Chapter thirty one; Malfoy Manor

<=>

"Get Draco."

The words echoed through Olivia's hazy mind as she stood in the darkness of Malfoy Manor. Her heart was thumping in her chest as she stood predominantly on one foot, her arms pinned behind her by a Snatcher.

The sadistic grin Bellatrix Lestrange had aimed in Olivia's direction caused her stomach to churn, bile rose in her throat at the fear of the unknown. Her hands trembled behind her as she tried to pull off a facade of a strong exterior, instead of her rattled emotions.

It was abundantly clear that Lucius Malfoy wasn't expecting company in his home that day, especially Arthur Weasley's youngest son and the girl his son loved. Olivia noticed the slight fear waver in his eyes as he closed the door behind him and looked to his sister-in-law, "What is the meaning of his Bellatrix?"

The woman grinned looking to her brother-in-law, "They found 'em running in the forest," She pointed to Harry, "they're claiming that's Harry Potter."

"What about the others?"

"We all know she's on the Dark Lords undesirable list." Bellatrix told Lucius while stalking to Olivia, "You didn't half scruff her up." She noticed, touching the red liquid on her forehead.

"She was putting up a rather difficult fight."

Bellatrix hummed, "I can imagine."

"What do you suppose we do now Bellatrix? You can't call the Dark Lord without proof the boy is who he's claimed to be."

Still infatuated with taunting Olivia, Bellatrix replied to Lucius, "That's why I called for Draco, he should be along any minute."

Olivia clenched her jaw while glaring at Bellatrix, her stomach was twisting itself into various knots and completing several flips at the mention of his name. In her own mind she knew where she was involved, Draco would deny it was Harry until he couldn't no more. Olivia was Draco's main weakness, everyone knew that.

"You think the boy will turn his own girlfriend over?" Greyback snarled from besides her.

"No." Bellatrix said simply before turning away from her and walking towards the drawing room, "It's a shame she's dead though. I'm sure Draco will be heartbroken."

For the first time since arriving, Olivia made a noise. She laughed bitterly while pulling herself away from the Snatchers grip, "You what?" The Snatcher tightened his grip on her arms.

Lucius stood wide eyed, his eyes flickering from Bellatrix to Olivia as the older witch stopped by the doors and turned around, "Didn't you know?" She pouted, "You were found dead in Hogsmeade."

Olivia scoffed, fire swirling in her eyes as she continued to fight, "When?"

Bellatrix looked upwards while humming before fixing her eyes back on Olivia, "About five minutes ago."

Olivia thrashed against the Snatcher as Bellatrix walked away, "What? No! You can't tell him that!"

"I can tell him whatever I want dearie." She laughed, "Fetch the others will you and keep her away from Draco."

As Harry, Ron and Hermione were pushed forwards further into the manor to follow after Bellatrix, Olivia continued to fight, "You can't do this Bellatrix! He's not stupid, he won't believe you!"

Bellatrix curled her fingers around the large wooden door and looked back to Olivia one final time, "I assure, you I can and I will."

She left, her horrid laugh reverberating off the damp looking walls as Lucius stood frozen in place. It was her and him as well as the Snatcher left and Olivia looked to him pleadingly, "You can't let her do this Lucius." She told him, fighting to move forwards, "Are you really going to let her destroy him like that?"

Lucius faced her with his mouth ajar slightly and wide eyes, "How else will I restore my family in the eyes of The Dark Lord? There is no other way."

"You care more about him than you do your own son?" Olivia scoffed, "What kind of a pathetic excuse of a father you are."

"He'll find someone else in due time." He said dismissively, turning his back to her and taking his leave, "One who's not a blood-traitor. That should teach him a lesson."

Olivia fought more โ€” against the pain and the odds โ€” as he left her there to follow after the others, "Lucius! You can't do this. You fucking arsehole!"

<=>

Olivia dug her heels into wooden floor as she was being dragged along, kicking and screaming. The Snatcher covered her mouth with his hand to prevent her making anymore noise while muttering into her ear.

She took the opportunity and bit his hand, causing him to scream and release her completely.

Olivia scoffed, "That was shameful." She told him, limping on one foot, "I bit you."

"You bit me!"

"Oh my god." She rolled her eyes while lifting her right up hand and whispering under her breath, "Bombarda."

