Chapter two: The union of two people.
<=>
For whatever reason during the ceremony whenever Olivia and Ron caught eyes they would laugh, from them it progressed to the twins, and then to Ginny. Then Charlie found himself laughing at them trying not to laugh and so on until it reached Alissa. Of course attending the wedding of her best friend and being her Maid of Honour, stood behind Tonks she had tried her best to keep herself from letting a laugh slip.
All was going swimmingly until Tonks turned around to hand her vows over and take the ring. The two Bridesmaids had tried so hard not to laugh and meeting Tonks eyes finally tipped them over the edge. Olivia laughed under her breath, tears pooling in her eyes for the fact she was laughing that much and that Tonks was finally wedding Remus after centuries work. Alissa, not on the quiet scale, snorted before clapping a mortified hand over her mouth. From then Charlie laughed at his fiancรฉe and then Tonks started to laugh, setting off every single guest in attendance.
The wizarding priest had given them the time they needed to just laugh, none of them used to such serious scenarios where a straight face was required. Olivia caught Ron's eye again however, standing opposite her and behind her Godfather and had to bite down hard on her tongue to stop herself from doing anything.
The end of the ceremony was a relief to many, most holding their breath in fear they would laugh again. However it was a beautiful moment to witness Tonks and Remus coming together as they were pronounced Man and Wife. A tear had been brought to Olivia's eye, Alissa stood behind her crying a downpour, when it dropped she noticed drizzling outside of the tent even though the sky was clear as day.
She worked quickly to push any other tears away and the rain stopped instantly.
The small guest list was then invited back to The Burrow where Molly Weasley had worked tirelessly to arrange the small after party. Olivia, Ron and the Twins left together by apparation, leaving Ginny to travel with her parents and were one of the first to arrive back to The Burrow. They walked up to the set up that had half a dozen tables and chairs set up behind the house and covered with an anti-weather charm.
Fred had passed around glasses of Fire Whiskey and had gladly took one from Ginny's hand, drinking the alcohol for himself, "Ah ah ah little sister, you're underage." He had mocked with a raised brow.
A little into the night Olivia had gone over to congratulate the happy couple, who were with their respective families. She saw her Godfather first, running over to him expertly in her heels and wrapping her arms around his middle in an embrace, "Congratulations Moony, I never thought I'd see the day."
Remus laughed as Olivia pulled away, "I'm sorry, do I know you?" He asked jokingly, "For a minute there I thought you were my best friend."
Olivia laughed, "No, I'm his offspring although I'm happy to take a message."
They both laughed, bright grins covering their faces. Someone nearby cleared their throat, bringing Remus to mumble under his breath, "Olivia, this is my father Lyall Lupin. Dad this is my Goddaughter, Olivia."
"No need for introductions Remus." Lyall said, dismissing his son with a wave of his hand, "It's impossible not to know her, she's the most famous witch in the wizarding world."
"It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Lupin, now I see where Remus gets his looks." Olivia said, offering her hand.
"Oh nonsense." Lyall said, ignoring her hand and instead bringing her into an embrace, "and call me Lyall, Mr. Lupin makes me feel old." He joked. They parted, a smile gracing Olivia's lips as she nodded, "I am beyond proud of my son to be godfather to such a wonderful young lady and I'm sure my son is proud to be your godfather."
Remus nodded, "Beyond proud, Dad."
"Did anyone ever tell you how alike you are of your father?" Lyall asked the girl, "The resemblance is uncanny, I feel as if I'm meeting the female version of Sirius."
A breathy laugh left her lips, "I hardly doubt that, my father was a saint compared to me."
"I beg to differ Olivia." Lyall laughed, "My son and your father along with James created havoc everywhere they looked. It was only every other week I received a letter from Professor McGonagall that they had wound themselves up in detention again."
Olivia smiled and bit her bottom lip, looking over to Remus who just shook his head, "I was just about to head off and speak to Tonks before you two leave on your honeymoon. It was a pleasure meeting you Lyall, I hope to see you again soon." She said politely as the eldest Lupin embraced her again. She looked over his back to Remus and winked, nodding her head once before pulling away and walking over to the bride.
