Chapter one: Those in the rain.

<=>

The rain patted against the windows of the Burrow on the night before Tonks and Remus' wedding. A gathering had been called regarding last minute plans and preparations of the wedding, bringing Olivia home from spending time with her mother earlier than expected. She was due back at the Weasley household just before eight in the evening but had arrived with Cecelia to the Burrow just after six.

It was small, boring details they were going over. Almost half of the participants in the meeting zoning out or drifting off to sleep, Tonks included as Molly Weasley continued to fuss more than her own mother.

"So after the ceremony we'll come back here." Molly had concluded her hour long verbal agenda on how the wedding was going to run, just incase no one already knew.

"That's great." Olivia was first to say, lifting her head from resting in her folded arms. Ron grimaced knowing something negative was to follow her sarcasm, "Just one tiny problem. Yeah, I don't have anyone to walk me down the aisle."

"Do you need someone to walk you down the aisle?" Ron asked.

Olivia pouted, "Tonks dad is walking her down the aisle and Charlie's walking Alissa down the aisle, it's only fair someone walks me down also. I am a bridesmaid too you know, besides it's probably the only time I'll ever walk down an aisle."

Remus pinched the bridge of his nose and shook his head at her bluntness.

"She is a bridesmaid after all." Charlie said.

"Hell yeah I am." She mused while smirking.

"Ron can do it." Fred piped up from the bottom of the table, now seemingly awake.

"He can not!" Ron gaped incredulously.

"You know that's actually really good idea! You're the same height and age." Tonks beamed, "Olivia is that okay with you?"

Olivia looked to Ron sat besides her scowling at her as if daring her to say yes. She leaned back in her chair and crossed her arms, grinning at the boy like the twins were, "That's perfect with me."

Ron groaned and dropped his head to the table creating a painful sound as his head collided with the wood. He sat up not a minute later and rubbed his forehead. The rain outside became heavier, lashing on the windows as the sky was almost completely dark.

Ginny shifted about in her chair, constantly looking from outside to her mum, "Can we go outside now?" She blurted, asking the question the five teens seated were dying to ask.

"In that weather?" Molly asked incredulously, "Are you all mad!?"

"I am." Olivia smirked, rising from her chair and pushing it under the table, "I've been waiting for this rain for days Molly. I've sweated my arse off for weeks in this heat, now we've got rain you can bet your galleons that I'm going out in it."

"You'll get ill." Tonks called, matter-of-factly.

She shrugged her shoulders, "Since when did that ever stop me?"

"Come on mum, please. It's the least you can do after you almost killed us from boredom." Fred remarked, elbowing his sleeping twin in the ribs.

A loud snore emitted from George as his head slipped from his hand and he sat up quickly, "Ten galleons!" He called.

Those around gave the ginger a funny look at his random outburst while his twin rolled his eyes.

Molly snapped out of staring at her son and sighed, caving in at the sight of the five teens sat staring at her pleadingly, "Oh okay, fine. You can go out into the rain." She said, waving a hand and the tea towel she was holding around.

"Thanks mum!" Ginny stood up quickly, running over to her Molly and giving her a quick kiss on the cheek, "Fred, George you get our brooms. We'll set up outside." She ordered, grabbing Olivia's wrist who then latched onto Ron's and dragged them out of the house and into the rain.

Tonks stood up as they retreated outside and called after them, "If any of you are sneezing during my wedding tomorrow I'll hex you!" They continued to run outside, the sound of the door closing overpowering the noise the twins were making upstairs.

Alissa leaned to her fiancรฉe's chest, Charlie wrapped his arms around her stomach and pressed a kiss to her temple as she looked up to Tonks, "They'll never listen to you, why bother wasting your breath?"

Remus looked to his soon-to-be-wife and wrapped his arm around her tense shoulders, "She's right Tonks."

Tonks sighed in defeat, turning around when the thunderous sound of the twins racing down the stairs echoed around the house. A minute later those who were seated stood abruptly as the sound of wood clattering to the floor followed by a loud thud and a groan was heard. They rushed round the wall to see Fred with three brooms in his hands coaching his twin brother up off the floor.

"I'm still tired." George whined, pushing himself up off the floor and collecting the two brooms he had dropped.

Fred rolled his eyes, running over to the front door, "When are you not Georgia? Honestly, your unbelievable." He muttered, running through the door and leaving it open.

George scrambled up after his twin, a furious expression on his face, "What did you just call me?" He shouted after him.

"He called you Georgia you slow tosser! Now hurry up!" Olivia's voice was heard shouting over the rain as the door was closed.

Molly Weasley sighed, breaking the silence, and was the first to return back to the kitchen. Arthur, Cecelia, Bill and Fleur, Charlie and Alissa and Remus and Tonks still remained in place when Cecelia made a remark, "That daughter of mine. I've no idea where she gets it from."

Remus laughed, "Oh I can think of one who she might've gotten that from."

Bill laughed slightly, "Never a dull moment around here with those lot."

Olivia laughed, pushing her soaking wet hair out of her face as George held his twin down on the ground an hour later. She dropped her broom to the ground as Ron and Ginny landed either side of her and continued to laugh as she ran over to the two boys and jumped on top of them, "Pile on bitches!" She had shouted. She and the twins underneath her then groaned as Ron ran over and jumped on top of the three already on the floor.

