(Caroline's POV)

A month that's how long I am without my sister. Everyone is without Ava.

Avery was our anchor. It feels like we all are losing ourselves. A half of ours is gone.

Kids are just locking themselves up and not able to move on. How can someone move on? When it's their mother who is dead! I was also doomed when my mom died...

Thea and Chris mostly stay at the Mikealson mansion. It's good!

"Lizzie Josie wake up," I shouted as the door was locked. They usually don't sleep with a lock door. "Caroline what happened?" Stefan came. "Twins are not opening the door," "but they are at the Mikealson's," I turned my face towards him. "Not Thea and Chris, I'm talking ab--" "I know you are asking about Lizzie and Josie and I'm telling you they are at the Mikealson's," confusion covered my face. "Why?"

I knocked on the door impatiently. Wanting to know. A servant opened it as me and Stefan walked in. We went towards the living area. Only to find Thea, Chris, Hope, Lizzie and Josie curled up on the couch, holding each other and sleeping.
"They came here last night, they said they want Thea and Chris so I let them stay," Klaus quietly said from the behind. "Oh no problem and thank you." He is the only one beside me and Stefan to take care of the kids.

Damon gave up on them...

"Good morning aunty Care," Thea spoke trying not to wake the others. "Go back to sleep Tee," I reassured her.

The day passed and the kids were still there. My phone rang.

Through the phone only I can feel Thea's big smile. I told Stefan to get ready in an hour for the dinner.

(Thea's POV)

"Aunty is coming" I told my dad as he was busy painting something. "What are you doing daddy?" He didn't reply. So I went near him. Only to find a half painted potrait of mom. He really loves her. "Thea I know Caroline is coming so can I have a moment of peace for a while?" "Yeah and for your information her eyes will be aligned like this," I took a pencil and lightly sketched the proportions. "I really miss her," the words from dad's mouth surprised me. "Me too," I said as drop of tears fell from both of our eyes. I slowly wrapped my hands around him and as I silently cried in his arms.

(Third POV)

Everyone sat down at the dinning table to start the dinner. First everyone was silent then Rebekah broke it. "We all have been in the sad mode, I thought to like over come it for few days we should go somewhere" everyone was delighted by Rebekah's offer. "yeah I guess it is a good idea," Chris spoke in agreement. Slowly everyone agreed to go. Except Klaus.

"So where should we all go and I guess your holidays are near, yes kids?" "Yeah aunty spring break," Thea told her. "We should go somewhere lake side, it's spring so it will be a great view," Lizzie said. "Yeah we can go to some beaches also." Everyone started to give their ideas when a perfect one strikes Thea's mind. "New Orleans. We will go to New Orleans," "what!" Hayley exclaimed. "Yeah, we will get to see where Hope has grown, dad has thrived and you all have lived," "that is a great idea Thea," Klaus spoke. "so it's finale. New Orleans."

(Avery's POV)

THE THRESHOLD

There was a loud ringing going inside my head. I slowly opened my eyes. Only to be met with a slightly less darker place. I gathered strength and stood up. "Hello! Somebody here?" I can hear voices but not able to tell what were they. Kids laughing, shouting, loud music and more. It made my head heavy. I clenched it. Trying to stop the voices. Slowly it became cleared. Thea's. Chris'. Kids'. Mikealsons'. Care's. Klaus'. Stefan's and more. But then again darkness took upon me and my body touched the ground.
