Epilogue
2 November 1981
Poets are a special kind of person. It isn't everyday that you meet someone who can write words that could strike the hearts of many, who can use their hearts to string together meaningful words.
He never really considered himself a poet, just a person who turned to writing when he was in a bad place. The journal he held in his hands held the words of a heartbroken person, someone he had become during the time of war.
But, wasn't who he is right now, and who he is going to become more important than the person he was? Shouldn't he be looking out for his current self?
These thoughts in mind, the first thing he wanted to do with the poems was burn them. They were a reminder of all that he had lost, and all that he had felt after. He didn't want to be reminded.
If he didn't think of himself as a poet, then he sure thought of himself as selfless. He didn't need to spend all those hours working by Madam Pomfrey's side, or taking care of his aunt when she fell ill.
So, when he could give his poems to others, why should he keep them to himself?
Burning them would be an act that would shield him from his past, but it wouldn't give him any protection from the wounds. It wouldn't accomplish anything to unwrite the words he so wanted to speak.
He touched the cold necklace he had worn since he found it. The necklace was really a time turner, and maybe he had just found it's purpose.
Standing up abruptly, he nearly tumbled over some laundry he had yet to throw in the hamper. As the sky alerted him of a new day, he apparated on the spot to his favorite book store.

Regulus had been trying to get to Craig ever since he had gotten to Potter Manor. Yet, countless aurors, Ministru workers, and even reporters, had been stopping him short.
As the first turned into the second, he found himself in the flat alone. In his absence, the flat had taken a turn for the worst, and had collected quite the abuse. He took his moments alone to rid the place of any dirt before sitting anxiously on the couch.
The door clicked and he saw the man that had saved him from a path he was sure he would've gone down. Regulus stood up, but faltered when Craig pointed a shaking hand at him, holding a wand.
"Who're you?" He demanded, looking strained.
"C'mon Craig, you know who I am," Regulus said, stepping forward towards him.
Craig dropped his wand to the ground and his hand to his side. Looking hesitant—and rather distressed—he took a step forward too.
"You're alive?" Craig's voice cracked.
Regulus nodded and finally embraced Craig when he rushed forward. Their knees buckled from raw emotion and they soon found themselves hugging while sitting on the floor.
...
Lily and James Potter relished in life without war. They fell deeper in love and raised their two children, Harry James and Mia Rose Potter surrounded in it.
Without the threat of Voldemort hanging over their heads, Lily went on to become a well-respected healer, and James decided to play professional quidditch. The two supported each other in their respective career choices, James often stopping by Lily's office for lunch, and the whole family attending James's quidditch matches.
The boy who lived would not get to spend his days with his parents, but Asher lived with Eve and Darwin McKinnon, who were the best grandparents one could ever ask for. Marlene, as godmother, stepped up and spent a load of time with Asher, often allowing him to stay over at her and Sirius's house.
Sirius went into the hit wizard program with Remus, needing to scratch his itch for adventure somehow. They initially wanted to do a good cop/bad cop scenario, but it turned out that neither of them wanted to be nice to the people they were catching, so it turned out that they both played bad cop.
Remus, as before mentioned, finally secured a steady job with Sirius. While his work life was stable, he still hadn't been able to find "the one." Leilani and him didn't work out—they stayed on speaking terms though—but one day, a pink haired woman stumbled into him and the romantics say it was love at first sight.
He definitely had seen her before, so maybe not first sight. Tonks pined after him for a few months before Lily gave Remus a slap to the head and encouraged him to go after her before she left. They got married soon after and had Teddy.
Alice and Frank were also quite the duo, yet their faces were in the auror department. They were the first two Moody went to for a mission, seeing as he trusted them the most.
Neville was taught in a nurturing environment that kindness above all else was important. He became friends with Asher, Ron, and Harry—and Hermione when the time came.
Mary and Reginald Cattermole got married—it was a lovely affair that Julia finally got the guts to ask Annie to as a date. Mary also became a mother to three children, Maisie, Ellie, and Alfred, who were loved and adored by all.
She didn't know in what field she wanted to work, however, just the idea struck her when speaking to Leilani one day. Leilani had been complaining about the discrimination that werewolves still faced, even after the war was over. This took hold of Mary and she found herself immersed in fighting for those who didn't have a voice, not only werewolves, but other groups discriminated towards too, like house elves.
It appeared that they all got the fairy tale ending they all craved for so many years. All the tears seemed to be worth it to live in a world where everyone was seen equally, where werewolves could get well-paying jobs, and muggle-borns weren't despised for their very existence.
They would never be able to go back to their younger selves and comfort them, but all of them made it through to the end, so maybe it was best to let their stories play out without extra help.
And, Seeing as Voldy-Nose would be forever incarcerated, all was well.
