Chapter seven; The Will of Albus Dumbledore

<=>

"I need a drink." Olivia complained, dropping her arm and wand to the side and turning to George besides her. His head was wrapped in a bandage covering his ear while it still healed, "You don't fancy one do you?"

"When you say drink do you mean water or—"

"Firewhiskey, definitely Firewhiskey." She sighed.

George nodded approvingly, "Okay." The two abandoned their job of decorating the tables for the wedding reception and snuck off over to the house, running into Charlie on the way. Like his brother he was already half dressed, his shoulder length hair was tied back for the time being while he had the sleeves of his shirt rolled up to his elbows and his waistcoat unbuttoned.

He eyed them both curiously, "Where are you two running off to like that?"

"Into the house for a drink." Olivia replied quickly, pushing George along by his arm.

Charlie nodded wearily, watching them continue to run towards the house. He couldn't figure out why they were sneaking around until it clicked in his mind. He sighed, dropping his head back, "Why didn't I pick up on it sooner? Drink, as in alcoholic, Charlie you idiot." He told himself watching as they slipped into the door. He shrugged his shoulders and left them be, walking back to the tent where his father and the rest of his brothers were helping.

The house was too quiet and so George and Olivia opted for tip-toeing through into the kitchen. Them both becoming immediately aware of two teens snogging away. Olivia had to shove George along as he stopped to stare and they both reached the sink, Olivia taking the bottle of half empty Firewhiskey while George picked up a coffee after shoving a spoon into the bandages on the left side of his head.

Olivia sniggered quietly as Harry and Ginny broke apart awkwardly and looked to them both with shocked expressions on their faces.

"Morning." George teased. Olivia snorted into the bottle of Firewhiskey and covered her mouth with her hand while George winked at the pair. They broke away awkwardly, Ginny moving to leave the house while firing Olivia a glare and Harry stepping backwards all the while George fed him with a protective big brother glare.

The two scattered quickly leaving them both to break out into laughter, "Oh Merlin, we're awful people." Olivia laughed, burying her head into George's shoulder.

"It's not our fault they need to learn to be more discrete." George said with a laugh.

Olivia shook her head before taking a sip of the alcohol, "That was the most unexpected thing I expected to happen today, of all days."

They then heard the unmistakable yell of Arthur Weasley, calling on them for help and scrambled to run back to where they were supposed to be.

From fixing her hair upstairs Olivia ran out onto the landing of the second floor to retrieve something from where Fleur was having her hair done on the third floor. She started her decent up the third flight of stairs when she swore she caught sight of Rufus Scrimgeour, the Minister of Magic walking briskly towards the family home with Ron behind him. She retraced her steps and moved to looked out of the large window, blinking rapidly to ensure she wasn't seeing things. To her surprise, the Minister was still there.

"Uh, Hermione?" Olivia called of her wearily.

"What?" The girl called back from packing a few last minute items into her purse.

"Come here a second."

"Olivia I'm busy!" Hermione shouted back in a huff.

Olivia shook her head even though Hermione couldn't see her, "Not for this your not, Harry you too!"

She heard Hermione sigh as both her and Harry came to the window she was staring out of to see the Minister disappear beneath them. Not a second later the sound of the door opening underneath them was heard and the three seventeen year olds exchanged curious glances before running down.

The man was in the kitchen, Ron stood to the right of him looking completely baffled when they came down the last step, "To what do we owe the pleasure Minister?" Harry asked, slightly sarcastic.

"I think we both know the answer to that question Mr. Potter." Was his reply, his accent thick, "Is there somewhere we can sit?"

They all looked to Ron who became a stuttering mess, still too shocked to say anything, "Uh, y-yeah. The living room .. this way."

They followed Ron into the living room where Harry, Hermione and Ron sat down on the small sofa opposite the Minister. Olivia sat on the arm of the sofa next to Harry as the Minister pulled out a brown suede satchel type and laid it out on the table in front of them.

"And this this?" Olivia asked curiously as the man pulled a piece of parchment from his black leather brief case and allowed it to levitate in the air where it opened.

"Here it is set forth, the last will and testament of Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. First to Ronald Bilius Weasley, I leave my Deluminator. A device of my own making in the hope when things seem most dark—" He opened up the brown suede and picked up a small black pouch, handing it to Ron, "It will show him the light."

Ron took the Deluminator out of the bag and eyed it curiously, "Dumbledore left this for me?"

"Yes."

"Brilliant." He said amused, "What is it?"

A deadpan look formed on Olivia's face as she looked to Ron incredulously meanwhile the Minister stumbled on his words. Ron pressed a small button, the cap on the top of the Deluminator opening and capturing the artificial light in the Burrow with a small whispy noise before closing. He flicked the cap open again where the lights returned to their rightful place. Ron released a small breathy laugh, "Wicked."

"To Hermione Jean Granger, I leave my copy of 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard' in the hope that she finds it entertaining and instructive."

"Mum used to read me those." Ron said.

"I'm sure she's read some to me before too." Olivia said, shaking her head.

"'The Wizard and the hopping pop', 'Babity Rabbity and the cackling stump'" Ron's smile faded as Harry and Hermione looked blank.

"Oh come on." Olivia said, "Babity Rabbity? No?" Harry shook his head.

"To Olivianna Grace Black, I leave a special and unseen copy of 'The story of Olivianna Black.' with the hope she finds what she is truly searching for." The Minister said, handing a fragile looking book over to Olivia. She hesitantly took the book from him and traced the books spine delicately, the pages inside the hardwood book glowing a soft gold.

"What are you truly looking for?" Ron asked curiously.

