3rd Person's POV

"Slow down, slow down. I'm totally not kidding."

Pepper stands laughing with Sammie, "You're totally rambling."

Tony finally catches up with the two women. Both wanted to go for a morning run and this had been the third time they left him behind.

"No, I'm not."

Sammie glances over at Pepper and rolls her eyes before smiling at Tony, "Lost me."

"Look, you know how you're having a dream, and in the dream you gotta pee?"

Pepper frowns in confusion as they begin to walk, "Yeah."

"Okay, and then you're like, 'Oh my god, there's no bathroom, what am I gonna do?' 'Oh! Someone's watching.' 'I'm gonna go in my pants.'"

Sammie chuckles, "Right. And then you wake up, and in real life you actually have to pee."

Tony nods, "Yes."

Pepper raises an eyebrow, "Yeah. Everybody has that."

"Right! That's the point I'm trying to make. Apropos of that, last night, I dreamt, we had a kid. So real. We named him after your eccentric uncle. Uh, what was his name?"

Pepper nods in understanding, "Right."

"Morgan! Morgan." Tony answers excitingly.

Sammie smiles with a small pout as she thinks about children. Her one chance to have a child, and she ruined it. Sighing to herself she looks away and slowly begins to walk ahead of Tony and Pepper.

Pepper watches her and frowns. Tony glances at his sister and gives Pepper an apologetic smile knowing she would have to talk to her later.

"So you woke up, and thought that we were..."

"Expecting."

"Yeah."

"Yes?" Tony smiles.

Pepper frowns shaking her head, "No."

"I had a dream about it. It was so real."

"If you wanted to have a kid, you wouldn't have done that." Pepper points to Tony's chest attachment

Sammie shakes her head at the two as she slyly listens to their conversation. She understood both sides. Pepper wanted a normal life. She didn't want her loved ones to be in danger every minute. She didn't want to fear the death of Tony. And she just wanted to live without all the gadgets and suits. But to Tony... that was his life. He was an inventor. The suits were his babies. And he couldn't just get rid of them.

"I'm glad you brought this up, 'cause it's nothing. It's just a housing unit for nano particles."

"It's not helping your case, okay?"

"No, no, it's an attachment, it's not a-"

Pepper waves her hands insistently, "You don't need that."

Tony nods, "I know. I had the surgery. I'm just trying to protect us. The future, us, and that's it. Just in case there's a monster in the closet, instead of, you know..."

"Shirts?"

"You know me so well. You finish all my sentences."

"You should have shirts in your closet."

"Yeah." Tony agrees, "You know what there should be? No more surprises. We're gonna have a nice dinner tonight. Show off this Harry Winston. Right? And we should have no more surprises. Ever. I should promise you."

"Yes."

"I will."

Tony kisses Pepper while Sammie freezes and looks over her shoulder.

"Is it safe now?"

Tony rolls his eyes before letting Pepper go and walk over to Sammie. He throws his arm over her shoulder kissing her head of hair.

"Ew cooties."

Tony snorts just as Doctor Strange appears through a portal scaring them all

"Tony Stark, I'm Doctor Stephen Strange. I need you to come with me. Oh, uh, congratulations on the wedding, by the way."

Tony frowns, "I'm sorry, you giving out tickets or something?"

Sammie slaps his chest, "Tickets? Tickets for what? Obviously he's a... well are you a superhero or a villain? We really don't need anymore villains."

Doctor Strange sighs, "We need your help. Look, it's not overselling to say that the fate of the universe is at stake."

Tony glares lightly at Sammie, "You just had to jinx it."

"Sorry that's my bad."

"And who's 'we'?"

Bruce Banner emerges behind Doctor Strange, "Hey, Tony."

Tony smiles looking surprised, "Bruce."

Sammie grins while waving, "Hi Brucie!!"

"Hey Sammie... Pepper."

Pepper nods with a light wave, "Hi."

"You okay?"

Bruce nods at Tony then gives Sammie a hug following Tony.

Sammie looks towards Pepper as Tony steps inside the portal into what Doctor Strange had called a Sanctum Sanctorum.

Pepper pouts before smiling lightly, "Not staying with me again?"

Sammie smiles for the first time thinking back to the New York events that started everything.

"No I think I'm gonna go with Tony... again."

Pepper nods and watches Sammie go into the portal. She sighs as she watches it close then go to sit at a bench nearby.

"Another day..."

