"Girls, I've called you in here today for one reason." Cosette said as she walked into the board room meeting office, throwing down a file.

In the office was Cassie, Emersen, Calista, Lakyn, and Natasha, the only women in the DREAM TEAM league other than Cosette.

Cosette sighed and sat down at the head of the board table. "Evolution. What's that mean?" Cosette asked as she sat up in her chair."

"Well, uh, it means the gradual development of something, especially from a simple to a more complex form." Emersen said, explaining it perfectly, Cosette nodded her head and opened up the file.

She pulled out a piece of paper, "This girl right here is Jessica Raines. She's a good player. She's a right wing, a sniper, and she's only 19 so she's young." Cosette said as she stood up from her chair.

"Cap, what are these for?" Cassie asked confused, her eyebrows knitted together in confusion because her nor any of the other girls knew what was going on.

"Its called an evolution. A women's evolution. Women's hockey is underrated and we, as a group of female hockey players, need to save what we love." Cosette sighed as she picked the paper up and stuck it in the file, closing the file and tossing it on top of the filing cabinet.

"Have we seen Jessica play?" Cosette asked no one in particular.

"I've seen her play, she's good, she'd be a great addition to the league." Natasha said, nodding her head.

"Okay, I'll get into contact with her about this soon." Cosette said, nodding her head.

"How will the teams be divided out?" Calista asked and the other girls nodded their heads.

"We hold a training camp, see what they got and if they are good than we go from there, anyone flunking gets sent home." Cosette explained

"But cap, if a girl flunks, this is a women's evolution, shouldn't we help her get better?" Cassie asked.

"Right now, we just need the best of the best and we can focus on helping others get better later." Cosette said, pinching the bridge of her nose.  

"Okay, we can talk more about this tomorrow, let me talk to Jessica about the offer. Meeting dismissed." Cosette said and the girls got up and started to leave.

"Hey Tash, if we have any games while I'm out with this thing, take my spot on starting, okay?" Cosette asked her with a slight smile. Natasha's face lit up, "Of course I will!" She said, trying to hold back her excitement.

"Okay, I'll be on the ice in 20, let me just call Jessica." Cosette laughed and grabbed her phone, dialing the number she was given for Jessica.

The phone rang a few times and someone picked up.

Right now, every girl the ages 17 and up were waiting for this phone call, for Cosette to ask them to be apart of the evolution.

"Is this Jessica Raines?" Cosette asked as she looked at Jessica's info.

At Jessica's house, her parents and boyfriend were anxiously trying to listen in.

"Yes, this is Jessica Raines, who's this?" Jessica asked despite knowing who it was.

"This is Cosette Rentz, captain of the Eastern Team and head of the womens evolution for the DREAM TEAM league. I've had a few scouts at your games and I'd like to say, from what I'm hearing, I'm overly impressed, so that being said, starting August 15th, is training camps, training camps starts as early as next week but majority will be training August 15thz so with that being said, I'd like to offer a try out for the Evolution." Cosette said as she grabbed a pen and a piece of paper.

"Omg, uh, I would absolutely love to try out!" Jessica said, trying to hold in her excitement.

"Okay then, training camps are in Toronto, so we can fly you out or your parents can, its up to you." Cosette said as she wrote down her name for tryouts.

"Uhhh, my parents can fly me out." Jessica said nervously, she was so happy and nervous right now, it was insane.

"Okay then Jessica, I'll see you soon, bye." Cosette said before hanging up and writing down some information.

Jessica turned around and looked at her parents and Jack in complete and udder shock, "Who was it!?" Jack asked her excitedly.

"That was Cosette Rentz, offering me a try out for Evolution." Jessica said, frozen in excitement, still trying to process in her mind what had just happened.

"Thats fantastic sweetheart!" Her parents exclaimed happily.

"Jessica, just know, she may be really hard on you because she wants you to be the best you can be." Jack said to her softly.

Jessica sighed, "I know." That was the one part she wasn't looking forward to, how hard Cosette would be on not only her but all the girls there.

Meanwhile,

"Girls, we got our first tryout of thousands." Cosette smiled as she walked into the locker room and sitting down at her lockerspace.

"Jessica Raines, right?" Emersen asked and Cosette nodded. "She's flying out here, I wrote down that she is opting for the extra weeks in training camp, smart move." Cosette smiled as she took her shoes off.

"How many girls filled out the base application for this?" Cassie asked her.

"Around 500,000 girls applied and I'm only choosing around a thousand, but only a select few will continue to play with the DREAM TEAM league in the coming years." Cosette explained.

"C'mon, we gotta hit the ice, we havent been on in weeks!" Natasha groaned.

Calista laughed, "Its been too fucking long since we've been out there." 

"I remember when i was so emotionless and so blah." Cosette laughed, shaking her head, "Why didn't someone take the stick out of my ass sooner!" Cosette exclaimed dramatically.

"It was the jackass, Noah." Emersen said with a smirk.

"No, i think it was when she was losing her records." Cassie laughed.

Cosette laughed and shook her head, they all quickly changed into their hockey gear, "C'mon girls, lets hit the ice." Cosette laughed.

They all skated out and for a while just were messing around, "Hey, who's that?" Cassie asked in confusion, pointing at the person walking towards them.

"Ovechkin." Cosette said with a smirk, shaking her head. "Good old Ovechkin." Cosette laughed as she shook her head

Cosette skated up to him, "Its been a while." Cosette laughed nervously.

"It has been, and it's been too long." Ovechkin said with a laugh.

"I heard about this Evolution?" he asked her.

"Yeah, its a women's hockey thing." Cosette said to him.

"How about I set up a training camp in Washington and you can help train there?"

"I cant leave my girls though." Cosette sighed.

"But its hockey Cosette, what would the you from a year ago do?" Alex asked her

Cosette sighed, was she really thinking about leaving her best friends and help training in toronto to go train with her old trainer in Washington, a part of her told her no but her gut told her yes.
