Alec's POV:

As she came out of her room I saw her walking towards me, the way she was walking made everything seem a little different than before as if she was changing.

As she came over I asked her if she was going somewhere looking over at her from my screen she answered that she was going to Magnus's for training. Seeing her outfit I didn't expect her to be this open when it came to clothes, her dress was similar to Isabelle's.

Isabelle wears clothes like these which bring the shape of her body. I couldn't help myself but look at her outfit which she noticed too and snapped her fingers at me.

She was looking good and turned my attention to the screen in front of me and then leaned closer to the desk her face just inches away.

"There's a lot you guys don't know about me. Stick around, my style is just the tip of the iceberg" she remarked having a smirk across her face as my face heated up from this response of her and her closeness and I looked down

She walked away from me smiling as I looked at her walking away "and tell everyone I'll meet them in the evening" showing a peace sign she went to the balcony as I saw her walk and then disappear around the corner.

Thinking about "How slowly it is that her presence doesn't bother me anymore. There's something in the way she carries herself around. Yes, she might be like Clary, new to our world but still, she's different than her. Clary goes around taking risks, and going ahead as if she knows everything even though it's been a week since she has been here. But Veronica's different she knows what she needs to do and also follows the right part and is trying to become a part of this institute and the down world and understand her role in all this unlike Clary who just throws her tantrums around"

I nodded my head sideways and went back to work.

As I held my necklace and thought of Magnus's place and created a portal with magic flowing through my hands I had created a perfect portal.

I stepped in thinking of the image of Magnus's place as I stepped out I was standing in front of his door as the portal vanished.

I knocked on the door it opened and Magnus was standing there with a smile on his face as

"Come in I was just waiting for you only" I smiled and walked in

"You can use the portal perfectly now so why didn't you portal to the inside?" He asked

"Well even if I knew, a person loves his privacy and personal space. No matter how close we get to each other. I wouldn't just want to barge in. It's bad manners." I said as I walked over to the bookcase looking for books

"I see, I'm glad to be working with you." He kissed the knuckles of my hand as I smiled

"So what are you looking at?" Looking between me and the bookshelf he asked

"This" I showed him the book that I picked up from my mother's room the other day

"This book belongs to my mother, I tried opening it the other day but it won't open. Need your help. I want to see what's inside" Handing the book to him I looked at him

"Hmm, seems like a spell book I might be able to help you with this. Come on" he said as we walked to the room and he kept the book on the stand

"Now as it is a spell book, and it's your mother's then it must be guided by some spell by your mother." He continued as he traced his hands over the cover of the book.

"I don't exactly remember something that my mom would've said but I'll try and remember,"

"keep your hand on the book and say it out loud," he stepped aside and I stood in front of the book thinking if there was something that mom would've said and then I remembered something mom, I and dad used to say to each other every night before sleeping.

"Beauty is not in the face, but beauty is the light of a person's heart. trust us and go forward. Us is Love and Love is Us" I said as I moved my hand above the cover and I felt a light coming out of it as I shielded my eyes.

When I opened them back I saw the book opened to a page with a letter attached, I picked up the letter with Magnus behind and opened it up to read.

"My Dear Veronica,
I'm sorry that I had to keep your powers and your true identity a secret from you for all this time. I did everything to keep you safe. But I know that when the right time will come you will get to know about everything on your own without your mother's help and also remember stuff. I know how strong you are, and how hard you have been working for both of me and Emily. I know if one day you ever get to know about your identity and mine when I'm not around you'll have a lot of questions. So just hear me out Veronica, I trust you, you were born to do this. The skills that you have as a human will enhance your experiences there in my world.
Just focus on your goal for now and learn as much as you can. And remember I believe in you, my angel. You'll overcome all these obstacles and people here will always accept you with open arms as one of their own, you can count on them for anything so don't worry about being a newcomer.
And yes one last thing if you get into any trouble, go to Magnus he's a dear friend of mine there, he knows about you and will help you out no matter what. If you want to know anything more go to Robert and Maryse for your doubts. I want to wish you all the best, and give you all my love and strength, just hang around till I come back. I read the letter and kept staring at it as Magnus asked me, what happened and I showed him the letter as I was just trying to grasp the fact that mom knew all about this and even then she believed that I'll do the right thing. It made my eyes a little teary as Magnus placed a hand on my shoulder and I hugged him.

As he hugged me for a while I cried a little but released from the hug, and walked to the living room as he offered me a glass of water.

"I know this might be hard for you but I agree with Kara, Veronica you have the strength to easily surpass any other witch or warlock and become the strongest, you have what it takes to help others" I kept the glass down and hugged him back and smiled

"thank you, Magnus. I was just shocked to know that mom knew everything about this from the start and even then she knew that I would somehow come across this letter." I exclaimed as he patted my shoulder

"I understand" he comforted me and my phone lit up with a message. I smiled at Magnus and went to check the message

Jessy-
'Hey, V It's been a long since you went away, but we need you here. The new ones need training. If you're safe and went on a mission then do let me know. '

Veronica-
'Hey, Jessy, it's been a long sorry I went away without telling you guys. Don't worry I'll be there. I'll be on my way, and explain everything to you guys.'

Keeping the phone aside I looked at Magnus
"Can you do me a favour?"

He looked at me "what favour? don't tell me you're sneaking away somewhere?" He raised his eyebrows and I giggled

"Well-" I showed him Jessy's message and he looked up at me

"Are you sure, look you go away every time from my place only? If someone asks what will I say?"

"Really? The high warlock of Brooklyn is scared? It's hard to believe that" giving him a look I said as he smirked

"Go on, we can't keep you away just because you became a part of our world recently and besides your friends and close ones would be worried about you going missing one day and not being able to get in touch with you."

"thank you, Magnus. I owe you for this" giving him a side hug I responded

"oh you don't owe me anything, you're just living your life the same way you used to before, and btw if you don't mind me asking where is this agency of yours?"

"thank you, I wish I could tell you it's classified. Sorry, but just to let you know the security is quite strong" I smiled back at him

"But what I can tell you is that we have a really strong security system. Only the security knows whose password is whose. Which after midnight gets erased from the systems every day for our safety.
And if the guards by chance catch you when you can't tell them the password you are killed then and there without further questions."

Magnus's expression changed as I told him about it "Interesting, I love the way they conduct it."

"I know right!!, and here people in your institute of yours truly think that we humans know nothing about technology. I mean please just take a look around yourself, just because one person seems normal doesn't mean the others are too right? But they like to judge" I winked at him and shrugged and passed a smile waving to him as smiled back

"I'll be going now, see you in the evening" I created the portal

"See you too, I'll let you know where to reach"
He said as I nodded looking back and stepped into the portal

I reached the agency and cleared the biometrics scan went ahead and gave the password to the security. We all have separate passwords given to each agent, which we need to tell at the entrance of the agency for entering.