Back at the Sanctum Sanctorum, Wong uses magic to show the universe and five out of six Infinity Stones.

"From the dawn of the universe, there was nothing. Then, boom! The Big Bang sent six elemental crystals, hurdling across the virgin universe. These Infinity Stones each control an essential aspect of existence."

Doctor Strange nods, "Space. Reality. Power. Soul. Mind. And Time."

He opens the Eye of Agamotto, revealing the Time Stone as Sammie feels tingles run through her fingers. She frowns and looks down at her hands before biting her lip. Doctors Strange notices her small movement and frowns.

Tony steps forward seeing Strange watch Sammie, "Tell me his name again."

Bruce wrings his hands together as he thinks back to what happened with Thor in space, "Thanos. He's a plague, Tony. He invades planets, he takes what he wants, he wipes out half the population. He sent Loki! The attack on New York, that's him!"

Sammie slightly shivers as flashbacks play in her mind. Closing her hand tight in a fist, she then looks towards her brother who was rubbing his chin talking to himself.

"This is him...What's our timeline?"

Bruce shrugs, "No telling. He has the Power and Space Stones, that already makes him the strongest creature in the whole universe! If he gets his hands, on all six Stones, Tony..."

Doctor Strange frowns, "He can destroy life on a scale hither to undreamt of."

Tony leans against a cauldron, stretching casually, "Did you seriously just say 'hither to undreamt of'?"

Sammie snorts as Tony winks at her, "Hither to undreamt ha..."

Doctor Strange frowns at the two then tilts his head in bewilderment, "Are you seriously leaning on the Cauldron of the Cosmos?"

"Is that what this is...?" Tony chuckles.

The Cloak of Levitation smacks Tony's arm. He frown looking offended.

"I'm going to allow that. If Thanos needs all six, why don't we just stick this one down the garbage disposal?"

"No can do." Strange shakes his head.

Wong nods, "We swore an oath to protect the Time Stone. With our lives."

Sammie frowns muttering to herself, "Well unswear it..."

Wong scoffs. Tony quickly interrupts him as he walks towards his sister, "And I swore off dairy, but then, Ben & Jerry's named a flavor after me, so..."

"Stark Raving Hazelnuts."

Tony shrugs at Doctor Strange, "It's not bad."

"A bit chalky."

Sammie frowns confused, "What the hell are you guys actually talking about right now?"

Wong smiles putting in his two cents, "A Hunka-Hulka Burning Fudge is our favorite."

Bruce looks at them in confusion, "That's a thing?"

"Whatever. Point is: Things change."

Doctor Strange shakes his head frowning at Tony, "Our oath to protect the Time Stone cannot change. This Stone may be the best chance we have against Thanos."

"And still conversely, it may also be his best chance against us."

"Well, if we don't do our jobs."

Sammie scoffs, "And what is your job exactly?"

"We mean besides making balloon animals." Tony says while giving Sammie a high five.

Bruce slaps his hand over his head at the close siblings.

Doctor Strange rolls his eyes, "Protecting your reality, douchebag."

Bruce holds his hands up trying to deflate the fight, "Okay, guys, can we quick cable this discussion right now? The fact is that we have the Stone. We know where it is. Vision is out there somewhere with the Mind Stone, and we have to find him now."

Tony looks at his sister awkwardly before chuckling nervously at Bruce, "Yeah, that's the thing."

Sammie purses her lips looking away as Bruce peeks over at her.

"What do you mean?"

Tony sighs, "Two weeks ago, Vision turned off his transponder. He's offline."

Bruce raises an eyebrow, "What?! Tony, you lost another super bot?!"

"I didn't lose him. He's more than that. He's evolving."

Doctor Strange frowns stepping forward, "Who could find Vision, then?"

Tony shrugs, "Shit. Probably Steve Rogers..."

Sammie shrugs as well, "Probably Wanda..."

Doctor Strange sighs in exasperation, "Oh, great."

"Maybe. But..."

Bruce grits his teeth as he watches Tony turn uncomfortable, "Call him."

"It's not that easy. God, we haven't caught up in a spell, have we?" Tony looks to Sammie who frowns shaking her head.

"No..." Bruce says with a hint of confusion in his voice.

Tony sighs, "The Avengers broke up. We're toast."

Bruce's mouth drops, "Broke up? Like a band?" He glances over to Sammie who shrugs with an uncomfortable grimace, "Like The Beatles?"

