Today, your parents were coming to visit to meet the new member of the family. You handed Emerson to Newt so you could get ready even though you were in the hospital. You quickly get changed from your hospital nightgown to a pair of black shorts and a red t-shirt. You throw your hair in a ponytail and put on some socks.

Once finished, you took Emerson from Newt's arms and got her dressed and feed her.

As you feed Emerson, she kept glancing between you and the bottle and you couldn't help but smile down at her. When Emerson finished her bottle, there was a knock on the door. Newt got up from the chair and answered it and your mom and dad appeared in the room. Your mom takes one look at Emerson and immediately starts to squeal with joy.

"Oh honey, she's beautiful." Your mom says gently giving you a hug as Emerson was still in your arms.

"Thanks mom, you wanna hold her?" You ask as she immediately says yes and holds her arms out to hold Emerson. Your dad was standing by Newt the whole time watching both of you with Emerson.

After a while, your mom hands Emerson back to you as she starts to get fussy and squirm about. You took her and rocked her gently until she fell back asleep.

"Dad, you wanna hold her next?" You ask your father, he hesitates a moment before taking her carefully in his arms.

You and Newt sit on the edge of the bed watching your parents with their new granddaughter happily.

"So what's her full name?" Your mom asks playing with Emerson's brown hair as your dad cradles her in his arms still.

" Her name is Emerson Leigh Isaac." Newt says while holding your hand.

"A beautiful name for a beautiful girl." Your mom says.

" Yes indeed, just like her mum." Newt says and turns to you giving you a loving smile and you return the gesture resting your head on Newt's shoulder.

Today was absolute perfection!!
