Jeonghan twisted the knife, pulling it out of the man's neck, a sinister smile on his face as he clung unto the handle, the blood red knife dripping as he held it up.

"Do you think you're some god?" The man questioned, stuttering as his words came out in short gasps. He closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath before he continued, "They're going to find you, whoever you are."

He spat, his blood splattering on Jeonghan's face as his eyes shut in response. His hands shook in rage as he lifted the knife up before descending it into the man's heart, killing him instantly while blood gushed out, coating his mouth.

"My name is Yoon Jeonghan, asshole." He muttered before standing up, walking over the dead body to the table by the door leading out of the basement. He opened one of the ziploc bags, tossing the knife in before closing it then he went back to the body, dragging it and placing it in the black body bag.

His eyes flickered to the time on his watch. 6:00am. Perfect. His family would be coming home soon.

He dragged the bag out of the basement, taking each step up the stairs with caution, the bag ruffling once it was pulled against the wood. As he got to the first floor of the man's house, he opened the bag and took him out, dragging him into his bedroom.

He placed the lifeless body under the covers, a chuckle releasing as he positioned the man as if he was truly sleeping. Once he was done with that, he grabbed a sheet of paper out of his pocket along with a pen and drew his signature. A J with a K over it.

Justice Killer.

He placed the paper beside the man before leaving the room, grabbing the bag and jumping out of the window, not running but walking so as to not look suspicious.

Although he was covered from head to toe with clothes and accessories to make sure he was unable to be recognised.

He skillfully avoided all the cameras on the street just as he did when he was coming to the house and after a few minutes, he reached his house which was also in the neighborhood.

He ran to his basement and straight to the bulletin board positioned in the middle. On the picture with the name Min Woojin on it, he drew an X.

Mission Complete. He had successfully taken the man out.

Jeonghan dragged a metal basin from under the table in his basement and threw the body bag inside. He took out the lighter in his other pocket, took off his clothes, shoes, gloves, mask and cap and threw them in the basin too before flicking open the lighter and tossing it in, letting it burn every single thing.

His eyes illuminated in the presence of the brewing flame, a dark orange shade casted on him as he watched everything burn to a crisp. While the metal remained intact, everything else including the lighter vanished into ashes.

He carried the basin upstairs, pouring the contents into the toilet before flushing everything down. He went back to the basement and looked at his next mission on the board. Hwang Jinhyung, 33 years old, married, 2 kids, Accountant and 3 victims.

He scoffed as he scanned the man's face, his eyes running over the picture multiple times before he shook his head in clear disappointment.

He pushed the bulletin board backwards until the darkness encapsulated it before walking back upstairs. He took a shower, changed into his sleepwear, made a plate of ramyeon and walked to his living room, switching on the television before he sat down on the couch, his legs crossed as he read the headlines.

'JUSTICE' KILLER STRIKES AGAIN, KILLS CEO OF KIM CORPORATIONS, KIM WONJIN

Jeonghan giggled. They'd found his last victim prior to Min Woojin. Somehow the chase which never ended and the missions he constantly completed with no interventions gave him so much zeal.

Enough to carry out his next mission, then the next, then the next, then the next. It was an everlasting motivation, an empowering cycle.

The fact that the police would never catch him. The Justice Killer, Yoon Jeonghan.

A smile tugged at his lips which twitched as his eyes darkened, fixed on the TV screen. He felt no hint of remorse or guilt, and he never would.

They all deserved to die.

Seungcheol went through the files, his pupils rummaging through each detail, each piece of information until he finished, slamming the file shut on the desk.

"Finally done, that asshole was so fucking hard to catch." Seungcheol conceded, falling on his chair which shifted backwards a bit, hitting the wall of his office.

His colleague, Joshua also sat down, panting as he wiped off his sweat. "Too bad no one cares about him anymore, now it's all about the Justice Killer." Joshua's voice dripped with sarcasm as if to say that people were exaggerating.

Seungcheol unbuttoned his shirt slightly, turning towards the air conditioner, letting the cool breeze sway around him. "Who's the Justice Killer? I've been so caught up with this annoying ass thief, I haven't even heard any other cases."

Joshua crossed his legs, also unbuttoning his shirt a little before he replied, "He's been killing random men all over Seoul, some big shots like CEOs and Businessmen and some random, unknown men as well, his motives are unknown and there are no targets to his crimes."

Joshua stood up, grabbing the file on the desk. He moved towards Seungcheol's desk, dropping it with a muffled thud. Seungcheol swirled around to his desk, opening the file.

"So why's he called the Justice Killer?" Seungcheol inquired, gradually become more interested in the Justice Killer and his case. Joshua shrugged, turning the pages of the file until a picture of one of the crime scenes popped up.

He pointed to the paper pinned to one of the victim's heads. On it was written the Justice Killer in English. "He proclaimed himself, no one gave him the name." Seungcheol squinted, inspecting the various crime scenes and truly, none of them had any patters, neither did they have similar methods of killing.

