Cinnamon Twists
"Aaaaaaa, my back!" I moaned as I stretched out your limbs, letting out a sight after I did. "That happens when you get back in the grind Y/n." Ally said with a grin, seeing her hold my things in hand. "You are so right there. You locking up tonight?" I asked her as I took my things from her. "Mhm. Kai and John leave the same time as you and Grey, and the guys downstairs work longer hours, so I'll be locking up for the month." She told with a shrug. "Ah right with how crazy these sales are it's best to work longer to get ahead," I said, seeing her nod with a smile before her smile grew wider as Greyson approached us.
"Alright, I'm all set, got everything?" He asked me. "Mhm, sure of it too," I told him. "Great, Ally I got that note too, you're lucky you're below the average height for a woman in her twenties." He jokingly threatened. "You're only saying that cause your legs are freakishly long!" Ally shot back with a grin. As the two teased one another, I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I checked to see why to see a couple of photos from Matt's shoot, which I loved, random Twitter tweets, things from Instagram and two missed calls from Tom. "Oh damn, must've been important," I said to myself, quickly looking back to see Greyson and Ally still in conversation with one another.
I quickly called Tom, humming as I waited for him to answer. "Hey, almost home?" I heard his voice say, shocking me in the process. "God, you scared me, but uh not really? Like, we're just fifty steps away from the car but Grey is crushing on Ally mega hard." I giggled, hearing Tom chuckle on the line. "Yeah, it's so obvious too. Anything crazy happen on your first day back?" He asked. "Nope, everything was just back on the grind, I know by the end of this month I'm gonna take the couch the minute I'm home," I said.
"Oh no, you won't. I got a marathon to watch." Tom said, a grin coming to my face. "Well, we'll just see who gets there first then." I challenged. "I guess we will." We both chuckled before he asked why I called. "Could ask you the same thing. You called twice earlier and I had my phone on silent." I said. Tom clicked his younger in thought. "Riiiiight, I called you earlier to ask if you were done for pizza for dinner since the others are. The second time had to be a butt dial or something." He said. "Ah, I'm done for pizza. Oh! Please tell you guys will get those garlic breadsticks, oh with wings! And those cinnamon sticks too!" I said, getting excited over the thought of eating.
I heard Tom laugh, his voice sending a shock through my core. It wrung at the strings of my heart. God, it felt weird. "You must love food more than anything huh?" He asked. "Uh, duh! If food can fatten me up then there's a chance there'll be a fat rock on my finger too." I laughed, as he did the same. We talked just a bit more before I decided it was best to end the call, due to me getting tired of just standing there. "Alright dude, I'll see you when we get home," I said. "See you soon, you two drive safe." He said. "We will, later." I would hang up and tuck my phone in my pocket to turn back and yell;
"Grey, quit air humping Ally, and let's go, these heels are giving it to me and I won't hesitate to give it to you!" I yelled, seeing Ally's face burn red with her flipping me off and Greyson chuckling. "Alright, later Al's, she-demon calling." He said to her. "Heard that!" I sassed with my hands on my hips. "You were supposed to!" Alley sassed back. The two laughed and a fist bump before parting ways. Me and Ally waved goodbye to one another before I and Greyson walked out to the car. "Reminds me, you down for pizza tonight?" I asked him as I opened the passenger side door.
Greyson hummed in thought as he got into the car, putting his things in the backseat. "Yeah I'm done for it, really anything, to be honest, we've been cooking all week." He said. "Right there, some junk food after a long day sounds like heaven to me." I grinned as I got into the car, closing the door and buckling myself in. "You said it, are picking it up are they already order it and it's on the way?" He asked. "I believe it's on the way there, we might catch up to the poor socially awkward teen delivering it to us." I chuckled. "Jesus, I'm scared for Jasmine when she gets older for a job, I just know you're gonna bug her," Greyson said as he drove out the parking lot.
"Oh, please. With how crazy protective you are, you let that girl pick up a pen to even write on her resume." I teased. "Hey, when you become a parent you'll understand." He defended. "Dude, I practically raise you, and you're older than me," I said. "Hey!" He whined. I laughed as he continued to poke fun at one another on the ride home. Once we were home, we saw a small car with some pizza shop logo on the side of it parked by the sidewalk, leaving the driveway open for Greyson to drive into.
"Wow, made it just in time," Greyson said, with surprise in his voice as he parked the car. "I didn't expect it either honestly, but hey, everything is gonna be hot and ready!" I told with a grin as I rubbed my hand together in excitement. "Only food runs in your head you troll." He chuckled. "Hey, hey...I only accept ogre." I said, seeing him burst into laughter with me doing the same. We both got out of the car and walked our way to the front door to in fact see a teenage girl, get startled by the two of us. "Oh! Gosh, sorry I didn't-" "It's okay sweetie, you didn't do anything, we shouldn't have snuck up on you like that. You got your tip right?" I asked as I opened my purse to search for five dollars to give.
"Yes, more isn't necessary-" She started to be cut off by Greyson. "There's no point in fighting her kiddo, she'll find a way to give anyone anything." He told her with a chuckle. "He's right too, here you go sweetie, have a good night!" I told the girl as I handed her the five dollars. "I-I uh, thank you! And you too- the both of you!" She timidly said as she waved to us before heading off. "She was adorable," I said as I rang the doorbell for one of the guys to answer. "Yeah, she was a good kid." Greyson yawned. The door opened to reveal Matt, with a bottle of water in hand. "Y/n, Greyson!" He said please.