"Cap and I fell out... hard. We're not on speaking terms."

Bruce Banner: Tony, listen to me. Thor's gone. Thanos is coming. It doesn't matter who you're talking to or not." Bruce shakes his head then holds up a hand stopping Tony from pulling out his cell phone, "Wait a second. If you're not on speaking terms... and she's here..."

Sammie frowns looking out the building window as all eyes are on her. She glances down at her arm that has still been in a robotic brace made by Tony. Peeking down at her bare ring finger as she bites her lip trying not to let tears fill her eyes.

Bruce sees this and his mouth drops once again.

First of all, how long has he been gone? Second of all, what happened to her arm.

Tony looks at his now sad sister and sighs. He hesitates for a second before pulling out the phone Steve mailed him, muttering 'flip phone'. It seems as though he brings it everywhere, always ready to call his lost friend... brother through marriage.

Before clicking call, he pauses hearing unusual sounds.

"Say, Doc, you wouldn't happen to be moving your hair, would you?"

Doctor Strange frowns trying to look up at one of his stray hairs fluttering, "...Not at the moment, no."

Tony looks at the opening on the ceiling and sees metal scraps flying by outside. He grabs Sammie's hand, exits the Sanctum, and scans the chaotic surroundings. Letting go of Sammie he helps a woman up.

"You okay?"

The woman ignores him and runs away. A car crashes in on a pole behind Tony.

"Sammie stay close..."

Sammie nods not saying anything as she looks ahead in confusion.

Tony frowns putting on his sunglasses, "F.R.I.D.A.Y., what am I looking at?"

F.R.I.D.A.Y., "Not sure, I'm working on it."

"Hey! You might wanna put that Time Stone in your back pocket, Doc!"

"Might wanna use it." Strange states looking ahead.

A huge circular ship is seen floating near Bleecker Street. On a bus, the hairs on Peter Parker's arms stand up. He looks out the window and sees the ship. Tapping his friend from the seat in front of him.

"Ned, hey. I need you to cause a distraction."

Ned nods before standing up, "Holy shit! We're all gonna die! There's a spaceship!"

Peter opens a window on the opposite side of the bus as everyone moves to the side to see the ship. Using his web shooter, he exits the bus unnoticed.

Stanthe bus driver frowns looking in the rear view mirror, "What's the matter with you kids? You've never seen a spaceship before?"

Peter Parker wears his Spider-Man mask as he makes his way towards the ship.

Tony Stark frowns looking around, "F.R.I.D.A.Y., evac anyone south of 43rd Street, notify first responders."

F.R.I.D.A.Y., "Will do."

Doctor Strange stops the ship's engine. The dust clears. Ebony Maw and Black Dwarf exit the ship.

Ebony Maw stands tall smirking evilly at the citizens, "Hear me, and rejoice. You are about to die at the hands of the Children of Thanos. Be thankful, that your meaningless lives are now contributing to..."

Tony interrupts them waving his arms, " I'm sorry, Earth is closed today. You better pack it up and get outta here."

Ebony Maw ignores him and looks at Strange, "Stone keeper... Does this chattering animal speak for you?"

Doctor Strange huffs, "Certainly not. I speak for myself. But you're trespassing in this city and on this planet."

"It means get lost Squidward!"

Sammie chuckles at Tony, "Squidward... good one."

Ebony Maw glares, "He exhausts me. Bring me the Stone."

Tony frowns, "Banner, you want a piece?"

Bruce shakes his head, "No, not really, but when do I ever get what I want?"

Sammie nods, "Literally..."

Bruce attempts to release the Hulk. Instead of Hulk coming out easily, the most that turns green is Bruce's neck.

"Been a while. Good to have you, buddy."

Sammie slaps Tony's arm, "Don't make fun of his performing issues."

Bruce shakes his head, "Sammie please don't refer to me trying to hulk out as performing issues... I just... I need to concentrate here for one second. Come on, come on, man."

Tony frowns raising an eyebrow at the scientist that turned green for a few second before back to his normal self, "Where's your guy?"

"I don't know." Bruce huffs, "We've sort been havin' a thing."

"There's no time for a thing."

"I know."

"That's the thing right there. Let's go."

Bruce gives out a loud grunt, but fails to release the Hulk. Tony glances at Strange.

"Dude, you're embarrassing me in front of the wizards."

