1 - The Princess of Solaris
Yet another dull day rolls by.
I stroll peacefully through the grounds which surrounds my home on this planet. I navigate myself through the cryptic maze-like gardens, running my hand through the perfectly trimmed topiaries as I travelled towards the front gate.
My life unfortunately does not consist of much, as my title as Princess of Solaris does not contain much substance. I yearn desperately to be in full control as the Queen and succeeding my late mother, but as long as my government occupies my right to the throne, I sit here shamefully helpless as the Clone Wars rage on, having no say in any matter whatsoever. My people are dying, and they will continue to do so if someone does not put an end to Senator Sarin's power trip. He has brought us nothing but war and distress to our once neutral system, much like the recent events involving Duchess Satine and Mandalore.
Today, I managed to evade the guards caging me in for 'my protection', enabling me to walk around the Capital, Vis, and observe my people... I figured seeing as my government would not allow it, the least I could do was to aid them first-hand. According to Sarin, the reason I am being isolated and confined to the palace, was due to the conspiracy of a separatist plot to eliminate the remainder of the Anara {your surname} bloodline. I never believed this of course, as I never found the Senator to be a trusted ally of my family, as my mother and brother had, but look where it got them. I told myself however, that if there was a plot to kill me, surely they would choose wipe out my governmental power first... right?
I sneak through the vast marketplace, observing my people serving food and merchandise under their stalls. The smell of spices and exotic foods flood through my nose, I could see how the villagers had re-done the markings of the buildings around me, children ran at my feet, playing hide-and-seek in between stalls... I smiled to myself; it felt like home. Everyone seemed so happy yet I could somehow sense their sadness. The war was obviously causing them pain and it killed me knowing I could do nothing about it.
I travel further though the Bazaar, until I reached the centre, where a magnificent marble fountain had been built in honour of the passing of my mother, Queen Rokka. I bow my head in reflection and concentrate on the ever fading memory of my mother. Memories of how she used to parade me around the gardens, playing and enlightening me of all the joys of ruling our system came flooding back to me. I allow a tear to slide down my cheek as more past moments hit me. I remember the way she used to tell me and my brother Ayzel the stories of the Jedi Order on the City planet of Coruscant, the way she used to hum a song to lull us to sleep on restless nights. That song would haunt me forever, along with her ghostly voice singing the melody. I remembered her smile, her face, the way she-
BOOM.
An eruption sounds around me, leading my reflexes to cover my head as rock and rubble crumbled from the buildings, spraying me with debris. The sounds of screams echoed through the Bazaar as policing droids circulate the area, rushing over to my aid. I look up to the sky and spot a masked individual on the rooftops, grasping a large gun and a grenade in their hand. Dazed from the explosions and the cloud of dust invading my lungs, my legs suddenly give in and I collapse to the ground, hitting my head on the hard rock floor. My head spins rapidly, and a high frequency ringing sounds in my ears.. I watch as the scene above me begins to spin also, my eyes travelling to my familiar authorities surrounding me. Everything suddenly goes hazy until my mind completely blacks out.
Although all of my vision and majority of my hearing had been eliminated, I was still trapped in the prison cell which was my mind, my thoughts racing, wondering what had actually happened. Had someone tried to kill me? Was this an intended attack whether I was present or not? I wasn't sure.
A high frequency noise suddenly echoed again in my ears, the kind of horrible pitch only a few creatures could hear. The noise heightened and I feel my body being lifted from the ground and suspended in mid-air. Panicked due to my lack of vision, I try and listen to the noises more closely.
"It's the Princess! Get her inside the ship now!" someone ordered. I hear gasps, some screams and more explosive noises. The deafening, confusing noises soften as I seem to move farther away from the vicinity and so I finally succumb to my body being at peace, cutting off all my senses altogether at last.

I try to open my heavy eyelids, a bright light blinding me as I did so. I awake in a white room, with no one inside with me. I tilt my head to the right and notice a crate in the opposite side of the room from me. My eyes travel back to my body, scanning it up and down. I was in a bed of some sorts, covered in an ivory silk material to warm me. I try to sit up, but my body was simply too heavy to lift. As the material slips off of my shoulders, I see a bloodied bandage wrapped tightly around my bicep.
What the hell happened to me?
Minutes pass as I sit questioning myself, and I see the doors suddenly slide open. A man enters, along with two Galactic Clone Troopers behind him. As he nears closer to me, I recognize his weakened face to be none other than my own Senator Sarin.
"How are you feeling, my lady?" Sarin asked me. My throat ran dry at the thought of speaking. I opened my mouth, yet no sound except a strained gasp came out. I tried harder.
