Chapter 09-Unexpected Guests
Tenya could feel the thundering bass from the back of his throat.
He absolutely despised loud music and the atmosphere that usually came with it.
Yet, here he was; openly serving the street rats and absolute scum of underground Musutafu.
This was probably the only place in Japan-or the world, for that matter-that the spoilt rich and near homeless could congregate.
It had only been a few minutes since Tenya got there, and already there were two barfights to get separated and six persons had passed out.
Just how on earth did he get himself into this mess?

"I need as much help as possible with our...Project."
Katsuki smirked coldly.
Tenya felt his blood go cold.
What was this man going on about?
Did he actually think Tenya would willingly go along with whatever scheme he had in store?
As if reading Tenya's expression, Shoto drew nearer to him and gave his shoulder a firm squeeze.
"Whatever, Katsuki."
He said flatly, before glancing in Tenya's direction.
He wore an alarming, but somber expression.
As if to say,
'I'm sorry, but you don't have a choice' with his eyes.
Next thing he knew, Tenya was being driven through a sketchy back-alley neighborhood in Musutafu.
This led to an underground club, where Katsuki ordered him to 'do what he does best'.
As in, he expected Tenya to cater to several ruthless gangsters; no questions asked.
Although, what he wasn't aware of, was the actual mission in progress.
Honō didn't actually own the club–rather, they owned the turf that the building stood on. They were borrowing it to snuff out rivalling gangs, after Katsuki caught an earful about some snotty pedestrians invading their turf.
Tenya wasn't aware that a good handful of the attendees were apart of the Honō gang.
They were responsible for keeping lookout for when opposing gang members entered.
A great example of a rivalling gang would be the AFO(All For One)gang, although their leader wouldn't step foot in such an establishment.
Or so they thought.

Shoto had been nursing a glass of sparkling water for the better part of an hour.
He had absolutely no idea what 'indications' he was supposed to be looking out for, and he definitely wasn't going to make it obvious.
Denki was blending in well with the rest of the attendees, despite their vague circumstances.
He was in his element, after all.
He was known for his superior knowledge of different types of social gatherings-something that many of his colleagues overlooked.
Per example, his partner, Hanta Sero.
Hanta was a sociable person, but didn't work well with large crowds.
Shoto had started recalling when he'd first met Denki and Hanta. They were inseparable, and never let each other out of sight.
He'd never really asked any questions when the two teens were brought to the base out of the blue.
By that of Katsuki Bakugo himself, nonetheless.
The only person who knew where they came from was Katsuki--and he was going to keep it that way.

An unexplainable unsettled feeling soon became boredom.
Or perhaps he became even more anxious, knowing that there was no way to prove his expectations true.
Was he intended to work mercilessly, a freeloader among several dangerously powerful parasites?
The thought of slaving away at a bartop counter until his dying breath wasn't pleasant, but it still wasn't as bad as–
"Tomura! Tomura! I see him!"
A giddy voice squealed.
Tenya's stomach twisted into a tough knot.
There were definitely some aspects of this new job he had to reconsider.
