POV

It was a day at the Creme Republic. You had been working the whole day while Clotted Cream Cookie was relaxed.

Hurtful things had been said to Clotted Cream, but he pushed them aside but they always came back when he was alone.

Work at the Creme Republic kept you really later than expected, but you were really excited to get home and fall asleep in Clotted Cream's arms.

After you opened the door to the inside of the Creme Republic, you noticed that it was quiet. "It wasn't usually quiet.." You thought to yourself.

Clotted Cream was nowhere to be seen. You looked in the kitchen, the living room, and anywhere where he could be.

You came down to your bedroom. Upon your room was awfully empty until you heard faint cries and sobs quietly coming from the garden.

You decided that walking in wasn't a good plan and you decided to listen to his cries.

"I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to do anything wrong! It's all my fault!"

You bent down to Clotted Cream to comfort him.

"Clotted Cream? Is everything okay?" You said.

Clotted Cream was a bit stumbled at you being home. He tried to wipe his tears off his face, but his red eyes gave away that he had been crying for a while now.

"I-I'm fine. Just leave me alone." Clotted Cream said.

You sat down with Clotted Cream to get eye level as he pulled his legs to his chest to attempt to hide his face from you.

"Clotted Cream, I can't help you if you don't tell me what's wrong. What's wrong? What happened?" You said, putting your arm around Clotted Cream.

"I said.. I'm fine! Please, just leave me alone!" Clotted Cream said.

You realized that Clotted Cream's outbursts made you really upset when he had these. Tears started streaming down his face again.

He leaned forward into your chest, resting his head on the crook of your neck and began sobbing. You wrapped your arm around his waist and the other around his hair.

You pulled him closer to you and let him sit in between your legs.

"Do you still love me?" Clotted Cream said.

You were surprised he said such a thing.

"Of course I love you, honey. Why ask such a thing?" You said.

"Well, these thoughts have been appearing in my head, and everyone thinks I'm a bad person. I just don't want you to feel the same way. I don't want you to leave either." Clotted Cream said.

You had never seen him this scared and worried. You put your hand on his chin to make him look up at you. Your hands swiped over his eyes to wipe away the tears.

"Look Clotted Cream. I know these thoughts are getting in your head, but you need to ignore them. You're perfect the way you are and you always will be. No one knows you the way I do. Don't let those thoughts get into your head, okay? I won't leave you. I never will leave you. I love you, Clotted Cream." You said, hugging him.

A small smile appeared on his face. He leaned in and gave you a kiss and lifted you up. He laid you down on the bed and got in after you, laying his bed on your chest and wrapping your arms around you.

"I love you, sweetie." You said.

"I love you too, baby." Clotted Cream said.

You both then went to sleep after. Clotted Cream listened to your heartbeat.
