3rd Person's POV

Tony twists around punching Steve across the face. As Steve flies into the air, Sammie makes her way to Bucky who was slowly backing away, watching her eyes fill completely black.

Sammie flicks her hand to the side making Bucky's gun fly away as she gets closer to him. He holds up his arms to protect himself but is too slow as Sammie swings and punches him across the face.

Steve lifts himself up off the ground and curses before tackling Sammie to the ground.

Tony takes this opportunity to fly towards Bucky. He grabs him by the throat and smashes him into the ground with his foot on his arm.

Sammie grunts angrily as Steve holds her arms over her head, "Let go now or I will burn a hole through your face."

"Sammie don't do this. He's not that guy anymore. You know this."

"The only thing I know right now is betrayal."

"I don't want to fight you Sam."

"Too bad."

Sammie twists her lower body to the side and pulls up her legs then kicks Steve off of her. She jabs him across the face with her left fist before backhanding him with her right.

Steve grunts out clenching his teeth, "Doll I don't want to hurt you."

"That's long overdue, sweetheart."

Steve's head snaps to the side as Sammie punches him again.

"Fight back Steve."

She punches again and again but he does nothing.

"Now this is just pathetic."

Raising her hand towards him, Steve flies away and grunts as he hits the ground. Sammie smirks evilly walking over to Tony and Bucky who had been fighting, with Tony having the upper hand.

Steve sighs glancing over to Tony and Bucky brawling. Tony aims his gauntlet towards Bucky's face ready to shoot. Steve quickly runs over to his shield and throws it, hitting Tony's shoulder. The blow that Tony had prepared for Bucky's face hits the ground. He quickly turns around to see Steve running at him. Sammie chuckles to herself waving a hand, making him hit an invisible wall and flying to the ground.

Tony chuckles inside his mask, "Thanks sis."

Bucky takes this quick second of distraction to kick Tony off of him. Tony hits the ground and turns around shooting towards Steve. Cuffs attach to Steve's ankles as Sammie steps in front of Bucky who had just gotten up off the ground.

Bucky blocks Sammie's hits missing a few making his head snap to the side. His human hand punches her gut before grabbing her and throwing her away from him.

Sammie chuckles humorlessly as she hits the ground, "Alright... now I'm angry."

Tony takes Sammie's place and punches Bucky, Bucky uppercuts Tony. Tony grabs Bucky by the throat once more as Bucky holds onto Tony's suits' arm. Tony flies into the air and smashes Bucky into a wall. He aims his gauntlet towards Bucky's face once more, but Bucky grabs the suits hand and crushes the sensor. Tony brings a small bomb out the suits' arm as Bucky pushes it away from his face. The bomb flies and hits the wall nearby.

As explosions go off and the walls begin to crumble, Steve hits the cuffs with his shield. The cuffs break off, allowing him to get up and run towards Tony and Bucky. A falling wall separates them all, also leaving falling debris to trap Tony.

Bucky gets up looking at a trapped Tony then snaps his head around trying to find a missing Sammie. He glances over at Steve who was on the other side of the debris.

"Get out of here!"

Bucky nods and quickly runs as Tony tries to get free.

Steve huffs feeling a presence behind him. He turns to see Sammie holding a large piece of scrap metal.

"I didn't want to do this Steve. But you leave me no choice."

Quickly swinging the metal through the air, it hits Steve making him soar into a wall. Sammie throws the metal to the side then waves a hand towards Tony. The metal that traps him soars away allowing him to stand up.

She nods towards Tony and quickly disappears into thin air. Tony walks towards the corridor Bucky had run into. But before he can get further, Steve jumps in front of him.

"It wasn't him, Tony. HYDRA had control of his mind!"

"Move!"

"It wasn't him!"

"I don't care. She doesn't either. She's probably already got to him."

Bucky runs into a open space that had ledges going all the way up to the ceiling. He quickly looks around and presses a button on the wall making the roof open. As he turns to go up the ledges, he freezes seeing Sammie leaning against the wall.

Sammie picks at her nails with a bored stare, "You can try to get out of here Buster... but the only way you're really leaving is a body bag."

