Alec and Izzy both saw me and Max talking as they smiled at each other and called him as I looked I found them standing in the doorway.

"Having fewer friends doesn't mean we don't know how to make friends. It just means we know whom to be friends with. Okay!"

"Okay! " he chimed as he got down and ran to Alec and Isabelle

"You scared us, where did you run off?" Isabelle asked him as I looked at them

"You know how worried we got for you," Alec said crouching down to his level as Max hugged him

"I was scared you both might scold me or people would make fun of me after listening."

"We will never do that to you, and don't worry nobody will say anything to you. No one can say anything to you. Or else they'll have to face us" Alec said as hugged him and took a deep breath Isabelle smiled

"She helped, and she also understands how I was having problems understanding runes. Thank you, Veronica, when will your sister come here?" he thanked me and asked about Emily

"Your Welcome Max." I said crouching down to his level and continued "You should listen to your siblings okay? My sister is away for school, and as she gets her vacation, I'll introduce you two. okay" I smiled

He went away with Izzy as Alec stood by the door "he doesn't talk to many people out here. But he came to you, Thanks for taking care of him while we were not here."

"You don't need to thank me Alec, Max is just like Emily to me. I'm glad I could help him out. and besides, I love kids. So maybe that is why he felt comfortable sharing with me." I turned around and kept the sketchbook back as I thought about her and how we used to spend time together

"I'll be there when you need to go and look for her, I'm there-" he stopped as I turned around "I mean we will be there for you whenever you need" He changed his words as I looked up at him

"Who's ready for a little shopping spree" Izzy came in as she stopped seeing me and Alec "I hope I'm not interrupting something?"

"Oh, no you're not interrupting anything," I said fixing the picture

"I-I was just leaving," Alec said as he glanced at me and walked out while Izzy stood there with her eyebrows raised eagerly to know

"It's of no use there isn't something to tell, so you can relax," I said looking at her as she sighed

"Well then get ready quickly we're going out," she said practically pushing me as I laughed

"Just give me a minute, okay, I'll meet you guys downstairs" She nodded and walked out

I opened the closet and looked for something to wear and went to change and walked out to set my hair, took my purse, phone, and my daggers with me.

I went downstairs, with both of them waiting "So where are we going exactly?" Closing my purse I asked as I stood next to them.

"You'll find out soon," Izzy said

"Okay, so shall we," I said as they both nodded

We walked out of the institute and went to a mall for shopping, we went to a shop for clothes and tried out different things and enjoyed and then went on to the gaming zone as Clary, Izzy and I enjoyed playing video games and laughing together.

After a while, we stopped at a restaurant for dinner.

"So how did you like the night out?" Izzy asked

"Honestly, I loved it. It's been a long since I had gone out and enjoyed myself with college and exams going on I couldn't find the time to go out." I said leaning back in the chair

"Well that's great, I'm excited to see everyone's outfits btw. We promised to keep secret what we're buying but I can't wait." Clary said clapping her hands together

"I'm excited about that too" I smiled as the waiter brought our drinks and we cheered all of us and enjoyed our drinks as we all started asking each other questions about our life.

"I have a question for Clary, do you like Jace?" I raised my eyebrows as she blushed and Izzy and I laughed

"That's great, he also likes you a little. I've seen the way he looks at you at times"

"You sure?" She asked playing with the straw in her drink

"Of course, he likes you, if you ask me I haven't seen my brother get as interested in a girl as he is in you," Izzy said as we all smiled.

I shared my college life experiences with Clary as she could not go to college so she wanted to know what it's like. We talked about college and what I do in my mundane life. I saw Clary's jaw drop in shock while eating as Izzy was so happy and I laughed.

"That's amazing, I mean you do the work that we do here. And I love a woman who knows how to dress to kill " Izzy exclaimed as I smiled

"Thanks, but my job isn't exactly what you can say as "safe"..." I said double quoting the safe as they nodded

"I can understand that the work we do isn't always safe. But I'm proud of you. I didn't think mundanes were so advanced in technology." She said

"Oh you know nothing, you haven't seen the mundane world properly because of being busy with your shadow world. The life that I live is Amazing yet dangerous. And we love that, honestly speaking" I said raising my glass to them as they did too

"To Us" we cheered as the three of us laughed, we then continued talking about the shadow world. Izzy told us a few things about it and how things work around here as Clary and I listened.

