"A perfect dinner?! For who??" Alex bursted out laughing knowing I'm not  really one who puts effort on something to make it perfect.

"Oh puh-lease!! You know who I'm talking about." I crossed my arms glaring at him.

"It would be better if Charlie was here..she's a perfectionist after all." Hans said shrugging.

"Where is she anyways??" Jade asked as Alex whispered in her ear causing my daughter to gasp.

"Rock-a-bye baby~~" Alex sung as everybody laughed.

I threw a pillow on him that hit him in the face.

"Don't think of your sister like that! She's probably working or something like that." I defended.

"Yep, definitely working. On getting dragged into a man's bed again. I saw her with a guy at the mall yesterday."

Samantha informed then I sighed. I felt a hand pat my shoulder, I looked up to see John smiling at me

"Don't worry Papa, I'll talk to her whenever I can. Anyways, moving along... I think you should try searching in the internet! None of us really has experience in extravagant dinners of sort except lil Mikhailo over here." 

"Hey!! Firsr of all, I'm not little. You just want me to show you how big I am! And do refrain from calling me Mikhailo! Why the hell you guys came up with that as my first name!" Alex pouts so John went over to hug him and pinch his cheek.

"Whatever asshole . Tell Papa about what you know, he helped you with your date in Venice so you gotta do something in return!"

He thinks for a moment before grinning.

"Oh oh I know! How about..picking a place with has a beautiful view, cute decorations, and of course yummy food. I haven't tried cooking for Ty yet, but I'm sure the person you'll be eating dinner with would be pleased if you cook your meal for him..or her."

I nodded in agreement but then I realized...

"I don't..cook.."

"Well, that's why we're here right?? I'll be teaching you! It's actually easy." Edward said moving behind me to wrap his arms around my neck.

"You've done so much for us Papa..it's time we do the same..."

I spent all night to research on Google..I feel like I could fall asleep anytime. But there was no time for that..

"John is our reservation all set??"

"Yes Papa!!"

"Samantha, are decorations good??"

"Better than it ever could be!!!"

"Alex, Edward..is the food ready??"

"It's super tasty and delicious that it would surely satisfy ya!!"

"Okay..you can leave now."

"Wait what?!" they all asked in chorus.

"I'll take it from here."

I then started to set the table and chairs glancing at my children who were whispering to each other.

"You mean.. you won't let us help you??"

Jade questioned so I shook my head as an answer.

"No, I really want to do this on my own. I'll be calling one of you if ever there would be a problem."

They nodded before one by one hugging me then walking away.

While I was fixing and working on the things that needed to be done, I thought to myself smiling.

The person I invited to have dinner with me?? He/she is someone special in my life...

He/She helped me in some/most parts of my life and I am very thankful to him/her.

This person cares for me.. I knew it because deep inside, he/she'll do anything it takes to protect me..I guess..

And this, this is just a simple appreciation gift for them.

{After a few hours}

I sat on the stool arms on table groaning tiredly.

I took one last look at the place before laying my head on my arms closing my eyes falling into deep slumber

"Dad?? Dad wake up please!!" I heard a voice coming from a familiar girl.

"Mm, C-Charlie..." I lifted my head up to see my little daughter sighing in relief.

"John texted me to go head straight to you!! I was so worried!!"

I snorted standing up to hug her. She sobbed and buried her face on my neck.

"So!! Who's the guy Samantha was talking about that you were with??"

"Oh dad!! He's a patient of mine!! He was really nice and he decided to treat me at the mall! I couldn't say no!!"

"Turns out that they were mistaken..after all. Wait... the boy's your /patient/??"

She giggled taking my hand in hers.

"Yes Papa..I'M FINALLY A REAL PSYCHIATRIST!! And it's why I bought you this!"

She pulled out a suit from a paper bag causing me to gasp.

"Charlie!! That's a very expensive gift!!"

"That you deserve..I won't be where I am now if it weren't for you..this is my way of saying thank you and.. I'm happy for the happy and peaceful life you're living now."

I smiled sweetly at her before pulling her for another tight hug.

"Charlie...you and your siblings are my inspiration. I'd be fine with losing everything..but not you guys. My only wish for all of you is to fulfil your dreams..and don't end up selling yourself to people just because you need to..there are many more things you could do than.. be a good-for-nothing-fuck. I've been through that, and it wasn't the best option. I managed to let all of you study and three of you finish with being a hunter, office worker and teacher. Everyone makes mistakes in life, I've done to many. And to prevent creating more, I'd be doing best to protect all of you.. this gift of yours is pretty much appreciated.. thank you so much."

She gave me a large grin that I had never seen in a while.

"Anytime dad..I'll be remembering those things you said..I promise."

We then heard some footsteps of coming towards us...it was you..