Tony lifts into the air in his suit trying to fly over Steve. Steve quickly grabs Tony's leg and knocks the rocket out the door with his shield.

Bucky grits just teeth and breathes heavily looking around for a way out other than up.

"Sammie don't do this..."

"Sammie's not here right now. You wanna leave a message?... Oh wait you are the message." Blue mist with electricity wrap around Sammie's hands as she smirks at the scared Bucky.

"I'm sorry... please..."

"They begged you and you killed them. Now I'm gonna kill you."

Bucky quickly ducks as Sammie tries to hit him with an electric shock. He runs to her tackles her to the ground, aiming to punch her but Sammie catches his fist. She head bumps him making him roll off her. She groans holding her head before elbowing him in the face. Bucky grabs her arm and twists it behind her back then launches her across the room. She hits the wall with a grunt.

Tony kicks Steve off his foot then lands in the room with Sammie and Bucky. Steve goes to follow but is stopped by Tony blasting the wall making debris crumble and trap Steve out.

Tony turns around seeing Sammie on the ground. He quickly makes his way over to her, shaking her shoulder. Sammie blinks her eyes franticly feeling her true self come back to.

"Dylann you okay?"

Sammie shakes her head, "No."

Tony frowns, "Me neither."

Looking up Sammie frowns, "He's getting away."

Tony nods standing up.

Friday, "Left bootjet failing. Flight systems compromised."

"Ah, crap."

Tony helps Sammie up quickly then blasts into the air unstably seeing as only one rocket boot worked. Bucky is halfway up to the roof before Tony kicks him off a ledge. Tony aims his gauntlet once more at Bucky just as Steve makes his way up to them and shields Bucky. The blast makes Tony hit the wall and fall onto two ledges down.

Steve looks down at Tony who was slowly getting up, "They're not going to stop."

Bucky frowns looking past Tony at the empty ground, "She's gone again."

"Turn around..."

The two turn quickly seeing Sammie stand behind them with her arms crossed. Steve looks at her warily. Her eyes were no longer black but how was she feeling at the moment.

"You back Sammie?"

"Yeah... but I'm still pissed."

Kicking Steve off the ledge, Sammie watches him fall attaching a cord to Tony's suits neck. The two fall a few ledges down. Bucky stares at her in disbelief before ducking from her punches once more.

Steve throws his shield towards Tony as Tony aims to shoot Bucky. Tony senses this and shoots the shield away. Steve watches as the shield falls down to the ground.

Tony looks back up and tries to get a shot at Bucky as him and Sammie fight.

"Come on, come on..."

FRIDAY, "Targeting system's knackered, boss."

Bucky kicks Sammie in the stomach making her fly across the room to the opposite ledge.

Tony clenches his jaw angrily before opening his mask and squinting up, "That's it I'm eyeballing it."

The rocket Tony shoots hits a bullseye. The roof top closes as the piece holding it open bursts into pieces. Bucky gasps then growls in anger as he was almost out. Bucky falls and grabs a pole from a ledge just as Tony flies up to him.

Bucky smacks Tony with the pole then tries once more after ducking a punch. Tony grabs the pole and throws it away before wrapping his arm around Bucky's neck.

"Do you even remember them?"

Bucky groans, "I remember all of them."

Bucky pushes backwards making them both fall as Tony continues to hold Bucky's by the neck. Sammie stands on the edge of her ledge and watches Tony and Bucky as Steve makes his way up to them.

Tony grips Bucky's neck tighter as he floats in the air in front of Sammie. Bucky grunts out feeling all the air start to leave his body.

"Sammie please."

"Screw you." Sammie punches him across the face, "You killed my best friend."

As she raises her fist to punch him again, Steve shows up behind her and grabs a hold of her arm.

"Sammie don't!"

"Let go!"

Sammie goes to punch him with her free hand but he catches that one. She grabs his arm and tries to throw him off the ledge as Bucky swings his arms up uppercutting Tony. Sammie kicks Steve's chest making him fall off the ledge but not before grabbing her leg bringing her with him. She gasps grabbing Tony and suddenly all four of them are falling into a deep pit.

