Luce had a pretty tough youth. His mother died pretty soon after his sisters birth, in a car crash. His father was driving while being drunk. His father survived pretty much unharmed. Lucian blames him for not having a mother.
His fathers drinking habits gotten worse after this and so did their relationship.
