You were awoken by the sound of crying coming from the room across from yours and Newt's shared room. Opening your eyes slowly, you turn your head to see that Newt has already made his way to the door before you could even protest.

Soon enough, the crying died down so that it was only whimpers. Slowly but surely, you throw the duvet covers off your body and make your way to Emerson's room. You peel the door open slowly to reveal a sleeping Newt in the armchair by the window with a sleeping Emerson laying peacefully on his chest.

You open the door more so you could walk in. As you get closer to Newt and Emerson, you couldn't help but smile with pride at the loves of life sleeping. You place the white blanket the was draped over change table ad place it over your husband and daughter. You kiss them both on their foreheads before making your way back to you bed, pulling the covers over you once again and drifting off to a peaceful sleep.
