The next day, journalists published their articles about what happened to Clara, but the article that spread the most was entitled "Is Clara William’s death a planned murder or a natural death?"

So people began to suspect the president that he was behind Clara's murder because, in her last episode, she said that she would make a surprise in the next one, and this doubt reached President Adrian, who summoned his deputy Arthur and said to him, "I wished I could kill her, but I didn't."

Arthur replied, "Are you talking about Clara?" 

Adrian said to him, "Didn't you get the news?  All the newspapers are talking about her death."

He continued, "I want you to order someone you trust and make him go immediately to the doctors who dealt with Clara’s case and make them write a detailed medical report explaining the cause of her death."

Then he said sarcastically, "It seems that this woman caused me problems during her life and after her death." Arthur laughed and then left, to carry out the order. 

At that time, Ethan was standing next to Clara's grave and crying, after the funeral ended and all her relatives and friends had left.

He wanted to say something to her and in his heart, he felt that even if she died, she would hear him, but he couldn't speak because his tears and sadness were too intense.

So he sat down on the ground and touched her grave, trying to calm down, then he said: "Do you know, yesterday I fainted and I dreamed that I was standing on de Blemer beach, on the way to the ocean, with anger and sadness written all over my face and my steps quickening."

Then he felt a little happy, drawing a sweet smile on his face exhausted by tears, then he continued: "I felt a hand touch my shoulder. I was sure it was your hand. I looked and sure enough, there you were, standing next to me, wearing that white dress, in which I saw you when we first met.Tears began to fall from my eyes, but you wiped them away with the reassuring smile that was always present on your face, just like you always did to me when you were alive."

Ethan couldn't control the feeling of sadness that came over him, the smile on his face disappeared, he continued, "But then I woke up,finding that I will never see you or hear your voice again. Didn't I tell you that I wanted to die before you? Answer me, didn't I already tell you that, why did you die and abandon me? I can't accept this ending. I can't stand my life without you, I don't even know how you feel or what is happening to you now."

He continuously laughed loudly, sad tears falling from his eyes, and said: "I hate my stupidity, I didn't ask you about these questions when you were alive, I didn't ask you them when you were in the hospital, I was asking you now, after your death."

After that, he started placing roses around her grave and remembering the memories they had together, then he said: "Finally…", and he was silent for a while until he calmed down and then continued: "I want to apologize to you, Clara, for every moment  I wasn't with you, and because I didn't try to check on you, and because of my stupid thinking that you were okay because you weren't complaining about anything."

He then continued his words while sighing, "I am truly the stupidest man in this world. I used to leave you for days, even weeks, to take care of my part-time job. I thought that if I saved more money, we would have more time together in the future. That was my intention.
However, I didn't think death would take you away at any time. I thought we would be together forever, so I didn't care about spending time with you or asking about your health or the problems you were having. Even when you died, I didn't be by your side, even though you always cared about me."

He wiped his tears, tried to smile again, and said, "I just hope you know my intentions were good. I did all these stupid things because I love you, and I hope you will come to visit me later in my dreams until I come to you, which I hope to be soon, rest in peace, the best thing that has ever happened to me in this life."

Then Ethan went home and when he got there, he noticed Doctor John standing near the house. John saw him, he quickly approached and said, "I have an important thing to tell you."

Ethan looked at him and then said angrily: "I'm sorry, but I can't bear to see your face, so send me another doctor if it's really important."

John pulled away from Ethan for a moment and then whispered to help him calm down, “I'm sorry about Clara's death, but I want you to know that I had nothing to do with her death and the information I want to tell you proves that."

At that moment, John saw Ethan crying. As he approached him to comfort him, Ethan said, "I can't bear to remember her death." Then continued, "Come in with me, I have to tolerate you."

When they entered the house, John said: "You are right, your wife's death was not ordinary."

Ethan interrupted and asked eagerly, "How did Adriana kill her?"

John replied: "No, your wife had Candida Auris fungus in her body."

Then he continued: "At first I noticed signs of swelling in her ears and there was a little white coating on part of them. After that when she came out of the coma she started coughing strongly and the white membrane in her ears became more and more. Then a white liquid started to appear, and what made me more suspicious was that I saw a white layer on the IV catheter where we took Clara's blood sample, and her temperature was very high. I think these are signs of Candida Auris fungus. "

Surprised, Ethan commented in a skeptical and incredulous tone: "How do you know that this is Candida Auris in particular, even though it is not a common fungus and all of this is not convincing evidence of its existence?"

John felt angry at the skeptical tone in which Ethan spoke, but he tried to control his anxiety and replied: "First of all, these are not evidence, although they made me analyze your wife's blood with a mass spectrometer, which proved to me that Candida Auris was in your wife's blood, and this is proof of the presence of this fungus. Second, I thought of Candida Auris when I saw these symptoms because I had learned about this fungus and its symptoms before."

Ethan was silent for a moment, stared at John, and then said, "Let me see Clara's blood test that proves it."

John nervously replied: "I forgot to bring it."

Ethan commented angrily, "Then get out of my house and tell Adrian that I will do everything I can to expose his plan to kill Clara and I will not believe these evidence-free excuses."

John shouted: "Mr.Ethan, let me continue for a moment, because there's a disaster, and then I'll leave your face to get the tests that prove it."

Ethan was silent, then John continued angrily: "In my life, I have never seen Candida Auris spread like this. Of course, you know that this fungus is mostly found in the respiratory system, in the blood, or the ears, but your wife has the fungus in all three places, which shows how quickly it spreads and divides unnaturally, and this explains her death so soon after she was infected as you said yesterday that the day before she died she showed no signs of any disease. This means that the fungus in your wife's body had become more dangerous than usual."

Ethan tried to process what he heard and then replied, "I can't believe it. This fungus usually infects the elderly and spreads very slowly in their body. It won't even kill someone unless that person has very low immunity. You're telling me now that this fungus could kill Clare, who was not yet forty years old, in a few days or a few hours, because it had spread all over her body."

John commented, "That's why I came to you, epidemiologist because I know that this information doesn't make sense and we don't understand some things about this fungus."

After a moment of silence, John said: “There are some questions that need to be answered to understand more information about this fungus. First of all, how was Clara infected with this fungus? Did she go to a nursing home, or hospital or have elderly parents get infected with it?"

John replied: “I don't think she's been to any hospital recently. Also, her parents passed away, so I think she didn't go into a nursing home and has no relatives left except her sister, who lives in another state."

Ethan then asked, "Why did you say I think, wasn't Clara your wife so you knew what was going on with her."

Ethan sighed and said, "I've been busy with work lately so I don't know the specifics of her days. That's why I was hoping that Adrian would be the one who killed her so I wouldn't have to carry the guilt when she was sick and I wasn't by her side."

John reassured: "Don't worry, if your wife was sick or had to go to the hospital she would have called you, but if not the hospital would have called, and it is reasonable that if she was seriously ill she wouldn't travel to Liberia from what I've heard."

Then a look of surprise appeared on Ethan's face and he said, "You're right. If she had a fungal infection before traveling, even for a short time, she would not travel because she would be tired, so sure she contracted this fungus during the trip or after returning. And this effectively confirmed that Candida Auris fungus had killed her within hours or one day."

John commented: "You're right, so we need to know where Clara went during this time, know how she got infected with this fungus, to know how this fungus has grown and become that dangerous."

Ethan suggested, "We should talk to Abraham, Clara's assistant since he's been with her this whole time."