"Rather confused, Senator."
"As you should be, your highness. That was quite a serious encounter you had. You're lucky to be alive," Sarin sighed.
"W-What happened?!" I demanded, my eyes darting to the clones guarding the doorway.
"I believe it was a Separatist attack to assassinate you, my lady," Sarin explained.
My heart skips a beat. Someone tried to kill me?!
"Where... where am I?" I attempt to sit up frantically, only bringing myself more pain, especially to my arm. Sarin widens his eyes and places his hand on my good shoulder to lay me back down and relax.
"Calm yourself, your highness. We have taken a ship to transport you to Coruscant. I was to go there myself earlier today, but under the circumstances I realized it not to be wise to leave our sole remaining ruler unprotected and alone back on Solaris. Especially seeing as you were just nearly killed. Once I am in the Senate, I will plead our case to bring in Republic intervention to keep our planet safe. You will also be assigned a protector whilst I go about the proceedings to the Senate. This is not up for negotiation and so I implore you to rest and regain your energy, my lady," Sarin smoothly and calmly explains.
It takes me a minute to absorb his plan, but Sarin had already slid out of the room before I had the chance to object. I do not agree with this plan, to me it seems frankly disastrous. The idea of bringing the Clone Wars to Solaris simply made me sick to my stomach. Had he not learned? Or was my death enough to prove it to him? I'm not sure he would be remorseful either, as it would mean the full control over Solaris would be abdicated to him... which is probably what he desires anyways. I am being taken to Coruscant against my will, to be watched as if I were a child as well as having my planet's future dictated before me without my opinion or jurisdiction having any effect on the matter.
I sigh and close my eyes for a brief moment whilst I try to prevent a migraine. When I reopen my eyes, a clone is stood in the doorway. I jump, startled at his sudden appearance.
"How may I assist you, trooper?" I call out to him. The clone sheaths his weapon and approaches my bedside slowly.
"I'm sorry to interrupt, your highness... I just wanted to check on you. You see, I was the one who carried you here from the explosion," the trooper said to me. My eyes widen as I examine the soldier in front of me.
"I owe you my life, soldier. You have my eternal gratitude. What is your name?" I smile warmly at him. I watch him go to remove his helmet from his head and reveals his face to me. He looked like any other clone I had ever seen, yet he had a scar on his left cheek and had his hair buzzed, bleached platinum blonde.
"CT-4974, my lady."
"No need to be so stern, soldier! Ease up! I owe you my life remember? So what brought you to my planet CT-49-"
"My brothers call me Moxie, your highness. I was summoned to Solaris to escort the Senator to Coruscant due to the increasing tension in your system, my lady."
"Ah... well I appreciate your loyalty and protection, Moxie. After all I am rather fortunate you were there when you were, otherwise someone may have succeeded in their plot to kill me," I said to Moxie, taking his hand in mine.
"You really don't need to show me this much gratitude, Princess... I was only doing my job. But I am glad to see you recovering and alive."
"It may have been your duty to help me, soldier, but it's mine to show humility and gratitude to my rescuer. You not only saved my life, but you also saved the sole ruler of Solaris and for that my whole planet are eternally grateful. Once I arrive at Coruscant, I will ensure you will be rewarded by your legion's General for your actions," I say. Moxie grinned slightly and pulled his hand from mine.
"I appreciate your praise, your highness. I hope you have a safe landing."
Moxie placed his helmet back on and walked back out of the room, leaving me alone in the medbay. I was not appreciating my unwilling journey to Coruscant, but I must admit the sympathy Moxie had shown me sure made it a whole lot more bearable.
Time crawled by slowly, my eyes counting the lines in the ceiling from boredom whilst my energy regained. I secretly hoped that Moxie would return to pay me another visit to make this trip bearable, but he did not return. No one did, in fact. I was left lying on my back, isolated as though I was a prisoner. I experimented on moving my wounded shoulder, but it only brought me more pain, especially when I had tried to remove the bandage to inspect the injure.
Later on, Senator Sarin returned to the medbay along with some clone troopers for security.
"We will be making our arrival soon, your highness. I have an outfit for you to change into after the droid cleans up your shoulder. A trooper will be stationed outside of the door so just call when you are ready to leave, my lady," Sarin commanded. I sighed and nodded, watching him leave once more.
