I finally open the message that I've been waiting all this while for

"Hello, Veronica. Outside the institute, you'll find my men. I'll be waiting for your arrival, time to finish what we started"

I nudge Raphael's shoulder as I showed him as he looked at me and then at Alec

"We need to go, It's finally time to get her back," I said as he gave my hand a light squeeze

"I'm ready when you are. But Alec, you know what's happening right?" He asked worriedly

"The ship has already sailed Raphael there's no time to chase now," I sigh as he nods

We get out of the stands as Clary and Simon notice us "Where are you going? The wedding's about to start" she asks

"I'll be back in a moment, just want to discuss something in private," I say as she nods

Jace, Isabelle, and Alec watched as we started leaving the hall hand in hand. I turned around to bid goodbye to Alec only to find him staring at me. As if asking me to stay with him

I pass him a smile knowing nothing will remain the same tomorrow as Raphael calls me pulling me back to reality. Emily

Watching over Alec for the last time I walk out rushing to the balcony as we come across the men

Raphael catches the rock thrown by them reading the message attached to it

"Follow them and come alone," it says as we both nod

Before leaving I leave a voice note for Magnus

"Hey, Magnus it's me. I know you didn't have any plans of attending the wedding tonight but I need someone in my absence. Raphael and I are going to rescue Emily, no one has a clue about this, and I hope you keep it that way.

I'll move back to my house once we rescue her. Thank everyone from my side. Veronica,"

"Boss needed you, not him. He's not allowed," the guy says as Raphael shields me

"We're both going together, You can't take her alone," he hissed showing his fangs

"Your boss didn't want shadow-hunters. He said nothing about not bringing a vampire along!" I question

They took us to this abandoned building somewhere near the pandemonium. This building seemed much like a hotel before it was abandoned.

Coming to a halt at the end of the hallway, the men stepped away making room for us to walk ahead.

Walking inside we soon came face to face with the guy who I fought in a dimly lit room that looked like a pent-house or more like a store-room now

He stepped forward with a man in his early 30s by his side "Ms. Veronica, Nice dress. Attending a function? Sorry your celebrations didn't last long" he laughed as if he cracked a joke

"Spare me and tell me where's my sister? and who the hell are you?" I snapped

"Your sister, she's in good hands but in good shape... I doubt that. Allow me to introduce myself I'm Malik," he smiled introducing himself

"If I see any bruise on her body, it's your last day," I snapped as he laughed

"You can't even land a scratch on me, little girl. Watch where you at, you're at a disadvantage here"

"You might want to hold onto that," I said walking up to him "Return me my sister and I might think of letting you go"

"Not so easily, I have some unfinished business with you," he says as Raphael gets tackled by a few of his men

"You think you can hold me back?" He hissed finishing off those guys

"A vampire, I was very clear about my instructions of you coming here alone?" He grunts

"I did need something, Death for your family including You and your Sister," he says grabbing my face as I spat at him

As he let go I jabbed him in the neck and he fell on the floor

"I didn't come here to fight, but if that's what you want then Fine," I comment pinned to the ground by his men as he walks away

I get my blade out push everyone aside and kill them turn by turn. I turn around getting swarmed by others as Raphael rushes over hurling them away while I stab one of them with my seraph dagger

Getting away from them I watch a man walking over to me with a cocky smile "You're going down" he said

"I'll handle him" Stopping Raphael I commanded punching him in the face I climbed on his knee and jumped while wrapping my legs around his neck doing a backward summersault slamming his body across the floor as he vanished

Our fight continued for a while as I tried looking for an escape to go and look for Emily

At the Wedding

Magnus heard my voicemail and rushed to the wedding, entering the institute he saw Alec and Lydia about to complete the ceremonies, as Alec's gaze fell on a troubled Magnus's face

Alec walked down the alter to Magnus "I need you all," Magnus declared as Jace, Izzy, Alec and the rest followed behind

"Where's Veronica?" Alec asked

"You'll understand once you hear this. It's the reason I'm here tonight." Magnus answers playing the voice note I sent him

"I can't let her fight alone now, Not like this." He walks away after listening to the voice note

"Alexander, You can't do anything. We can't rush we need to have a plan first" Magnus tries stopping an enraged Alec in his tracks

"I know, but first, there's a wedding to be stopped," Alec says as a smile appears on all of their faces as Jace accompanies him over to Mayrse and Robert.

Back at the Building

"Raphael look for Emily," I say as he rushes upstairs

Rushing upstairs I come face to face with Malik again

"Oh, you're still alive?" He sneered

"Don't sound so disappointed, I might think you don't like me" I mocked him

"You!" he said as I stabbed him

"I didn't want to kill you but you left me no choice," I say as he gets back up and starts throwing some vigorous punches my way I tackle him to the ground and hit his neck

Raphael comes out with Emily as I examine her face which is covered in dust and her body covered in small bruises

I rushed to hug her with tears in my eyes "Take her to Jason's house. She needs to be with someone whom she knows for now," I demanded pulling away from them

"What about you? I can't leave you alone here, She's safe now come" He protests

"It's okay Raphael, I won't be satisfied until finish him off. Just take her and go, please" I demand

"I'll be back as fast as I can, be safe," he says rushing out with Emily as he collides with Alec and the others on the way outside the pandemonium

"Raphael? Where's Veronica? And who's this?" Alec asks

"She's inside, fighting. Reach as fast as you can" he points to the building nearby "This is Emily," he says tightening his grip on the little and rushing away

Everyone rushes inside while I fight off the remaining guys. Getting swarmed I grab my blade and stab one of them in the stomach kicking him away as he doubles over. I walk down the stairs from the other side as another demon appears I burn him to flames, I jump down as a sword comes my way only to see another one rushing my way as I switch my blade over to attack.

The moment he comes closer I see him fall with an arrow struck on his back. My gaze shoots up to see Alec starring at me with his bow

"Alec," I mumble worried while I get tackled by another as I stab him.

"Veronica watch out!" I got up and dodged a dagger and threw it back killing the one who threw it

"Are you okay?" Alec and Clary rush to my side

"I'm okay. But how did you find me?" I asked

"Your location," Alec replied

"I lead them here," I hear Magnus walk-in

"I thought I told you not to," I say as we hug each other when I open my eyes to see a demon rushing in who got stabbed by Jace

"Your sister's safe now, Let's go" Alec demanded marching forward

"No, the fight's not over yet," I correct him looking around the room

"We finished these guys, what's left now?" Jace asks

"Not what but who," I say watching the door in front of me as I see stains of blood with a trail outside as I follow it

Walking down to the basement with everyone quietly following behind me I find Malik cornered by someone

I saw him trying to break free from the man "Raphael it's okay, Let me handle him" I said

"I know you can but I want this opportunity Veronica," he said glaring back at me. In all these years that I have known him, I have never seen him this angry

"Raphael let him go. I haven't seen you this raged on before," I asked

"When I dropped off Emily she cried in Jason's arms. She's got a burning scar on her hand," Raphael stated as everyone watched, Raphael pushes him away as he runs only to be stopped by Jace, Alec, and Magnus

"I told you not to hurt my sister," I said grabbing him by the collar and hurled him across the room

"How could you do that to a child!" I said creating a rope that strangled him by the wall slowly burning his skin

"This is for my sister" I grabbed his neck looking into his eyes "Remember these eyes in hell" I said letting go his burning neck

"Raphael you're ready to do whatever you want to him" I looked at him as I moved away and just as I said that Raphael bit him and he started to bleed, his body going pale as he died on the spot