Bruce Banner: Tony, I'm sorry. (STAMMERS) Either I can't or he won't-

Tony Stark: It's okay. Hey, stand down. [to Wong] Keep an eye on him. Thank you.
Wong: I have him.
Bruce Banner: Damn it.

As Tony takes a step forward he freezes looking to the side.

"And what are you doing Dyl?"

Sammie frowns glancing over at Tony as she puts her hair up in a ponytail, "What does it look like? I'm helping."

Tony frowns shaking his head as he motions to her brace covered arm, "You can only use your free hand. That brace won't let you use your powers with that hand."

Sammie's mouth falls as she slaps him on the back of the head, "And you didn't give his robotic arm brace a rocket cannon or something."

Tony scoffs, "Um no, not really. I was more worried about trying to figure out how to fix her shattered arm while allowing you the arm joint flexibility you still need."

"Boo."

As Black Dwarf approaches the team, Stark wears his Iron Man suit. He defends himself and casts the Dwarf back to Maw, who dodges him.

Bruce stares in awe, "Where'd that come from?"

Tony smirks, "It's nano-tech. You like it? A little somet-"

Ebony Maw hurls Stark up and attacks the rest of the team. Wong summons a shield.

Doctor Strange peeks over at Bruce and Sammie, "Dr. Banner... if the rest of your green friend won't be joining us..."

Doctor Strange teleports Banner to the park then looks to Sammie and nods to the portal. Sammie groans in annoyance before stepping through the portal.

Stark returns and joins the fight just as the portal to the park closes.

"Gotta get that stone outta here, now."

Doctor Strange shakes his head, "It stays with me."

"Exactly. Bye."

Tony flies away but is cut off by Black Dwarf, sending him to the park. Bruce and Sammie run over to him and help him up.

"Tony, you okay? How we doing? Good? bad?"

Sammie slaps her forehead as she looks away from Banner.

Tony nods with a sarcastic smile, "Really, really good. Really good. Do you plan on helping out?"

"I'm trying. He won't come out."

Black Dwarf arrives to the park. Throwing his hammer at Bruce.

"Hammer." Sammie shouts before pushing Bruce out of the way.

Black Dwarf's hammer slices down a tree beside them, as it falls Sammie somersaults to roll away. Tony nods thanking god that she could at least protect herself without powers or her swords.

Tony's energy beam deflects off Black Dwarf's shield, slicing down trees all around as Bruce crawls under a fallen tree.

He begins hitting himself as Sammie looks at him in question.

"Come on, Hulk. What are you doing to me? Come out! Come out! Come out!"

Hulk comes out for a moment before shouting, "No!" And going away.

Bruce frowns, "What do you mean, 'no'?"

Stark is thrown across the park as Black Dwarf then goes to throw his hammer once again. Blue shocks run around his body as he is shocked by electricity.

Turning behind him, he sees Sammie holding one hand that had blue sparks around it towards him. Her eyes flicker as she tilts her head to the side trying to use as much power as she could. But only being able to use power from one hand made her feel unbalanced. She drops her hand and holds her head as she begins to get dizzy. Black Dwarf swings his arm back and knocks Sammie a few feet away.

Groaning as she hits the ground, Sammie then looks to Tony who was yelling something. She then looks in front of her seeing Black Dwarf's hammer coming straight for her. Before she could blink, Peter drops informs of her holding the hammer.

"Hi Sammie, you look beautiful as always. What's up, Mr. Stark?"

Tony frowns, "Kid, where'd you come from?"

"Field trip to MoMA."

Black Dwarf grabs Parker and throws him away. Sammie gasps getting up and running over to Peter as Tony shoots Black Dwarf down.

"You okay?"

Peter nods at Sammie, "Yeah I'm fine Sam. Promise."

"You be careful. Do you understand me?"

Peter nods quickly not wanting to anger Sammie, "Yes ma'am."

Tony walks over and holds out a hand to help Peter up,"Hey kid."

"What is this guy's problem, Mr. Stark?"

"He's from space. He came here to steal a necklace from a wizard."

Wong and Doctor Strange are fighting against Maw. Maw lifts several bricks from the ground and turns them into sharp points. He sends them towards Wong and Strange. The two make portals and send them back towards Maw. Maw moves a car to protect himself, but one spike still hits his head, creating a cut. Wong is knocked back into rubble and a car, falling to the ground unconscious. Strange flies forward to fight Maw but is knocked back into a building, bricks trapping him

Ebony Maw scoffs, "Your powers are quaint. You must be popular with children."