The medical droid suddenly sprung to live and wheeled over to me. They used a blunt blade to cut off the bandage revealing a very red, almost deep wound on my shoulder. My stomach churns just looking at it, but at the same time I couldn't tear my eyes from it. The medical droid suddenly squirted a liquid into the open wound, causing a searing pain to run through my body, making me grasp the edge of the bed sheets and squint my eyes closed to repress any sound from the pain. The droid dabbed my shoulder with a cloth and then placed a patch over it with some form of antiseptic cream on the inside. A soothing coolness washed over me and a wave of relief flushed through my body. I let out a deep breath as I heaved myself up and swung my legs over the side of the bed.
Legs shaking, I pulled myself onto my feet, taking deep breaths as I stagger over to the compartment where my outfit was. As the doors slid open, an emerald green silk like dress was revealed to me. It had sparkly details on it which glistened like the stars in the galaxy around me and my tiara was hung just above it. I pull on the dress and some boots, and then do up my hair as I would if I were to go to an official event back on Solaris. I place the tiara on my head, resting on my forehead as it usually does. I stand in front of the medbay doors. I already longed for my home, and I hadn't even stepped off of the ship yet.

{a/n - This is how I imagined the dress, but feel free to imagine it however you wish!}
Taking a deep breath, I call out to the trooper on the other side and suddenly the white doors slide open swiftly. I step out and the clone bows to me as I pass him. I roll my eyes as it always makes me feel so pretentious, yet I guess that was the price to pay of being born royal. I navigate myself to the front of the ship, where Sarin and a cluster of troopers, including the Admiral, were waiting for me. As I stand before them, they all seem to bend over and bow simultaneously. I raise my eyebrow at them all.
"You look much better your highness," Sarin said to me, his gaze directed to my shoulder, which said injury was made invisible by the long sleeves of my dress. I roll my eyes in my mind at Sarin, bored of his obvious duplicity.
"Indeed. May we move on, I am rather sick of being confined to this dreaded ship. I require some fresh air," I said to Sarin, who glared at the clone near the entry hatch, who frantically pressed the button opening the doors.
"I want two troopers in front of the Princess, two beside her and two behind. We cannot take any chances, Admiral," Sarin demanded to the Admiral, who signalled for his troopers to fall into the required formation.
Bored of waiting for someone to make the next move, I allow my legs to start walking, traveling down the hatch and towards the platform surrounding the Senate building. I could feel Sarin's eyes burning in the back of my head, I could sense his fixation on me, making me feel slightly unnerved. I shake off the feeling and carry on walking towards the towering building. Once we are safely inside, Sarin walks in front of me to stop my movements.
"This is where I leave you, your highness. I am due for an important appointment with Chancellor Palpatine. I will send one clone trooper to escort you to the quarters where you will meet your protector. I-" Sarin said sternly but I cut him off at the end of his sentence, annoying him immensely but he took great care not to show it.
"I request that CT-4974 accompany me," I say immediately. Sarin raises his eyebrows at me and looks as though he were about to object. I smirked knowing he couldn't; after all, who was he to object against the Princess?
"Very well, my lady. Trooper CT-4974, you have been assigned to protect the Princess on her way, you must guard her with your life. And if anything happens to her, YOU will be held personally responsible and will be dealt with as such," Sarin spat at Moxie, who nodded and replied with a confident 'yes sir'. Sarin shot me one last icy look before splitting off with the admiral and the other 5 clone troopers into the temple.
I tuned to Moxie and smiled. "So we meet again soldier."
I hear his robotic snigger from underneath his helmet as we start walking. "Always a pleasure, my lady."
Moxie leads me down the winding corridors of the Senate building. I had never been here myself before, but my mother often told me vivid details of it. I am given looks by most people passing by, aliens and humans alike. We continue to walk until we stop before two large doors at the end of an isolated corridor. Moxie knocks on the door, and after are few seconds, it opened by itself. I peer inside, and stood by the window are two men, one with his back turned to us, the other approaching the doorway.
A bearded man, walked over to us, wearing brown robes. He looked welcoming, yet I did not reciprocate the same expression. I walked towards him, my dress dragging on the floor behind me.
"Princess (y/n), we have been expecting you."
As the bearded man speaks, the other man turns and walks over to us. As he approached us, I got a good look of him: he was wearing black robes and looked slightly younger than the bearded man. He had eyes as blue as the oceans, long curly blondish-brown hair and a coy smirk to match. He took his place next to the other man, his gaze fixated on me.
"Welcome, your highness. I am Obi-Wan Kenobi, and this is-" the bearded man says again but is rudely cut off.
The younger man steps forward, and outstretches hand whilst standing but metres from me.
"Anakin Skywalker, my lady."
