after a while of talking and simply enjoying each other's company, matt and niola decided to head inside. matt walked over to the door and tugged on the handle. he continued to pull on the door, while niola stood a few feet away, unaware of the fact that they were now locked outside. she was too busy paying attention to the fact that it's starting to rain.

small water droplets began to fall on her skin. she lifted one of her hands to feel the rain. in only a few seconds, it was pouring. there was no roof over the porch, so matt and niola were getting drenched in rainwater.

"what's taking so long?" niola asks, having to shout over the sound of the rain.

"the door is locked." matt shouts back.

niola walks over to him and watches as he yanks on the handle a few more times. then, matt pulls his phone out of his pocket and texts his brothers.