Maw tries to grab the amulet holding the Time Stone but jerks back when it burns his hand.

Doctor Strange smirks, "It's a simple spell but quite unbreakable."

Ebony Maw glares, "Then I'll take it off your corpse."

Maw pulls Strange away from the building and throws him to the ground. Several wires leap around around different parts of Strange's body. One cord, is slowly tightening around his neck

"You'll find...removing a dead man's spell... Troublesome."

"You'll only wish you were dead."

Strange falls unconscious and Maw moves to grab him. The Cloak of Levitation flies Strange away as Maw shouts angrily, "No!"

Tony frowns as Strange passes through the park, "Kid, that's the wizard. Get on it."

Peter nods, "On it!"

Sammie kisses Peter's cheek before parting his shoulder, "Be careful kid."

Peter nods once more with red cheeks before chasing Strange through Manhattan.

Tony shakes his head at his bemused sister, "You're gonna give that kid a heart attack, Dyl."

"He's so adorable though."

A few blocks away, Maw notices Peter behind him and attacks him, throwing him through a billboard.

Peter groans standing back up, "Not cool!"

Peter attempts to anchor Strange to a lamppost as he notices a light beam from the ship try to pull Strange up, but Maw breaks the lamppost, sending both Peter and Strange up in the ship's tractor beam.

"Mr. Stark? I'm being beamed up."

Tony curses as he tries to fight Black Dwarf now distracted, "Hang on, kid."

As Black Dwarf jumps towards Tony he is sent through a portal. Tony turns towards Wong, the one who made the portal.

"Wong, you're invited to my wedding."

Tony looks towards Sammie who has tears in her eyes already knowing what would happen.

"Everything will be okay Dylann."

"Don't lie to me Tony..."

"I'm sorry."

"Go get him and come back down here."

Tony nods then begins to fly towards the large ship, "Give me a little juice, F.R.I.D.A.Y."

Tony's feet thrusters turn morph together into a larger one.

"Unlock 17-A."

A pod jettisons from the New Avengers Facility.

"Pete, you gotta let go. I'm gonna catch you."

Peter frowns looking down at the now Tony city as the ship starts to fly towards space, "But you said save the wizard!" Peter, based on lack of oxygen, pulls off his mask, "I can't breathe!"

"You're too high up. You're running out of air."

"Yeah! That makes sense."

Peter passes out, free-falling, but not before the pod reaches him. It attaches itself to him, becoming the Iron Spider suit. Now being able to breathe, Peter lands on a bottom part of the ship, standing up heroically.

"Mr. Stark, it smells like a new car in here!"

Tony chuckles shaking his head, "Happy trails, kid. F.R.I.D.A.Y, send him home."

F.R.I.D.A.Y, "Yup."

A large parachute extends from the new suit, sending Peter spiraling back to Earth.

"Oh, come on!"

Sammie makes Wong create a portal to find Pepper. Quickly stepping through, Sammie hurries over to Pepper who had been pacing around a bench.

"Hey!"

Pepper looks up from her phone and jumps.

"Geez Sammie you almost gave me a heart attack."

Tony boards the ship, trying to get to the main bay and keep the Time Stone out of MAW's hands.

F.R.I.D.A.Y, "Boss, incoming call from Miss Potts."

"Tony? Oh, my God. Are you all right? What's going on?"

Tony nods looking around, "Yeah, I'm fine. I just think we might have to push our 8:30 res."

"Why?"

Tony chuckles humorlessly, "Just 'cause I'll... probably not make it back for awhile."

Pepper frowns glancing up at the ship that was slowly disappearing into the sky. She peeks over at Sammie who was looking upset.

"Tell me you're not on that ship."

"Yeah..."

Pepper groans shaking her head as Sammie paces nearby, "God, no. Please tell me you're not on that ship."

"Honey, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I don't know what to say."

Sammie groans taking the phone from Pepper, "No you didn't..."

"Dyl..."

Sammie frowns looking up at the ship, "Tony Stark I swear! You come back! You come back here right now! I'm not kidding! You bring Peter back with you or else the both of you will answer to m-"

F.R.I.D.A.Y, "Boss, we're losing her. I'm going, too..."

Peter having managed to stick to the outside of the ship, crawls inside an airlock.

"Oh my God... I should have stayed on the bus."

(It is just obviously shorter and not as bulky or heavy. But she is still wearing it to help her heal since she had a shattered arm.) m