"You never did answer my question before the ceremony Nymphadora." She called out smugly, approaching her and her parents.
Tonks scowled at her as she came to stand next to her, throwing her left arm over her shoulder, "I will kill you." Tonks said in a low voice.
Olivia smiled, "I don't doubt it." She whispered back. "So what should I be calling you? Tonks or Lupin?" She said louder.
"I'm not changing my name Olivia."
"Your not?" Tonks' dad asked.
"No, not in that way. Of course I'm changing my name." She assured, "But you can still call me Tonks."
Olivia winked and patted her shoulder, "You got it Dora."
Tonks shook her head before looking back up to her parents, "Mum, dad this is Olivia. Olivia meet my parents, Andromeda and Ted."
Andromeda, whom she had already heard about from her father, resembled a nicer looking and prettier version of Bellatrix. She had soft brown hair, curled of course with matching eyes. Olivia smiled in her direction and extended her arm, "How could I not know my father's favourite cousin?" She had asked, shaking her hand.
Andromeda laughed, "Of course he told you, how could he not?"
"To be quite honest, I think you were the only person he ever liked." Olivia said.
"Now that does not surprise me one little bit." She laughed, "I understand your dating my nephew?"
Olivia faulted. She shifted uncomfortably and swallowed a lump that had formed in her throat, "Uhm, yeah, I guess. I don't actually know anymore, we haven't spoken since before the battle."
Andromeda shook her head, "I'm only teasing with you, I've never actually met the boy myself. Something of my sisters doing, apparently I'm not deemed worthy to be in their presence."
"Neither am I and to be .. bluntly honest I'm glad. I can't abide their obsession with pureblood supremacies." She smiled, "at least we have something in common."
"You sounded exactly like your father there."
"I've had that all night." She laughed, then turned to look at her mother who stood with Remus. The pair were laughing with Lyall, all wearing bright smiles on their faces.
"Then I'd tell you were a carbon copy of him, minus the small beard and moustache but I know it's nothing you don't know already."

That night Olivia sat with Ginny in their shared bedroom. The two girls occupied the window seat where they sat either side and looked out, the warm breeze kissing their skin softly. Olivia wore one of Draco's t-shirts that was much too big for her with some cotton shorts and long, fluffy socks to keep her feet warm. Her much too long hair was pulled up into a messy bun, small and loose curls falling from it and down into her face.
"I think it's about time I ask you how you are." Olivia said, her arms and legs crossed lightly.
"How do you mean?" Ginny asked, still looking out to the stars.
"I mean after, well .. you know."
"After Harry breaking up with me?" She replied bluntly, looking to Olivia. Olivia nodded her head. Ginny looked back out to the stars, "I'm trying not to think about it but I understand why he did it, he was just trying to keep me safe."
"That's his problem, he's too focused on keeping other people safe." Olivia sighed.
"He doesn't know that though." Ginny defended, "He just thinks he's doing right by cutting ties with those around him." A silence settled between the two as Olivia picked up her hot chocolate from the side and took a sip. She took it between her hands when Ginny spoke again, "I'm gutted if I'm being honest, although I suppose it's nothing compared to what you and Malfoy went through when you split."
Olivia found the constellation she had been looking for, remembering one of the few Astronomy lessons she attended in her fifth year.
She was leaning into Draco's side, her eyes closed as Professor Sinistra want on about the constellations and stars. Olivia felt Draco's body shake underneath her as her heavy eyes fluttered open to see the Professor stood in front of the pair with a stern expression on her face.
"Warwick need I remind you to stay awake in my class. You've missed plenty of my lessons this year alone."
Olivia yawned, "With good reason Professor."
Blaise snorted as the woman shot him a look, "And the reasons?"
"I know what I'm doing."
The woman stood up straight, "Oh really? Well then you'd have no problem naming a few stars and constellations for me."
Olivia shook her head lazily, "Not at all Professor."
"Very well, this one," She said pointing to the first star on the map.
Olivia almost laughed at the irony, "Sirius." She answered looking over to Harry with a smile on her face.
"And this one?"
"Pandora." Sinistra pointed a constellation, "Orion." Then to a star in Orion's constellation, "Bellatrix." She pointed to another constellation and Olivia sighed knowing which it was, "No matter which star or constellation you point at Professor I know it's name, we'll be here until morning if we carry on."