After dinner, we all walked back to the institute and grabbed ice-creams for everyone.

"So Veronica, I have been wanting this What do you think about Alec," she asked as we were walking I mentally face-palmed my head. I knew why she was asking it.

"He seems okay. I don't have any grudges left with him so yeah. He's okay" I gave her a diplomatic answer as she and Clary eyed me

"What?" I laughed "Why are you looking at me like that," I asked

"Well we saw you both today in the weaponry, you guys were close to each other. It seemed more than okay to me." Clary indicated as I smiled and moved my head sideways

"And besides when I came to your room too, I saw you guys together, close. Like really close! What's the deal" She nudged my arm as I laughed

"There's no deal here guys. It's not how you both are thinking. Alec is nice, he's mature and thinks things through, knows what he's doing. Overall he's a nice guy." I said looking over at them

"Come on now Veronica, why don't you say that you like him? We both know it, we've seen the two of you growing and moving past your grudges. You guys are getting along quite well." Clary said

"Agree" Izzy backed up

"I told you Izzy it's not like that and I'm saying the same again. I don't see him in that. He's with someone" I shrugged as they sighed

"Fine.. you don't wanna tell us don't tell us," Izzy said

"Okay fine," I said as they both looked at me as if they would've heard something out of the world "I might like him a little, But just a little. This shouldn't get out." I warned them

"It won't it's our little secret," Clary said as she hugged me in excitement Izzy smiled and hugged me too

"I knew you would like Alec, everyone likes him. And don't worry about his engagement if he likes you too, I'm sure he'll do something about it." She stated

I nodded and smiled "But I'm not looking for anything in my life right now honestly speaking, just wanna have the great company of friends, That's it." I shrugged as they both nodded and we reached the institute and gave everyone the ice creams we had bought for them.

Apparently, after knowing about my and Alec's growing friendship Isabelle pushed me to give the ice cream to Alec. I went up to him and tapped on his shoulder as he was working by the screen. As he turned around I smiled at him and extended the ice-creams towards him.

"We bought ice-creams for everyone, but Izzy didn't tell me what you like so I brought every flavor." I shrugged and smiled passing him the ice cream.

He looked at me and then at the ice creams "You didn't have to do this" he said giving me a smile

"Don't mention a little enjoyment from time to time doesn't hurt anybody." I said pointing at the ice-creams "And besides choose fast or else they'll melt away" I demanded as he smiled and picked up the chocolate flavor.

"I like chocolate, chocolate ice cream," he said picking it up 

"Well, I guess we have something in common then," I said smiling back as I picked up the others as he grinned.

"Enjoy" I gave a nod as he smiled and I went with Izzy to keep the rest in the freezer.

"So you like chocolate too, Alec too" Izzy asserted

"Yeah, well you didn't exactly tell me his favorite so I had to take every flavor to him for him to choose from" I shrugged as she nodded

"Well at least this way you got to know what he likes" she winked as I scoffed and laughed

We walked back to Izzy's room to finally show what clothes everyone got.

We started with Clary's first

As she got them out Izzy and I smiled and admired her choices.

"Nice choice Clary, I like it" I gave her a high five as she smiled

"Now Izzy, I have been dying to see what you brought," Clary said as I nodded in agreement

She opened her bag and got out what she got

"Sexy," I said as I admired the cloth of the dress running my hands through it

"I love some style to my clothes" she winked as we laughed

"Ok now you're up Veronica" She clasped her hands together

"Ok, but just know it isn't much fashionable because I didn't need something for going out right now."

"I love the dress, it's stylish and beautiful too" Izzy complimented touching the dress

"Glad you liked it. I had been wanting to buy this dress for quite a long. But if anyone of you ever feels like wearing it, you can just ask" I shrugged and smiled

We all got into a happy group hug as we smiled and laughed and heard a knock on the door and turned around

"Mind if we also join this little party of yours Izzy, your guys laughing could be heard in the lobby." Jace winked as we looked at the boys

I looked at Izzy as she nodded "But you'll have to wait for a minute" she says while they both stood at the door

We all smiled and turned and put the clothes in the bags and kept them aside and welcomed the guys in and sat there talking and enjoying as we all fell asleep talking there in Izzy's bedroom.