The only similarity was the paper with the killer's name on it. "How are we sure it's a he?" Seungcheol asked, his eyebrows ruffled as he looked up at Joshua. "Well, the police have been trying to catch him for weeks, they assumed it would be a man because at least one of the victims could have fought back if it were a woman." He explained and Seungcheol's head tilted to the side.

"Hmm, not a good enough reason." He uttered before continuing to go through the file. "So we have this much information... and 0 leads?" Seungcheol was baffled, who exactly was this Justice Killer who left no trails?

"I heard they may put a detective on the case, give him the case to handle while they focus on other crimes." Joshua alerted Seungcheol before walking back to his desk, leaning on his chair and closing his eyes.

Seungcheol's eyebrows slowly lowered, his lips curving into a thrilled smirk as he tapped his finger on the desk, his decision already made in his mind.

The Justice Killer was his to investigate. This case belonged to him, and he would make sure of it.

While Seungcheol's eyes rummaged the file a few more times, Joshua left the office and once he came back in, he gestured to Seungcheol, urging him to stand up.

"What's happening?" Seungcheol asked as he closed the file, leaving it on the table before walking over to Joshua. "Boss is calling us, he wants to assign cases." He informed Seungcheol whose eyes widened.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Let's go." Seungcheol rushed out of the room, dragging his partner along with him. They went downstairs, exiting their floor and entering the floor for the officers were people were arrested and brought to before their court date, interrogated, settled and made reports.

They marched to their Boss's office, the Chief Of Police, Mr. Paek Dongmin. As they reached the office, the door was left slightly open. Seungcheol quickly pushed it, opening it fully before the two went in and Joshua shut the door behind him.

"Good day, Chief." Seungcheol greeted while the two men bowed fully to show their respect. Chief Paek smiled faintly at the two before facing the detectives in front of him.

"Well, as you all know, it's time to assign cases to each detective. Ones that the police need extra help to solve. Criminals that have gotten away for too long." Chief Paek announced, opening his drawer and taking out a list and three files.

"You three, our rookie detectives, will take on the case of the Gangnam Goblin, as they call him, he steals the clothes of women and humiliates them publicly, he also wears a Goblin mask." He handed a file over to them which the young man in the middle retrieved.

He smirked before hinting, "If you want a promotion, you'll solve the case in less than a month." The detectives glanced at each other with a clear panic embedded in their expressions while the Chief handed the next file over to the next pair.

"Our next level Detectives, Mingyu and Wonwoo, you two will try to find this missing girl, Lee Hyein, she's been gone from her home for about a day now but I'm putting you on this case so we can find her quickly." Chief Paek handed the two their own file which they took before bowing and leaving.

As they left, only Seungcheol and Joshua remained. Chief Paek glanced at them before separating the remaining two files, keeping one on the right and one on the left.

"Pick one. Your choice." He crossed his arms, leaning against his chair as he put up his feet. The two gave each other a quick glance before rushing towards the table and picking the ones in front of them.

Joshua opened his while Seungcheol took a peek at his file. Written on it was the word Menacing Murderer. It wasn't who Seungcheol wanted anyways.

"Hong Joshua, you got the Menacing Murderer, I'm sure you've heard of him and his crimes, he kills underage women after sleeping with them, you must find out who he is and catch him." Joshua nodded at Chief Paek's request before turning to Seungcheol who flipped his open and tried to hide his smile as he saw the words.

The Justice Killer.

"Ooh Seungcheol-ah, you get the most wanted criminal in Korea right now, I'm sure you've heard of his irregular murders, victims and patterns and it may seem hard but I know that you can do it, you both can, that's why I trusted you two with the toughest cases." He explained, cracking his neck.

Seungcheol and Joshua looked at each other one last time before bowing and leaving Chief Paek's office.

A satisfied smirk tugged at Seungcheol's lips as he walked back to his floor while Joshua sighed, cleaning his sweat. "And I thought I could get a break, this guy is already pissing me off, underage women? Like what the fuck?" His anger and disgust was evident in his face while Seungcheol simply went though the file in anticipation.

He couldn't wait to find the Justice Killer and bring him to his knees. There was no case Seungcheol had been given that he couldn't solve and he wouldn't let this genius murderer stain his record.

"I'm coming for you Justice Killer, even if it's the last thing I ever do." He vowed to himself before entering his office, shutting the door as it made a loud bang.

He walked over to his desk, placing his new file over the file Joshua had given him. In the next few seconds, the door burst open. "Inspector Choi! The Justice Killer has struck again!" One of the officers informed Seungcheol who rushed, grabbing his bag and his other needed items before he left the office.

He rubbed his hands on his neck, a wave of adrenaline passing through him as he raced down the stairs, out the station and into one of the cars.

The game had finally begun. But Seungcheol knew one thing... the result.

He wouldn't be the one losing.