The Snatcher went into the pillar with a bang and he fell to a heap on the floor in front of her. "That was just too easy." She muttered to herself, wiping the blood trickling down her face away and retrieving her wand from inside his jacket. She stood up as best as she could and looked down to him while pondering. Olivia checked both sides of the corridor for anyone coming after the noise she had created.

When they failed to show she picked him up by the collar of his large jacket and pulled him to where they had just come from. She pushed through the biting pain in her ankle from the fresh wound inflicted upon her by Greyback and used her strength to pull the oversized man singlehandedly.

"Well don't you weigh a bloody tonne?" She muttered to herself through pants, "Merlins beard."

She checked over her shoulder while continuing to pull him along until she got to the doors before the drawing room. She dropped him to the floor, listening as his head hit off the floor and raised a brow. Pulling out her wand, Olivia levitated him as she heard Lucius shouting from behind the door.

She grasped the cold brass in her fingers and took a deep breath. This, whatever she was about to do, whatever was about to happen was Olivia's absolute worst fear. Her fear for the unknown was ploughing it's way to defeating her own mindset, it's what caused her hands to tremble and her stomach to churn. It was her mental block and for the sake of Harry, Ron and Hermione, for the sake of herself, she needed to push past it.

She swallowed thickly and turned the doorknob, opening the tall black doors and forcing herself to walk in normally, as if she was in no pain.

No one seemed to notice her at first, all too consumed in Harry's messed up face as Bellatrix spoke, "If you call him and it's not him, he'll kill us all."

"What's wrong with his face?"

That was it.

That was when she spotted Draco kneeling down on the floor, right in front of Harry with his back to her. It caused her heart to flutter in her chest, butterflies to implode in her stomach and most importantly..

Bang.

Her concentration to break as she Snatcher she was levitating fell five or so feet to the floor.

As everyone snapped round to look to the direction of the noise Olivia's head snapped to the side to see the Snatcher on the floor besides her. She cringed when she saw the way his arm had twisted when he fell and looked back to everyone watching her, "Sorry about that."

An immediate smirk danced across her lips as she saw Lucius and Bellatrix's furious expressions alongside Narcissa's shock.

The woman pointed to her while looking to her husband and eldest sister, "You-you told me, us, she was-she wasโ€”"

"โ€”dead?" Olivia cocked a brow.

Hearing her voice, Draco rose to his feet in complete shock. He couldn't decipher whether it was a fragment of his imagination after finding out Olivia had died or if it was actually her. Slowly he turned to face the direction of the sound and drew in a sharp breath at the sight of her.

She was leaning predominantly on her right ankle, which confused Draco as he knew she walked with her left foot forwards, blood stained the visible parts of her skin surrounding her left foot and the bottom of her blue jeans. Her clothes, face and hands were covered in a mixture of blood and mud. Her hair was a cotty mess and the red substance stained the left side of her face.

There was no denying that Draco was staring at a ghost, the smirk on her face was too real and the paleness of his mother's face assured him otherwise.

"They make quite a habit out of lying to you, don't they Narcissa?" Olivia spoke smugly as she looked to the spluttering mother. "How did they tell you I died?"

The strained reply came from someone different, "They didn't."

Olivia met Draco's shocked and bloodshot eyes and immediately felt her heartstrings ripping themselves to pieces. The couple hadn't seen one another in several months, and the change the depicted in one another was clear. Their last words spoke were words of an argument which led to one of Olivia's biggest regrets.

She felt guilty for the way the he was now. How terrified he looked, actually being in the position physically where he stood on opposing sides as her. It was like she had always stated; he was the boy who didn't have a choice.

It took so much mental and physical strength to not run to Draco and throw herself at him, to cry into his shoulder and apologise for everything she had done to wreck their relationship. She just wanted to be safe in his arms.

Olivia knew that was physically impossible. Their world was divided and they fought on opposing sides, they play for different sides.

Despite the urge to throw herself at Draco, the urge to hold him and kiss him and never let go of him, Olivia focused every ounce of strength she had left into ignoring his presence. It was for the best.

It seemed Bellatrix had eyed Olivia's wand in her hand as she left her nephews side and stalked towards her, "It was you wasn't it?" She asked, pointing to the wood in her hand while grinning maliciously, "Give me your wand, we'll see what your last spell was."