Bucky hits the last ledge before the pit as Steve and Tony roll down into it. Sammie hits the ground harshly and tries to blink away her blurred vision. She yelps in pain as she tries to move her left arm.

Tony drags himself up and walks over to Sammie as Steve tries to get up.

"How is she Friday?" Tony asks his AI in his suit.

Friday, "She has shattered all three bones in her arm and has a major concussion. She needs medical attention right away."

Tony grunts out brining his hand to her face. Sammie's eyes flutter closed just as they make eyes contact. Angrily Tony stands up just as Steve does.

Steve looks at Sammie in despair. He wanted to go over to her and make sure she was okay. But he knew Tony wouldn't allow him to.

"This isn't gonna change what happened." Steve grunts out.

"I don't care. He k*lled my mom."

This is the last thing Sammie hears as she loses consciousness.

The two fight as Sammie slowly starts to come back to. Bucky lays on the ground a few feet away from her with his metal arm completely gone.

"He's my friend."

"So was I."

Sammie slowly sits up holding her broken arm to her chest as she groans in pain.

"Stay down. Final warning."

"I could do this all day."

As Sammie's blurry vision starts to clear up, she recognizes two bodies. One was her brother and the other her husband.

Steve raises his shield up into the air as he hovers over Tony. Tony shields his face his arms. Sammie screams out no as Steve brings the shield down. Sammie and Tony stare at Steve in shock as the shield rests in Tony's suits chest. Steve falls to the ground breathing heavily as Tony stares at him bewildered.

"I'm sorry..." Steve shakes his head and stands up. He makes his way over to Sammie who had been sitting still in shock over what had just happened.

Sammie flinches away as Steve reaches down to help her up. Steve frowns watching her move away from him. She shakes her head frantically as tears roll down her face. Slowly taking her right hand and pulling her ring finger off, she tosses it at Steve's feet.

"Don't..."

"Sam-"

"Just go..."

Steve nods feeling his eyes tear up. He bends down and picks up her ring before grabbing his shield and helping a disoriented Bucky up off the ground.

Tony looks at his heartbroken sister and glares at Steve's back, "That shield doesn't belong to you. You don't deserve it. My father made that shield!"

Steve freezes then drops his head down and let's go of the shield. The shield lays in the middle of the pit as Steve limps away with Bucky.

Sammie sniffles before sobbing Tony slowly makes his way over to her. A tear falls down his face as he pulls her into a hug. The two holding each other not knowing what was to come.

...

Sammie sits in front of Wanda's cell smiling as the girl talks to her about anything and everything.

"I'm sorry you're still in here. I wish I could do something."

Wanda shrugs, "I know you would if you could."

Sammie nods then frowns, "Nat is still missing."

Wanda frowns, "She is probably on the run. I mean she did let you guys get in the plane."

"I hope she's okay."

"She's a strong woman. The question is... are you okay?"

Sammie looks down at her bare ring finger and then smiles painfully, "I'm fine..."

Wanda smiles sadly, "Sure you are."

"Does he still call?"

Sammie now sits in front of Sam's cell as she messes with her nails, "Every day."

"And do you answer?"

"Why would I do that?"

"Because you're his wife."

"Hmm..."

Sam rolls his eyes with a light smile as Sammie shrugs, "I know he kept secrets from you. And I'm not saying that's okay. But how would you he have been able to tell you what happened? You don't think you wouldn't have gone haywire Sammie?"

Sammie pouts before smiling sadly, "Oh I know I would've. The scary part is... I think I would've killed them both. And that scares me. I was so angry. I was so hurt. He never asked me once how I felt about anything. I just followed along without question because I loved him."

"Love."

Sammie's head snaps up as she looks at Sam in confusion, "What?"

"You said loved, you meant to say love."

Sammie nods slowly, "I can't say those words right now..."

"What that you love Steve still?"

"Of course I do. And that's why it hurts so much. We fought... granted I mostly fought him. But we can't be together right now. Shouldn't."

"Everything will work out Sammie. I promise you. In the end it will always work out."

...

"It's just the first pass."

Rhodey nods as he walks with the help of Tony's invention, "Yeah."

"Give me some feedback, anything you think of. Shock absorption, lateral movement. Cup holder?"

"You may wanna think about some AC down in..."

