It was a normal day. Naruto was at the Academy while Y/n did her errands.

Naruto huffed and got up from the ground. He had once again, lost to another fight against his rival, Sasuke Uchiha. After he was thrown to the ground by the Uchiha, the entire class laughed at him with the exception of 4 people. One being Sasuke himself and 2 of them, being his best friends, Shikamaru and Choji.

"Hey Naruto, are you alright?" Shikamaru asks as he and choji walk towards him.

"Yeah I'm fine." Naruto said, lifting his arms up to rest behind his head. "That slug..I'll get him next time!"

Later, Naruto and his friends spent the rest of the day at the playground until sundown.

Y/n's Pov

I was running towards the academy.

'Ooh I'm so late! I was so busy with getting things done, I lost track of time!' I thought.

Hopefully Naruto wasn't left behind...or isn't by himself..

As I'm running, I hear children laughters coming from a park beside me. Looking inside the park, I see Naruto playing with two boys who were around his age.

Y/n sighed in relief. She noticed two men walking in the park.

'Looks like Naruto's friends's fathers came to pick them up.'

Naruto watched his friends leave, that's when I came in and got his attention.

"Naruto! Over here!" I called out. When he noticed me, he smiled and ran over.

"Y/n!" He said happily.

He jumped as I picked him up. "Oof! You've gotten slightly more heavier."

After, I started walking back to the house to make dinner.

A few days had passed. It's officially been a week since Y/n moved to Konoha and met Naruto.
And since then, everything's been great for her so far!

Naruto quickly became attached and went over to Y/n's house almost every single day. Even recently starting to stay overnight for most days, causing Y/n to buy clothes in his size to keep at her house for when Naruto arrives.

It was slowly, but quickly at the same time, becoming Naruto's home too and Y/n didn't mind it at all.

Naruto was like a son to her. A son she never had.

Y/n sat on the couch reading a book when the front door to her home knocked.

Upon opening the door, she is immediately met with the Leaf Village's Third Hokage; Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Recognizing the Hokage attire on the elderly man, Y/n opened the door fully wide and bowed respectfully.

"Lord Third! I-it's a pleasure to meet you!" Y/n greeted.

Sarutobi nodded his head slightly before speaking. "Hello ma'am. You're L/n Y/n, correct?"

"Yes, sir."

"Alright. Then that means you know about Naruto?"

"Why yes I do! Did something happen?"

"Not necessarily. The brat has been speaking nonstop about you so I had to come see you in person. To be honest, Naruto has never been this happy before so it made me curious."

Y/n giggled. "I see...would you like to come in?"

"I do, actually. There's something important I need to talk to you about."

Y/n let the man inside, closing the door and leading the Hokage to the living room. She made tea and sat across from the elder to see what he wanted to say.

"Five years ago, the Leaf Village was attacked by a ginormous beast called The Nine-Tailed Fox. It caused great havoc to our homes and civilians.
The village's Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, ended up sacrificing himself to seal the beast and put a end to the Nine-Tails's rampage."

Y/n gasped in horror. 'So the rumors were true...'

"That sounded terrible!...but..why are you telling me this?"

"Because the Fox demon was sealed within Naruto. He is the possessor of the Nine-Tailed Fox!"

Y/n eyes widened. 'Possessor of the the Nine-Tails? The beast that claimed so many lives and destroyed homes..?'

"Haven't you always wondered why Naruto would be confused when you give him attention and is being nice to him? Usually, the villagers would shun him and avoid him. Even when I do something, they won't listen."

Y/n continued to listen.

"That's why Naruto talks so much about you. You give him attention and was never rude to him."

"Naruto was only a mere newborn baby when he was unfortunate enough to become a
Fox demon's holder. Ever since then, he's been put under my care ever since the death of his parents. But nowadays, I'm getting older and busy and I can't watch him forever."

"W...what are you trying to say, Lord Third?"

"I have a request...Are you willing to become Naruto's guardian? That is if..you don't have any negative emotions about him..—"

"I accept!" Sarutobi stared at the H/c haired woman.

"You do?"

"Yes! Demon or not, He's still a child! Without proper care, Naruto might accidentally release the beast...! I'm not just doing this because Naruto's part demon...but because I care about him!...like he's my son and I'm his mother!"

Sarutobi smiled at the woman. Finally! A person who wasn't afraid of Naruto and was willing to stay with him despite knowing that he's the holder the the nine-tailed Fox!
That's when Sarutobi gained a lot of respect for Y/n.

Slowly, Sarutobi stood up. "It was a nice talk but I'm afraid that I have to return to my office. Paperwork isn't gonna do itself." He groaned.

"Okay..oh! If if you by any chance, find Naruto, would you please ask him if he would like to live with me? So I could keep a closer eye on him to keep his from causing trouble hehe~!"

"Hm, I'll see what I can do. Until then, Ms. L/n."

After Y/n escorted the Hokage out, she closed the door and sat down.

'A Fox demon huh...'