"Hey man, I'm assuming the shoot went well?" Greyson asked as he walked in first, me following behind. "Definitely! My manager was able to get in touch with your company so there's a small chance you guys might see a lot more of me!" Matt said excitedly. I would clap in excitement. "Perfect, can't wait! With you on the team, it'll be even better." I said. "Ah, I'm glad you think so too! Oh, by the way, we got the food, it's on the table." Matt told us. "Great, could you make a plate for me? I wanna change, don't wanna get grease on these." I said, making my way to the stairs. "No problem, want me to the same for you Grey?" Matt asked him.
"Nah, I'm starving. Please tell you guys got the cinnamon twists." Greyson said as he walked his way to the dining room with Matt. "Double-checked!" Matt told him. "Don't eat all of it!" I hollered as I walked up the stairs. "We won't!" I heard them both yell back in reply. I hurried my way to my room to change, feeling my body relaxing once I was in a pair of random shorts and some edgy band shirt. The minute I got my shirt over my head I heard knocking at my door. "Come in!" I told, hearing the door creak open to show Tom holding two plates with food.
"This is not what I meant by send your cutest delivery boy," I said as I crossed my arms, letting out a faked an annoyed huff. Tom looked shocked if anything. "Wow. Guess I'm just gonna eat all this pizza and cinnamon twists all by myself!" He claimed walking away from the doorway. "Wait! Wait! Dude, I was just joking!" I laughed as I followed him down the hall to his room. "Damn right you were, really hurt my fweelings." Tom faked a hurt voice that brought me to laugh and hit his arm. "Whatever you nerd, let's get some tunes playing!" I cheered, opening the door to Tom's room, getting a full eye of the room you've been in before.
The walls to his room were a royal dark blue, with the ceiling staying a pale white. His king-size bed was right by his closet, the headboard facing the wall, mainly so he could watch the TV that hung on the wall before it. On his walls were a few posters of records for all kinds of bands, mainly being rock and metal. Along with the records were his four trusty guitars that hung from the wall, practically taking the eye of any aspiring artist. By the window next to his closet were two bean bags, one being dark blue and the other was a mid-night black.
Right on the side of the dark blue bean bag was a cold bottle of Mountain Dew while next to the other was a cold bottle of lemonade. "Aw, how sweet of you." I teased with a grin as I plopped down into the black bean bag, taking hold of the lemonade bottle placed for me. "Only the best, in return of sour patch kids of course." He smirked, sitting in the beanbag next to me. "I knew I forgot something!" I groaned, smacking my forehead at how easily I let that thought slip my mind. Tom chuckled, taking a bite of his cinnamon twist. "It's cool Y/n, don't beat yourself up for forgetting something so easily simple to remember and treasured to me." He told with a mouthful.
"Oh shut it you douche." I huffed, gently kicking his side as I laid back in the bean bag, biting into my slice of pizza. Tom would clean his hands before setting his plate down and reaching to the side to grab his guitar that rested upon its stand. It was dark gray guitar with scrapes here and there. It clearly has been through a lot but was pulling through. "Ready to get some tunes playing?" He asked, getting ready to start playing no matter the answer. "Hell yeah! Didn't come here to talk about life." You told him taking a swig of your lemonade.
Tom would roll those black orbs he called eyes as he let out a soft chuckle before playing away. He played a couple of songs from bands you both were aware of getting into a conversation about it too as well. "Can I play you something I've been working on? Personal wise." He asked in a nervous tone. "Of course you can man, play whatever you want." You told him as sat up in the beanbag, crossing your legs in your seat. "Alright, don't make fun of me either, even if I fuck up on a note." He warned. You held up your hands in defense. "I'll try." You told with a grin. You and Tom shared a brief laugh just before he started his song.
((What you'll see below is a video of how Tom will be playing the song, post the lyrics underneath as he is singing them, if this video won't play as he's singing, then use the one up top or..I don't know.))

Talk to me softly
There's something in your eyes
Don't hang your head in sorrow
And please don't cry
I know how you feel inside I've
I've been there before
Somethin's changin' inside you
And don't you know
Don't you cry tonight
I still love you baby
Don't you cry tonight
Don't you cry tonight
There's a heaven above you baby
And don't you cry tonight
Give me a whisper
And give me a sigh
Give me a kiss before you
Tell me goodbye
Don't you take it so hard now
And please don't take it so bad
I'll still be thinkin' of you
And the times we had, baby
And don't you cry tonight
Don't you cry tonight
Don't you cry tonight
There's a heaven above you baby
And don't you cry tonight
And please remember
That I never lied
And please remember
How I felt inside now honey
You gotta make it your own way
But you'll be alright now sugar
You'll feel better tomorrow
Come the morning light now baby
And don't you cry tonight
And don't you cry tonight
And don't you cry tonight
There's a heaven above you baby
And don't you cry
Don't you ever cry
Don't you cry tonight
Baby maybe someday
Don't you cry
Don't you ever cry
Don't you cry
Tonight
As he played the last strum to his guitar, his soft voice sung out before coming to end, with a satisfied smile he looked to you, to see you frozen in surprise. "Uh..Y/n..?" He choked. "Dude..that was fucking amazing!! Are you kidding me?! Do you understand what kind of voice you have!?" You blurted out to him, taking the tall brunette by surprise from your compliments. "S-Seriously? You aren't fucking with me?" He asked. "Dude of course not! Fake enthusiasm is something easy to see, but this is-" You said as you gestured to your wide smile.
"Is real my friend, it's real." You admitted. Tom would chuckle as he set his guitar onto its stand before rubbing the back of his neck, just as a faint blush rose to his cheeks. "Thanks, Y/n, I needed that. I honestly thought it was ass." He said. "No way man, that was amazing. If I liked it, I'm sure others will like it too. I mean- that sounded a bit biased, but I know talent when I hear it." You told confidently. You and Tom shared another laugh just before you sipped from your lemonade and asked. "So, what's it for? Sounded kinda, lovey-dovey." You said.
"Oh, well, it's for my girlfriend."
