EIGHT

Waking the following day, you and Haldir led the Fellowship to Caras Galadhon, where the lady of the light and the other elves of Lorien rescinded. You were walking in front, your back the only view of your friends. Legolas and Aragorn had come up to you this morning, asking how you knew them. And how you knew Gandalf. You had told them that all would be revealed in time and said no more. The two males accepted your answer even tho they were sending curious glances at you.
Entering the trees, a calm feeling watched over you, and you smiled in contentment, nodding small smiles to the elves who waved to you. "Follow us," you said softly and walked up a flight of stairs that widened up against the tree trunk. Ascending a winding stairway amongst the trees, you walked over to stand beside Haldir, sending the Fellowship curious looks to see their reaction. With a glow issuing forth from them, the Lord and Lady of Lothlorien descend to meet the Fellowship, hand in hand. You see Aragorn do a greeting, and you smile. "nine that are here yet ten there were set out from Rivendell. Tell me, where is Gandalf? For I much desire to speak with him." the lord's words got some of the Fellowship to frown. The last time they checked, they were only eight. What was the lord of Lothlorien implying?
You saw Galadriel looking at Aragorn, reading the answer in his eyes. You had not spoken about the fall of the gray wizard, you knew he would return, but that's for you to know. Galadriel then says, drawing your attention to her. "He has fallen into shadow." she then looks at you, who nods subtly in answer, but the pain is gone from your face. Galadriel sees this and tilts her head in question, but you say nothing, so she turns back to your friends. "The quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray a little, and it will fail to ruin all." the lady says. The lady looks at Boromir, who can't stand her gaze. He starts shaking and casts his eyes downwards. You see this and tilt your head, eyes hidden by your white cloak, which you still bear. You would reveal yourself soon, in the land of Rohan.
"Yet hope remains while the company is true," Galadriel says and glances at you and sam; while you do not stray your eyes from the group, sam holds his on the lady of light. "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Go now and rest, for you are weary with sorrow and much toil. Tonight you will sleep in peace." she says, and you see her sending you a nod, meaning you and Haldir shall lead the group to their sleeping place for the night. You bow your head, saying to hadlir in western, "let's go; the fellowship shall sleep" the guard nods, smiling at you.
You and hadlir lead them back on the ground to an area that has been provided for them to rest.
You arrived at the place where the Fellowship would sleep with some food, seeing The hobbits are settling down to rest. In the trees, the elves of Lorien singing can be heard. you smile sadly as you understand their words. "A lament for Gandalf." legoals says and suddenly turns to you as he has sensed your presence. "lady white, an honor being in your presence. What brings you here at this hour?" he says as he smiles at you. You smile back under the hood of your cloak and hold forth the bowl of fruit and other pastries you've gotten from the kitchen. "I wanted to give you some late-night food. I heard lady darkscale used to give you that" legoals looked shocked for a minute before a smile returned to his face, and he took the fruit bowl gracefully.
"Thank you, lady white. Indeed she did," he said and gave you a slight nod before returning to his friends and handing them something from the bowl. You sat down not far from them, feeling happy in their presence once again. Suddenly you felt a presence beside you and looked up to meet Frodo's blue irises. He seemed... comfortable around you, as he used to be when you were in the Fellowship. "hey, young one. Do you need any help?" you said, eyes never leaving his. He could see them now, glinting inside the darkness of the hood. His eyes widened as he recognized them, but he didn't say antyiogn and turned back to look at the Fellowship.
"just I have this feeling, deep inside my heart. It's saying that lady darkscale arent.. dead. Nor Gandalf. I wish they would come back. We need their guidance. Aragorn is a good leader, but how long could he go on without guidance? even a ranger would need some help from time to time." he says, turning back to look into your violet orbs. "Do you think she'll be back? Any of them?" he asked. you sat silent for a while before answering. "I believe yes. one day, you'll see them again, and they will be unharmed. Their begins would bathe in light, and their clothes would be white as the moon. And strong their power. Just keep your hope, young one, and they'll come" with that, you said goodnight and teleported back to your chamber in a tree not far from where the Fellowship rested.
You needed time to think about what happened now and earlier. You were once again with the Fellowship, but they didn't know. You sighed, taking off your white clock and getting under the covers. Sleep consumes you at once, and a stary world appears.

"I sit beside the fire and think
Of all that I have seen
Of meadow flowers and butterflies
In summers that have been
Of yellow leaves and gossamer
In autumns that there were
With morning mist and silver sun
And wind upon my hair
I sit beside the fire and think
Of how the world will be
When winter comes without a spring
That I shall ever see
Still, there are so many things
That I have never seen
In every wood in every spring
There is a different green
I sit beside the fire and think
Of people long ago
And people that will see a world
That I shall never know
But all the while, I sit and think
Of time there were before
I listen for returning feet
And voices at the door."