With her mouth open slightly and her brows knitted together tightly she shook her head, "I-I don't know." She whispered under her breath, never once taking her eyes off the book.

"To Harry James Potter, I leave the snitch he caught in his first Quidditch match at Hogwarts as a reminder of the awards of perseverance and skill." He said, handing Harry the golden snitch covered in a navy cloth.

Harry took the snitch curiously before twirling it in his hand once, "Is that it then?"

"Not quite." The Minister said, "Dumbledore left you a second request; the Sword of Godric Gryffindor. Unfortunately the Sword of Gryffindor was not Dumbledores to give away, as an important historical artefact it belongs to—"

"To Harry." Hermione interrupted, "It belongs to Harry, it came to him when he most needed it in the Chamber of Secrets." Olivia shuddered on instinct.

"The sword may present itself to any worthy Gryffindor Miss Granger, that does not make it that wizards property." They fell into silence, "and in the event the current whereabouts of the sword is unknown."

The words slipped from Olivia's mouth before she had the chance to choke them back, "Excuse me?"

"The sword is missing .. I don't know what you're up to Mr. Potter, you either Miss Black, but you can't fight this war on your own. He's too strong."

Olivia gulped and straightened her back out, "Right, well thank you for the pep-talk Minster and for the delivering Dumbledores will, we appreciate it. Now if you'll kindly excuse us we have a wedding to attend .. and I have somebody I need to talk to." She said quite harshly, pushing up off the arm of the sofa and heading for the door with the book clutched tightly in her hand, in pursuit of two people who could possibly know anything about what she had just been given.

Her mother and her godfather.

<=>

"What the hell is this!?" Olivia fired, anger and confusion swirling in her eyes as she stomped — half ready for the wedding — over to her mother and godfather outside. If this were to be some kind of joke, Olivia would be much furious. Of all the times to have given her a stupid book that was supposedly special to her, and now of all times she received it. Why not when she found out in the first place two and a half years ago?

What would fuel the hate-fire bubbling inside would be if her mum and Remus knew of this book. It would be a total kick to the balls.

At her sudden outburst, everyone outside had turned to see the seething girl. Although many had not seen her anger extend thus far, especially not the adults around. Molly Weasley and Cecelia were definitely taken aback by her sharp tone, Olivia sounded positively pissed and neither woman had witnessed her raise her voice before. Others around, for example the twins, Remus and Tonks, only cringed knowing what was to come.

Olivia held the book tightly in her right hand while taking long strides up towards the tent. To make things easier for her, her mum and Remus were already stood together. It didn't take her long to reach them and when she did she repeated herself, "What the hell is this?" Unlike the first time her voice was quieter.

"I don't know Olivia, you keep waving it about in front of me." Her mum exasperated, trying to get a hold of the book to read the cover, "Here, pass it to me."

"Gladly." Olivia muttered, pushing the book in the direction of her mother. While holding it, Remus peered over Cecelia's left shoulder to read the title, "Dumbledore gave it to me in his will." She said, crossing her arms over her chest, "a special and unseen copy with the hope I find what I am truly searching for."

Remus face paled. He remembered him and Sirius having a conversation only days before his death about a special copy of Olivianna's tale, it was seemingly lost however. It seemed Cecelia was familiar with it also when she sighed, "Listen sweetheart—"

"No." Olivia shook her head, "Don't listen sweetheart me, why am I now only just finding out this existed? Do you know how long I've been struggling with this shit?!"

Alissa tugged on her fiancée's sleeve, seeing the clear blue sky cloud over, "Should we do something?"

Charlie shook his head instantly, "I-i think it's better we stay out of this one. This is something she needs to ride out."

"Now isn't really the time to make puns Charlie." She scolded in his ear.

"I-I didn't even—"

Alissa slapped his arm, "Shush!"

"We thought it was missing, honest." Cecelia said, "We knew one existed and it was supposed to be handed down with the bracelet .. but it never came to us."

"Well obviously!" Olivia said incredulously, her eyes wide, "Why would Dumbledore have it? And why didn't he give me it sooner or when I found out?"

Cecelia could only shake her head, she didn't have a reason for Dumbledore's choice to only now give the book to her daughter. Remus spoke up instead, "Dumbledore picks his moments, I expect you of all people know that." His voice was calm and collected, "I also expected you to continue wearing your bracelet, it provides your balance Olivia."

Her face paled, had she been caught not wearing the bracelet? She'd worn sleeves all summer to prevent something like this happening but it seemed nothing could pass Remus. Cecelia mustn't of noticed however as she gasped, looking up from studying the book, "Your not wearing it?" She handed the book to Remus and took her daughter's left wrist, pushing up the sleeve to reveal nothing there.

"I took it off in case something happened, I suppose what happened last week was a prime example of why I did." She part mumbled, referring to her night in the Manor.

"Where is it?" Remus asked.

Olivia shrugged her shoulders, "I couldn't tell you if I wanted to, I had Hermione obliviate me."

Remus stuttered over his words incredulously, "You-you had Hermione obliviate you?"

The two adults cursed under their breaths, "How do you expect to find it again then?" Cecelia snapped, furious with her daughter's actions.

"I wrote myself a note, I've got that to help me if I need it."

"A note? Really Olivia?" Remus asked.

She nodded, taking the book from Remus, "Whatever I may of done will not compare to you both lying to me. All along there was something to help me, do you have any idea how long I've longed for help with this? I'm only seventeen and I think sometimes you forget that, I've no idea how to handle this most of the time."

"We've told you Olivia we didn't know it still existed, we thought it was lost." Cecelia said softly.

Olivia nodded her head curtly before turning on her heal and walking away, "Right."