The Professor grumbled, "How can you name every star and constellation? No one your age is capable. In my life I've only had one student who knew them all before he left school."
"My family are quite the experts." She mused, a deviant smile on her face.
"You're mother was a menace at Astronomy."
"Oh Professor I know, but my father? He knew it all."
From the other side of the room Harry and Olivia's eyes met as he gave her a wicked smile. Draco nudged his girlfriend causing her to lift her head upwards to look at him.
"Why'd you stop, you could of kept going and put us out of our misery."
"Because love." She smiled pointing to the constellation above them Professor Sinistra had questioned her on, "That one's named after you."
"Hm." She mumbled, "I suppose so."
"Did you ever read that letter in the end?" Ginny asked.
Olivia nodded, looking from Draco's constellation to the first drawer of her shared nightstand, "I read it on that night, sitting out on that roof and looking up to the same constellation .. I keep it under the clothes in my drawer over there."
"What did it say? If you don't mind me asking."
She shook her head, "No, not at all .. he said about how he was sorry and that he still promises me forever, even if I spend the rest of my life hating him."
Ginny's heart warmed and for the first time in her life she understood Draco Malfoy. She concluded he wasn't like most boys. Yeah, he could be a prat when he wanted to, they'd been plenty of that over the years, but he knew when he had something good. Everyone had something good. Olivia was Draco's something good and he was hers.
Ginny opened her mouth to speak again but a loud cry followed by the familiar call of Molly Weasley travelled through the house. The two girls looked to each other and rolled their eyes, "Duty calls huh?" Olivia joked, standing up from the window seat with her hot chocolate in one hand. She offered the other to Ginny.
"What do you reckon she'll have us doing at this ungodly hour?"
"It's only just after ten Gin, it's not like it's three in the morning and beats me." She said following the ginger out of her room and down the spiral staircase. It seemed everyone had been assembled down, the twins and Ron just in front of them. When they reached the bottom of the stairs they looked over into the kitchen where Molly seemed to be having a hard time from quite literally bursting, her face bright red and tears brimming her eyes.
Around her was Bill, Fleur, Alissa, Charlie and Arthur who where all grinning, leaving Olivia to remove the sense of dread she had built seeing Molly first. The teens all shared confused glances before looking onwards to the others.
"What's going on mum?" Ron asked curiously for the five.
"No, no." Molly shook her head, "It's not mine to tell." The mother stepped back and looked expectingly to Alissa and Charlie. Olivia, bored of not being in the loop, took a sip of her hot chocolate before it grew cold.
"We're having a baby." Alissa announced and suddenly Olivia knew why Molly was acting the way she was.
She inhaled deeply in shock, the hot chocolate flying to the back of her throat where she choked. Then unintentionally the mug slipped from her fingers and fell to the floor, shattering as she started to cough.
"Bloody hell." Ron gaped, looking to his elder brother while hitting Olivia's back for her as she bent over.
After a few moments she straightened herself out and gaped, "A word of warning would've been nice."
"We just gave you it!" Charlie exasperated.
Olivia pulled a face at him, stepping over the broken glass and running over to the couple. She pulled them into an embrace before pulling away and placing her hands on Alissa's stomach, "Hey baby, I'm your Aunt Olivia. We're gonna have the best of time with your Uncle Fred and George." She smirked.
"Oh no. You three are not corrupting my child."
"Whatever you say Alissa." Fred said, the four coming over to the kitchen.
"Mischief has a way in this family." George aided.
Alissa opened her mouth to argue her case but was interrupted by Mad-Eye Moody and Kingsley Shacklebolt walking unannounced through the front door. Everyone turned to look at them consecutively, "Kingsley, is something the matter?" Arthur asked.
"No, not at all. We need a favour." The man asked.
"And what would that be?" Molly chirped.
"It's not you we require the favour of Molly." Mad-Eye grumbled.
"Then who?" Olivia found herself asking.
She met Mad-Eye's gaze, not faulting underneath it, "You."

I just came up with a super good flashback, I'll probably be spending the night trying to work it into the story line now.