Olivia took great pride in wiping the grin off Bellatrix's face, "You'll find yourself falling short." She said, "My wand doesn't record every spell I preform."

Narcissa stepped forwards with a frown etched into the deepest crevices of her face, "Why would that be? Every spell a person performs is known byโ€”"

Bellatrix scowled at Olivia menacingly, it rattled something within her and she clenched her jaw firmly shut. Olivia could see the fury in her eyes, Bellatrix was beyond livid that she was beating her at her own game. No matter what they came up with to beat the eighteen year old, nothing ever worked.

"โ€”She wasn't in possession of her wand, were you girly?" Bellatrix snarled. She looked to Greyback accusingly, "You had her wand didn't you? So its impossible for her to have used it to of cast the spell."

Narcissa took another step, "You can't preform magic without a wand, it'sโ€”"

"โ€”not for her it's not." Lucius clicked on, "She's one of a kind."

Olivia could only smirk as she felt the gold clasp of her bracelet against her pale skin. Without it, preforming that jinx would've been impossible, but her retrieval of it had adapted her circumstances greatly.

In the midst of their stare down, Bellatrix had torn her eyes from Olivia's and looked just over her shoulder in disbelief. Her action threw Olivia, as he was preparing herself to duel Bellatrix but as she pushed past her she could only turn to see what had caught her eye.

Olivia turned on her heel to see another Snatcher had been stood behind her but he was holding something. That something was what had seemingly rattled Bellatrix from her stare down.

"What's that? Where did you get that from?" The older witch snarled, pointing to the item he was holding.

The Snatcher looked down to the Sword of Gryffindor and twirled it in his hand, "It was in her bag when we searched her." He said glumly while looking to Hermione, "Reckon it's mine now."

The Snatchers idiocy caused his life as Bellatrix quickly lost her short lived temper. Out of caution Olivia took numerous steps backwards to avoid the backlash of what was occurring. The older woman struck the Snatcher holding the sword immediately and he fell to the ground instantly. She caught the sword by the handle and turned around to Greyback, slashing her wand in a swift horizontal line. The werewolf released his grip on Ron and Hermione as he fell to his knees.

Olivia stepped backwards again as Bellatrix turned to Scabior, the head Snatcher, and wrapped a tight cord around his neck that connected to her wand. Scabior fell to the ground in a heap as Bellatrix dragged him across the floor of the manor until she released him, "Get out!" She screamed in fury, "Get out!"

Olivia hadn't realised just how many steps backwards she'd taken until her back fell flush with something. Her wide eyes were watching as Greyback and Scabior scurried away, her hands trembling as Bellatrix stalked towards Ron. She felt panicked on the inside and a cold hand wrapping around her wrist gently couldn't wake her up from the state she'd entered.

It was Draco she had backed into, it was he who had taken her wrist after noticing the way she was trembling. It was he who was calling into her ear discreetly, desperate for her to snap out of the trance she'd entered. It was rare for him to see such fear in her eyes.

"Olivia." He whisperer, testing her name on his tongue, "Come on, Olivia, snap out of it."

Olivia watched as Bellatrix pulled Ron away from the wall and pushed him towards the stairs leading downwards, as she pulled Harry up by his jacket and did the same before coming for her.

Her cold and merciful grip pumped Olivia's heart faster as Bellatrix pulled her away from the undeniable warmth of Draco before letting go of her and pushing her in the same direction of the boys. Olivia stumbled forwards, seething in pain as Ron caught her in his arms.

The pair looked frantically at Hermione, who was being pinned against the wall by Bellatrix, "Me and this one are going to have a conversation, girl to girl."

As they were shoved down the stairs leading towards the cellar and Olivia fought against Peter Pettigrew, the three realised their luck was drawing to an alarming and abrupt stop. It was then Draco's final words registered in her overworking mind,

"I love you."

It's Christmas Eve!!

From me to you, an update.

Chapter thirty two is underway and is shaping up to be a wild ride as well as my longest chapter ever written. If it happens to get ridiculously big, which I reckon it will, I'll split it into two. So with that in mind, after this there will be one or two chapters left until DH part 2.

Merry Christmas everyone, I hope you have a wonderful day!