Tony gasps catching Rhodey as he misses his footing.

"Let's go. I'll give you a hand."

"No. No. Don't help me." Rhodey pants as he holds himself up off the ground, "138. 138 combat missions. That's how many I've flown, Tony. Every one of them could've been my last, but I flew them. Because the fight needed to be fought. It's the same with these Accords. I signed because it was the right thing to do. And yeah, this sucks. This is, uh... This is a bad beat. But it hasn't changed my mind. I don't think."

Tony looks at Rhodey smiling before holding out his hand. Rhodey grabs it and grunts as Tony helps him stand.

Looking at Rhodey proudly Tony asks, "You okay?"

"Oh, yeah."

"Hello ladies!"

Tony and Rhodey chuckle as Sammie barges into the room. She wears something similar to Rhodey's leg robotics on her left arm. It was way better than an ugly cast.

"How's the arm?"

Sammie smiles raising her arm to Rhodey as it makes mechanical noises, "It's aight."

Tony frowns playfully, "Aight? Where did you hear that word?"

"On tv. You know the rectangle box that shows moving pictures on the screen."

Rhodey bursts out laughing as Tony rolls his eyes, "Ha ha very funny."

Knocking on the window interrupts them all as they look over and see an old man in a FedEx uniform.

"Are you Tony Stank?"

Sammie snorts was Rhodey nods laughing.

"Yes, this is Tony Stank. You're in the right place. Thank you for that! Never dropping that, by the way. 'Table for one, Mr Stank'. 'Please, by the bathroom'." Rhodey leaves the room as Tony shakes his head laughing inwardly.

After grabbing the package, Tony walks into his office with Sammie on his heels.

"What is it?"

"Not sure yet."

Tony sits staring at the letter in his hand, while Sammie holds her vibrating phone as she stands by the window. She presses the green button and just stands with the phone to her ear for a moment before pushing the red end call button. Just like she did every time the same number popped up. Every day at the same time.

At first she wouldn't even answer. But she slowly started to and would just allow them to revel in the silence and know that the other person is okay.

Sighing in frustration, she finally turns off her phone completely and takes the battery out.

Tony raises an eyebrow, "You okay?"

Sammie nods, "Yeah I'm good. So whatcha got there? Anything exciting?"

"I don't know... let's read it."

'Tony... I'm glad you're back at the compound. I don't like the idea of you rattling around a mansion by yourself. We all need family. The Avengers are yours. Maybe more so than mine. I've been on my own since I was 18. I never really fit in anywhere, even in the Army. My faith's in people, I guess. Individuals. And I'm happy to say that, for the most part... they haven't let me down. Which is why I can't let them down either. Locks can be replaced, but maybe they shouldn't. I know I hurt you, Tony. I guess I thought by not telling you about your parents... I was sparing you... but I can see now that I was really sparing myself. And I'm sorry. Hopefully one day you can understand. I wish we agreed on the Accords. I really do. I know you're doing what you believe in, and that's all any of us can do. That's all any of us should.'

'And to Sammie, I know I screwed up. I hope that I can make it up to you one day. You and Tony take care of each other. I love you, doll. And I'll see you again soon.'

FRIDAY, "Priority call from Secretary Ross. There's been a breach at the Raft prison."

Sammie smirks shaking her head as she looks at Tony who smiles and shrugs.

"Yeah, put him through."

"Tony, we have a problem." Secretary Ross says as he answers the phone.

Tony clicks his tongue, "Uh, please hold-"

"No, don't."

Sammie laughs then leans back in to read the rest of the letter.

'To you both. No matter what... I promise you... if you need us... if you need me... I'll be there.'

That's the end of Captain America: Civil War!!!!

Next up Avengers: Infinity War!!! Super excited about it but it's gonna take a while it write since it's so new and I'll probably have to keep rewatching the movie. 😂😂

Ugh this movie makes me so sad honestly I did not like the team being split up like this. And I felt so bad for Tony. Like I felt bad for Bucky for obvious reasons... hydra. But Tony just found out his mom was killed by someone who was being protected by the guy he thought he was friends with. That hurts y'all. It cuts deep 🥺😭😩