"Get off us you fat oaf!" George struggled to shout out, suffocating as the weight of three bodies crushed down into his ribs.

"Fucking hell Ronnie, lay off the food every once and a while!" Olivia gaped, inhaling deeply as Fred wriggled around underneath her.

Ginny's laugh could be heard over the bouncing rain around them as the youngest of the four doubled over in laughter, clutching her stomach, "Can I join?" She asked, walking over to them.

Immediately the four began to protest as Ginny took a run up and dived onto her brothers back. George, Fred, Olivia and Ron let out an 'oompf' sound as Ginny landed still laughing. George began to tap out, hitting his twin brothers side as he began to go purple in the face.

Olivia, who was laid on her front, just hovering above George shouted up to Ginny and Ron, "You two are going to kill George if you don't move your fat arses any second!"

George made a strangling noise in response.

"Get off!" Fred shouted, moving to roll off of his twin. Ginny had just managed to get onto her feet as Ron, Olivia and Fred fell off George. The twins and Olivia gasping for air.

"You .. little .. shits." George gasped through air.

They began to laugh again in the rain and Olivia pulled back onto her knees, catching a figure in the distance. Her abrupt stop in laughter was noticed by those around her as Fred looked up to her narrowing eyes.

"What's wrong Olivia?"

"Don't you see that?" She asked, staring through squinted eyes towards the remaining figure.

"See what?" Ron asked.

"There." She pointed, "Someones watching us."

"I can't see anyone." Ginny had said as Olivia stood up, collecting her wand off the floor before running in the direction of the figure.

"Olivia, no!" Fred shouted after her, his voice distant in her ears as she disappeared into the darkening sky.

The front door opened and everyone ran out, wands up. Remus looked around, "What's going on? Where is she?"

The three Weasley brothers stood up, "She saw something and just ran off after it." George shouted over the worsening rain.

"Olivia!" Remus voice shouted, registering in her ears as she came to the end of the charms placed around the Weasley property. Her wand was raised as she squinted through the dark to catch a glimpse of the person retreating less than fifty yards in front of her.

"Who are you?!" She called out, halting the figure. They tuned slowly to the side, Olivia's breath hitching in her throat as she caught the smallest of glimpses before they turned on the spot and apparated.

She remained in place after they had left. The unmistakable platinum blond she had seen still fresh in her mind but it had to be a mistake. There was no way Draco had been watching her, it was impossible.ย

"Ron? Are you ready yet, we're going to be late?!" Olivia knocked again on his door, waiting behind the closed wood. A few moments passed where no answer was received, the only thing heard was shuffling and cursing. She let out a curse of her own, mumbling under her breath and pushing the bedroom door open.

Ron stood fastening the belt that was fixing his trousers, his shirt untucked and one arm in his waist coat. His tie hung around his neck, unsurprisingly untied as the last few buttons of his shirt remained undone. She shook her head and dropped it back, letting out a loud groan and tossed her bag onto his bed. Ron's room shook slightly at the action.

"Can you not destroy my room with your groaning?" The boy asked incredulously, hopping around while trying to put his left shoe on.

"Can you not make us late for my godfathers wedding?" She counteracted.

"What's going on up there?" Molly Weasleys voice shouted up the three flights of stairs as clear as day.

"And for Merlins sake hurry up the both of you!" Alissa's then came.

Olivia cursed again as Ron fell to the ground with a thud as he pushed his foot into his right shoe. She ran out on to the landing and leaned over the banister, her black hair falling in her face, "Just go, we'll catch up." She shouted down to both Molly and Alissa, both of which looked severely unimpressed.

Alissa rolled her eyes, "Alright but if your late Tonks will murder you." She warned.

"Yeah I don't fucking doubt it." Olivia mumbled under her breath, pushing herself off the banister and walking back into Ron's room. She grabbed the boys shirt in her hands and fastened his buttons quickly in her dainty fingers, then reaching for his gold bow tie that matched the bridesmaids dresses to tie it. She helped get his other arm into the waistcoat and picked his jacket up off the back of the door, flinging it to him and walking to his mirror and smoothing herself out.

Her black hair had been twisted and pinned at the back of her head with a beautiful silver clip, her natural waves left to hang as they were. She wore light makeup, a gold shimmer on her lid and a nude lipgloss to match. Her dress was a strapless gown that fell short just above the knee, swirls of white woven into the gold material.

Olivia nodded at herself, good to go, and took Ron's hand in hers as he handed her her bag. They both checked for their wand and ran out of the empty house, locking the door quickly before running over to the apparation point. The boy slid his arm around her waist and apparated them to a concealed place in Scotland, landing outside of the tent just in time.

They turned around, once Olivia recovered her footing, to be faced with an angry Tonks and Alissa both waiting for their arrival. As much as she noticed Tonks anger with her, Olivia's heart clenched seeing her best friend, second cousin and sister figure, "Aw Tonks." She said, moving over to the woman and squeezing her, "You look beautiful." She gushed.

"Yes, yes she looks dashing, can we get this show on the road now?" Alissa asked, rubbing her stomach, "I'm bloody starved."

"She's right." Olivia said, pulling away from the woman and moving back over to Ron. She fixed his hair and bow tie before straightening his jacket out, the boy handing her her flowers over once she was finished.

She then turned to Tonks once more and arched a brow as the music started to play, "So should I still call you Tonks, or is it Lupin now?"
