ran his hand through his hair.
Seokmin looked at the message on the screen.
'Hey Min, it's Parker. Come to the café near the company. Something urgent has come up.'
Seokmin reread the message, his eyes analysing every word. Something urgent?
Had his father perhaps... found out?
The anxiety churned in his stomach as he got off Joshua, trying to keep his cool but failing... horribly.
"Amour, what's wrong?" Joshua tried to hold him but Seokmin moved backwards. "Oh, it's just Vernon, I have to go to the company to settle some things!" He lied like it was the easiest thing to do in the world.
"Oh..." Joshua leaned back, still worried. There was something wrong with Dokyeom. Sweat had even started to trickle down the side of his head.
What was happening at the company?
"I'll be back soon, love you!" Seokmin kissed his cheek before going out of the living room and out of the house, heading straight for the café.
He felt like his heart was going to drop at any moment. He couldn't help but assume the worst. He really hoped that it wasn't urgent in the sense that it was life threatening.
He had to stay alive.
To be with Joshua.
.............
As Dokyeom left the house, Joshua reached for his phone on the coffee table, turning it on and calling Vernon's line.
The phone rang for a few seconds before it picked up, the static making Vernon's voice crack. "Good day, Boss." Vernon greeted. He didn't exactly sound like someone who had problems at work.
"About the Park guy you asked me to find, I've had no luck, Sir." Vernon passed on the information and Joshua sighed, acknowledging his efforts with a nod.
"That's fine, it was a hard task anyways." He dismissed the failure. Vernon, on the other side looked at the phone suspiciously. Mr. Hong, being okay with him failing a task? Who was this? An impostor?
Or was it just the effects of falling in love?
"Does Dokyeom have any leftover work he needs to settle?" Joshua asked, biting the skin off his lips as he waited impatiently for Vernon's reply.
"No, Sir, he's finished all his workload for the week, that's why he has a day off today." Vernon replied and Joshua sighed, a disappointed smile appearing on his face as he tried to evade the reality. The reality that Dokyeom lied to him.
"Why do you ask, sir?" Vernon questioned but Joshua just ended the call, tossing the phone aside. Vernon chuckled at the end of the line, putting his phone away. Now that was more like Mr. Hong.
Joshua crossed his arms and his legs, laying his head back and closing his eyes as millions of thoughts ran through his head like little, irritating flies.
Why was Dokyeom lying to him?
Was he cheating?
Or worse, did he have a secret wife and kids?
Was Joshua just his gay fantasy?
Okay, now he was just being silly. But he couldn't help it. He didn't want to just come to a random conclusion, not without finding out the truth but the thoughts were overflowing and a good majority of them were horrendous.
Jeonghan's words floated around again, this time, appearing right in front of him.
Everyone will always leave you in the end... including that little play thing of yours.
Was Jeonghan right? Did Dokyeom truly have plans on leaving him?
The fear he felt was unbearable. He had no choice. He had to confront Dokyeom. It was the only way.
The only way to save their relationship.
